Ayo stared at the king for a moment then looked down and kneeled apologizing. "Of course, I allowed my anger to get the better of me for that I apologize, I've committed sin towards you and beg to be forgiven, King, but I deeply request that this wedding doesn't take place the Princess is meant to serve her people, in her land. I find that it would be disrespectful of the king not only to lose his life in this realm but his daughter as well. "

The king analyzed his words and soon dismissed him. As Ayo was leaving the crown prince was ready to follow him and speak to him, with a call from his father to stay, the crown prince submitted and did as he was told.

When Ayo was good enough, and away the king began to speak.

"I've been thinking" he started as he looked at his son. "As much as I enjoy having Princess Ada with us do you not think she has a duty to her people to serve them? I must admit as below, me as it is it was out of pity I accepted the proposal you made to me, and there are countless women eligible for— "

The crown prince without hesitation spoke the word "no."

"As much as I respect you, father, I can't allow you to corrupt my happiness. You've gotten to women so quickly in the past just out of pure physical attraction. The attraction I have with Ada is not a tale, nor is it going to end by your request, you have many sons, I didn't ask for this position of the heir, you gave it to me out of pity for loss of my mother. If this position is what's going to prevent me from being with her, I request that you dismiss me from the court as your heir."

The king flustered looked to his son. " Out of pity, I tell you that I approved your enchantment to Ada, but as I dwell more on the idea, the marriage itself is illogical. You will both endure a lot of hardship from others, the only thing receiving your respect for your relationship is the existence of the power that you have, and now you want to throw that away?!?!?" He raised his voice and slammed his hand on the throne. "I want a pure line for generations to come, with her that can't be provided" The King ended.

" There are countless reasons why she shouldn't leave, with her being here for so long, she understands our methods and role as a kingdom, a general's daughter isn't familiar with the character as she is, she isn't just from a wealthy family, but she is a royal herself. She doesn't submit, and she is entitled to great power, a child of two different power filled lands. Father, she doesn't need us; therefore there is no selfish reason for her to use me to gain a title, like some of the women about this land." The Crown Prince ranted.

The king looked at his son, sighed in annoyance at his disrespect and stubbornness before speaking. "She's made you stubborn." the king replied as he massaged his forehead.

"She's made me realize there is no wrong in slight selfishness for the sake of one's happiness, if it's truly something you deserve, just as I deserve the right to be with someone that I actually love."

"Jin-Hwan! You're a prince, a designated leader! Love? That's not what this position is about, this position whether you accept it or not it's about defending your people and their ability to strive. There is no time for selfishness unless it's the growth of one's country, as much as she is dear to my heart, every other country out there is a competitor, we aren't giving an opponent a share of our land." the king started, but suddenly he stopped at the cry of his name.

"FATHER! " the crown prince yelled with his feet firm as he dared to stare into the king's eyes.

The king in surprise stopped what he was saying and looked at his son in disappointment at the tone he used and the disrespect he gave.

"Year after year I give you false smiles, I act as if everything has been alright all along, and you as a father couldn't even tell when I was lying every time I placed a smile on my face?

Since mother died, you truly lost your touch on accuracy. I don't blame my siblings for not favoring me like they do one another, because to them the death of my mother was the cause of your change in attitude towards them, therefore my fault."

" JIN-HWAN " the king shouted but his son continued

"No, father. That's why they treat you as they do; they are unthankful and only come to you when they need help because that's how you treated them. They have grown greedy because of it, now when I ask you once in my life to give me something like you've given them I am asked to stop. Day after day I sat alone in my room and wrote letters to my mother that she would never read, have you noticed my writing room is still the same size as when I was young?"

The crown prince stared at his father " Ada, a stranger to the land made me a friend in the time we've spent together, she has come to know me more than I know myself, I enjoy the life I live and more so I enjoy it with her. Therefore no words you could say would allow me to want otherwise, you couldn't go back on your word with you allowed Princess Ki to place her in prison, so I won't enable you to go back on your word on our already agreed marriage."

The king rushed down from the throne and raising his hands, and he slapped the crown prince.

"I want you to be silent; do you now, say that the death of your mother is my doing? You're just as unthankful as your siblings. Your mother died of childbirth, what fault, do I have in that?" He asked rhetorically.

" The stress of the countless women you brought in and out of your room, while you called her your queen, she cried night after night unsure why you didn't love her, she grew too weak for a job that required extensive strength. " The crown prince replied looking at the king, he passed the point of disrespect he could give his father and he wanted to do so to his full extent.

The king's eyes widen, and once again he slapped the crown prince "If it's Ada's doing that's making you so bold I will request this moment that she be sent home back onto the boat you wish for Ayo to take." The king shouted.

" Your highness, the moment you do that will be the day, just like the child you were asking moments ago to give you a chance as a father, I will also deny you as a father."

With that the prince bowed and excused himself and he raced out of the throne room and back to the royal quarters, to stay by Ada's side as much as he could. In fear that the king would actually try and return her home, proving to his fear and sadness he felt when he was told he was going to be a father.

