Friends and Lovers Page 4

by Vristen Pierce

It was a little toasty in the apartment now. I slipped into my high heels before making my way to adjust the thermostat. Doodle’s bark alerted me to a presence outside my door before the knock did. Evan or Justin? I smiled. Evan was usually the more prompt of the two. “Shush, Doodle,” I admonished when he continued to bark. He had a point, though. I, after all, had continued to stand there, rooted to the spot.

  Move Stacy. Now.

I pressed my trembling hands together and took several deep breaths before going to the door. Now that it was time to put all my big talk into action, I was petrified. So much for new Stacy! Disgusted with myself, I pulled the door open. My smile slipped and then widened. Both of my guys at once. Of course, my mind being in the gutter as always when it came to these two, that thought sounded far too good to me. “Hey, y’all.” I stepped aside. “Come in, please.”

  “Hi,” they said in unison.

I looked from one to the other, feeling slightly off balance. Something seemed… odd here. There was a frisson of tension that I couldn’t make sense of. Oh God. Maybe they suspected why I’d asked them here and they weren’t looking forward to dashing my hopes.

Evan smiled as his gaze roamed over me. “You look incredible.”

“Yeah,” Justin said, his focus sliding up the length of me to meet my eyes. “Fucking gorgeous.”

I cast my eyes downward for a moment. “Thank you,” I said, smiling. Thank you too, little black dress. “Doodle, stop it,” I said to the dog. Apparently, I wasn’t the only one who’d missed Evan and Justin. The Yorkie wouldn’t stop jumping up on their lower legs until he’d been properly greeted.

“It’s all right,” Justin said, scooping him up in his arms. He stroked his fur. “He’s just happy to see me.”

Evan took the dog from him and held him to his chest. “Or happy to see me.”

Giving them a bemused smile, I nodded. “Happy to see you both.” I gestured to the couch. “Have a seat, please.”

They walked over, my gaze locking in on their asses, looking way too irresistible in the jeans they wore. As they sat down, I pulled my focus away and released a long breath. Hell, now, how exactly did I go about this?

“I’m sure you’re wondering why I asked you to come over—”

“And I’m sure you weren’t expecting to have him”—Justin gave an up nod in Evan’s direction—“crashing things.”

Evan gave a disbelieving laugh. “Me? You’re the uninvited one, asshole.”

I held up my hands. “No one’s crashing anything and no one’s uninvited.” They turned to face me, confusion clear on their handsome faces. “I asked you both here.”

  They frowned.

  “What?” Evan asked.

  Justin huffed. “Why?”

“I need to talk to you both.” I began pacing in front of the couch. “I missed you so much the entire time I was gone so I knew returning wouldn’t be easy. Even if I never saw either of you again, just knowing you were so close…”

I sucked in a breath and forced the words out before old Stacy made her timid, boring appearance. “Anyway, after I saw you and after we—we kissed, I knew I couldn’t deny it anymore.” I stopped pacing and faced them head-on. “I still want you—both of you. So I was wondering if you might consider giving things another chance. Only, this time, I’ll call it what it was in the first place. Dating. Would you two like to date me?” I asked hopefully.

They stared at me, their faces a combination of confusion and trepidation.

Okay, so even if they ran out of here screaming, at least I’d tried.

“You want to… date us?” Justin asked.

“Us?” Evan repeated. “As in ‘not one or the other.’ ”

Shit. I had to do some damage control. I may have been in love, but neither of them needed to know that. They’d really run for the hills then. All they wanted was sex; I accepted that. I also accepted that I was playing with fire by asking them to use my body when I knew they’d never want anything else from me. My heart would be broken by the end of this weird three-way relationship. It wasn’t a possibility. It was a fact. Still, I knew it was worth it.

I’d put their minds at ease. They didn’t have to worry about my getting sappy on them. We would simply be friends with benefits.

Fortunately, I was rather sure I could convince them to give me what I wanted. I’d prepared for this reaction. I gave them a sly smile as I walked closer to them. Let’s just say I’d chosen my wicked little dress for a reason.

