“You’re playing with a dangerous beast, Sera. I need control.” He gritted his teeth as he spoke.

She tightened her grip around him, and he thrust against the friction, one hand shooting down to grasp hers. His low groan was like erotic fingertips brushing over her clit.

“Ze, I love you. I trust you. I want you to lose yourself in me as deeply as I lose myself in you.”

His silver eyes shimmered, flickering like flame, as the bond they had forged hummed between them. She felt his mind hovering on the edge of hers. He thought she was everything that he ever craved. She knew he was everything she’d ever dreamed of having.

Pushing his sweats down, Ze breathed against the column of her throat as Sera guided the swollen head of his cock to her pulsing entrance. He wasted no time sliding in deep and hard, at the same time sinking his teeth over the bite on her throat. Her body exploded the second his wide girth settled deep within her. Oh God, how could anyone survive such pleasure? Whimpering under him, she felt his hands moving to her wrists, pinning her against the mattress.

“Again, Sera. You are mine. Mine only.”

With his words still echoing in her mind, he renewed his thrusts, his pace gathering speed. He entwined their hands, keeping her pinned, and her back arched for his onslaught. He invaded everything—her soul, her heart, and her body. Her lips found his in a kiss that bordered on desperate.

Sera knew he was close, his thrusts sending hard shocks deep into her, robbing her of thought. All that mattered was him. He thrust against her womb, and with his name a cry on her lips, she came around him again, writhing and pulsing, pulling him into the intense abyss with her. His roar shook the RV, and he flung his head back as he spilled his seed deep within her. The pair of them collapsed, panting and sweat-slicked. Neither of them were going to be moving for a while.

Slowly consciousness returned to Sera’s sex-addled brain. Bless the man, he had rolled from her before collapsing. Her body ached in all the right places, and a low hum of energy trickled through her veins. She ran her fingers through his silver hair and met his intense gaze, then with a smile, she twisted, so her body half covered his.

“So, about this moving in thing? I might need convincing.” She laughed as he spluttered and looked up at her in pretend shock.

“By Hades, woman, you’re going to kill me.” She felt his fingers thread into her hair and bring her mouth to his for a languid, body-melting kiss, which left her breathless and hot all over again. “If my woman demands more ‘convincing,’ I shall, of course, focus all my attention and immense talent to complete this task.”

His cock was already swollen and hard at the prospect of being within her again. He flipped her around and slid his cock between her ass cheeks. Her body writhed under him and a sobbed moan escaped from her throat.

He whispered beside her ear, the low tone making her whimper, “Remember, my love, when I find something I crave, nothing will stop me from claiming it. Just as I knew when I found you, you would be mine.”

Sera finished unpacking the final box of deliveries, courtesy of Lucifer and the rest of the Sins. All of them had chipped in, including Odin and Persephone, to provide the newly finished home with furniture, plates, utensils, sheets, towels. Everything needed to live comfortably. They had even constructed a new greenhouse.

The house was twice the size of her old farmhouse, way too big for just her and Ze. So, with him glaring the whole time, she offered up residency to any of his brothers, and to Odin should they need it. No way was she going to leave the poor god to live alone somewhere. Besides, she considered him more like a father. He had gracefully accepted and informed Ze that if he ever harmed her, he still had that giant wolf of his, Fenrir, hidden away.

“Hey, get out of the computer room, you decrepit fossil! You’re a menace when it comes to electronics!”

“You need to show more respect. I’ll have you know, boy, that I’m really quite good…why is it smoking? Should it be smoking like this?”

“Put it down, you crazy old coot!”

Ah! The sound of adult children arguing echoing through the house and she’d never been happier. Sera shook her head and looked out over her new backyard. As good as his word, Lucifer had found her a place that backed onto a forest, and it was fully warded against angels. She felt safe for the first time since this whole batch of crazy began. She’d changed from a recluse who hid away from the world, to a housemother for demons and a powerless god. Seemed that the Fates had intervened just in time. Sera was sure that if the Sin of Envy had not swooped into her life, she might never have allowed herself back into the world.

