by E. P. Clark

“Well, if we can’t gallop…” said Vladislava, and set off at a trot back to the kremlin.

The horses were also feeling the cold, and were eager to return to their warm stable and supper, and soon the trot turned to a canter, which grew faster and faster into what could probably be called a gallop, but somehow no one could or would rein them in. The dark air rushed past Slava’s face.   About the Author

E.P. Clark’s first story was about a ghost in the bushes back in her native Kentucky. Fortunately for all concerned, it has not survived. Since then diverse adventures have happened, many of them unexpectedly involving Russia. Having, much to her surprise, gained the ability to speak Russian, she then went on to complete her Ph.D. in the subject. When she is not writing, she teaches Russian and contemplates the mysteries of poetic form. She is the author of multiple short stories; this her second novel in what is shaping up to be a seven-volume trilogy. You can read more about her at http://epclarkauthor.net.
