His desire sent hers through the roof, and she no longer cared how she measured up against the younger models he’d been with. A jolt of courage drove her to trail two fingers down the center of her body to toy with the lace edge of her panties.

His focus was on her, which sent her hot blood racing through her body. She slipped one finger beneath the elastic and slid across the expanse slowly, reveling in the lust behind his eyes.

By the time she stroked back up her abdomen, Bo was breathing through his mouth, his color high, his eyes glossy.

“No way do you look like you’ve had a kid.”

She beamed at the compliment, and resisted showing him her faded stretch marks. She still couldn’t believe this whole episode, who was she to ruin it with reality?

With a low growl, he crawled up beside her.

“This is crazy. I’ve never done anything like this.” She still wasn’t sure she wouldn’t wake up to find this part of a bizarre dream.

He kissed the slope of her shoulder. “I don’t sleep with the women I shoot with, but this doesn’t feel crazy. Feels damn right if you ask me.”

With his face buried in the crook of her neck, she couldn’t read the honesty in his eyes, but for whatever reason, she believed him.

“I’ve never had a one night stand.”

He lifted his head, his gaze dancing across her face before settling on hers. “Is that what this is?”

Cate’s heart beat so fast she could barely hear him. She imagined herself on the edge of a great precipice, on the verge of jumping. “Isn’t it?”

His breath came fast, brushing against her cheek as he studied her. “I don’t know.” He licked his lips. “I just want you right now. And you want me. I don’t want to stop to think about it. I don’t want you to change your mind.”

He kissed her, letting his mouth move freely against hers, she opened up to let him inside, and his entire body relaxed.

Yes it was crazy. Nothing she’d ever do if she were thinking clearly. Tomorrow she could blame the wine. Maybe blame the overactive pheromones and the sexy romance cover shoot. She’d blame Cassandra. Zoe. It didn’t matter. She’d worry about that tomorrow. For now, she had one of the sexiest men on the face of the earth planting hot kisses along her jaw and neck.

  And lower.

Her legs automatically parted, and when his warm breath washed over her, disturbing the fine peach-fuzz below her navel, she shuddered.

  “You’re beautiful all over.”

Bo stayed still, only his mouth moved over her flesh.

  “Bo please.”

“Ah, Cate.” He crawled back up to rest his forehead on hers. His eyes were a darker shade of blue, heavy lids clearly exhibiting his desire. “I don’t have a condom. I don’t suppose you…?”

Cate’s heart sunk, and she shook her head. “I don’t either.”

His smile was so sad, Cate couldn’t help imagine him as a spoiled little boy. She shook the image clear. She could not think of him as a child. Not right now.

His cock twitched from behind his fly. His length and girth stamped an impression in her hip, and she rubbed against it.

He sighed. “I’m sorry I’m not prepared.”

She grinned. “If you were, I’d be wondering why.”

“Good point.” He chuckled, then leaned up on his elbows to look at her. “And as much as I want to bury myself inside your sexy body…” He twirled one blond curl around his finger. “I don’t want to rush this. Keith won’t be gone nearly long enough for me to get my fill of you.”

With his hair sexily mussed around his temples, and his bedroom smile, his handsome face was even more attractive. She traced his lips with one finger, and wondered if she’d find this particular smile on any of his photographs. How is it that lying with an extremely attractive man somehow made her feel like a beautiful woman?

She slid the arch of her foot along the curve of his calf, then hooked it behind his knee. “I guess it’s a good thing I’m on vacation.”

His eyes sparkled devilishly. “It’s a very good thing. Are you going to buy souvenirs for your—” His mischievous grin turned serious. In a flash he was on his feet and pulling a shirt over his head. “Don’t move. I’ll be right back.”

“What?” She leaned up on her elbows to watch, as he grabbed the hotel key-card from the table. “Where are you going?”

“Three minutes. Five tops. Don’t move.”

