“I like you a lot as well, Ianto!” he said, at last.

  Chapter 10

“Do you have a boyfriend, Lucy?” I asked her, while changing the channels on the TV one day. I was lying lazily on the couch while Lucy was sweeping the living room's floor.

“No. I haven’t found someone worth it yet. Why are you asking me, though?”

“I don’t know. I’m feeling a bit weird about something that happened with me this week,” I told her, remembering what Eric had said after I had confessed to him.

“What happened? Now you will have to tell me!” Lucy demanded, already putting the broom aside. She ran to the couch and sat by my side, completely interested.

“I’m not sure if I should tell you.”

“Come on, kiddo! I give great advices!”

I didn’t want Lucy to meddle into my issues, but I was feeling really bad. I hadn’t even been able hold my tears in the last couple of nights. I had believed that we were both in the same page, but knowing that Eric liked me very much while I was in love with him was painful. I took a deep breath before telling her what had happened.

“I told Eric that I love him.”

“Really? What did he say?” she asked me, curious.

“Nothing. He simply left the bedroom without uttering a single word.”

“Geez, that’s horrible! I would have punched him in the face for him to learn not to be so insensitive. Maybe he need a little while to be able to open up to you. Saying I love you is much harder than saying Suck me, for instance.”

“Exactly, that’s the point. At first, I thought just like you, except for the last part. However, in the end of the night, he said that he liked me a lot,” I told her.

“Ouch! That hurt even in me.”

“I don’t know what to do. I thought he loved me too! He is acting so affectionate and attentive with me recently!”

“Apart from the fact that he keeps you locked in an empty bedroom so I won't see you,” she pointed out.

“He has his reasons for that,” I defended him.

“I don’t think so, Ianto. If he really didn’t want me to find out about you guys, he could just allow you to go somewhere else while I’m here cleaning the house.”

Lucy couldn’t get the situation. I couldn’t leave the house and I was still kept locked even in the days when she wasn’t there to clean.

“That’s not what I wanted to talk about,” I said, trying to change the subject. “What should I do to make Eric to love me too?”

“Ianto, that’s not how things work. He has to love you just the way you are. You can’t believe that you can buy his love with, I don’t know, more sex.”

I got silent. It was ironical the way that conversation was going.

“How did you meet Eric?” Lucy asked me, trying to get back to the subject.

“Well… It was…” I stuttered. Nothing came to mind so I just shut my mouth. Lucy looked at me with mistrust.

“Don’t tell me that this is also something you can’t tell me!”

  “I’m sorry.”

“How can I help you if you can’t even be honest with me?”

“You won’t wanna know the truth, believe me.”

  “Of course I will!”

I tried to tell her the truth, but the words just wouldn’t come from my mouth. I wished I could share with her the mess I was in, but Eric wouldn’t be pleased if he found out. Also, I had no idea how Lucy would react.

“Ianto, trust me. I thought we were friends already!”

  “We are, but…”

“I would never do anything to harm you. You can trust me!”

“Fine! But just promise me you will never tell anyone.”

  “Sure,” she agreed promptly.

I didn’t know if that was the right thing to do, but I definitely needed someone to talk to, besides Eric. Maybe Lucy could help me through all that. As I was telling her how I ended up there, she looked more and more shocked. She didn’t even interrupt me at all.

“That’s horrible!” she said, as soon as I finished.

“It is, indeed, to a certain extent. However, if Eric hadn’t bought me, I would be dead.”

“Even so. He is keeping you prisoner, Ianto!”

“I can’t go outside. No one can recognize me in the streets. I have already been pronounced dead.”

“You can change your ID and leave the town.”

“Eric wouldn’t manage to do it; he manages his companies from here.”

  “You can, nonetheless.”

“I have to stay with Eric. He is my owner.”

“No, Ianto. You belong to yourself. Eric thinks he is your owner, but you can’t allow this! You are a human being, not a pet. If you want, I can help you escaping,” offered Lucy, serious.

“Of course not, are you nuts? Eric can track me, paralyze me or even kill me if he wants to, with just a click. It doesn't matter where I am. That is why I have to stay here.”

Lucy left the couch and started walking from one side to the other, impatient, while thinking.

“That’s definitely not right,” she remarked, a hand on her chin.

“Of course not, but that’s how things are for me right now. And even if I could escape, I don’t know if I would. I love him, Lucy.”

“That’s unbelievable! He buys you, treats you like a property and keeps you locked inside an apartment with no contact with the world outside or even your own family. How can you love him?” she asked, facing me.

“I don’t know I just do. It could be worse. In the end, if it was not for him, anyone else could have bought me and things could be much worse. Eric at least treats me with affection!”

“Maybe he is just doing it for his own good. After all, if he gets along with you, he will have everything he wishes without much trouble. He is manipulating you, that’s why you are in love with him.”

“Stop saying this! He has no reason to do so, he could just force himself on me, but he chose to try to be happy with me.”

