She arched upward with supplicating whimpers. The pleasure was stunning in its intensity … she hovered on the brink, willing him to give her all of it …

“Oh, please, please,” was all she could get out. Suspended on the edge and not going over had reduced her to begging.

“Do you want more of it … all of it, like this?” And he gave her a thrust that almost had her climaxing. It felt so good, but he withdrew again, almost to the edge.

“Darling, please, I can’t take any more.”

  “How many?” he asked again.

“Two, t—“ She broke off in mid-sentence, as suddenly, he picked up the pace. He thrust deep, over and over, surging into her, a piston out of control. Her gasping breath, and whimpering cries, the only sounds that could be heard over the ferocity of their love making, as he took them to the edge where they teetered for a moment, before crashing together in an erotic free fall.

The force of the orgasm, so strong, they almost flew off the desk. It was hot and steamy, and each time she thought it was finished it gave her another sensual kick. She felt Damon shudder as he kept pulsing inside her.

“Thanks the gods you succumbed, darling; I didn’t know how much longer I could’ve held out.”

“If this is the result, then it was well worth it.” Thank you, darling. I love the way you love me,” she told him.

“I love you more than life itself, Franchesca,” he murmured, as he gave her a passionate kiss before withdrawing from her body and walked into the bathroom in his office.

She was too spent to move, so she lay back and watched him get some tissue and bring it to her. He was still erect, his cock jutting out in front of him. She never got tired of seeing him like this… he was just too perfect. Words failed her as she forced herself to remain still and wait for him to come to her. He was a treasure one she’d never thought would be hers.

Never in her wildest imagination had she expected to find her rhapsody... in Paris.

  AUTHOR’S NOTE

This is the final book in the LaCasse series. I did not set out to write a series. After all, State of Ecstasy, the first book in the series, was my first romance novel. I’d written a collection of short stories but nothing on the scale of a full, steamy, passionate romance novel. So, at the time, I was not thinking as far ahead as “series,” but State of Ecstasy received such a warm welcome from my readers. Most of them fell in love with Foxx, Wolfe’s twin, and wanted to know what happened to Foxx and Therèse, and there you have it. The series was born.

Although there are six siblings, I began my story with Wolfe, twin to Foxx, continued with Foxx, and then with Raymond, the youngest of the brothers. I ended with Franchesca, the youngest girl in the family, bringing this series to a fitting end, with a woman in the driver’s seat.

I hope you enjoyed Franchesca’s story as much as you enjoyed the stories of the LaCasse men. Hers was slightly different, being set in Nice, France, but I brought her back to Martinique for the grand finale.

  Enjoy,

  XOXO

  ONE DANCE WITH A STRANGER

Caitlynn was in a funk. She’d soon be turning thirty, and she had yet to meet the love of her life. She had met only one man who had made her feel happy, allowing her to live in the moment.

She could remember the night she’d met him as if it were yesterday. She and her friend, Esther, had gone to the St. Lucian Club after the Labor Day parade in Brooklyn, New York. She’d walked into the club ready to dance, and as soon as she hit the floor, she had her hands in the air and she was dancing to the hot beat. The next thing she knew, a man was standing in front of her dancing right along with her. She didn’t look directly at him, so she had no idea what he looked like. He was dark and tall, with a way of moving that was pure sex. She remembered how he moved more than what he looked like.

They danced six songs without stopping, talking, or even looking at each other—she wasn’t anyway. The groove felt so good—he matched her move for move—and she didn’t want to ruin it with small-talk. Esther, on the other hand, was not having as much of a good time. No one had asked her to dance, and she began coming up to Caitlynn asking to leave. After putting Esther off for the third time, Caitlynn stopped dancing long enough to walk with her out of the club. Caitlynn tried to get her to stay for one more dance. Esther was not having it. She was hellbent on leaving. So Caitlynn waited until she saw her get into a taxi before walking back into the club to look for her dance partner, but alas, he had disappeared, just as suddenly as he had appeared.

She’d met him only that one time all those years ago, and she’d returned to the club every Labor Day since in the hopes of meeting him again, but with no luck. She didn’t know his name and didn’t even know what he looked like, given the muted lighting of the club. But she knew if he were to come up to dance with her like he had five years ago her body would easily recognize him. It’d felt so good dancing with him. No one had made her feel that way before or since. She still craved that feeling. It was sex in its purest form, every move designed to give pleasure. She wanted to feel it one more time—to judge for herself whether it had been real or imagined.

She hoped this Labor Day would be the day.
