  Brazen Temptation

Claire Lynravn, a succubus, wants to work as a bartender at the sex club, but Joaquin Sullivan turns her down. She discovers that he's a vampire and that no demons are allowed in town. She blackmails him into hiring her.

Joaquin learns that Claire is part demon and makes her a deal. Either she loses her job for lying to him, or he and Dakarai Hawthorne train her as their slave for a BDSM demonstration. Claire agrees, fearing it's only a matter of time before they discover her secret—she’s haunted by a human soul trapped inside of her.

Claire finds a coffin in the cellar of the club, and Nex Harper awakens from his coma. She wants nothing to do with the were-tiger, but she hadn't counted on mating heat.

Nex finds Claire harming herself because of the human’s possession. The men vow to save Claire, but how does one cast a human soul out of a demon?

  Chapter One:

  Vampire

Claire Lynravn drove past the sign welcoming her into the little Wyoming town of Temptation. Aside from some of the newer, modern-looking establishments, the place had a quaint feel to it with the log cabin-style buildings. The wooden planks which served as sidewalks were a throwback to the days of the Wild West. There were wooden carvings and statues of bears, wolves, moose and salmon all over town along with other animals native to the Rocky Mountain region.

That in addition to the cool, crisp air of the departing summer made her like the place already. It was September and fall would arrive any day. The cold seasons were her favorite and she had a feeling this area experienced drastic drops in temperature during the winter months.

Claire rolled down her window, soaking up the primal energy and strong sexual tension she sensed surrounding the town. The place was practically marinating in it. Yes, this town would suit her needs well.

She gaped in astonishment when she saw a scantily dressed woman leading a younger man around by a dog leash attached to his collar. He wore jeans but no shirt to conceal his pointed nipples, which were tightened against the cold air.

A stocky man in leather walked toward the woman on the sidewalk leading a human pet of his own—a slim, redheaded woman who looked about half his age. She wore a pink plaid miniskirt and a white top that tied in the front to reveal delicate midriff, but the top several buttons were left undone, exposing her small but perky cleavage.

Claire pulled over and parked by the side of the road near Stein’s bar, but she could hear the conversation several feet away much better than any human would be capable of.

The woman leading her male pet around told him to sit and the young man got down on his knees. The other man greeted her and they made small talk. Claire tapped into their souls just enough to absorb any relevant information so she would know what was going on. Apparently the woman was barren and wanted a baby. She and the man in leather agreed to breed their pets together to make a baby.

“Sniff her scent and tell me if her breasts satisfy you,” the woman told her pet. “You must suckle them to be sure.”

The guy on her leash appeared eager to oblige and touched noses with the young woman on the leash. She sat on her knees and moaned, head going back when his face disappeared in the V of her top where he presumably tasted of her breasts.

Claire became hot and bothered by the scene before her, especially when the young girl’s lust revealed that her breasts were completely bare beneath her white top as they were offered up to the mouth of a stranger. Claire licked her lips, unable to believe such a town existed. This was just what she needed—a haven of depraved citizens to keep her fed and nourished by their bawdy urges and thoughts.

“So where would you like the breeding to take place, Sally?” the man in leather asked.

Sally, the Domme in skintight clothes, smiled. “I think a private room in the club would be appropriate. How about Friday night at seven o’clock? We can sit and watch our pets hump each other and provide us with a little puppy.”

The man’s approval was subtle, but his aura burned with desire and admiration of the woman before him. “Us? Will this pup
py be ours?”

Sally grinned, seeming slightly embarrassed to have given away her interest in this man so easily. “I meant my puppy. Sorry, Dale. I wasn’t trying to be presumptuous.”

Dale seemed disappointed, but he hid it well. “It’s no problem. I mean I certainly wouldn’t hold any objection to playing daddy to your baby.”

Sally grinned. “Well, maybe when my puppy is born you can be the godfather.”

Dale frowned before seeming to force a smile. “The godfather. That sounds nice.”

