Rough Spark: Big Flirt Series Book Two

“I love you,” I breathed.
He pulled me down harder, pushing deeper. Fireworks sparked in my vision. My walls clenched around him as the waves of ecstasy crashed over me. I was drowning in him. Overcome with love.
“Blake, I love you! Always.” I dropped my head. My mouth landed next to his ear. “I love you.”
“Fuckkk,” he hissed.
I wanted him to come with me. Inside me. I trapped him with my legs as my orgasm continued to pulse and rock me. A second later, he splashed his release against my womb. His body shook as he pumped every drop into me.
“Gemma…”
“Shhh.” I placed my hand over his mouth. Making love with the sunshine on our skin was my teenage fantasy; I didn’t want him to say we’d made a mistake. “Don’t say anything.”
He flipped me over with ease as though I were lighter than a feather. My wrists were trapped in his grip over my head. With his cock still inside me, his big body covered mine. Blake rested on his forearm and stared into my eyes. Mesmerized by the aqua shades, I couldn’t look away.
“What are you afraid I’ll say?”
“I’m not afraid of anything. Just wanted to enjoy the blissful moment without words. We did a lot of talking last night.”
“I know you’re fearless. Let me rephrase.” His lip lifted into a panty-melting grin. A smile so hot, I was surprised the room didn’t spontaneously combust into flames. “What the hell was that?”
“A dream come true,” I replied, trying and failing to pull my arms free. “Good morning.”
He chuckled. “Waking up with a gorgeous woman riding my cock is something I could get used to. Seeing your pretty face as you cum all over my dick is the best way to start my day.” He glanced over at the side table where the clock was located. “We’ve got another hour before I need to open the shop.”
“Only an hour,” I pouted and pulled my bottom lip between my teeth.
“Plenty of time for me to worship your curves and make you cum again. Your tight pussy is so greedy, it’s already squeezing me and demanding more.”
“I do want more, but we were careless. We didn’t use a condom, and I’m not on birth control. Last night, we waited because we’re smart and responsible adults.”
His smile widened. Devilish and enticing. “I love that you were so completely overcome with desire that you acted impulsively.”
“Acted irrationally,” I corrected. “Aren’t you concerned? We’re not protected.”
“Not worried in the slightest. You’d look sexier than ever pregnant with my baby.”
I rolled my eyes. “Liar.”
“Gemma, I’m serious. I already find you irresistible and that won’t change. Feeling your wet heat surround me is fucking amazing. Without a condom, I can feel every ripple and pulse of your tight pussy.”
“I don’t remember your dirty talk being so—”
His lips swallowed my sentence. I melted from the heat of the kiss. With our bodies still joined, Blake made love to my mouth. We kissed for a long time. His cock thickened, stretching me again. He slowly pulled his massive length from my core, only to surge back in with controlled force. With my body pinned to the bed, I could do little but give into the sensations of this magnificent man giving himself to me. When he pulled his lips away, I was breathless and panting for air.
“Whatever else you have to do today can wait. We are going to take our time.” He thrust his hips, diving deeper. “This morning is about us. No barriers. We make the rules.”
“Fine. No condoms. I love the way you say we.”
He released my wrists and trailed his fingers along my jaw. “For the record, I love you too.”
No sweeter words had ever been said. My heart skipped a beat as the broken pieces mended. First loves have a way of sticking with you and I was elated to have mine back.
He kissed me and palmed my breast. I raked my nails along his sides, grabbed his ass and yanked our bodies closer. We made love again. Slow and unhurried. The passion flowed stronger than a mighty ocean current. The second orgasm was even more explosive than the first. I screamed his name as I shattered. My screams were loud enough to wake the neighbors. Not that I cared.
“Mine.” His long lashes drifted against his cheek. My name drifted from his red lips over and over like a mantra as he found his release. The heat splashed against my core. “My Gemma.”
“Yes,” I huffed as the weight of his body pressed me into the mattress.
He kissed my forehead and rolled next to me. “I’m glad you’re back.”
