The Circus Infinitus - To the End of the Earth

For an instant bright beams of light could be seen as they emerged from the umbrella and wove an image around the sleeping dragon, then a large, rocky outcropping appeared in Bethelrath’s place, and when Isabella and Lady Frankenstein touched it, they felt only cold, hard stone beneath their fingertips.
“So when will she wake up?” asked Lady Frankenstein.
Isabella shrugged. “Who knows? She could sleep for centuries now. When she fell unconscious she was convinced she was dying. Maybe … she will never wake up.”
“No, she will wake, I’m sure of it,” said Icarus. “One day, in the future, her egg will hatch and she’ll want to see her child.”
As Icarus, Lady Frankenstein and Isabella returned to the Circus Infinitus, they found the tall, cloaked form of the Ringmaster waiting for them on the road. He had the Russian tracker with him, who was looking around in confusion, wondering why they had moved during the night. “I heard there was some sort of battle here,” Del declared as the trio appeared.
“Yes, there was a bit of a debacle. But it’s all over now.” I’ll explain fully later in my laboratory, when we’re alone, he sent telepathically.
Del nodded and turned to the Russian to speak to him. Icarus, Lady Frankenstein and Isabella continued up onto the platform. Icarus figured they would probably be moving again shortly, and checked that everything was ready. Now the Circus Infinitus could simply fly from place to place, they didn’t need to use the coal-guzzling Omniportallis as often – only when they wanted to jump large distances.
Later, Del appeared in his laboratory and Icarus told him all about Bethel, and how she had really been Bethelrath the dragon. He explained about Sir Arturo, detailed the battle and the operations conducted to save the dragon’s life.
The only thing he didn’t tell Del about was Bethelrath’s egg, now safely stashed at the back of a shelf in his laboratory.
That was one secret he wanted to keep from Necronis.