“Are they fighting again?” She came ‘face-to-face’ with the shimmering incorporeal mist of Asmodeus. She had started calling him Deus since Asmodeus was too long and Deus seemed to suit him.

The Sin of Lust had asked, almost sheepishly, if he might stay with them a while—plus it got him out of the city. The further away from people he was, the less he was forced to take new forms. Again, Ze had glared daggers at the thought of yet another person living in their home, but Sera opened her arms and home to her new brother.

“I’m pretty sure those two will never stop fighting. But I secretly think they enjoy each other’s company.” Her voice held a smile, and she could have sworn for a second she saw the form of a body within the mist.

“Homicidally, you mean?” The mist actually undulated with a wince as the two irate voices started up again.

“Just put it down, Grandpa! Stop touching everything!” Ze’s voice was filled with desperation, Sera chuckled.

“I’m not touching everything. I know what I’m doing! Oh, err, it appears to be faulty.”

“Faulty? Faulty! Out, get out! Senile bastard.”

  “I am Odin All-Father. If I say it’s faulty, boy, it’s faulty.”

“Sera!” Ze’s voice roared down the hallway. Then the tell-tale beep, beep, beep of the smoke detector sounded. “That’s it, old man! It’s on!”

Best go save her male from getting his butt kicked. Odin, old as he may be, was still a god. The sound of the smoke detector going off had Ze whimpering over his poor computers. Sera laughed her way down the hall toward the chaos. Yep, she couldn’t be happier.

The restaurant was stifling to him. Too many fucking people, too many scents and sounds that disgusted him. His head pounded behind his eyes, and he growled something low at a waiter as he passed. He needed to drink just to be around most humans. It was infuriating and made him want to rage and kill, but he was here for a reason. She was coming—the Seer of Dreams.

He had been watching her for a while, having decided that since all previous capture attempts had failed, he was going to try a different approach with this one. So online dating it was. Fucking slow process. Now he understood a little better why people had become so closed-off and broken. Once, the world had been pure, people had looked to the higher powers for guidance. Now they used Goggle. It was abhorrent to him.

He felt her enter the restaurant. The very air seemed to clear of all malice and negativity, all but his. Closing his eyes for a second, he breathed in her aura of power, hiding his true nature down deep in his shell. She must not suspect a thing. She would be his before the night was done. He ran his hands through his hair, then smoothed the front of his suit. The turtleneck sweater he wore covered the healing scars on his throat. He plastered on the façade of perfection and gentlemanly kindness. Despite the pain that still plagued him from the recent battles, he would soon possess the woman he needed.

He found himself a little dumbstruck by her at first. Her eyes, sunset orange, looked nervously around the room. For a second something stirred in his gut, something he had long believed dead. Fuck, he would have to deal with that later. Her black hair was swept up into a neat bun on her head. Her eyes finally met his, and as she smiled, that annoying feeling arced through him again. He would need to deal with this issue sooner than he expected it seemed, but first…

  “
Evelynn Sinclair?” He faked a tremor to his voice and pretended to nervously study his feet.

The Seer smiled and walked toward him, right into his perfect little trap. She was a pretty little thing, her scent sweet on his tongue. Oh, he was going to enjoy this one! God, she smelled good. Maybe he would have more fun with this female than just locking her up.

“That’s me. Please, call me Eviee. Wow, your eyes really are copper. I thought it was a trick of the light in the photo. Amazing.” Her voice sounded like raindrops on leaves. Maybe he would have a use for her after she completed her task. She intrigued him—immensely.

“Thank you.” He bowed over her hand, bringing it to his lips. He watched her eyes focus on him, a soft blush coloring her cheeks. Those soft lips tempted him. His copper eyes met her gaze, and he grinned.

“Pleased to finally meet you, Eviee. I’m Michael.”
