Infidelity: Devoted (Kindle Worlds Novella) Page 7

by A. D. Ellis

Kyle had had a blast dressing us for the show. We hadn’t brought dressy clothes, so we had to find a shop for some new duds. We may have also had some sexy fun in the dressing room.

“I’ll need to see you completely naked in order to be sure of the canvas I’m working with here,” Kyle teased as we stepped into the dressing room with our clothing options.

“Oh, really?” I grabbed him by the waist and pressed him hard against the locked door. “You’ve forgotten my canvas in such a short time?”

Kyle laughed breathlessly as I trailed kisses down his neck before capturing his mouth. The kiss deepened as my heart stuttered. Groaning against Kyle’s lips, I rocked my hips against his. “You do this to me. One kiss in a clothing store dressing room, and I’m ready to ravish you. I love you so damn much,” I mumbled before pulling his mouth back for another kiss.

“Mmm, I love you, too,” Kyle whispered. “Now, strip.”

“Damn, you’re a bossy man.” I laughed, and began to remove my clothing. “I think we should probably do this process together.”

“Agreed,” Kyle spoke, his eyes on fire as he began to undress.

“No touching, we can’t risk marring the canvas,” I warned. Even as I spoke the words, I knew I was going to hate making the no touching rule.

With no hands allowed to roam, Kyle and I stripped down to only our socks. The underwear likely didn’t need to be taken off, but by the time we reached that point, we were too turned on to care about specifics. Skin flushed, chests heaved with labored breath, eyes burned with desire as we faced each other. Kyle’s beautiful cock jutted proudly from his lithe body, the sight of him making my own aching length bob involuntarily.

Forgetting the aforementioned rule, I reached for Kyle, wanting nothing more than to grind my cock against his.

“Uh-uh, you made the rule. You can look, but no touching,” Kyle tutted.

“Damn, baby. My bad. Please?” I begged.

“Nope.” Kyle popped the P. “Now, let me dress you.”

I knew he’d be a tease. Kyle dropped to his knees, ghosting his lips along my skin as he reached for my underwear. Once he’d pulled them up and over my raging cock, Kyle nestled his nose against the fabric, mouthing my length with his hot, wet mouth.

Unwilling to withstand the torture any longer, I jerked him up from his knees, fisted his cock, and pressed him against the door. “Play time’s over. Grab the clothes you like best, we’re going home.”

Kyle whimpered as I stroked his length while plunging my tongue deep into his mouth. “But, I…,” Kyle started.

“You know what sizes we wear, and you know what looks best. Grab the outfits, and let’s go.” I gave him no time to protest. But, from the heaviness of his throbbing cock in my hand, I knew he didn’t really have any protests.

Dressing in record time, each of us wincing as we shoved our dicks back behind zippers, we kept the evidence hidden behind jackets as we paid for the clothing.

All but running back to the apartment, we were breathless by the time we dropped our bags, and sprinted to the bedroom. Naked again in seconds, we fell onto the bed.

“You’re a little tease, you know that?” I trapped Kyle’s arms above his head, kissing him hard.

“Mmhm,” Kyle quipped. “Whatcha going to do about it?”

“Suck you and fuck you until you’re begging me to let you come,” I growled against his ear before moving down to take his weeping cock in my mouth. Fondling his balls as I swallowed his thick head, I hummed, knowing the vibration would drive him insane.

Teasing his lips with two fingers, I let him swirl his wet tongue over and around my digits before bringing them to his ass. Never taking my mouth from his dick, I slicked a finger over his hole. Deep satisfaction filled me when Kyle trembled and bucked his cock down my throat.

“Please,” Kyle panted. “Need you. Now.”

Ignoring his pleas, I entered him with first one, then a second finger as I swirled my tongue around his throbbing head. When my own balls drew tight, I ditched the foreplay and reached for the lube. Slicking myself, I taunted Kyle’s ass with the tip of my rock hard cock.

“Please, baby, fuck me.” Kyle begged.

“Oh, I’m going to fuck you,” I gritted out as I slid into his hot ass.

Kyle’s keening cries filled my ears as his body yielded to my invasion. I reached down to grip his cock, stroking him slowly as my cock pumped into him hard and fast.

