The Eleven

  It looks like the big reveal is about to come, his base, Hades had already been revealed in this folder, so what's the point of the other folder being named "Hades", they said that they didn't have a map of the complex so what could be in that folder? I continued reading.

  "Kayneth goes under the alias of John, he uses this to contact anyone involved in his goals. The person who he hired to be the physical head of Jeno probably got the contract from a random person named John. It's a simple and effective way to move around in this world, and of course there is no moving needed, all of this could simply be done online, in an instant. Kayneth plans to use Jeno to create the ultimate army and use it to rule the world with military suppression, we've un covered several journals and plans on his computer that proves this. One of the plans we've managed to take was Project Eleven. It's one of the more simpler plans. What he would do is hire a hit man and have him take out anyone who had any knowledge about his existence. It didn't matter how small it was, if they had even glimpsed at his real name, they were on his hit list. We weren't able to gather why he named it as Project Eleven since we've worked it out that his list is interchangeable and is very subjective, but during this time, we have evidence to believe that he's aiming to gun down eleven people"

  The document abruptly ends here, everything seems to be in the green, I've already gotten most of this, I move on to the second document "Purpose". Lily knocked on my door while it finished loading. I said

  "Come in"

  She opened the door and greeted me, looks like she had just woken up. She asked me in a relaxed and tired voice.

  "So, got any more work?"

  "Yeah, I've got a guy in mind, but I'm doing some background information on another job right now"

  "Oh really, I didn't think you would need to take two jobs at once, I thought you we were doing pretty well "

  "We are, just a little insurance I guess"

  "I see, well do you need any background help?"

  "Nah I'll probably be fine, thanks anyway"

  "Alright"

  She closed the door and headed back, I probably won't need help in finding Jacob Anning, I looked back to the laptop and began reading the second document.

  " Kayneth has a unique way of thinking. Some dictators instill fear within their people by their character. But Kayneth seems to think otherwise. From the journals we found it seems like Kayneth believes in the fear of what you can't see. It is possible but us humans are more susceptible to fearing things we can't see rather than when we can see it. In most horror scenarios, it is often the sounds and shadows and the fact of us anticipating something that really gets us pumping. The fear of the unknown, Xenophobia. Kayneth plans to utilize this and instill his fear within people by simply not being there in the first place. It's a stretch, but when the people are being ruled by a person who has no background information or even existence it's hard to find resistance within the masses. Humanity has been driven, but hopefully the notion of Kayneth being a god or a divine being behind the scenes is a possibility that sadly has to be considered. If he can pull it off right, he's practically an invincible ruler. But even then there's one big flaw in this. The only reason we can think of from enacting things like Project Eleven was to have a guinea pig do the dirty work for him and then dispose of them later. However he does have another agenda in regards to Project Eleven. It seems like he has a system in place where if his plan does succeed, then the person who completes Project Eleven will be given a spot with Kayneth as a ruler. Kayneth won't risk the chance of showing himself in public, so he'll just use another person to carry out his plans, much like the Jeno head. Of course he can't use the head of Jeno for this so he wants another person to fulfill that role, and what better than a hit man chosen by Kayneth himself, an elite fighter that will substitute as the head of the world, a fake dictator that will rule with an iron fist. It's farfetched for anyone to believe in something that isn't there, and even Kayneth knows that, and the success of Project Eleven will give him the perfect scapegoat. He doesn't need to keep that scapegoat for long, all he needs to do is have them play the world leader for a short while, and have them, demoted for the public to see, and with this mysterious power overthrowing this iron fisted dictator, people will be praising the heavens, only to find out that the exact same power is even more worse than what they could ever have imagined"

  This all seems to be a crazy conspiracy theory, but if these conclusions were made from the files of Kayneth's computer, than this is simply insane. His plan might work where he could take over with sheer military power alone, all he needs to do is take over Courtlyn, which is probably his first course of given action. Once he has Courtlyn, he'll use this city as his military base and slowly expand. With the entire city of Courtlyn under his command, it would be possible, and the results would be devastating. He plans to use me as a fool and stand in the middle of the crowd and lead the entire world while waiting for just the perfect moment to bring out his final goal. He's already gotten me wrapped in his project of his, and who knows how much he's advanced the cloning process from then. These files weren't too recent, I'd have to confirm whether the Discarded Knives has any updated information to see if he's almost finished with his cloning research. Knowing all of this, this is a race against time. Once he has the ability to make his super soldiers, suppressing the people won't take long. All he needs to do is take over the government, and it'll be all over. These files don't elude to this, but I'm sure every member of the Discarded Knives knows this and has something in mind to stop them. I need to check back with them and get the full run down. There still seems to be some things left, at this point I have all I need, but I finish it off.

