A Week with a Vampire [Vampire Love and Lust 1] (Siren Publishing Menage and More) Page 25

by Dani April

“We have a lot of city blocks to cover and only two hours left,” he reminded her. “In my condition, we would never make it.” He looked expectantly at the eastern horizon. “I am going to see my first sunrise in a thousand years.”

She laid her head down next to his on the bench and gave up then. “And I am going to watch it with you, my darling,” she said.

  Chapter Twenty-Four

The eastern horizon was starting to turn pink. Rebecca craned her neck and looked up at the sky. There was not a cloud in sight. It was going to be a brilliant sunrise.

She had not slept all night. She kept shoving and pushing Peter, checking on him, making sure he was still with her. He moved in response to her attention, but he was growing weak. He could hardly open his eyes, and when he did open them, it was with effort and he could not keep them open longer than a few seconds before they fluttered shut again.

“Are you in pain, darling?” she asked him.

“No.” He shook his head faintly. “There’s no pain…only lost…everything is getting further away. I can’t really feel anything now.”

She wanted to cover him with her body and use herself as a shield for him. She wanted to protect him from the disaster to come. There were no more tears left to fall. She had shed them all in the night. Only a sense of desperation was left.

“Can you still feel that I love you, darling?” she asked him.

“Yes. I will feel that forever.”

She kissed his lips again. He returned her kiss.

The sky grew brighter. She wasn’t for sure when it would start to get bad for him. Technically she supposed the sun hadn’t come up over the horizon yet. But it was sure getting close now. She kept checking on him for signs that the growing light might be causing him pain, but there were none. He looked placid. She knew he was ready.

The city was coming to life around them. Out on Fulton Street, the sound of traffic and a few car horns came from the distance. Rebecca could feel the stir of a new day dawning all around them. Millions of people were waking up to life and a new day, while she sat there on the bench waiting and was about to lose the only thing that had ever mattered to her in life.

Next was the sound of the birds. They had awakened. They sounded happy and full of hope at the approach of a new day. Endless possibilities awaited everyone in the world, and yet her world was about to come to an end. Rebecca felt her breathing become heavy and constricted. She was steeling herself to accept whatever happened next, to accept whatever she saw and experienced in the next few minutes. Her wait was about over, come what may.

“If it gets too bright, darling,” she pleaded with him. “Take the sweater and use it to cover your eyes.”

“Nonsense,” he replied. “I am going to enjoy this sunrise.”

Now he had his eyes open and was back to taking everything in like the wide-awake child once more. He reached out for her, and she caught his hands in hers.

“Will you help me to stand up?” he asked her.

Slowly, she helped him to stand on unsteady feet. They faced due east and waited. Slowly the world of Golden Gate Park came to life around them. Up on the path, a couple of joggers ran by. Light was starting to flood down through the tree branches and shine off the water of the lake like the sparkle of diamonds.

The new sun peeked over the eastern horizon, angry and fierce in its glory. The beams of light were golden, turning the underside of a few passing clouds pink. The more beautiful it became the more terrifying the surge of adrenaline rushing through Rebecca. Here was a vampire, her vampire, standing in the middle of the park embracing the light of the rising sun.

“My God, Rebecca…” Peter gasped as he looked up at the sky. “It is so beautiful. I forgot how much I missed this.”

He turned to her. She reached up to him. They embraced and shared a long kiss. They whispered their love in each other’s ears. She had never felt closer to another or more alive as she had at that moment and knew she never would feel that way again even if she lived the life span of a vampire. This was the one moment in life she had been living for, and all was going to be decided for her right now.

Then he fell backward, barely making it down to the park bench. He was in her arms. The last of his strength had just fled him. There was a peaceful smile on his face curving his beautiful lips. He closed his eyes, and his head fell back to the top of the wooden bench. His whole body went still in her arms.

Over the treetops to the east, the giant fireball of the sun came rising up. Off in the park somewhere, the sound of children laughing could be heard. Rebecca held Peter’s body in her arms. She knew without question the vampire was dead. She kissed him on his forehead.

“I loved you…you stupid vampire,” she told him and refused to let him go as sobs racked her body. “I loved you so much…”

Peter opened his eyes and coughed, throwing up ugly bile from his throat. Rebecca roused herself quickly. She hurriedly pulled him back into her arms and forced his prone body into an upright position on the bench to prevent him from choking. He was taking deep breathes. His face had broken out into a sweat, and he looked like he had been through hell. But somehow, and Rebecca wasn’t sure why, she knew this was a positive sign and a good thing. This was even a great thing.