“Don’t come yet. You don’t get to come until I say, you little tease,” I ground out, willing myself to stop the orgasm already preparing to roar through me.

“Can’t stop it, babe, you’re too good,” Kyle moaned, pulling his legs up high, allowing my thrusts to enter him deeply. Kyle yelped when I hit his prostate, crying out as the electric sensation zinged through him.

Leaning over him, trapping both knees by his ears while his legs dangled over my shoulders, I grabbed his face in my hands and kissed him. Devouring his mouth as my cock owned his ass, I slowed momentarily to whisper, “I love you, Ky. Come for me.”

Sensations took over. My tongue tasted him, my cock throbbed, and I reveled in the hot spurt of his release between us. With a final thrust, I spilled inside his body as I gathered him in my arms and held him close. Kissing him, I felt my tears mingle with his. Pulling back, I voiced my concern, “You okay?”

“I’m perfect. You’re perfect. That was amazing.” Kyle sniffed, and pulled me back for a soul-searing kiss.

We slept in each other’s arms until the very last moment.

“Wake up, baby. We’ve got a Broadway show to see,” Kyle whispered in my ear.

  ~*~*~*~

The show was amazing. Kyle and I definitely planned to take advantage of more stage productions back home in Indy.

All too soon, we were tidying up the apartment, leaving a thank-you note, and placing the key on the table as Lennox had instructed. The cab ride to the airport was quiet, Kyle and I holding each other in comfortable silence as we said goodbye to the city. Many memories had been made in New York, and I was blessed to have the man I loved willing to spend the rest of his life making those memories.

“There they are.” Kyle smiled and pointed at Braeton and Drew. Braeton’s sign, weighted down with glitter of course, screamed, “We support hot husbands!”

Rolling my eyes, not able to stifle the laughter, I pulled Kyle close as we walked toward our friends.

“Welcome home!” Braeton sang, pulling us into hugs.

“Thanks, glad to be back,” I said.

“Really? Brae was worried you guys would decide you like New York and want to stay.” Drew slapped me on the back.

“Nah, it was great, but I think we both like the slightly slower, less crowded life we have here.” Kyle shouldered his bag, and the four of us headed toward the exit.

A moment or two later, the parking lot shuttle pulled up and we piled on. In less than forty-five minutes, Braeton and Drew were dropping us at home, and exhaustion was beginning to set in.

“Coffee in the morning?” Drew asked.

“They probably don’t want to worry about meeting us for coffee. We’ll just see them at the reception,” Braeton cut in.

Drew glared at Braeton, but Braeton smiled brightly. “Meet at the reception?”

“What are you up to?” I asked Braeton.

“Up to?” Braeton’s voice rose an octave. “We aren’t up to anything.”

“Yeah, we aren’t up to anything,” Drew agreed.

  Braeton elbowed Drew.

“Coffee sounds good, want to do ten tomorrow?” Kyle ended the weird exchange.

“Ten works. See you then.” Drew nodded.

Kyle and I stood frozen for a moment. “Something’s up,” I murmured.

  “Yep,” Kyle agreed.

  “But, what?”

“Who knows?” Kyle yawned. “I need sleep. We can worry about Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb tomorrow.”

I slung an arm around K
yle’s shoulders, chuckling as I nuzzled his ear. “That’s not nice.”

“I’m not feeling very nice right now. I’m tired. I need a shower to wash off the travel muck. I don’t have time to wonder what those two are up to.” Kyle groused as we dropped our bags and immediately headed to shower. “Shower, bed, sleep for twelve hours, then we can sleuth it out.”

“Which one is Dee and which is Dumb?” I teased as we waited for the water to warm.

“I don’t have to answer that. And, I’ll deny with every breath in me if you ever tell them I called them that,” Kyle said.

“Okay, okay.” I held up my hands in surrender.

By the time we headed to bed, I had almost forgotten about Braeton and Drew acting weird. Almost.

  ~*~*~*~

“Mmmm,” Kyle breathed into my neck as he rocked his cock against my ass. Roaming a hand down my chest, Kyle groaned when his hand met my hard length. “Let’s skip coffee and spend every extra minute in bed.”

