  Chapter 11: End of the Rainbow

  Ronnie and Lance were enjoying being married after they sorta kinda eloped. They had such a passionate relationship and Ronnie was really enjoying the connection he had with Lance, it was like he could talk to him about anything! Lance was so supportive of Ronnie and his drag career and it only been a few days since they were in Vegas, Ronnie had been winning in DruPaul Drag Race and was in the top 3, winner of the race would get a recording contract with GayBoy Records and the Bad Bitch award, which as basically a gold trophy with DruPaul’s face on it! Ronnie was determined to win, he came all this way, and DruPaul was very much into Renee Harvey style, so that was a plus! It had been 3 weeks and even tho Ronnie an Lance were basically living on a prayer, using Ronnie savings to stay in the hotel they was at on the strip, but Ronnie was so into winning that he wasn't really bothered by it. As one of the last shows was coming up Renee was in steep competition with Urethra for both were really good singers and had unique style, and when it came to voting it was pretty much a tie! Tonight Renee Harvey had to sing a Janet Jackson song, which meant Renee had to dance, and one thing Renee had an advantage over Urethra......she was way skinnier! It was time for the show and the theater was packed, Renee was putting on her lipstick and she was kinda nervous, so Lance gave her some support, 

  "Lance I don't know if can do this!" Renee said 

  "Baby you came this far, you got this don't worry I'll be cheering as loud as I can! YOU GOT THIS BABE!!" Lance said 

  "You right, I got this!! Beside I got some good ass dance moves and I ain't got whale blubber to hold me back unlike my competition!" Renee said 

  "That's the spirit honey, YOU GONNA KILL THESE HOES!!"

  Then it was time to perform, Renee was kinda nervous but encouragement from Lance made it feel better and as she faced the crowd she instantly the felt the energy!

  "YALL WE GOT TWO FINALISTS LEFT IN THE RACE, AND HERE TO SLAYYY THE STAGE HONEY.....MISS RENEE HARVEY!" DruPaul shouted 

  Renee did a medley of "All for You", "All Nite" an "Call on Me" by Janet Jackson, and instead of the gown she usually wears Renee switched it up and had on this boiler suit, a cap, some booties and a swift lil wig! Renee was moving her bawwwdy staying on beat throughout the song, shaking those hips, werkin those knees and a lil twerk action too! The crowd was in uproar and gave Renee a standing ovation! Urethra came onto the stage and did "Feedback", and couldn't really dance but her stripper past kinda came in handy when she bounced on her ass! The judges were kinda turned off by it, so that gave Renee an edge in the competition.

  "YASSSS AMERICA, NEXT WEEK THE DRUPAUL QUEEN OF 2011 WILL BE ANNOUNCED NEXT WEEK WITH ONE LAST COMPETITION, AND THEN AMERICA DECIDES WHO.....WILL.....BE......THAT BITCH!" Shouted DruPaul 

  Ronnie wanted to change clothes but he was so comfortable and looked so chic that he decided to keep on the clothes on and as he an Lance went to the mall on the strip, fans instantly rushed to see him at they were voting for him on the final challenge! Ronnie also showed off his ring and even kissed Lance in front of the cameras, getting admiration from everybody in the mall and Ronnie felt famous! The next day Ronnie and Lance were laying in bed enjoying the sunrise when Lance had something he wanted to get off his chest, 

  "Ooooooh this feels so good, just Layin in bed with yo sexy ass, I love you Lance!"  

  "Ronnie babe I love you even more, and I like being here in Vegas it's so much fun!"

  "I know right, we should like move here!"

  "Well that's what I kinda wanted to talk to you about, I think we should move here like permanently, you know since you had so much bad blood back in New Orleans I just figure we start fresh here in Vegas!" Lance said 

  "Wow Lance, I don't know, I don't want us to leave everything behind based on a whim, besides what if I don't win drag race?" Ronnie lamented 

  "Babe you'll win, everybody loves you and besides Renee Harvey looks way cuter than Urethra! Trust me you can do this!" Lance said 

  It was a few days later, the day of the final show, and Ronnie was backstage getting ready to put on his dress so he could be Renee Harvey! This was the last performance, and the winner will be crowned TONIGHT! The challenge was something of a karaoke, the song had to be a hit from 1989 and it could be any song, Ronnie was goin back an forth trying to figure out what to sing, but while he was thinking, Urethra cocky ass came into the dressing room trying to shade Renee,

  "I see you trying to bring yo A-game thinking you gonna win, well honey trust, when my ass wins that recording contract you might as well work for me, I'll let you be my like my assistant or something, so get that resume together....." Urethra said 

  "Bitch trust I wouldn't work for yo fat ass even if you did win, however I think you be perfect entertainment at the Circus casino over there since you got all that clown makeup on!"

  "Oh so skinny bitch here got jokes!"

  "Bitch yo whole look is a joke!!" Renee jabbed 

  "My look is a joke, SAYS THE BITCH WHOSE EDGES BEEN REPORTED MISSIN!" Urethra shaded 

  "What about them old ass kitten heels you got on, probably can't even wear stilettos because your fat ass will break them!" Renee said 

  "Ha, honey you cannot talk with those $25 Ross heels you got on, I bet you had to suck plenty of dicks to get those!"