  "With this, once he enacts phase one of his plans, there's no telling how anyone will be able to stop him, even we'll be slowly killed off, and the world will succumb slowly to his plans. But there is a way to stop him. If you are reading this, you are most likely the person chosen for Project Eleven, and you've found out about the Discarded Knives. There's no time to waste, they will tell you what to do and how we can stop Kayneth in his tracks, do not let any personal grudges get to you, at the end of the day, they will be your worst nightmares. Good luck to whomever was chosen, and goodbye from me"

  The initials "S.J" were at the end of the file. It looks like I got caught up in some pretty serious shit. I had decided to fight for my own beliefs, to clean up the streets, to kill off who I thought were real scum, to try and find the light that was slowly fading, yet the one thing that I did not think of when I signed up for this job, was saving the world.

  Chapter 24

  I closed the folder and opened up the internet. I went back into the Discarded Knives website and went into the chat room. The message appeared. "S.J has entered".

  J.K: So how did it go?

  S.J: Just a bunch of rambling, or at least that's what I hoped it was, most of it I already knew. But then you have the crazy theory on his plans to take over

  P.K: Less crazy, but more true

  M.N: So what you gonna do AH?

  S.J: What do you mean? I don't see much of a choice here

  R.T: Well, you could always go along with his plans and temporarily be the leader of the world

  S.J: And then get disposed of

  M.N: Technically we don't know if Kay is going to kill you or not, he may just fake it, or put on a stunning play for the world to see

  S.J: Chances of that are?

  R.T: Not impossible, he might actually put it in your favor, you may live in total paradise for the rest of your life if he doesn't decide to off you

  S.J: Heh, like I want to do that, aiding some criminal mastermind to take over the world

  J.K: Well he isn't a criminal mastermind yet, and quite frankly

  S.J: He doesn't exist

  R.T: Exactly

  L.H: We know how you operate and if you get down to it, he hasn't done much wrong, hasn't hurt anybody, and for all we know, he might not need to if he can play his cards
right

  R.T: And who knows, he might use his cloning trick he has to actually do some good in the world

  M.N: You hunt down people based on your own principals, and now, what does it tell you?

  S.J: That if the chances of him doing anything you just said is plausible, this whole organization wouldn't be so hell bent on taking him down, conspiracy theorists will exist, yes, but to have so much effort put into this guy, you might as well be shitting me when you're trying to back him up

  J.K: And what makes you say that?

  S.J: If his method of taking over the world is through an iron fist, than I'm fairly certain that whatever he wants, is not to save humanity

  P.W: To destroy it?

  S.J: I won't even go that far, rather, he wants to make it into his own personal pet

  R.T: And to be honest we don't know why he's trying to tackle this on, but whatever the reason, you can't deny the possibility of a good result

  M.N: So, are you still in?

  Although It is true that if they don't have valid information on his entire plans, just the mere fact that Kayneth has to result to trying to take over the world by force is enough for him to be a criminal in my opinion. He hasn't done anything yet, but I'm sure that if he has his hands on humanity, we won't be put on a loose leash. I'm already way too deep to just back down now, and knowing that he did play me like a fiddle, making a fool of me and made me a pawn of his plans, I can't just respond to that by backing away, he isn't getting out of this without a bullet or two inside of him. And besides, enough information in the files is proof enough for me to take him down.

  S.J: Of course

  M.N: Good

  L.H: Finally, I had a tough time actually reading through all of that

  S.J: What do you mean?

  J.K: We were kidding, of course we wouldn't defend that guy, we were just testing your loyalty and resolve, if we're going to pull this off, we need all the power we can get, and a weak resolution is only going to slow us down

  R.T: Sorry for playing you, but it had to be done

  S.J: Hah, you almost got me, I was wondering what you guys were rambling on about

  J.K: Well then, now that we got that out of the way, let's discuss our plans to stop him

  P.W: About time, I was getting tired of playing idle, let's do this!

  R.T: Well, the plan's pretty simple when you get down to it

  M.N: Kind of a long shot plan but hey, it's better than nothing, and besides, sometimes the simpler it is, the better

  J.K: To be honest, we weren't sure what to do for a long while, but when Project Eleven was revealed to us, it all became clear

  S.J: Well, I think I have a generally idea

  J.K: Yeah, well basically what we do is have you play out the cool route

  M.N: He doesn't need to know that you know, so just go along with it

  R.T: As long as you get on his soft side, he'll have some surprising openings. Just make sure that when you get the chance, you take it

  J.K: When you see fit, ask Kay for a little meet up, if we assume you do this as the project is finished, than it could just be a meeting to discuss your reward, inevitably, he'll explain how you'll obtain the world and leave out the part where he disposes of you.

  H.S: Insist on meeting up at Hades, it'll save us some time, but if we can't, it'll still be alright

  P.W: We'll have a full on platoon ready to raid his base when the time is right, all we need is a signal

  L.H: And with J.K and M.N, we'll be relatively hidden

  P.W: The only problem is that Erin Alteio guy who's probably going to be on guard when we get there, so we'll split up in two groups

  J.K: If all goes well and you time it perfectly, we'll catch him in the act, and it'll be our win

  S.J: Seems simple enough, surprisingly simple in fact

  R.T: Heh, well, it's all we got, we don't need to have mercy on him, and even if he does have more security than Erin Alteio, we're sure we can take it. It's simply go in and come out.