“Me too.”
We had years of stolen orgasms to make up for, and I looked forward to each one. This was the beginning of our second chance. Sticky and sweaty, we left the bed and showered. Our hands were everywhere. I drank the water from his sun-kissed skin as my lips and tongue devoured every inch of him. When he dropped to his knees and tossed my leg over his shoulder, my head hit the white, subway tiles with enough force for me to see stars.
“Blake… right there!” As the water cascaded over me, I came against his mouth. Fast and hard.
He turned off the water and took my hand. “Good morning,” he said with a wink.
I hated watching him cover all those muscles and bronzed skin, but he had work to do. We had responsibilities. After we dressed, I clutched the banister and watched him slip into his boots. As I glanced at the stairs my cheeks heated.
“That blush is damn pretty. Distracting actually.” He stood and adjusted his crotch. “If it wasn’t my turn to open this morning, I’d lift that skirt and eat you again.”
I giggled and pressed my thighs together. “Wish you didn’t have to leave either, but I’ll take a rain check.”
“Count on it,” he said, leaning against the door. “You sure you’re okay if I leave you alone?”
Looking towards the living room, I sighed. A picture of my grandfather and I hung over the fireplace. It was taken the day we moved to Lakeside. His green eyes are on me as I look towards the lake.
“Your smile is beautiful in that pic. There’s a sparkle in your eye. You look happy.”
“If you look closer, you’ll see yourself in that shot. You’re rowing the canoe on the lake.”
He stepped past me and inspected the enlarged photograph. “I’ll be damned. Never saw you that day.”
I wrapped my arms around his waist, hugging him from behind. “It was love at first sight, or lust at first sight at least. The next day when you rowed by again, I told my mother I was going to marry you. She lost it.”
His body went rigid, and he exhaled loudly. “Your folks won’t be happy with us. I can’t even guess what they’ll do to us this time.”
“It’s not my job to make them happy.”
“You sure about that?” He turned and faced me. “They won’t ever approve of you choosing me. A mechanic from Lakeside isn’t the partner they envisioned for their only daughter.”
“They aren’t in charge of my life. Whom I choose to love isn’t up for debate. I love you,” I declared, threading our fingers together.
“Instead of boxing stuff up today, come with me. I’m not ready to let you go.”
“You just want me to do your accounting,” I teased.
“True, but I also want you by my side all day and all night. We can sneak in a little playtime between work.” He waggled his brows.
This gorgeous man made me feel wanted. The only other person in my life that made me feel like that was my grandfather. I often thought they were a lot alike. Both smart, funny, determined and family oriented. Probably the only two men on the planet who ever asked what I wanted and listened.
“Deal. I’m not ready to let you go either.”
We left my grandfather’s house and arrived at the shop before anyone else. I made good on my debt, using my degree to comb over his numbers. His books weren't in that bad of shape, but he needed to hire someone part-time to keep things organized. I almost asked for the job but bit my tongue. That would mean staying. A c
ommitment. A deviation to the life set out for me. Setting roots in Lakeside and being with Blake was the opposite of what my parents wanted.
As the day went on, I expected him to ask me to stay, but the words never came. Yet, his smoldering eyes and cheeky smile conveyed the message loud and clear. He loved me. He didn’t want something from me or to change me. Blake accepted me, flaws and all.
With every passing hour, the more I craved this simpler life. Forget the yachts, island hopping and networking. I never fit into that mold or enjoyed the attention. I'd always known where I belonged. Years ago, I’d been a coward who caved to family pressure. No matter what I decided, I wouldn't be able to please everyone, but it was time to try to please myself.
Putting my needs first was foreign for me. I might have a rebel streak, but I had never outwardly defied my parents. Their power and influence over me had to end at some point. It was time to break free. I wasn’t crazy. The battle ahead wouldn’t be easy. If they loved me, they’d understand. Good parents would want to see their child happy. Blake made me happy.
