Decisions of the Heart

Thalia was not herself. Her brown eyes had changed to blue, and her hair was bright yellow blonde. There were freckles on her nose and her lips were extra full and pink. She looked beautiful, but nothing compared to her light brown hair that fell in shiny waves. Those deep brown eyes that held me captive since the day I first saw them. This must be one of her powers I never knew about. She had discovered much about herself while on her journey to the cave, but I never knew what exactly. No one did.
“You can change your appearance,” I whispered. She brought her strange blue eyes up and met mine then nodded.
“I um…I found out I could on the journey. It was how I got into the village to bathe without being noticed. I’m still not in control of it.” Her voice was starting to harden. She was calming down, and I was grateful. If I had to just ask her a bunch of questions or get her talking to make it all better, then I would do just that.
“Tell me about it.” She snuggled against me in a different way this time, not sobbing and clenching onto a life line, but just wanting to be embraced in the warmth of my arms. Leander still sat next to us. He gave me a wink and listened as Thalia started talking about her journey.
The longer she talked, the more I felt her soul finding peace. She might not be completely healed, but her letting it all out was helping.
Once she was finished with her amazing tale, her appearance was back to normal.
“Thank you, both of you.” She gave both Leander and I a small smile.
Leander full on, without any shame, tackled both of us, hugging us on the floor. He gave her a quick kiss on the cheek and stood up to walk to his room.
“Tristan, kiss me.” She pulled back to look at me. Her eyes looked at my lips and moved back to my eyes. A small chuckle left me as I closed the distance and connected our lips.
A little moan crawled up from her chest as my tongue pressed against the seam of her lips. She opened to me and our tongues tangled. Our kiss was hard, yet soft at the same time. Her hands wrapped around my back, bringing me against her body. In a flash she was lying on the floor with me above her. She writhed under me, moving her hips against me. I groaned and pressed my cock against her. He fingers bit into my skin through my shirt and I snapped. Thalia always had the power to make me lose control. I was too impatient to even take the time to carry her to the bed, so I transported us. Once her back hit the bed were grabbing like fools to remove our clothing. Sometimes I wished for the simple clothing we used to wear in Egypt. So easy to remove.
“Tristan,” she groaned my name impatiently. Once the last of our clothing was gone my mouth moved over her soft skin hungrily. My need for her was otherworldly. She watched as my lips moved down to her hardened nipple. Her nails scratched my head and I latched on, sucking and nipping just the way she always liked me to do. My Thalia always had a rough streak to her. She wanted to be owned, possessed. I loved to possess her body, make her cry out my name while she clenched on my cock in ecstasy.
My mouth moved from one breast to the other. Teasing her, warming her up for me. Slowly I moved down towards her sweet sex. She was pink and glistening. My warm breath reached her and she shook in anticipation. I inhaled her scent of arousal for me. I was overwhelmed with the need to give her pleasure.
My mouth was on her in seconds. Her body jolted like she was hit with lightening. Soon her cries were loud and she found release. Before she came down completely, I crawled up her body and was pushing into her. Inch by sweet inch.
“Fuck, you are amazing,” I growled as her warm sex embraced me. She fit me like she was made me for me. She was my destiny.
Her legs wrapped around my waist as I moved in and out of her slick heat. She was perfect.
Sweat glistened on her breasts as they bounced with every thrust. Time was endless, we moved together and found release, but it wasn’t over. We could go on forever. We worshipped each other’s bodies for hours until the morning light broke through the curtains.
We lay there, wrapped in each other’s arms in a tangle of sheets.
“I love you,” she spoke as she ran a finger over my tattoo for her. The look on her face was still etched into my brain when she saw it for the first time. She was so excited and nervous. My love for her was out on my skin for the whole world to see.
“As I love you,” I whispered while placing a kiss on her forehead.
“Do you think I’m going to be ok?” She was scared, I could feel her uncertainty. Even if I didn’t have all of the answers right now, I knew she would be ok. It was the only answer I would allow.