  Six

“Don’t worry, boys,” I said lightly. “I know you’re not looking for anything serious. Neither am I.” Ha—such a lie. “I only want what we had before. Fun, some laughs, great sex…” I shrugged. “Good times basically.”

Justin looked at me blankly. “You have got to be fucking kidding me.”

Evan clamped his hands over his eyes and groaned. “I can’t believe this shit.”

I frowned. “What? It’s obvious you two still want me.” I mean, I hated to sound conceited, but it was the truth.

Shaking his head, Justin chuckled. “That’s beside the point.”

  “I don’t think it is.”

“Trust me,” he said, leaning back against the couch. “It is.”

“Then what is the point? Enlighten me, please.”

Evan sighed. “Things didn’t exactly end well last time we tried that.”

“I thought I was ready to settle down. That’s not an option with the two of you. Next point?”

“You thought you were,” Justin said to himself. “Hmm… sounds like past tense to me. How about you?” he asked, glancing at Evan.

Evan never took his eyes off me. “Same here,” he mumbled. “What happened to Nathan?”

“I don’t know. Nothing. What’s he got to do with anything anyway?”

It was Evan’s turn to laugh. “Oh my God.”

“Wow,” Justin said as he gave me an incredulous look. “You basically told us you were ending things in order to be with him. You made him out to be the love of your life. And all of a sudden, you’re not ready to settle down. What changed?”

“It wasn’t all of a sudden, for your information. In case you forgot, I’ve been gone six months.”

“Oh, I remember just how long you were gone.” Justin’s gaze sharpened on mine.

His eyes shot off waves of anger, heat, and passion. I turned to Evan. His gaze was hard as well. I couldn’t help but wonder if anything else was. My body went on high alert. To say it sort of turned me on to be standing here, arguing with my guys again, would be an understatement.

I sat down on the edge of the coffee table, making a show of crossing my bare legs as slowly as I could. Just as I’d hoped, their attention immediately settled on them. I tried my hardest not to smile. “Look,” I said gently, “if you guys aren’t up to sharing me again, I understand.” It was time to raise the stakes. “I’ll just have to be less greedy I suppose.” I gave each of them my best innocent face as I lifted my eyebrows. “Which one of you wants me?”

“I do,” they said in unison. They turned and scowled at each other.

I couldn’t help it, I laughed. These two were nothing if not competitive. “So, both?”

They focused on me again and the angry looks faded, replaced by desire and something else. Tenderness? The flash of that indescribable something gave me butterflies. Rather than dwell on it, though, I pushed toward my goal of having these men agree to my crazy request. I was close—I felt it. Just a bit more boldness was necessary. I could do it.

“Listen,” Evan said, scooting forward on the couch, “I… I love…” He glanced at Justin before looking at me once more. “I love being with you. I’ve missed you. I want you.”

Justin released an irritated breath as he sat forward as well. “And I’m just supposed to sit here while you two pick up where y’all left off?” Chuckling, he shook his head. “Not happenin’.”

I could barely breathe. I was so close, I could tast
e it. “What are you saying then?” I asked quietly, my eyes on Justin.

“Forget that,” Evan said. “This is what I’m saying.” He leaned in, grabbed my face, and pulled it to his.

Before I knew it, his tongue slipped into my mouth. I moaned when he slid his arms around my waist, pulling me from the table and bringing me against his chest. Burying my fingers in his hair, our bodies pressed together. It seemed clear which of them really wanted me. Or so I thought.

Justin took hold of my hair and tugged gently, but firmly, breaking the kiss. “Enough,” he said roughly. “It’s my turn to say a few things.”

I hadn’t had an opportunity to catch my breath before he hauled me over to him. My head rested on the arm of the couch as he bent over me; my legs were draped over Evan’s lap. I wrapped my arms around Justin’s neck as our tongues caressed. There was no denying I was wet now—and Evan was about to find out for himself because he was inching his big hand up my inner thigh.

I stared at Justin as his blue gaze bore into mine. “Does this mean y’all are willing to share after all?” I asked breathlessly.