"That despicable, boy." The King said to himself as he grabbed onto the armrest of this throne.

"After... EVERYTHING I'VE DONE FOR HIM!!" The king shouted pounding his aging hands on the throne's armrest, shaking he stared at the door as if the crown prince's presence still resided there, looking at the crown prince's ghost the king replayed the events that had taken place still in shock at his son's disobedience.

" All this over a woman?" He asked himself.

"Was it Ada, who stood next to you at your mother's funeral, isn't it I that passed down power to you? Do you not know your father's worth? " he shouted louder and louder to himself.

In the excitement the king felt his chest give off a small pain, so he stopped. Pressed his hand across his chest and laid back into the seat where he resided. "Ahh, this son of mine is a vermin send to me to punish me for all my sins " he mumbled to himself.

The crown prince arrived at the royal grounds to see Ada sitting outside on the steps speaking to Ayo, he rushed towards her, stood next to her and stared at Ayo standing before them. "What's the problem?" The crown prince asked Ada, Ada wiping away tears looked down and said: "Does your father no longer want us to be?" She mumbled.

The crown prince's eyes flared up and turned to Ayo he walked towards him and grabbed him by his collar, walked him towards the blossom tree as Ayo tried to push him off. The crown prince slammed his back on the tree trunk causing leaves to trickle down.

"Are you not aware that even the weakest of beast find strength when their own is being threatened?" He asked softly as he moved his head about to meet Ayo's eyes.

The prince looked deadly into Ayo's eyes and shouted his question once more "DO YOU NOT KNOW?"

"Who are you, to talk to my future wife when I am not around, who are you to
try and get in between us?" the crown prince pressed his right hand's grip on Ayo's collar as his left lifted up to slap him, but his hand was held before he could do so, when he looked behind him Ada stood there holding onto his hand and kissed his hand.

"Don't take out the anger you have towards your father on him; it won't satisfy you." With some thought and reluctance, the crown prince looked back at Ayo and said: "She's not your way to power, she's my future wife and as much as I am sure you would love to think otherwise, she's not going anywhere with you regardless of what you or my father say, you're lucky she has the kind heart of a queen and is nothing like me." he said glaring at Ayo as Ada pulled him away.

As he watched Ada help the crown prince into their room, Ayo turned and hit the trunk of the tree displaying the anger he kept hidden while the crown prince was present. "Has she gone mad? Has she??!?" he kept asking as he was hitting the trunk of the blossom tree. After the anger in his body was satisfied he held onto the tree huffing. " Princess Ki was correct; she honestly does not know what's good for her. "

He mumbled, and he rubbed on his throat that was suddenly starting to feel tight because of the grip that was once around his collar.

As he walked away Nari, appeared from a short distance that was on the other side of the blossom tree, blocking her from Ayo's view but allowing her to hear all he said. The servant girl watched him leave and the metal tub of water she was holding fell to the ground, its noise being suffocated by the grass allowed her the gift, being that she wasn't caught.

"Princess Ki?" she asked herself as her hands shook. Words replayed in her mind of the two warnings she's received, one from the elder prince's now fiancée, and another from mother Sanghee" is this what, mother meant by her words when she said someone that would hurt the crown prince's child, is it, Princess Ki and Knight Ayo?" She said speaking to herself. She rushed to turn around forgetting about the tub of water that fell on the ground.

As she turned, she ran into someone behind her. Before she looked up, she fell on her knees prepared to apologize to someone. She looked up to see the crown prince squatting in front of her.

"I just rushed to get Princess Ada something to eat, but I couldn't find anything could you help me?" He asked with a smile.

"Prince, I'm sorry I should've watched where I was walking I didn't mean to bump—"

"Yeah yeah, you're truly sorry, and you've committed a grave sin, "the prince interrupted mocking the young woman.

"Now if you could go along and find something to make out of the vegetables you were given earlier with Ada today, I would be very grateful, I think my fear of not being with her has distracted my ability to cook." he chuckled. " Then I have a favor to ask of you once you return to the room.

Nari nodded her head as the crown prince helped her up. "This cute love tale romance they are enhancing will make me sick" She later mumbled to herself.

The crown prince walked back into the room where Ada laid staring at the ceiling. The crown prince walked over, lifted her head and placed it back down using his lap as a head rest.

"I'm sorry" he whispered as he caressed her cheeks and soothingly outlined her facial features.

"Why do you apologize at the most random times, especially when you have nothing to be sorry for, I know of your nature towards Ayo, I should have avoided him, you just did what you thought was right, and you reacted with a mix of emotions you already had."

"Not that." the crown prince said chuckling as he played with Ada's hair.

"I meant to do a lot worst to Ayo; he's in great debt towards you for saving his life. What I was referring to was my seeming of not being excited by your message of being with the child earlier I know you sensed it." he finished.

Ada stayed silent and listened as he spoke.

