  So he went away quite pleased.

  I wanted to call this book ‘My Life on the Ocean Wave’, or ‘How I nearly didn’t survive to write it’, but a friend of mine who is very literary, having several times contributed to the ‘Sydney Bulletin’, says that wouldn’t do. So he gave me the title you see on the outside. It may be literary, but I still think mine is better.