I arranged my hand over my stomach and smiled. If I was carrying Blake’s baby, this was the place I wanted to raise him or her. Sneaking around wasn't an option this time but going public was a massive step. Secrets wrecked relationships. He wasn’t my enemy. He was my future.
Chapter Nine
Blake
Her lips tasted like wild raspberries. I moaned hungrily into her mouth as my fingers tangled in her long black hair. She sat on the edge of my newly organized desk and wrapped her legs around me, drawing me closer. Before things got heated, I pulled away. Resting my forehead against hers, I smiled. I had an important question to ask. The past two days had brought us closer than ever.
“I want to um… we should—”
My office door opened. “Gemma, I tried to add yesterday’s order to the file you created, but it’s giving me errors and hashtags,” Janet whined. Her eyes avoided me as she rolled her sleeve, exposing her forearm tattoos. “Oh. I… hope I wasn’t interrupting anything.”
Gemma’s cheeks turned an adorable shade of pink. “No, it’s fine. I’ll come to your computer and walk you through it.”
“Cool.”
I helped her off the desk. She pushed my hand away and straightened her floral skirt, smoothing the wrinkles. Once her outfit was in order, she fanned her face and winked at me.
“I’ll mess it up again soon,” I promised as I followed them out of the back office.
Gemma yelped when I swatted her ass. “Blake behave. We’re at work,” she admonished, before she disappeared into the front.
My question would have to wait. Dean and Owen were swapping an alternator while my old man leaned against the counter. The bay doors were open, and the afternoon sun baked the concrete. The overhead fans couldn’t keep up with the sweltering temperatures. Sweat dripped down the side of his face. He wiped it away with a rag, leaving a smear of grease on his cheek.
“You got something on your face,” I said, pointing at his left cheek.
“So do you,” he shot back. “Not sure your grin could get any bigger, son.”
It was impossible to erase the smile from my face. Ma and the guys had ribbed me incessantly since Gemma’s return, but I couldn’t stop. Having her back filled a void I hadn’t realized was there. She fit seamlessly into my world.
“It’s probably pussy juice on his face,” Owen yelled. “Anyone else notice that Blake’s been walking taller since he started getting regular sex?”
If he’d been within reach, I’d have punched him in the throat. The coward made his comments on the other side of the truck because he knew better. Even his lack of tact couldn’t bring me down. I was too damn excited to have a night off.
“Shut your mouth!”
My brother smacked him for me. “You’re just jealous,” Dean replied. “One day the love bug will bite you too.”
I rolled my eyes. Dean and Ariel were in domestic heaven. The envy that used to burn in my chest had vanished; replaced with longing and understanding. If Gemma ended up pregnant, I’d be over the moon. With the amount of sex we’d been having, it was a strong possibility.
“Gross. Keep those fucking bugs away from me.”
I smirked as Chelsey Locket walked through the open bay door. Stopping next to me, she giggled. Her long, blonde curls were piled high on her head in a messy bun and tendrils framed her heart-shaped face. The girl was as wild as her hair. Cute kid, but trouble followed her around like a lost puppy. Her dating track record was nearly as bad as Owen and she had a crush on my cousin. Not that he noticed. She was too young and his best friend’s little sister.
“Never took you for a sissy afraid of bugs,” she said, crossing her arms over her chest.
He stepped out from behind the truck with a scowl on his face. “Did you eavesdrop on the entire conversation or just catch the last bit? Context is important. Not that I’d expect a little girl to understand. Probably best you didn’t hear everything. Why are you here?”
She jutted her hip out and placed her hand on it. “Kev asked me to drop off something for you on my way to work.” She pulled an envelope from her purse, crumpled it in her hand and tossed it at Owen. It landed a foot away from his boots. “Consider it delivered.”
I laughed as she sauntered out with her head high. Her big ass swayed in an exaggerated manner. The girl had a stronger bite than a pit bull and probably just as hard to tame. Chelsey and Owen were a lot alike.
My cousin watched her leave before he picked up the scrunched, white envelope. “Menace,” he mumbled, tearing open the package. A wad of bills emerged which he stuffed into his pocket.