“So we’ll meet at the club on Friday around seven o’clock in the evening?” Sally reminded him.

  Dale nodded. “We’ll be there.”

“I look forward to it. Come, Josh.” Sally coaxed her male human pup to his feet and led him away.

“Me too,” Dale said quietly, eyes glued to her ass and swaying hips as she swaggered away.

His redheaded slave girl looked up at her master with a knowing smile.

  “What?”

  She shrugged.

  “You may speak now, Trish.”

“Why don’t you ask her out?” Trish asked him.

“Because she’s too good for me,” Dale said with a sigh of longing.

“No one is too good for my master.” Trish ran her palm up the inside of his leg, smiling at the obvious bulge in his pants. “You can’t even be around her without getting hard.”

“She’s so amazing. I need to lose weight.”

“Why? You look great, and it’s not like she’s perfect, either. She has a little extra weight on her.”

  “You mean curves.”

“Actually I meant love handles and—”

“She’s perfect,” he said dreamily. “That lovely, mature face and those planet-size tits and that big-old ass.”

  Trish giggled.

“Don’t be so quick to mock. I saw you practically handing over your body on a silver platter to her man slave.”

She blushed, looking thoroughly smitten. “He is cute. I’ll sleep with him if you want me to.”

He laughed. “I bet you will, my sleazy little pup. Let’s go find a nice secluded place and you can take care of something for me.”

She gave him a naughty smile. “And what might that be?”

He shook his head with a grin. “Don’t be stupid, Trish. You know damned well what I mean. Now stand up and walk with me. I want to get there faster.”

The couple walked off together and Claire felt her pussy gush at all she’d seen and overheard. Oh dear god, this was the perfect town for her. All she needed was a job and a place to live and she would be set.

She noticed a woman taking down laundry from a clothesline in the yard of a house behind the bar. “Excuse me, ma’am. When does the bar open?”

The plump brunette gave her a friendly smile. “Not until noon.”

“Do you know if they’re hiring?” Claire asked.

“Not at the moment, but they might be hiring a receptionist over at the clinic.”

  “What about The Gothic Angel?”

The woman stopped folding a sheet and glanced at her curiously. “Now what does a nice little girl like you want to work at a sex club for?”

Claire shrugged. “I need a job, and I’m sure I’ll like the ambiance.”

The woman laughed. “Oh, it has ambiance all right, or so I’m told. Lars and I don’t go to the club. We get all our fun right here at home, or sometimes we’ll get some goodies from Your Mom.”

“Excuse me?” Claire was appalled. How the hell did this woman know her mom?

The woman laughed. “Oh no, sweetie, I didn’t mean we mess around with your mom. That’s the name of the best adult shop in town—Your Mom.”

Claire smirked. “Oh, I get it. That’s a great name for it.”

“It is. I’m Millie, by the way.”

“Claire.” She shook the woman’s extended hand. Her eyes widened when she saw an enormous moose come out from the trees. “Oh my god, it’s a moose!”

Millie glanced over her shoulder and smiled. “Oh, that’s my husband, Lars. Say hi, Lars.”

The moose snorted and nodded at her. Claire knew this town was rumored to be open-minded, but a moose for a husband seemed to be taking it a bit too far. The woman must be nuts.

A little girl ran out of the house. “I found him!”

A little boy followed after her and they ran toward the moose with outstretched arms. “Daddy!”

Oh, good lord, Millie must have brainwashed her kids into thinking this moose was their father. At least he seemed tamed and allowed them to pet him. He even nuzzled their round, little faces.

“I’m not sure if the club is hiring, but you could always check. You’ll have to go at night, though, since it’s not open during the day. The owners’ names are Joaquin Sullivan and Dakarai Hawthorne I believe. Just ask for one of them.”

“Is there any way to talk to them sooner?”

“They live at the club, but it’s closed during the day.”

“Do they have a favorite hangout place where I might find them? I just don’t want to have to wait for hours.”

