The Adventures of Jellybean

Page 8

by Dianne Bates

‘You mean,’ said Mum, ‘you’re going to take it?’

‘Of course. How could I refuse such a wonderful offer?’ Sally took Luna’s hand. ‘I’d adore a goat!’

So at last all of Jellybean’s family had good homes, and good names too: Popoff, Billy and Happy.

‘I called her Happy because that’s how she makes me feel,’ Sally said.

Rory and Trang were happy, too. But Jellybean was the happiest of all.

  Maa!

Thank you to our writing buddy Chris McTrustry, whose good advice has been almost as valuable as his threats of dire consequences if we didn’t reach our word target each week. And also a big thank you to the many kind and talented people who have helped with this book, especially Kristina Schulz, Cathy Vallance, Mark Macleod and Lucia Masciullo.