After a few minutes of struggling in her arms, he was able to sit upright under his own power. He still couldn’t talk. His throat was dry, and a rasping sound came out of it. He pointed past her. She couldn’t figure out what he wanted. Then she looked down to the seat of the bench next to her. He was pointing at the half-finished bottle of water she had brought with her from the apartment last night.

“You want this?” she asked incredulously as she picked up the bottle and offered it to him. He gratefully took it from her hands. “But, Peter, you can’t…”

She didn’t have time to finish. He had already tipped it to his lips and was swallowing healthy quantities. The water ran down his chin as he tilted the bottle back and finished what was left of it in several giant swallows. He was like a dehydrated man coming out of the desert.

“Peter, vampires can’t drink water,” she reminded him. Then the impact of her words hit her.

He looked up at her with eyes that were growing with newfound alertness every second. They weren’t the same eyes she had gazed into last night. They were no longer the same eyes that had terrorized her and hypnotized her in the desert. They were still blue and beautiful and deep. But something was different about them. Something about his eyes was now more familiar.

“Vampires don’t drink water.” He gasped as he wiped the water falling down off his chin away. “Men drink water…”

He got up off the park bench under his own strength for the first time. She stood up with him, and together they looked up into the dawn sky over the park. He had to shield his eyes because he had not seen the sun in over a thousand years.

Then she realized what it was about his eyes. They were human.

“Peter!” she screamed at him and almost knocked him down when she threw her weight against him. He was still weak and almost fell down to the ground. “Is this what I think it is? Are you what I think you are now?”

He nodded. For once he was feeling just as confused as she was. Together they looked at each other in wonder. “I’m human again,” he told her.

“Oh my God!” she cried and held onto him tight. “How do you feel?”

He thought for only a few seconds. “Hungry,” he said.

“And the sun?” she questioned him again.

He looked up at it, then back down at her. “It’s pretty damn bright,” he told her. “I think I’ll need to wear sunglasses for a while.”

“Open your mouth,” she commanded him. She ran her fingers along his lips, and when he opened his mouth, she probed inside. She felt his teeth. They were slightly crooked in a couple of places, no doubt because they didn’t have dentistry back in the eleventh century. But they were no longer fangs.<

“Look me in my eyes,” she told him. He stared down at her. His eyes were beautiful, and because she was in love with him, they held a lot of power over her. However, she realized they no longer held the power to steal into her mind and bend her will to his. “And my mind?” she asked him. “You can’t see what I’m thinking anymore?”

“I don’t have a clue.” He smiled at her and shook his head.

“It is true!” she shouted for joy. “You’re not a vampire anymore, Peter!”

He took her in his arms, and they shared their first kiss as a man and a woman. When she opened her mouth to his, she tasted him. There was nothing inside to drug her, but damn it he tasted good anyway. He tasted like a man.

“Will you do something for me, sweetheart?” he asked her as they broke their long kiss.

“Anything,” she told him. “Just name it.”

  “Will you buy me breakfast?”

She laughed and took him back into her arms for another kiss.

“I love you,” he told her.

  “I love you,” she replied.

When Rebecca and Peter returned to her apartment, it was later that morning and after she had bought the biggest breakfast in the Bay City for him.

They didn’t waste any time once they were home. They were already kissing and undressing each other by the time they got the bedroom door closed behind them. This was their first time together as man and woman. Their hands roamed each other in exploration, fingers caressing and fondling new places. The discovery of what it was like to watch his cock rise erect along her belly without having to fear it or the contents held inside his balls was wonderful for Rebecca.

She touched him everywhere, examining him and marveling at the feel of his flesh under her touch. When it was his turn she let him study her body and travel across its valleys and soft curves feeling for the first time what it was like to touch her as a man. Parting her thighs for his eager inspection she allowed his fingers to journey over her pussy and part her lips gently.

Naked above the covers of her bed, Rebecca spread her legs for Peter to enter her body for the first time as a man. She felt his entrance and sighed with satisfaction. He took a few exploratory thrusts as if he was afraid of going too deep, afraid of hurting her.

He lowered himself to her and they shared a long kiss of their lips, each using lots of tongue and probably lots of saliva, too. Now they didn’t have to worry.

“I finally get to have you,” she whispered up to him.

“I need you,” he gasped as he started to move.

He thrust his cock into her desperately and repeatedly. He was hammering her so hard and fast she didn’t know if she would have time to build her own pleasure.

“Take it easy, baby,” she cooed into his ear. “You have all the time in the world now to enjoy me.”

A sweet and warm orgasm soon spread between her thighs and into her belly as his cock pounded her without mercy and he climaxed long and hard inside her, pouring his warm seed down her canal.

