  I yell down the beach at her, “Poor thing, are you sexually flustered?” Teasing her is just too much fun.

  Sprinting down the beach, I catch up with her.

  Zak and Jacob are running right behind me, “You girls got any plans tonight?” Zak asks maneuvering around to run beside Brooklyn.

  Sliding my eyes from Jacob to Zak, in between breaths I answer, “Not sure yet, I’ll text my boyfriend and see if he is up for a bar crawl tonight at ‘The Strand’.”

  “Hell Yeah! I am down, let’s get Knox on board!” Brooklyn squeals excitedly beside me. Grabbing my arm and grinning ear to ear, “I can find myself a hot ass cowboy!”

  “I’ll text Kayden as soon as we get back and work my magic on him,” Brooklyn bounces on her toes, bursting with excitement. Rolling my eyes at her, I speed up, leaving her in my dust.

  ~~~
  Speed walking towards the beach house we wave goodbye to Zak and Jacob. It was fun running with them, but my legs are like Jello now.
  I definitely got a good workout in. Nothing compares to running on the beach, but my glutes are burning!
  Checking my voice mail while I strip my socks and sneakers off, I’m thrilled when I hear a message from the movers informing me they’ll be here within the next few hours.
  I cannot wait to have my car back along with all of my clothes and shoes.
  My lips instantly form a smile when I see a new text message alert from Kayden.
  Kayden:
  Goin 2 wrk out 4 about 2 hrs aftr wrk b in Galveston bout 7 countin dwn mins til I have my hands on ur fine ass again! ;)
  I perched on the sofa sending a reply.
  Me:
  Snds good! B & I just went for a jog. Movers b here soon goin out 4 lunch n I wanna check out gyms find a kickboxing class… mmm hot, sweaty…can’t wait 2 c u xoxo ;)
  I pull my bottom lip in between my teeth as I visualize Kayden working out. The sweat glistening all over his ripped, chiseled body, as his long, toned legs stride across the treadmill. His muscular arms bulging while lifting weights.
  A small pang of jealousy ripples through me as I imagine women in the gym ogling my boyfriend. I hit send then distract myself with my laptop, skimming over my emails.
  My inbox is filled with messages from friends back in L.A. wondering how things are going in Galveston. I respond quickly to everyone attaching a cute picture of Brooklyn and me sitting by the campfire last night.
  Facebook and Twitter had plenty of comments and tweets. We got a tad tipsy last night and posted a few pictures of us all hanging out by the fire drinking.
  It will come as no surprise to find them all over the gossip blog sites. For once I won’t mind, I would much prefer to see them everywhere, instead of my Logan drama plastered all over the place.
  Everyone is still in shock that I’m dating Kayden Knox. I, myself, am still in shock. I pinch myself daily to make sure I’m not dreaming.
  I go to my bookmarks and pull up Tinsel Town Blog’s website. It’s the hottest blog for everything celebrity and what’s happening in Los Angeles.
  No shocker, they’re a ton of articles about Logan, myself and Kayden.
  One story was in relation to Logan being in Houston, “Logan Sanders flies to Houston! We see a love triangle forming! Will Savannah Livingston pick Logan or Kayden?”
  There’s another about Kayden and me. They took the pictures from the Envy party and one from my twitter account of us last night. We’re the main feature, a big article describing our new blossoming relationship. “Even with Logan Sanders flying into Texas to try and win Savannah Livingston’s heart back, Kayden and Savannah seem to still be going strong. Check out the photos they tweeted last night. These two lovebirds haven’t let Logan being in town strain their fresh new relationship.”
  Deciding not to drive myself insane reading complete trash all day, I get ready to go into town. I quickly dress in blue jeans, cowgirl boots, tank top and my favorite brown leather jacket. Throwing my hair up into a ponytail and adding a little bit of lip gloss, mascara, and shimmer eye shadow, I’m good to go.
  While I’m getting a bottle of water from the fridge, I hear a loud knock at the door. I burst with excitement when I open the door, and I’m greeted by the movers.
  I love my dad’s car, but I really miss my Audi.
  I instruct the movers to leave all the boxes in the living room for us to unpack when we get back…I’m dreading unpacking.
  Brooklyn finally appears from her room wearing leopard peep toe ankle boots, black skinny jeans, hot pink V-neck tee, and black leather jacket. Her hair is styled in a side ponytail full of long wavy curls.
  The way she’s dressed you’d think we’re on our way to the club, not to lunch and gym hunting.
  Eyeing her up and down, I let out a whistle, “Well look at you Miss Thang. Plannin’ on man huntin’ in between gym huntin’?”
  Rolling her eyes, she looks at me like I have two heads, “Seriously, Savannah. Gym and man hunting go together. It’s one of the reasons I work out, the gym is crawling with buff hotties.”