  J.K: Hopefully, with all the work we've been doing on the technical side, we can do this undetected

  M.N: Don't worry, I'm sure we're still hidden, we cleaned up our tracks pretty well the last time, and as long as A.H here isn't a spy, than we're all good

  J.A: So the only thing left to do is wait until the project is done

  H.S: Or until you see fit, honestly it's all up to you, which is why you're such a vital part in this plan

  R.T: It might be disappointing that it's nothing intricate, but hey, who knows what'll happen if we wait any longer

  S.J: I see, I'll keep an eye out then, make sure that I don't miss any opportunities, and when the time is right, we strike

  L.H: With that out of the way, the more pressing matter at hand, is J.A's fate

  S.J: Yeah...

  J.A: Ha ha well, it was bound to come sooner or later, I still have some things to do but, give me some time, all I need is the rest of today, and it'll all be over

  S.J: Alright

  P.W: Well, that got me all excited, I'm gonna go shoot a few

  I closed the site and sat back. There was still time since Jacob Anning has some business to deal with. Hmmm, there's nothing to do for now, I could just sleep it off, but it may make Kayneth suspicious. Heh, it would also be quite boring to just sleep the day away as well, it was evening, I guess I could take a walk. Just as I was about to close my laptop my phone began ringing. I opened it and checked, the caller was "J.K", interesting, I guess he doesn't mind me having his number, but his real name is still hidden. I picked up and from the other end was the voice of a man maybe in his 20's.

  "Oh yeah, you left pretty abruptly but there is something you should know"

  "What is it?"

  "The place your staying at, the Canex building, is under our cloaking devices"

  "So you're saying Kayneth won't be able to trace anything from here?"

  "Or tap into anything for that matter, it's a safe place"

  "I see, you guys are pretty sneaky, I didn't even notice you set it up"

  "Hah well, with the help of L.H, it was surprisingly a lot easier than it should have been"

  "Well if that's a-"

  "Also, if you're wondering what J.A is up to, I wouldn't mind hooking you up"

  "Well, it's really none of my business"

  "That is true, but aren't you a little curious? I mean, I'm sure he won't mind, and besides, he's wanted by the Jeno's secret hunters, if you tail him, I bet you'll be more beneficial than a hindrance"

  "Secret hunters?"

  "Yeah, they've got an underground batch of hit men for situations like these, when Thomas Hanks went rogue way back, he was also hunted by them. Truth be told, the regular Jeno workers don't know anything about them, it was a counter measure hired by Kayneth, even the fake head was surprised of the existence of them"

  "So even Kayneth did things himself huh"

  "Well, hit men are a different story, but once Jacob resurfaces, they're gonna be on his ass in an instant"

  "I suppose he already knows about this"

  "Yup, but he's still willing to take the risk, he didn't want to trouble us by asking for an escort mission, but I think he wouldn't mind the extra help"

  "He said he wanted a day, what could he possibly want to do?"

  "Curious now are we? Well, it's a simple dying man's wish, all he wants to do, is say his goodbyes"

  Looks like I've found something to do. But, if I take this on, the chances of me being found out by Kayneth are high. I ask J.K.

  "Well, even if I do take this side mission on, how am I gonna stay cloaked?"

  "Kayneth is hiding in his own cave, but he has many birds watching out for him, if you'd like, we can get M.N and R.T to mess up some of his signals so you won't be found out"

  "How long will that last?"

  "As long as we need it, it'll be tough, and I'll also help out in the effort, but all that matters is that J.A get's to do what he needs to
do. So how about it?"

  "Yeah, I'll do it, do you have an idea where he's going to resurface?"

  "He's well hidden, but to us, he's more like hiding in plain sight. I'll send you a set of coordinates, we'll have the signals jammed in five minutes, we'll send you another text when we've got it down. We suspect that he'll make his move anytime now so, get ready"

  He hangs up, a set of coordinates was sent to my phone. I checked the coordinates on my GPS and looked for the easiest route. I packed my equipment and waited for the signal. It was evening, there's going to be a lot of people. Hopefully this won't cause too much noise to the public, I'd hate to have to involve innocents. After five minutes I was given another text.

  "Ready or not, here you go"

  I begin grappling my way to his location. Hopefully by the time I make it, I won't be too late.

  Chapter 25

  It was already evening, I had a ways to go if I wanted to meet up with them. This is the only chance that I have. I was determined to make it home, I needed to. I closed the Discarded Knives' site and checked my location. I was underground, but I had set up a device to let me pick up signals from up above. From my current location, I could make it to my home in 20 minutes. It was the middle of the evening, I wouldn't have the veil of night to guide me, the Jeno hit men should still be after me. I suspect that the moment I pull my head up, a round of lead will welcome it. I had two pistols on me and a couple of magazines. This'll have to do for now. I left my laptop on the ground and got up. I was hiding in an underground room that I had built beforehand. I guess with Adam obliged to hunt me down, and the hit men, I wouldn't need any of this stuff anymore. I holstered my two guns and began unlocking the exit. Hopefully I wouldn't run into any trouble, but I doubt it. I pushed open the door, closed it behind me, and began running back to my home.
