Life should be good, right? You’d think so. But I’m still struggling with the loss of Stumpy. He left his cabin to Dad, and Dad said we could all use it as a getaway, so that’s what I’m going to do. I’ve taken a leave of absence from the SPD, packed up a bunch of books and my laptop, and I’m headed out to the cabin for a couple of weeks. I’ve managed to dump all of my boy toys over the past month, except Timon, who won’t leave, but is willing to give me some space. I appreciate that more than I care to admit, and no, I’m not telling him.
Some things, a girl has to figure out for herself.