“As tempting as that sounds…” I gasped as Kyle’s fist tightened around my dick, “…and it’s definitely tempting, I think we need to meet with the guys and get ourselves ready for the party.”

Kyle moaned. “Fine, but we’re not getting out of this bed until we’ve both started the morning right.”

I chuckled, slowly rolling my hips back to tease against his cock. “Pretty sure waking up like this means the morning has started off just right.”

“Nope, I can make it better,” Kyle teased, nibbling at my earlobe while he pumped a fist up and down my shaft. Nudging his dick between my legs, Kyle rocked into me until he hit my balls. Between the grip of his fist on my cock, and the rhythm of his cock against my balls, I had no illusions of lasting more than a few moments. I shuddered and came in Kyle’s hand, and the answering thrust and wetness against my balls sent deep satisfaction through me.

Several minutes later, I began to stir. “We need to get cleaned up.”

“Let’s stay here and I’ll lick you clean,” Kyle murmured.

“Feisty this morning, huh?” I teased. “That offer is equal parts hot and disturbing, but I’m going to pass for now.” Reaching an arm behind me, I smacked Kyle’s ass. “Come on, get up.”

“I was up. Now I’m relaxed and sleepy,” Kyle whined.

“Too bad,” I answered, rolling from the bed.

Kyle groused and complained, but he eventually got out of bed. “Fine. But, I’m getting the biggest, sweetest coffee they have. And a disgustingly ooey, gooey cinnamon roll.”

“Deal.” I smiled as we washed the lingering remnants of sex from our bodies.

  ~*~*~*~

“Why are you so fidgety?” I eyed Braeton with suspicion.

Braeton didn’t answer, but Drew glared until Braeton finally cleared his throat.

“Brae has something he needs to tell you,” Drew nodded at Braeton.

With a huff, Braeton mumbled, “I may have invited a few extra people to your reception.”

Kyle and I looked at each other, confused.

“That’s it? That’s why you’ve been acting so weird?” Kyle asked.

“I mean, we didn’t have tons of room on the guest list, but a few extras won’t be a problem.” I stated.

“See? No worries,” Braeton smiled in triumphant.

“Tell them who you invited.” Drew almost growled.

Braeton chewed on his lip for several moments before speaking. “Fine. Just know I meant no harm.”

Kyle and I watched Braeton with wariness. Finally, I raised a brow. “Just spit it out.”

“Iinvitedsomeofyourfamily.” Braeton’s words rushed out in one breath.

“Come again?” Kyle asked, his hand reaching for and gripping mine.

Braeton took a deep breath and looked sincerely remorseful. “I invited your parents.” He nodded at me. “And, I reached out to your brother.” Braeton winced as he looked at Kyle.

Kyle’s grip crushed my hand. “You did what?” His words were shocked, fearful, and angry as he gritted them between his teeth.

“I’m sorry.” Braeton hung his head. “I should have known better, but I thought it would be so great if you all could reconcile.”

Running a hand over my face, I tried to calm myself. “Correct me if I’m wrong, but you would have gone ape shit ballistic if anyone had taken it upon themselves to invite your family to see you without your permission.” I wasn’t asking a question, I knew what I said was a fact.

“Yeah, I would have.” Braeton sighed.

“So, what made you think it was okay to invite our families without our permission? And to our wedding reception no less.” My voice started to rise, but Kyle’s squeeze reminded me to reel myself in. “This is supposed to be a party with our supportive friends and family. Not an episode of reality television where the estranged bigoted family members show up and crash the celebration.”

I glanced at Kyle, afraid of how the announcement had affected him. His face was pale and he looked panicked. “Damn it, Brae.” His voice held beginnings of anger. Taking a deep breath, Kyle closed his eyes as if trying to gather his thoughts. “Really wish you hadn’t done that.”

“I know, I’m so sorry. I don’t know what I was thinking,” Braeton whispered softly, pain etched on his face.

“No, no. It’s okay. You weren’t trying to hurt us, your heart was in the right place.” Kyle shook his head, shocking the shit out of me. I hadn’t expected him to deal so well with the realization his brother was likely heading to Indianapolis. “We will greet them with gracious smiles. If they want to be part of our lives, we will welcome that. If not, we will wish them farewell, and continue our celebration with our true family and friends.”