  "Well at least I got some dick, yo fat ass can't even get one that's why you got that vibrator in ya dressing room, oh Honey word of advice.....close ya door!"  Renee said as she won this round 

  "Ok girls it's Showtime!!" One of the producers said 

  "Will see what voters say, if you excuse me I got a song to sing and a bitch to bury, bye boo!" Urethra said as she sashayed her way out Renee's room 

  As Renee was about to put on her heels, suddenly there was Lance, and he brought a surprise....

  "Hey babe damn you look amazing!" Lance said 

  "Thanks....well it's my last show, so wish me luck!"

  "Oh babe before you go I gotta surprise for you," Lance says 

  "Hey baby!!" Delilah said as she came in 

  "MOMMY!!" Renee shouted 

  "I came to see you, tonight's the night baby, you came this far!" Delilah said 

  It was time for the show, half the gay community was tuned in to this very close race, and DruPaul was with her other judges as they had the trophy on standby waiting to be given to the most fabulous drag queen of 2011!! Urethra came out with a glittering gown and began to sing "Dreamin" by Vanessa Williams, which was his choice, and her notes were a lil off on some parts of the song but when it came to the high note that's when she fucked up and it sounded kinda harsh!! But Urethra pulled it together and managed to finish the song, overall the judges gave her a 7/10. It was soon Renee's turn to sing, and the crowd was anxious to hear what she was gonna sing! Renee chose to sing "Home" by Stephanie Mills and Delilah was in the crowd watching as her son came a long way after his dreams were almost destroyed by Lucky. Renee began to sing and it was beautiful, the crowd was waving their hands and Renee was so emotional when she sang that tears fell down and as soon as she got to the final part of the song, Renee let out this huge note and held it for 12 seconds! The crowd gave her a standing ovation and even a tearful complement from DruPaul! It was the moment of judgement and America voted as who should be the winner of DruPaul Drag Race!

  "We had many divas on this show, and they were all fabulous, but only one can be the winner......this is a very tense moment, but the results are in, and the winner is......MISS RENEE HARVEY YALL!!!" Shouted DruPaul 

  Then Ronnie heard that he won, he cried and was in shock pretty much, He got emotional as DruPaul himself presented the award to him,

  "CONGRATS MISS RENEE, HOW YOU FEEL HONEY!!" DruPaul asked 

  "To be honest I feel so.....oh my god I can't comprehend it but I just wanna say a lil speech!" Renee said 

  "Yasssss honey go ahead!! 

  "I just wanna say, that it took a lot of strength to do this, coming all t
he way from New Orleans to Vegas,  I almost gave up on my dream because my old manager who discovered me back in Chicago, he was shady with my money and my mom needed her bills paid and he told me that he'll only give it to me if I let him touch me and (cries) he abused me so bad sexually and physically that I really turned my back on the entertainment biz but if it wasn't for my mommy and my SUPER DUPER WONDERFUL husband Lance I wouldn't be the 2011 DruPaul Drag Queen THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!" Said Renee  

  After that moving speech Ronnie went backstage and just cried, he couldn't believe he won the race, and he gave Lance the biggest kiss as they just reveled in their victory! Delilah gave Ronnie the biggest hug, she was so proud of him, seeing him go from a flamboyant gay boy in Chicago to bring a star.....for real this time!!

  2012

  It had been an eventful couple of months after the win at drag race, and Ronnie signed a deal with GayBoy Records and put out his first album "Feelings", and the lead single "PHATTYLICIOUS" was getting played in May gay clubs an now giving Renee Harvey more exposure to larger gay communities! Ronnie and Lance decided to move to Vegas permanently, and Lance soon opened up a restaurant in Vegas called "The Cajun Joint" which was already generating some buzz as a live talent bar showcasing upcoming LGBT talent every Friday night! And Ronnie got his mom and Aunt Bessie out of the ghetto and moved them to Vegas too, so they could be close to each other. Lance and Ronnie decided for their 1 year anniversary they adopt a lil baby girl, and some dogs too! Renee Harvey was about to go on in Europe but before she left, Ronnie wanted to stop by Lance restaurant and sing for everybody, he even invited his mom and Aunt Bessie to see him, 

  "Oooooh Lance really shaped this place up, and this Cajun chicken an waffles good as hell!" Aunt Bessie said 

  "And this sauce is just wonderful!" Delilah said 

  "Gurl I'm so proud of Ronnie, but I'm really of you, if it wasn't for you Ronnie wouldn't be here, I guess I was wrong for judging him back then," 

  "Oh Bessie it's alright I mean I admit I was worried too bout how he would turn out but he did well for himself, and we finally out the ghetto!"

  "HEY EVERYONE HOW YALL DOIN TONIGHT.....I GOT SOMEBODY VERY SPECIAL TONIGHT, HES A WONDERFUL DRAG QUEEN WITH AN AMAZING VOICE AND HES MY AMAZING HUBBY, YALL GIVE UP FOR RENEE HARVEY!!!" Lance shouted 

  Then everybody stood up and clapped, and Renee was about to sing a song that had nothing with booty shaking, but a personal song that gave comfort back when Ronnie was little, and Renee sang "I Love The Lord" by Whitney Houston, for it was like a lil thank you for restoring the joy in him, in all the craziness that happened in the 22 years in Ronnie’s life, and finally making it perfect.....
