“This time… but Garrett thought you were shopping.”
“Oh, right.”
“I’m sure he figured it out, you hate to shop,” Chevalier told her, and then kissed her lightly. “Garrett and Alexis are working things out. The lawyer gave her some doubts about getting a mortal baby, and Garrett has been given some time away from the Cavalry to try to help her cope.”
She sighed, “Even if she decides that for now she doesn’t want a baby, the desire will come back.”
“Yes it will. So Lori’s helping them,” Chevalier said. “You’re off the hook. No Valle attacks, no Encala rescues, the Ferus are gone, and your daughter is grown up and can lean on her husband more. We’ve been working with Megara and I honestly don’t think she inherited any Winchester abilities.”
“Well now what am I going to do?” Emily asked, a small twinkle returning to her eyes.
“I’m almost afraid to find out.”