After spending all that time wrapped in each other’s arms, we decided it was time to go out and face the world. We took a hot shower and dressed for the day. Leander and Lacey were out in the kitchen eating some breakfast.
“Morning, guys. I made pancakes!” Lacey squealed before taking a bite of said pancake. A soft chuckle escaped from Thalia and I relished in the sound. I wanted her to smile and laugh as much as possible. But I knew such moments of laughter were short. Orion was still out there and I knew he would not give up on his long quest for Thalia.
“Morning, dove,” Leander said with a knowing smile. I felt the heat from Thalia’s blush from next to me where she stood. I just shook my head and made us some plates while she sat down at the table.
We all sat there and ate our food while making small talk. It was nice to talk about the weather, sports, trivial things of no importance. Once we were all sated, Leander was the one to break the silence on what we were all thinking.
Chapter 14
“So, we need to have a plan. We all know Orion is going to retaliate somehow.” He was right. I’d thought about it a little and knew for sure one thing.
“I don’t think he will attack right away. I think the best thing to do is just prepare. Thalia, we need to get you comfortable with your physical skills and your powers. We will all work with you until you can control them.” I took a sip of my drink and waited for someone to disagree with that plan. Attacking Orion would do no good, and he wouldn’t hurt Thalia again, so she was in no true harm. However, I needed her ready for any type of battle. She never had a chance to truly learn her powers before she was taken.
Everyone at the table just nodded.
“I think that is the best strategy. Defense,” Leander commented. He would know, with Ares being his father he had knowledge of situations like this. I watched as Lacey just shook her head agreeing with Leander. Thalia was just staring at her empty plate.
“Thalia?” I coaxed
She lifted her head and looked at me.
“I agree. I need to figure out what all I can do in this life.” Her voice sounded sad. My hand sought out hers. She gave me a weak smile then excused herself to go to the bathroom. Once she was in, Lacey spoke quietly.
“She’s really struggling.” We all knew that but it was sad to see. I wanted to burn Athena for forcing Thalia’s memories on her.
“She needs time. It’s a lot to accept. She’s familiar in this time, but she also feels the unease of her past self in this time. Both sides are in a constant war for control.” Thalia’s soul was pulling in those two different directions. Last night while we were lying in each other’s arms, she confessed how she was feeling. I kissed away her tears and showed her the one thing in both past and present that was the same. Our love. If anything, I felt more love for her after waiting so long.
Thalia came back and we continued talking about our plans for her training. Lacey even jumped in saying she wanted some physical training. She wasn’t a fighter, but it would be good for her to know how to defend herself. Orion would not be above using someone else to influence Thalia.
After the conversations of breakfast ended, we split directions. Lacey had to go to her apartment but promised she would be back and with a big duffle. Leander said he just wanted to do something normal for a change so he plopped himself down on the couch and played some video games. I was tempted to join him, but Thalia had something else in mind.

“Can we go to Spectacle Island?” she looked at me with those beautiful brown eyes and I couldn’t say no. Not that I would tell her no to anything anyway. I would do anything for her.
“Of course, love.” I leaned in as she closed her eyes and pressed my lips to hers. Soft and warm. Her tongue snuck out and licked my lower lip before giving it a nip, enticing a growl from me.
“Do you wish for me to fuck you again so soon. love? I was giving you today to rest after last night, but if you keep up teasing me you will find yourself up against that wall impaled on my cock.” I felt her shiver beneath me. In her past life this type of language was not used. But in this life, I loved words like fuck, cock, pussy. I’d grow hungry for her the more I learned of how sex had changed from in Egypt. I was glad. A small moan escaped her and I couldn’t take anymore. I picked her up from the living room and carried her to her bedroom. As soon as I closed the door, her pants were gone in seconds. I unzipped my pants, not even willing to push them off before I hoisted her up and impaled her against the wall. Her head fell back and I ravished her open neck. Her hands gripped me, holding on as best as she could while I fucked her hard.