And then he was gone. Cate was too shocked to do anything other than stare at the door. Her vision still blurry, her lips still tingling from his kisses, and she was suddenly alone. She flopped back onto the bed. Had she gone crazy? Was nymphomania a temporary condition? She swore if she didn’t orgasm in the next five minutes she’d implode.

  And Bo left.

Cate groaned in frustration. It was probably for the best. Although she’d be mortified when he returned to continue the shoot, she was mature enough to know that nothing could have come from a sexual encounter with Bo Gaddis. Nothing but regret. She’d already proven to be less than professional in this cover shoot. After a few minutes tamping down her desire, and a few more wondering where he could have gone in such a hurry, she reached down to fasten her jeans. At the first touch, her sex surged with renewed and increased need. She changed her mind and slid her fingers beneath her underwear. Her sex was hot. Swollen and moist. She dipped two fingers down and stroked her clit, jerking at the first direct touch. She pinched her eyes shut, imagining Bo’s hands on her. His mouth.

Rather than fasten her jeans, she shoved her hand further down beneath them. Her toes already tingled. Her pussy already pulsed. Each stroke against her wet folds sent a little current of excitement through her body. Without wasting time pulling down her jeans, Cate used the limited space to dip two fingers down to stroke herself. Deep movements, with a little extra attention on her erect clit.

Using her free hand to shove aside her bra, she pinched and tweaked one nipple. She moaned. Low and long, echoing in the quiet hotel room. A chill washed over her. Goosebumps chased it, then the first wave of pleasure began in her sex then rippled out to consume the rest of her body. The orgasm seemed to last forever, filling her with an enormous relief.

  “Holy shit.”

Cate, still pulsing with aftershocks, peeled open her eyes at the voice. Bo stood beside the bed, clearly enthralled with what he’d witnessed. She had no idea how long he’d been standing there, but she surprised herself by not running for cover in embarrassment. Instead, a naughty grin spread across her face. “You came back.”

Bo dropped to his knees, dragging her to the edge of the bed until his face was buried between her thighs. “I told you I’d be back in five minutes.” He wrapped his hand around her wrist, and slowly pulled her hand free from her pussy. Before she could ask where he’d gone, he brought her hand to his face and breathed against it. The scent of her juices must have pleased him, because he growled like a hungry lion before licking her fingers clean.

“I remembered that little drug store on the corner, so I ran down to buy a box of condoms. I had no idea what I was missing up here. That was the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen. God, Cate. You’re beautiful when you come. I can’t wait to see the pleasure on your face when I bring you to that peak.”

His tongue lapped up every crevice of her hand, and he drew each finger into his mouth for an additional sponging.

Cate rolled her head back to stare at the ceiling. This wasn’t happening. She did not just masturbate in front of a man. Bo Gaddis was not making love to her hand.

She lifted her head again, bringing him into focus. He sure as hell looked real.

  “Come to me.”

Keeping her hand twined with his, he crawled up to cover her. She pulled him down for another kiss. His tongue made danced in her mouth, his lips gentle but demanding, his hands moving in perfect harmony with the rest of his body to make her feel his kiss from head to toe. Like two teenagers discovering sex, they were tangled in each other
. She only pulled away from his mouth to breathe and whisper encouragement and praise in his ear.

He looked down to grin at her. When she smiled back, he again covered her lips with his.

Music. A jaunty tune, even muffled by the bedding rang clear through the room.

Cate bit her lip, her amusement clear.

His head rose, and he grinned up at her. “They can leave a message.” He went back to his seduction of her shoulder, ignoring the persistent ringing.

Before it even stopped, there was a pounding on the door.

“I know you’re in there, Bo. I can hear your phone.”

  Chapter Four

With a giggle, Cate pushed Bo away, clutching the panels of the shirt against her chest and ran into the bathroom, leaving him to answer the door. Her body hummed; still on a high from her orgasm, yet protesting the interruption. After splashing some cold water on her cheeks, she touched up her mascara with a shaky hand, and was somehow able to gloss her lips even though they were stretched into a permanent grin.