Braeton, Drew, and I all stared in awe at Kyle.

“Babe, are you sure about this?” I rubbed a hand along his arm.

“Yes. Maybe things can be different for us, maybe this is the time for forgiveness.” I heard the worry in Kyle’s voice, but I was impressed at his ability to turn a not-so-great situation into something slightly hopeful.

“I really am sorry,” Braeton spoke. He leaned into the arm Drew wrapped around him.

“Nope. No regrets. We have a party to get ready for.” Kyle plastered a smile on his face.

Hugs and kisses were traded before the four of us parted ways.

Kyle and I didn’t speak until we got home. I hesitated, not sure how Kyle was really feeling.

“Babe? What are you thinking?” I leaned against the kitchen counter, pulling him close.

“Honestly, at first, I was scared shitless. But, after a moment, I had a calm come over me.”

I waited, letting Kyle form words for his thoughts.

“It feels right. Scary, but like it’s time. Sort of the last chance. No more wondering if our family will ever come around, no more dreaming about a happy reunion. It will happen today, or it won’t. But, either way, we’ll know.” Kyle breathed deeply. “And I’m ready to know so we can move on, with or without them.”

I smiled, tears stinging my eyes. “You are a truly amazing man, and I love you so very much.” I cupped the side of his face, pulling him close to kiss him softly. “We’ll stand together, no matter what.”

“Yep, we’re a team. They take us together, or they lose us forever.”

  ~*~*~*~

With a smile I couldn’t wipe from my face, I glanced around Metro. Friends had converged to help us celebrate, and my heart swelled to see the love, diversity, and support surrounding us.

Drinks flowed, laughter rang out, and hugs were freely given. Friends gave speeches, food was shared, and music filled the air while we all danced.

“We want to thank you all for coming tonight.” Kyle addressed the crowd. “The people here tonight mean the world to us. You’re our colleagues, our confidants, our best friends, and we wouldn’t want to celebrate with anyone but all of you.” Kyle raised his glass. “Cheers!”

  “Cheers!”

  “A ditto would b
e just as effective, but I feel like I need to at least put forth some effort.” I joked as I took the mic from Kyle. “We are truly blessed to have such amazing people in our lives, and having you all here tonight proves to us that love wins. No matter the hatred, the cruel words, the pain…the love we share with those we’re closest to always wins.” I swallowed a lump in my throat before lifting my glass. “Thank you. Cheers.”

My words echoed back at me, but I only heard a roaring in my ears when I saw my sister, my parents, and Kyle’s brother standing at the entrance.

“Well, how convenient they arrived together,” Kyle said sarcastically.

My sister, Erica, made a beeline for me with her husband trailing behind her. Wrapping me in a hug, pulling Kyle in close, Erica gave her congratulations. Turning bright eyes toward me, my sister blinked rapidly, “I didn’t know they were coming.”

“I didn’t know they were invited until earlier today.” I shrugged.

“I guess it’s time we do this.” Kyle took my hand, and we headed toward my parents and his brother.

Chet, a good friend and the general manager of Metro, stepped to our side. “You guys want to head upstairs for a little privacy?”

I nodded. “Yeah, that would be good. Thanks.”

“Mom, Dad. Thanks for coming.” I hoped the shakiness in my voice wasn’t as evident to them as it was to me.

“Greg, it’s good to see you,” Kyle spoke to his brother. “Let’s head upstairs and we can talk.”

“No, I don’t need a private conversation,” Greg bit out. “I had to come see for myself if you really married a man.” Kyle’s brother shook his head, disgust spread all over his face. “Don’t expect to see me or my kids, I won’t have them ruined by the likes of you. You disgust me.”

Greg turned on his heel, slamming out the door.

My mother looked as if she were about to cry. My father appeared to be fighting the urge to follow Greg out the door. But my only concern was Kyle.

“Babe…,” I started, but Kyle interrupted me.

“No, it’s what I expected. I’ve been coming to terms with it, and tonight helped me reach the closure I needed.” Kyle leaned in to kiss my cheek. “I’m going to grab drinks for the four of us, and I’ll meet you upstairs.”