“What’s that?” Pops raised his eyebrow.
“Kevin owed me a few bucks. No big deal.”
“Nothing ruins a friendship faster than money and women. Keep that in mind, boy.”
Owen rubbed the back of his neck and shrugged his shoulders. “Duly noted, but Kev and I have been friends since we were babies. He’s practically family. If he needs my help, I’ll always say yes. There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for him or anyone in my family.”
“Don’t say I didn’t warn you.” My old man’s hair was damp. Using the rag, he wiped his face again. He seemed paler than usual. “I’m heading into the front too cool down.”
Dean used his forearm to wipe the sweat from his brow. “You okay? Did you take your pills today?”
Pops ran his fingers through his white hair and released a long breath. “You boys need to stop fussing about me. I’m fine. It’s hotter than an active volcano in here.”
I watched as he slowly pushed off the counter. His movements seemed strained. I worried he’d been pushing himself too much. When he’d offered to stick around so I could have a night off, I’d jumped at the chance, but now I wasn’t so sure.
“Take a break. You deserve it,” I said. “In fact, take the rest of the day off. We can—”
“Hell no! You take your woman out. I’m hot; not fucking dying.” He stormed away, stomping his feet.
“He’s right,” Dean said.
Owen grabbed a towel off the counter and walked towards me. “It is sweltering today. Record setting heat wave. We should close and hit the beach.”
“Can’t afford to close,” Dean and I said in unison.
My brother smirked. “He’s right about you and Gemma. She’s been cooped inside since she arrived. Either at Henry’s or here. The woman is probably used to being wined and dined. If you want to keep her, you better step up your game, bro.”
“She happens to like my game,” I countered.
“It’s time you two have a proper date,” Dean suggested.
I’d been thinking the same thing. Gemma had spent the past two days packing her grandfather's house and helping me with spreadsheets. Numbers would never be my thing, but she was a whiz. It was sexy as hell watching her chew the end of her glasses while she combed over expense reports. More than once, I’d locked the door and mad
e love to her in my office. We spent every spare hour together, sharing meals, laughs, a bed and our bodies. It was perfect. Except, the only people who knew about us was my family.
“Go shower. We’ve got your back.” Owen shoved me towards the washroom.
“Fine.” I marched towards the shower, then stopped and glanced over my shoulder. “But keep an eye on Pops. I’d never forgive myself if he dropped dead while I sat at a candlelit dinner wooing a woman who already loves me.”
“Love needs to be nourished too. I take Ariel out every chance I get.”
“You mean you bend her over and plow into her every chance you get,” Owen teased, earning a shoulder punch from Dean. “We’re all cut from the same cloth.”
“We are not.”
“Can’t deny we were built to satisfy the opposite sex. Long tongues. Big hands. Even bigger…”
I closed the door to the washroom, drowning their conversation. Those two would never change. I didn’t have time to waste on their shenanigans. After a quick shower, I changed into a pair of cargo shorts and a blue, button-down shirt. It was far from fancy, but it was clean. The guys were still razzing each other when I stepped back into the shop.
As I entered the front area, I instantly noticed my woman bent over the desk. The fine globes of her ass attracted my attention. If Ma and Janet weren’t crowded around her, I’d have lifted that skirt and taken her from behind. My cock pressed against my shorts, loving the idea.
Not now. Before we made love again, I planned to treat her to a night out. A proper date. Something that was long overdue in our relationship.
Shoving my dirty thoughts aside, I closed the distance in two strides. I placed my hand on the small of her back. She grinned at me over her shoulder. With her glasses perched in the tangled mess of midnight strands, she’d never looked prettier, but I could tell something wasn’t right. The smile didn’t reach her eyes. Almost like she was frazzled.
“Crisis fixed?”
“Yeah,” Ma answered. “You clean up nicely.”
Gemma stood and covered her eyes with her thick glasses. Her eyes roamed my body. The green flecks in her eyes sparkled like polished jade. “Very handsome. What’s the occasion?” The slight rattle in her voice didn’t go unnoticed.
