3 Sleuths, 2 Dogs, 1 Murder (The Sleuth Sisters)

“We’re sleuths, and we’re sisters. It makes sense, doesn’t it?” Ignoring Barbara’s tight lips I went on, “I made some sample logos up, so you can choose the one you like best.” I made a little joke. “I already know which one Faye will like.” They said nothing, so I went on, “It’s important to have a brand nowadays, so people recognize right away who you are.”
“No changes.” The words came out of Barbara’s mouth like bullets.
“But if you—”
A look from Faye, half warning, half plea, stopped me. Apparently Baby Sister isn’t allowed to have opinions or input. I’m supposed to look cute and remain silent, like when we were kids.
They’ll come around, though. I am exactly what the agency needs, though it’s hard for them to admit it. I’ll work on them, but I won’t be pushy about it. I’m just not that kind of person.

Sleuth Sisters #3: Murder in the Boonies (Working Title)
The abrupt disappearance of the renters at the Sleuth Sisters’ family farm presents Faye with the chance to do something she’s always dreamed of: start a draft horse rescue. The circumstances surrounding the move are strange, though, and Faye, Barb, and Retta begin to suspect that at least some of the family members didn’t leave voluntarily.
Balancing a menagerie of animals with tracking down clues as to where the man, his wife, and her three daughters might have gone, the sleuths uncover a series of surprises that lead to dangers they never anticipated. As those dangers grow, the sisters—and ultimately everyone in the surrounding area—are plunged into deadly peril.