“And why isn’t he making you happy? He’s got money, Ianto. If he wanted, he would find a way for you to see your family or even to walk freely on the streets. He wants you under his control. That’s why he is kind. He is nothing but a manipulator!”

“I had enough of this discussion! It wasn’t a good idea to tell you the truth,” I said, feeling my head aching. I should have expected Lucy not to understand me.

“Of course it was, because now I’m going to do whatever I can to get you out of here! I can’t even believe that I’m working for someone who is involved with this kind of thing.”

  “Eric is a good person!”

“All right. I won’t discuss this anymore. I will try to think of a way to take you out of here.”

“You promised me you wouldn’t tell anyone about this!”

“I won’t, I swear. I also swear that I’m going to take you away from here.”

“I don’t want to, Lucy! I have nowhere else to go. I’d better try to live peacefully with Eric.”

“Have you ever wondered what will happen when he gets tired of you one day? What if he wants to dispose of you like an object? He would hardly allow you to go back to the world outside without being sure that you won’t tell anyone about this. That would destroy his reputation!”

“He won’t get tired of me…” I said, trying to hold my tears. That question had already came to my mind a few times, but I always avoided considering it.

“There’s no way to talk to you when you act like this, Ianto. It’s like you don’t want to be helped.”

  “And I don’t!” I affirmed.

“Then, why did you tell me?”

“All I wanted was to talk to someone. I have already accepted that this is my life. I just needed someone who could understand me,” I replied.

“Right now I’m dying to slap you, to wake you to life, but fine. I’ll respect your wishes for now. However, nothing will take off my mind the idea of making a plan to get you
out of here, if necessary,” Lucy sat beside me again, taking a deep breath.

“Thanks for worrying about me,” I said.

  “We are friends, aren’t we?”

“Yes,” I answered, smiling at her, feeling calmer. She squeezed my hand.

“Is there anything you need from me, now that I know the truth?”

“Now that you’re asking, could you do something for me? Something really important? Eric has helped my parents financially, for I was very worried about them. Could you check on them for me, see if my mom is better now?” I asked her.

“Of course! Give me their address and on Monday I will tell you how they are doing,” offered Lucy.

  “But if you tell them…”

  “Of course I won’t tell. Don’t worry.”

I searched for paper and pen and, as soon as I found it, I wrote my family’s address and handed it to her.

“I can’t thank you enough for this.”

“I’ve told you already: there’s no need to thank me. Now, let me finish cleaning this apartment, I don’t wanna be fired before having the chance to help you.”

I helped Lucy to finish the cleaning for I was feeling quite restless. It was a good thing that she could understand that I would rather stay there for the moment. I couldn’t go back home, after all, my parents believed that I was dead. Also, if any neighbor happened to see me, they could accuse my parents of hiding me.

Apparently, there was no way to get away from that situation.

When Eric opened my bedroom’s door, I didn’t run to his arms as usual and he realized that there was something wrong. All that conversation with Lucy made me wonder a lot about our relationship. How much faith did I have in the way I thought about us? Eric had said that he wanted to be happy with me, that he wanted someone to love him. Nonetheless, when I confessed my feelings, all I received back was his I like you a lot.

“Hey, are you alright?” he asked, coming closer to where I was lying on the bed.

  “I’m not sure.”

“What happened?” he inquired, sitting on the floor quite close to me.

I sat as well, turning to Eric and looking into his eyes.

  “Do you love me?”

“What do you mean? Why are you asking me this?” he questioned me, surprised.

“I want you to tell me the truth, because I was certainly honest with you.

  “Just as I was.”

“No! You told me that you liked me and that’s not the same as loving,” I pointed out, feeling the tears coming to my eyes.

“Stop this, Ianto! We live together; we’ve slept together several times. We don’t need to put a name on what we have,” he said, wiping my tears.

“Yes, we do. You told me you wanted to be loved, but when you finally accomplished it you didn’t even say that you loved me as well.”

“I don’t know, Ianto. I’m not sure!” Eric yelled, standing up and breathing deeply.

“Why not?” I asked, standing up as well, facing him again.

“I don’t know. Our relationship is strange. Every time I touch you I wonder if you are letting me do so because that is what you want to or because you feel obliged to.”

“That’s not how it is. I love you! For real, Eric!”

“It’s great to hear that because, when you said you loved me, I felt really happy. I wanted to hear that more than anything! I just couldn’t say it back, though. The words wouldn’t come out!”

“Maybe you just don’t love me.”

“Quite the opposite; I couldn’t say it because I was afraid. I was afraid that, if I told you so, everything would go wrong and our relationship would fall apart. I was afraid of this to end because, for the first time in a long time, I am able to really love someone. Something that I never believed I would feel once again.”

“Really?” I asked, looking straight into his eyes.

“Really, Ianto. I love you too!”

I just hugged him tight. Even with the tears running down my face, a huge smile adorned my face. What we were living was actually true!

  Chapter 11

Each passing day I became more and more in love with Eric. I never imagined that a feeling like that could reach such a proportion. The fact was that I could no longer imagine my life without him. My happiness relied completely on Eric Pitz.