“If that’s what I have to do in order to have you,” he said. Without warning, he yanked down the top of my strapless dress. “Then I’ll do it,” he finished. He ran his tongue over each of my nipples.

I arched my back. “Oh God,” I panted. Just then, Evan’s hand made contact with my pussy. I gasped as he began to stroke me through my panties. “Does that mean you’re in too?” I asked, my eyes sliding closed.

“Not yet, but I plan to be,” he said in a voice thick with lust. He pushed my thong aside and eased two fingers into me. “Okay,” he said teasingly, “now I’m in.”

I’ll say. I contracted and released around his fingers as he slid them in and out. After so many months of drought, it wouldn’t take much to make me come. And Justin’s mouth on my nipples while Evan finger fucked me was more than enough. I worked my hips against his hand and grabbed a handful of Justin’s hair to bring his mouth closer.

“Shit,” Evan said. “You’re so tight, baby.”

Justin lifted his head. “Let me see.”

I wanted to protest at the loss of Evan’s fingers, but the void was immediately filled by Justin’s.

“Fuck yeah, you are,” he said. He looked at me and smirked. “Don’t worry, baby, we’ll loosen you up.”

All I could think was Please, and do it soon. But I was so focused on grinding my pussy against his fingers, I couldn’t form a sentence out loud.

Justin’s tongue found my nipples again as he slowly withdrew his fingers from my pussy. Evan once again took over while Justin teased my clit.

“Oh God,” I cried, trying to squeeze my thighs against the growing pressure that was building between them.

  “Spread your legs,” Evan commanded.

I obliged and he responded by quickening the pace of his fingers. “Shit,” I whispered on a ragged breath. “Harder.” My eyes fluttered shut and I started to whimper, actually whimper, from the intensity of the pleasure coursing through me. I’d known I’d craved their touch these past six months; I guess I just hadn’t known how much. Until now.

“She’s gonna come,” Evan said. “She has that look she gets.”

Justin pulled his face away from my chest. “Yeah, she’s close.”

I couldn’t even be embarrassed that these two were nonchalantly discussing my orgasm face right in front of me. Hell, they were right. I was close and I was gonna come. After pushing Justin’s head back to my breast, I settled in to ride the wave of bliss that was preparing to hit. Just as Evan fingered my pussy harder and faster, Justin rubbed my clit in the same way.

I squeezed my eyes shut as I cried out while I trembled from head to toe. The climax started between my legs and spiraled throughout my body, putting every nerve ending on hyper-alert.

Still shaken, I didn’t wait to regain my composure. Who the hell knew when that would be? The only certain thing was: I wasn’t done with them yet. Not even close. I didn’t know if the sharing thing they’d agreed to included more threesome action or not, but I would have my fun with them tonight, in any case. I didn’t feel bad. I mean, hey, they’d started it.

I climbed of off them with shaky legs as I adjusted my dress. “Take out those cocks.”

They looked at me, eyebrows raised in surprise.

I was a little surprised too. I wasn’t playing any games. “Take them out,” I repeated forcefully.

They gave each other an uncertain glance before doing as I’d ordered.

I licked my lips as I stared down at their erections, both waiting for my attention. I dropped to my knees between them and took my time driving them wild with my mouth. One cock and then the other, I swirled my tongue around the head before sucking it firmly—before pushing my open mouth down over it as far as I could. Faster and faster, I licked and sucked and their groans grew louder. My pussy was already aching again. Damn it. It was true: I was an addict where these two were concerned.

“Ah, fuck,” Justin said, panting. “You’d better stop if you don’t want this to be the main event.”

I smiled at him before turning my attention back to Evan’s cock.

He bucked his hips beneath me. “Shit,” he said, grabbing my hair. “You’re a stubborn little thing.” He finally managed to push me away and then helped me stand. “Come on.”

“Where are we going?” I asked, irritated. If they planned to take me on motorcycle rides or to an amusement park right now, I might actually be arrested on a double homicide charge before the night was up.

They hurriedly shed the rest of their clothing and all my anxiety melted away. After they’d fished condoms from their pockets, I knew it was time.

