Forever & an Engine (The Austin Series)

‘Lexi what’s going on? Where’s Gabe? Where are we going?’ I suddenly felt sick again as I searched her face. She looked on the verge of tears. ‘Lexi? Please tell me, where’s Gabe?’
‘Mia there was an accident outside, Gabe was hit by a car. He’s been rushed to hospital and …………’
I watched as her lips carried on moving. She was obviously still talking to me, but I couldn’t hear a word she was saying. I thought she’d just said Gabe was hit by a car.
I reached out to touch the wall to anchor myself as I swayed. Gabe was hit by a car? I felt the room spinning again. Gabe was hit by a car, no, no, no, no, NO.
It felt like time had suddenly frozen, all sounds stopped as I felt my heart shatter into a million tiny pieces and I sank to my knees, fell on all fours and vomited again and again, retching until my stomach had nothing left to give up, I felt as if I’d turned inside out.
I watched the vile smelling, chocolate tinged liquid slowly spreading out across the old black and white floor tiles as I felt Lexi’s hands rubbing my back, up and down, up and down. Not Gabe, not my Gabe.
All of a sudden sounds came rushing back into my ears and I heard someone screaming loudly, high pitched and hysterical. It it took a moment to realise that someone was me.
Thank you all so much for coming back to carry on with their Mia, Gabe and Lexi’s story and reading Forever and an Engine.
Extra special thanks to all the readers who left reviews for the first two books, they really are important and mean so much to us new authors who are struggling to get known out there against all the competition and I get a massive buzz each time I hear from one of you or get left a review or your thoughts on the series.

Acknowledgements
I would like to thank all of my family, friends, fans and my cat for their continued support, each of you totally rocks!
I also couldn’t have made it through the writing process without copious amounts of my favourite chocolate, pizza, ice cream, wine and cider. Writing should come with a health warning, it can be extremely fattening to your health, especially when you are sat on your butt all day with said calorific treats.
I would also like to take a moment to thank two more people. Firstly the fabulous Georgia Le Carre, author of the fantastic “The Billionaire Banker Series” who has been in regular contact and very generously shared some of her knowledge with me for which I am very humbled. If you haven’t read her books, I encourage you to stampede to your computers, laptops, kindles or kindle reading apps and do so now!
Also thanks Georgia for putting me in touch with Kellie of Bookcovers By Design, who has helped me come up with a theme for the whole six Austin series book covers, the first two books have been relaunched in the new design, which I hope you will all love as much as I do. The hearts are designed to reflect what is going on in Mia’s own heart at any given point in each book. Please let me know what you think, I’d love to hear from you.
Thank you all so much and look forward to seeing you for the next chapter in Mia, Gabe and Lexi’s lives!