Her head came back down and latched onto my lips, pushing me with her mouth to go harder. I gathered all of my strength and moved at almost a punishing pace. Moments later her sweet pussy clenched and I swallowed the cries of her release. Her slick sex milked me in waves until I found my own glorious climax.
“Forever yours, love,” she mumbled into my mouth. A small chuckle came out at her purely sated voice. She was completely limp in my arms.
“Ditto, love.” It was her turn to chuckle at my choice of words. Slowly I eased off her and carried her to her bed. I flashed into the bathroom, got a warm washcloth and flashed back into her room to clean her up.
“Really? You just flash yourself around my apartment with that hanging out?” I looked at her in confusion then followed her gaze to my crotch. I had forgotten to re-zip my jeans up. I shook my head and took care of that problem.
“Afraid I’ll make Leander jealous of my impressive manhood?” I teased.
“Not at all. But it would give him a good laugh.” She used her thumb and pointer finger to gesture a small dick. I scoffed. She laughed and I decided to inflict punishment for her false accusation by tickling her. It was very amusing to listen to her screams of laughter.
“Ok! OK! You have a dick so big horses are jealous! Just stop tickling me!” she begged. I took pity on her and ceased my torture. She was taking in gulps of air, trying to calm herself. I reached down to the ground and grabbed her pants for her. She shook her head and went to grab some shorts and sandals.
“Let me go tell Leander we are leaving and then we can go.” She gave me a kiss on the cheek and went out to see her roommate. As soon as I walked out of her bedroom she was back and jumping into my arms.
“Let’s go,” she whispered against my neck. I shook my head and transported us to a safe spot on the island, away from anyone who might see us.
We spent the rest of the day relaxing in the sun. I threw her in the water once, she was pissed for all of ten minutes, then was being all sweet to me. I should have known she was planning revenge that whole time. She waited until I had forgotten about the incident and then used her body against me. Those sweet kisses and her body against mine was all it took to distract me before she pushed me back into the crashing waves. She laughed so hard she fell onto the sand. I found my way over to her and covered her body in the sand with mine. Her smile was big and bright. I wanted more days like this. I didn’t want to always think there was some threat hanging over our heads ready to take away our happiness. Thalia deserved happiness.
Leaning in I gave her a quick kiss then pulled back. She was so amazingly beautiful, inside and out.
“You are so handsome,” she whispered.
“You are so beautiful,” I whispered right back.
There were no other words that needed to be uttered. We both knew how each other felt. What we felt was something beyond words. Our love has been strong for thousands of years, and we will love each other for thousands more. Which reminded me of something, but for the first time in all my existence I felt vulnerable with my thoughts. It must have shown on my face because she asked me about it.
“What’s wrong? Are you ok?” She was full of concern. I lifted my arm and touched the edge of her face, finding comfort in touching her.
“Marry me,” I spoke softly.
Chapter 15
I’d been trying to marry this woman for a long time. I wasn’t sure this was the right time, and maybe we would wait until all of this mess with Orion was finally over, but I had to know that she still wanted to marry me. I watched her eyes widen and a gasp escape her. Time stood still for a moment before I spoke again trying to ease the pressure.
“I know in this life we haven’t known each other as long, but you are the only woman in all of existence for me, and I’ve been waiting thousands of years to make you mine in every way possible. Our love is strong and beautiful. I…” She put her hand over my mouth ceasing my words. I just stared at her beautiful eyes.
“Yes, you loon. I want to be yours in every way I can be.” She smiled and my heart stuttered. She said yes.
“But, I think we should wait until everything passes with Orion. I don’t want to keep up our loop of our weddings being interrupted.” She did have a point. I was starting to think about those memories when she squealed beneath me.