“Bedroom,” Justin said gruffly, pulling me along behind him.

Evan practically tore off my dress before throwing me on my bed. I raised my hips so he could peel my damp underwear off me. He spread my thighs apart. “Open wide, baby.” And I did. He pressed his face to my wet flesh and I sucked in a sharp breath.

“Goddamn it,” he said, pulling back just a bit. “You taste so good.” He moved to return to his former position, but Justin halted him with his arm.

“Don’t be selfish, asshole.” Justin flicked his tongue over my clit lightly and I nearly came off the bed.

I rubbed and teased my nipples as they took turns eating me out. Another orgasm was coming on strong—and unless they wanted this to be their main event, they’d better stop. I think two climaxes were all I could bear for at least a good three or four hours. A girl’s gotta have recovery time, after all. “Stop,” I finally managed to plead in a harsh whisper. “Please.”

They reluctantly pulled away and I rubbed my pussy as I marveled at how wet they’d made me. I gave them the most pitiful look I could muster. “Cock,” I said, panting. “Now.”

They smiled, looking down at me through heavy-lidded eyes as they rolled on the condoms.

I smiled too. I guess at least one threesome was in the cards and I sure as hell was going to savor every second. Evan lay down and hauled me over to straddle him.

“Hope you still have lube,” Justin said just as I began sliding my pussy down on Evan’s cock.

I glanced at him over my shoulder and arched an eyebrow. I knew exactly what he was implying, but I wanted to hear it. New Stacy was a dirty woman. An empowered, bold, filthy woman. “Why’s that?”

Justin gave me a slow, deliciously sinful smile. “Because I get your ass this time.”

  Seven

A month later, I couldn’t wipe the smile from my face as Evan walked me to my seventh-floor office after our lunch date. During the workweek, I shared three lunches with Nina and two with Evan and Justin. That had been the routine so far. Weekends were trickier, but we still managed.

Sometimes, I alternated my Saturdays and Sundays between the men, but on occasion I spent the entire weekend with just one. That never failed to leave the other one a little pissed.

No more threesomes had occurred, which saddened my body more than should have been possible. However, dating two guys—two best friends—hadn’t been as awkward as I’d feared.

And yes, this time, there were no denials. I was dating them, and they, me. I thought owning up to that fact would be scary. Instead, it was freeing.

Holding hands with Evan felt so natural, I was barely aware of the curious gazes that followed us to my office. As an account manager at Innovative Images, I’d tried hard to play up my naturally conservative, rather boring image.

It helped me be seen as more professional. Great. So never had I even dared entertain the notion of being seen at work with a man. Especially not one holding my hand as I floated on air. Especially not one who, as soon as we entered my office, pulled me to him roughly.

I widened my eyes and peeked at the door behind him. It was still ajar. “Evan,” I scolded. “Someone could see.”

He smiled as he backed me toward my desk. “Then let’s show them something interesting.”

Laughing, I shook my head. “You’re terrible.”

He began to plant kisses on my neck. “You didn’t say that last night.”

I slapped his arm and he chuckled.

“Down, boy. I work here, remember?”

Evan sighed before giving me a little pout. “One kiss.”

I rolled my eyes. “Right.” With Evan and Justin, one kiss led to many, which then led to clothes flying off and various cuss words being shouted.

“I promise.” He narrowed those hazel eyes at me. “You scared?”

“Yes,” I said with a grin.

Evan shrugged. “Too bad.” He tilted my chin and leaned down to press his lips to mine.

In one second flat, I’d parted my lips. Wrapping my arms around his waist, I felt the beginnings of an erection as he pushed his tongue into my mouth. An erection I’d love to get my hands—among other things—on.

  “Ahem.”

My heart scrambled up into my throat as I broke the kiss. Leaning to the side, I peeked around him. Julia, the art director, and Cassie, the creative director, stood in my doorway. Shit. See what happens when I bring new Stacy to work? “Uh, hi,” I said brightly as I dropped my arms from Evan’s waist and stepped around him.