"I guess what it was, is the fact that my mother died, giving birth and to this day it makes me cringe and worry. That's why when you once asked me about her I didn't know what to say, I loved her, but I regret it more and more every day that I didn't spend as much time with her as I would like to know more and have more about her to say." The crown prince stopped tracing his fingers on Ada face as he stared into her eyes and continued speaking.

" Once in my youth when she took me to our hide away, though I had this ideology that the hideaway was for me, it was more for herself, the king as kind as he can be there was a point when he brought woman in and out of his chambers even while my mother was with his second child. I would have been the only other sibling aside from the twins with the same mother and father. Aside from the twins, the remainders of us have different mothers. I guess my father felt guilt for what he did to my mother and in that reasoning made me heir to the throne. The suffering he put my mother through he became cruel to my siblings, so I understand why they hated me. In fear of losing you too the same way though I was happy you were with my child I couldn't be overjoyed because my mother's hardships are the first things I think of moment after moment." The crown prince finished.

"Were you going to bring other women into your chambers while I’m with your child? Is that was you're saying?" Ada asked as her eyes slowly closed out of fatigue.

The prince looked down at her " not at all it—"

"Well, then I have nothing to worry about, stress over other than the mission to make you happy, to keep our child and me healthy. Most of all when he enters the world we will raise him together, and love him together " Ada said.

The crown prince chuckled as he rubbed Ada's arm as if he was trying to give off heat.

"There is only one for me and that's you, I wouldn't dare look at another, don't think of my father or those around us that don't want us to grow old together, we will and we will have pride along with It." the crown prince added.

"Of course we will. " Ada replied back with a toothy smile. Thinking to herself Ada replayed the words of Nari's adopted mother. She reflected back to when she said Nari's mother died of giving life to her.

"After my mother passed, many of the workers she had disappeared along with her, since then the king refuses much help." the crown prince commented.

"What ever happened to the child?" Ada asked the prince.

"From what I was told I was told by my father that the child died along with my mother, I tried for years to try and get some information on the child whether it was a girl or a guy information as such. I've heard all the answers under the sea, and none even did the wish of leading me to the actual answer I've been looking for, but I think my luck is changing." the prince said.

Before Ada could reply Nari walked in bowed with a tray of food and set it on the table in the corner of the room then bowed again towards the Crown Prince.

"Prince you said you'd like to ask me something after I returned, May I ask what it is?" she asked with her head hung low.

"Yes that's right, you work in the primary servant's quarters don't you?"

Nari nodded her head. "Are you familiar with most of the staff in the palace?"

Nari nodded again. "There is someone within our staff that I believe has a close relationship with the king if you could, you should use your connections to try and find who it is, if I were to ask them about it people would suspect that I am up to something." The Prince said satisfied with himself.

"What kind of relationship, Prince, so I know who I should be looking for many of the maidens flirt with the king, but if you could—." Nari started.

"I believe that the person may be the king's child. " the crown prince said comfortably.

Nari looked at the crown prince, observing his gestures she watched as he played with Ada's hands rubbing it benevolently.

"It is precious to me to find the person, whoever it is; were to be found, that would help me in my selfish way." The prince chuckled pitifully.

"Why is there importance if it's the king's child, only a half-sibling it's not as if for you, it is the threat to power." she said with curiosity in her voice.

"They'd be the only full blood sibling I ha
ve in this place of discomfort, after all, I've longed for a close relationship with another I would see as family, I feel the siblings you have are the most important out of all the family you will ever have before you create your own and even after, they are still important."

"Why is that?" Nari asked hoping to herself that the Prince wouldn't take her questioning as disrespect.

" After all, as much as you adore your parents it doesn't take away from the fact that they are only part of you, only half of you is made up of a mother and half of you is made up of your father." the prince sighed and looked into deep thought and then continued, " What I'm saying is, though anyone would love their parents, the only sibling are created of the same halves, therefore in a very obscure way, somehow siblings are one another. " the prince chuckled a bit and looked at Nari, " I'm pitiful aren't I ?" He asked looking down. " It would be a crime to anyone who would here that I became so emotional in front of a servant." The crown prince mumbled to himself as he thought about what they would say.

" But.. prince, I still...are you saying that the person you want to find is your sister?" Nari asked with disbelief in her voice.

"I assume you could say so..." the prince stared at Nari as she spoke. " But Nari, I never once expressed whether it was a female or a male what makes you say, sister? Is there something you know of the situation?"

Nari placed up her hands in defense and shook her head. " no, no not at all your highness, I probably only assumed so because of course, I am a female myself I believe I made it personal to better understand what's at stake" Nari bowed and turned about to leave." Never would I assume that we are on the same level Prince I often do this to better understand those around me." She quickly said her words and disappeared.

"Nari!" Ada called out loosening the grip on the prince and walking towards Nari. "May I speak to you in private?" Nari turned back around and looked to Ada and bowed again "Your majesty, I just—" Nari started.