There wasn’t much she could do to her hair. The curls from this morning had drooped into waves, that Bo’s fingers had ravaged it until she looked like a woman who’d spent her day in bed.

Cate chuckled, and fanned herself. Yes it was crazy, but she wouldn’t get too deeply involved. Just sex. Mutual orgasms to pass the time. A one night stand. People had them all the time. Surely it was possible to have some no strings attached sex. And then he’d be gone.

When her color was somewhat normal, and her nipples had gone back into hiding, Cate re-buttoned Bo’s oxford shirt and joined the men, floating on air. One of them had switched on the stereo again, and a rhythm and blues song filled the room.

“Oh yeah. You look great. I love what you did with your hair.” Keith had his equipment back in place, and was once again attaching a camera to the tripod. He peeked into the viewfinder before snapping a picture just as she reached up to her hair. “Very sexy.”

She glanced at Bo, who stood by the bed. The bed was again covered with the red silk. Bo, still shirtless, and a naughty look on his face, looked like every woman’s dream feast.

“I’ll take credit for the hair.”

Heat flooded her cheeks. She was rooted to the carpet, until Bo crooked his finger and she was back on that cloud, floating toward him like some entranced sex-starved slave.

“Now Keith, I don’t want any interruptions.” He raised an eyebrow at his cameraman, then pulled her into his arms.

“PG-13, man. Keep it clean. We want to be able to use these shots.” He turned the music up a notch.

“Now, where were we?” Bo whispered, his breath hot in her ear.

The humming returned. Her skin was ultra-sensitive, completely in tune with each touch, each move he made. “I don’t think we can keep going with where we were,” she whispered back, taking his earlobe between her teeth in a teasing tug. “Not with company.”

A low groan rumbled in his chest. “But soon. I’ll get you naked. Underneath me.” He had a way of speaking beneath the music, and directly into her ear, so she wasn’t worried about Keith overhearing.

“Yes.” Her sex pulsed with need.

  Click.

He made quick work of the buttons on the shirt, and continued to whisper sexy promises. “You know where we’d be right now if I had my way, don’t you?” His fingertips brushed over her lacy bra. “I’d be buried deep inside you. You’d have your legs wrapped around my hips.”

  “Yes.”

  Click.

“Everything about you turns me on. The way you look. Your smile. Your intelligence. The way you smell…the way you taste…”

She arched against him. “I want to taste you.” She kept her voice low, though she wanted to beg for his touch. Voicing her desires only stirred them further.

  “Oh God. Please do.”

“I’ll wrap my lips around you. Suck you deep into my throat.”

  “Fuck.”

She smiled, and licked a dirty message against his neck. “Then I’ll crawl onto your lap. Lower myself onto you…”

“You’re trying to kill me.” He shoved her shirt from her shoulder, and dipped down to kiss each curve revealed.

With a bit of déjà vu, she realized that he’d managed to unfasten her jeans. He slid them down her thighs, his pace not nearly as disciplined as this morning, but still slow enough to drive her crazy. She stepped from the denim and knelt on the bed, straddling his lap, teasing his arousal with her heat. Rubbing her silk-covered mound against his erection, straining against the fly of his slacks. She’d never before felt like a wanton woman. She was sure that if he didn’t get inside her, she’d combust.

Bo ducked his head and nibbled on the curve of her breast. She cradled him against her, throwing her head back in pure abandon. He released the clasp on her bra, but held it together.

“Okay?” He met her gaze. “Just stay up against me, and we won’t have any nipple shots.”

  Oh. The camera. That’s right.

She nodded, and he kissed one bra strap before sliding the garment away. “Stay with me.” He pressed her against his chest, until her breasts flattened. “Good. Good. Ah, Jesus, it’s torture not being able to look at you.”

  “Soon.”

“Soon. I’ll be inside you. Feeling your warmth surround me.” His thumb caressed the plumped out sides of her breasts, and she had to stop herself from pulling away to free her nipple for his touch. “When we’re alone. And I can make you scream.”