Millie shook her head. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen them walking around town in the daytime, though they do sometimes at night. I guess they prefer the nightlife.”

“Or maybe they’re vampires,” Claire teased.

Millie snickered. “That’s not possible. No vampires or demons are allowed here in Temptation.”

  Claire stiffened. “Why not?”

  “Because they’re evil, sweetie.”

“But what if there was a good one?”

“A demon’s a demon no matter which way you slice it. They’re soulless. There are no good ones.”

This disappointed Claire, but she felt relieved that the woman didn’t seem to know what she was. Millie probably thought she was human. If Claire wanted to stay in this town, she’d better keep up that facade. “Thank you, ma’am.”

“No, no, dear. I told you to call me Millie. If you want to work at the club then you’ll have to learn to follow orders. I hear the owners are also Doms, so they probably won’t appreciate someone forgetting to follow the rules.”

  “Right. I’m sorry.”

Millie brushed her off. “No harm, dear. I want you to enjoy your stay here. When you get settled in somewhere you’ll have to come over here for dinner sometime. I’m a darned good cook and Lars makes the best drinks in town.”

Claire tried not to laugh at the image of a moose mixing cocktails, if such an undertaking was even possible. “Thank you, Millie. I’ll do that.”

  * * * *

Claire got directions to The Gothic Angel and drove across town until she saw it. She took note of the address and went off to get a late-morning treat. Where was that doughnut shop she saw earlier? It had to be around here somewhere. Coffee sounded good too.

She spotted two cops in the parking lot of the police station and parked her car. They would know. As she drew closer she saw a slender woman with long brown hair storming toward them.

“Ben!” the woman yelled. “You bastard, you gave me a parking ticket!”

Ben, who looked like he stood well over six foot, flashed her a spiteful smile. “Chanel, you parked two hours and two minutes in a two-hour parking spot.”

“What, did you just sit there for two hours and wait until my time expired?”

“That’s exactly what I did.” His dark eyes laughed at her, but Claire sensed he disliked this woman very much.

“You son of a bitch, I met someone in the library! He’s a genius, unlike my retarded brother-in-law.” Chanel glared at Ben, and Claire supposed he must be her brother-in-law.

“Aw, you hear that, Mark? She met someone…again,” Ben taunted. “I thought you were seeing that Carl guy.”

“Kyle,” Chanel snapped, “and no, I’m not seeing him anymore.”

“Is this because I beat him up?” Mark asked with a mischievous grin. “He insulted my alpha, so I had to kick his ass
.”

“Yes, and then brainchild Ben here let you off with a warning,” she complained.

“It was his first offense,” Ben defended. “If he does it again, there will be consequences.”

“Did you really break up with your boyfriend because I beat him up?” Mark asked.

“Of course I broke up with him. I can’t be with a wimp who loses in a fight. I have a reputation to consider.”

  “No, you don’t,” Ben muttered.

Chanel shot him a warning glance. “How’s your wife?”

Ben stiffened, but Claire sensed pain behind his iron gaze. “I wouldn’t know.”

Chanel folded her arms with a snotty look of approval. “Remind me again why my sister left you. Was it because you used to be fat?”

“Hey, that’s not very nice,” Mark rebuked her. “Ben’s macho. He’s never been fat.”

“I used to be, but that’s not why she left me,” Ben said quietly, countenance shadowed with caution.

“Remind me again, because I forget. Was it because you’re a chauvinist who tried to hold her back from her career, or did it have something to do with a pregnancy test?” she sassed.

“Get out…now.” Ben’s tone sounded stern, but pain flickered in his eyes behind his aggravation.

Chanel’s face was brazenly smug as she turned and walked away.

Claire decided the woman was something of a bitch as she slowly approached the two men. “Who was that?”

She knew it was none of her business, but she wasn’t one to sit on a question that nagged at her curiosity no matter how nosy she appeared.

“Oh, that was just the town bitch,” Mark replied, shaking his head over the other woman’s rudeness.