Every day, when he left for work, I felt as if an important part of me had been ripped from me by force and both my mind and my body yelled to have it back as soon as possible. It was as if I was suffering from withdrawal syndrome, in which my addiction was Eric.

I woke up missing him by my side; after all, we had slept together. He had left for work without waking me up or even locking me in my bedroom. I now had a television, which he had installed in the previous night so that I wouldn’t get bothered while waiting for him to return.

I got up from bed and went to his bathroom, which was huge and well decorated. After a series of sex sessions under the shower, I felt more comfortable to use it without worrying about Eric’s reaction.

I was wearing nothing but my briefs and a long sleeved shirt, both of them white, of course.

After peeing, in order to get rid of a morning erection, I brushed my teeth with an additional toothbrush that Eric let there for me and washed my face. I went downstairs and, as soon as I got to the last step, I could already smell the delicious scent of toast invading my nostrils.

“So here is where you were hiding,” I remarked, when I got to the kitchen and caught him finishing preparing our breakfast.

“You’ve ruined my surprise! I was about to serve you breakfast in bed,” he said, and then started setting the table so we could eat in there. When he finished, he came to me and hugged me tight.

He was wearing only his blue boxers. When I felt his half-hard penis touching my belly, since Eric was considerably taller than I was, I felt my own dick hardening instantly. It was amazing how easily our bodies would get excited just for being near each other.

“I’m sorry for ruining your surprise. I’ve missed you,” I said.

“I can see,” Eric stated, feeling the volume under my briefs. He bit his lower lip.

“Stop, you naughty! Let’s have breakfast first!” I said, laughing.

“So you are already trying to boss me around. Is it right?” he joked.

  “No,” I answered, grinning.

“I do hope not, for you belong to me. So, I’m the boss in here!” Eric said, holding me up and sitting me on the table.

“What are you going to do?” “Shut up!” he ordered and pulled down my briefs, releasing my penis that was hard as a rock.

“I want a different kind of milk for breakfast,” said Eric and started sucking me fierce and heartily. I moaned loud every time he engulfed me whole after taking it all off his mouth, in that delicious coming and forth.

After a few minutes, I came with a spasm, coming in his warm and wet mouth and letting out a loud and intense moan of pleasure. Eric licked my gland and the length until he made sure of having taken each drop of my sperm, before smiling satisfied with his victory.

“That’s what I was talking about!” he stated and kissed my mouth. I felt my own salty taste in his tongue. “Now we can eat,” he said, after leaving my lips.

After wearing my briefs, I sat beside him. I started eating my toast with the orange juice he had bought.

“What time is it? Aren’t you late for work?” I asked between bites.

“I don’t work today. It’s Sunday,” he answered.

  “Oh, right!” I said, embarrassed.

“At least today we can spend the whole day together,” he squeezed my shoulder tenderly. I smiled at him.

  “Sure! That’s great!”

“Paulo wanted to come here, but I lied to him, saying I wanted to rest.”

“I liked him. He seems cool,” Eric looked at me oddly.

“He wanted to buy you. I don’t like to see you two too close.”

  “I would never
have anything with him! I love you and I’m happy that you are the one who bought me!” I said quickly, trying to prevent him from thinking badly of us. In fact, Paulo was gorgeous. However, I could not picture myself with no one else but Eric.

“I’m glad to hear that.” He stopped, thoughtful. “Maybe I’m overreacting by thinking that he would try to make a move on you.”

“I do think so. You guys know each other so well; you have been friends for ages!”

“You’re right. Maybe we can call him and ask him to join us in the afternoon.”

“What are we going to do?” I asked.

“You said you didn’t want to get fat, right? Let’s work out in the penthouse.”

“Yay!” I rejoiced, excited. What I really wanted was to feel the wind and the sun against my skin once again. It would be great!

After we finished our breakfast, we went to take a bath separately. While the water was running down my body, I noticed there were a few hairs growing back in my body. I had no idea what kind of method they had used to take them off, but now I had to start shaving to stay with a skin as hairless as Eric liked. Just as I did with the beard, which I had to shave almost every day for there was always a little hair insisting to come out. My hair would also need a touch up soon and I was already wondering how we would do that. After all, I wasn’t allowed to leave the apartment and I wasn’t sure if Eric would enjoy its natural color.

After I finished the bath, I got dressed in shorts and a tank top. Do I have to say they were both white? I don’t think so. At that moment, wearing a suit didn’t seem a bad idea at all.

We talked all morning, cuddling while watching a documentary about the crisis that Alendor had been facing recently. Eric told me his companies had been exporting more and more each day and even to new countries.

We ate the pizza he had asked by phone, at lunch. Which wasn’t a very intelligent choice, once we were going to work out after all! I made no complains, however, for I really loved pizza.

When we started getting sleepy after lunch, the intercom rang. Eric stood up and realized it was Paulo, so he unlocked the gate for him to enter. A few minutes later, he was already knocking on the door. As soon as we opened the door and he saw us both welcoming him, he opened a huge smile. He seemed excited.