  Cate groaned.

Keith must have said something, but all she heard was Bo’s response, “Don’t worry about it, Keith. Just take the pictures.”

She tried to pull herself out of the fog, so she could remember that this was a job. God forbid she did something to embarrass herself on film. But it was damn hard to concentrate with Bo’s hands and mouth on her. While she was occupied, he tucked a corner of the silky sheet around her hips.

He claimed her mouth. His tongue possessed her, dipping into her mouth in an erotic rhythm. With a flick of his hips, he’d turned them until she was beneath him, still pressed up against his chest, the silk now tangled around their legs. He spread her hair into a fan around her head and smiled down at her. “Beautiful.”

She trailed her fingers along the slope of his shoulder, and traced each bulging muscle in his arms. His erection dug into her hip, throbbing enough that she could feel his need through his pants. “I think you’re overdressed.”

He grinned. “Not this time. Just shirtless for me. They want your skin, not mine.”

“Oh.” She pouted, then hooked an ankle around his thigh, and rubbed against his sex. “I thought maybe you had really deformed legs, and were too embarrassed to get them on film.”

His laugh vibrated the bed. “Maybe you’re right. I’ve got horribly knobby knees.”

She snickered, and kissed his throat. “You mean I just found your one weakness?”

He threaded his fingers through hers, brought her hand to his mouth, and kissed each knuckle. His eyes never left hers, and Cate sank into the depths.

“I think I’m looking at her.”

His words sent shivers down her spine, and a swelling need to her core. She reached up to cradle his skull. “Soon.”

  “I can’t wait.”

He released her hand to slide his palm up her arm, and over her shoulder to stroke her neck. “Sorry, beautiful. I need to slow it down.”

  “We’ve got all night.”

“Hm, are you inviting me to stay?” He nibbled a path from her jaw to her shoulder. Cate gripped his back as every nerve ending flared to life under his patient seduction.

“Unless you have somewhere to be. I’ve got a big bed to share here.”

“Can I use your toothbrush?” He licked her teeth.

Cate couldn’t remember the last time she had so much fun in bed with a man. “I think we can call down to the front desk for one.”

He kissed her leisurely, only st
opping to look into her eyes, or to move a strand of her hair. He whispered endearments that made her smile, and some that made her moan with desire. Cate had never before felt as treasured and desirable as she did with Bo. It was easy to forget that it’s his job to be sexy, and to make his partner feel the same. Cate ground her hips against his erection to remind herself that at least part of this was real. He wanted her.

She grabbed his ass, the tight muscles flexing beneath the silk and his pants as he pressed against her in a seductive rhythm.

  “How’s it looking, Keith?”

Cate blinked, bringing Bo back into focus. Although he spoke to the photographer, he looked at her. And there was no mistaking the lust in his eyes.

“Looks great. I’ve got enough for this scene. We can change wardrobe now, but I was told not to interrupt.”

“We won’t need to change wardrobe. I think we’re done here.”

  “But—”

“You can just leave your equipment. I’ll pack it up for you.” He kissed her nose, and Cate was again aware of the click of the camera.

“But I didn’t get any singles for stock mock ups.”

“Cate didn’t sign up for stock. I’ll take good care of your stuff. I’ll even deliver it to your studio on Monday morning.”

“Don’t you want to take a look at these before I go?”

“I brought my laptop. Email them to me.”

“Why do I get the feeling that you’re trying to get rid of me?”

Bo smiled crookedly. “Because you’re a smart man.”

  “But—”

  “Goodbye, Keith.”

Cate smiled, her heartbeat speeding up in anticipation of being alone with Bo. He smiled back, and traced her lower lip with his thumb.

“Are you sure you know what you’re doing?” Keith’s voice dropped a decibel, and Bo finally looked at him, while Cate closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Would the photographer talk sense into him? Remind him that she wasn’t a twenty-something runway model?

“I’m pretty sure I can figure it out, but thanks, bro.”

“You know what I mean. What about…you know…your rule?”