“The rings!” She started laughing uncontrollably. I looked at her trying to figure out what she was laughing at but came up with nothing.
“You know… the first time I saw the rings in this life. I freaked because I thought you had been married before. And you told me it was nothing. They were ours! That is really cool in a timeline kind of way!” She kept on laughing and soon I found myself laughing with her. I was so frustrated at that moment when she found the rings. I wanted to tell her everything right then but couldn’t. She was jealous of herself, even if she didn’t know it.
“I think I’m ready to head back now. Maybe we can just relax and watch a movie or something. Then tomorrow we can start training. I’m kinda interested in seeing what all I can do,” she spoke while brushing my hair off my forehead. I nodded and turned to kiss her palm.
“As you wish love.”
All was quiet when I transported us back into the apartment. Leander and Lacey were nowhere to be seen. Thalia left my arms and sauntered towards the bathroom. She turned and put on a devious smile.
“Coming, big boy?” she beckoned while her eyes roamed over me with desire. My smirk graced my lips, and I flashed in front of her and crushed her lips to mine. She let out a giggle and we proceeded to take a very naughty shower. I enjoyed every blessed moment of it.
After our shower session, we dressed and she settled on the couch while I cooked her some dinner. We put in The Mummy Two again, she kept comparing the movie to the actual Egypt. It was nice now that were no more secrets between us. She knew everything. Well, not everything. She had still yet to ask how Orion was still alive. He was just a demigod. Demigods don’t live forever, only Gods can. Thoughts of Orion brought anger to my soul. I should have demolished him back in that cave when he had killed Thalia. Accident or not, she died. Orion fled the scene and in his guilt of killing the woman he loved, he sold his soul to his mother, vowing to serve her for eternity in exchange for a longer life so he could wait to be with Thalia again.
Orion was fueled by guilt and misplaced love. In all of these years I had kept tabs on him, wanting to kill him but I knew Thaila wouldn’t want me to do that. A simple flick of the wrist and he would be ash. The worst part was over the thousands of years he had taken many women. If he had truly loved Thalia like I did, there would be no other substitute.
His love for her was not true. I didn’t really know what it was now. His soul felt extreme guilt for her dying, but one would think letting her be to live the life she wanted
would make amends. Instead he kidnapped her and his bitch of a mother forced her to remember everything.
Even while on the beach I would notice her demeanor change. One minute she would be present Thalia then her eyes would gloss over and she would look confused. It would only last a few minutes but it happened about four times, which was four times too many. I looked down at her, she had fallen asleep in my arms close to the end of the movie. The credits had just started to roll on. I wished I knew how to help her.
“Anubis. We wish to speak to you,” Osiris’s voice whispered through my head. I was being called upon. I wrapped my arms around Thalia, lifting her up I carried her to her bed and laid her down. I closed my eyes and imagined a piece of papyrus and my message on it. It appeared on her bed as I opened my eyes. Leaning down I kissed her lips gently before transporting myself to the location of the call.
I was confused when I found myself in my Boston apartment.
“Please, make yourself at home.” I walked into my kitchen ignoring my guests and grabbed a beer. I turned and took a sip.
“Anubis, there is no need to be rude. We are simply here to check on your Thalia. Despite what you may think we do actually care for your happiness now,” Isis spoke. My eyes flicked to her. She was always beautiful with her black hair and dark brown eyes. She reminded me of Aphrodite. Both women were beautiful and feminine, but could also be big bitches.
My gaze left hers and traveled to Osiris, his skin still had the greenish tint to it, but Isis nor Osiris looked a day over forty. I took a deep breath and voiced my feelings, knowing they could probably feel it anyways.
“Her memories were forced on her by Athena. Her past and present self struggle for control in her mind. So far, present Thalia is winning, but past Thalia pushes through sometimes. It’s very hard on her to remember both and be in this age.” They both nodded understanding fully what I meant. The world now was vastly different than what it was before. Isis sat down in a chair she had materialized.