He fell off her onto his back, and she crawled on top of him, hiking a leg across his naked hips. He fell asleep as soon as his head hit her pillows. Although she was exhausted from all she had just been through, she would not allow herself to sleep right away. Instead, she lay awake and listened to the sound of him breathing beneath her. Yes, he was actually breathing. She moved her cheek over his open mouth and nostrils and felt the glorious warm breath of her human lover. His breath even smelled fresh and pure, like that of a child. He had been reborn again through some miracle of the vampire virus that had infected him for so many centuries.

She bent down to his chest. It was rising and falling under her ear. She listened and did not have to listen for long before she detected a loud and strong beating emanating from under his rib cage. For all the tortures of the night he had just lived through, the naked man sleeping beneath her was still the most beautiful she had ever seen. His muscles still looked strong and healthy. She looked down between his legs. Even in his sleep another powerful erection was swelling his cock. Her pussy was already wet and ready for another bout with him later.

When he woke up, she wouldn’t let him off the bed. She climbed on top of him and gently inserted his swollen member into her damp pussy. She rode him hard and aggressively, taking out all of her passions, all of her fears and frustrations of the previous months in that one long fuck of her man. He held onto her hips and let her prolong their shared pleasure.

He sat up in bed with her on his lap, his cock inserted deep inside her body. In each other’s arms they shared another long kiss. She could hardly get enough of him and wouldn’t let him come up for air. Now she was on top and could control the tempo of their love making, bringing them both close but then back down again at the appropriate moment to prolong their shared pleasure. She locked her legs behind his back and they began grinding against each other. Both of them had been driven crazy with a pent up need that could only now be completely fulfilled.

Again when she could feel him getting close she calmed him and took control, lowering them back down in their level of passion and restraining the ultimate climax, allowing it to continue to build in the air between them. She now heard moans escape his throat under her kiss, and she was determined to ride him as hard as he had ridden her. Her pussy was slick and wet and already her muscles had started to bunch together between her legs, drawing him inside deeper and causing the breath to leave her body.

Even with the overpowering feeling building to a crescendo between her thighs she refused to let up and held them back from the brink, but all the while kept riding him, grinding into him with a desperate need for his penetration, a urgent need for him to keep filling her body over and over again as she jockeyed him to an unbelievable climax. Suddenly her bedroom was spinning in circles before her eyes and it was as if she was back on vampire blood once again, but this time her maddening climax was merely the product of natural human lust and not a supernatural drug, not a thing to be ashamed of but one to exult in. She had never felt so human or so like a woman as she did at that moment with her legs spread around the body of the man she loved. She had lived for this moment and waited for it and worked to make it happen and now at last it had come for her and she was a woman in love, fucking the man who loved her. Finally when she could not take the flow of sensations any longer, she let loose with her screams, and orgasm after orgasm rent her body, nearly bending her in two as she rode above him. She reached behind her and cupped his tight balls in her hand. This was a signal for him, and he let a stream of his own orgasm flow deep inside her loins.

“You’re a beautiful man, my darling,” she told him quietly as she rocked him in her arms, “and I love you.”

  “That’s all I need. That’s all I’ve ever needed.”

“Swear that you’ll never let me go. Swear that even as a man you’ll be as strong as the vampire.”

“I swear it to you, Rebecca.”

“Thank you, Peter,” she kissed his lips once more, tasting the new flavor of her human lover. “I belong to you now, darling.”

She lay back into the covers of her bed still mounted on top. His cock still half hard and buried inside her pussy sent another orgasmic shiver up her spine as she fondled his body beneath her own. She knew she truly loved this man, because no matter how long she lived she would never be able to get enough of being near him like this.

They fell asleep naked in each other’s arms still above the bed covers. When they awoke, it was the next morning. Night was no longer their time. They would live by day.

The next week, Rebecca took a leave of absence from her job. Actually she didn’t ever plan to return. She and Peter flew back to Las Vegas and the Luxor Hotel where they had first met. The next day they were married in the chapel.

Her family had protested, wanting Rebecca to hold the wedding in the city where they could have friends and family attend. But she had held out against their protests. There w
as only one place in the world for her and Peter to make an official start to their new life, and it was in the same place where they had their first terrifying meeting more than a year prior.

“Where do you want to go for the honeymoon, darling?” he asked her after they had recited their vows.

“There’s a beach in Australia.” A wicked grin came to her face. “I already called Ian. He and Tex and Ramos are waiting for us.”

Peter returned her smile. “Now I wonder what all five of us could find to do down there on a honeymoon.”

“We’ll figure it out as we go, darling,” she told him. “We all have our whole lives ahead of us now. Let’s not waste any more time in living them.”