  “Well we’ll add scoping out gyms with hot guys to the list. Okay?” I laugh, grabbing my purse off of the coffee table.
  Having a one track mind, Brooklyn barely hears a word I say because she instantly spots the boxes in the middle of the living room, “Ohh, I am soooo excited to finally have all my shoes!” Brooklyn shrieks bursting with excitement, she tears open one of the boxes marked, Brooklyn’s Shoe Heaven…FRAGILE! Damage the box and you DIE!
  I could not help the laughing fit that took over me after reading the big, bold sharpie written message on the box when the movers brought it in.
  She’s such a freak.
  I point at the box, “Seriously Brooklyn, you put fragile on your shoes? I believe that is only for things made of glass?” The sarcasm in my voice is unmistakable, but she doesn’t notice, or just doesn’t care.
  Pursing her lips, she slides her gaze from her box full of stilettos up to me, “I know how these movers can be! I’ve watched enough movies in my lifetime to know how careless they are with other people’s belongings. So, I left a nice warning on pretty much every box we have.” She says matter-of-factly.
  “You. Are. Crazy? Well your shoes arrived in one piece, so are you finally ready to go. I’m starving!” My stomach is growling, begging me to feed it.
  “Yep, all set!” She grabs her purse off the table as we head out the door. “Are we taking my Jeep, or your car?”
  I quickly fish my keys out of my purse, jingling them in front of Brooklyn, “Definitely my car! I have been dying to drive her again!”
  We’re running down the stairs towards my car when a delivery van pulls up at the end of my driveway. It says Trudy’s Flowers and Candy’s along the side of it.
  A man jumps out of the van, walks around to the back and pops open the double doors.
  Brooklyn pokes me with her elbow as she watches the deliver guy pull out a vase of roses, “Looks like Knox sent you some more flowers! Girl you landed the freakin’ jackpot with that one.”
  I can’t stop smiling; I swear he is just too freakin’ sweet! I let out a light chuckle, “I bet the florist loves it, especially with this economy. He’ll know my address by heart if Kayden keeps this up.”
  The guy approach’s us with a big smile stretched across his face. “Afternoon ladies,” he drawls, handing me a bouquet of pink roses and a tiny white box with their shops logo printed on it in gold, with a red bow tied on top.
  “Hello,” Brooklyn and I say simultaneously. Signing for the delivery, I thank the delivery guy, giving him a generous tip.
  I run back up to the house and put my flowers in water.
  I can hear Brooklyn blasting Taylor Swift’s Red while waiting for me in the car.
  Opening the box, I find a variety of chocolate covered strawberries; they look delicious! I set them in the fridge to keep them fresh, and retrieve the card tucked in the flowers.
  To My Sweet
Savannah,
  It’s hard to believe that just one week ago, the most amazing woman on the planet gave me the best night of my life. You, Savannah, have brought me so much happiness in such a short amount of time. I hope you have a wonderful day. I cannot wait to see you tonight.
  ~Kayden
  I set the card on the kitchen counter beside the vase of roses. Pulling out my cell phone, I snap a picture of myself beside the pink roses. Typing in a quick ‘thank you’ I send the picture to Kayden. Hoping it will put a smile on his face to match the one on mine right now.
  Brooklyn and I decided to have lunch at the Tiki Bar, which is located at The Spot in Galveston. It overlooks the ocean, and it has a fun tropical look and feel to the place; with a grass hut style roof and a Tiki hut style bar inside. We decided to sit outside on the deck to eat since the sun is warm, and there is a gentle breeze blowing.
  We spent the next two hours drinking Pina Colada’s from cut coconuts with little umbrellas in them, they were so cute I had to tweet a picture!
  It feels great to just sit and relax with Brooklyn and chat about nothing and everything. Things have been so hectic lately we rarely have any free time to spend together just her and me.
  After lunch, we headed out to look at a few different kickboxing classes. I found one that isn’t too far from our beach house, with classes three times a week. The staff is really nice, and everything in the gym is top of the line.
  Brooklyn flirted with one of the trainers the entire time I was getting my tour and filling out my sign up form. I’m excited to be start classes again.
  I cannot wait to get back in the gym and kick the shit out of something just so I could picture it as Logan’s face.
  It’s almost five by the time we pull into the driveway. Jacob and Zak are on the beach playing volleyball. Seeing them reminds me that I still have to ask Kayden if he is up for a bar crawl tonight down at the Sea Wall.
  There are a ton of bars along the water and the Pleasure Pier has food, rides and carnival games. Brooklyn and I spent almost every night down at the pier when we were in Galveston last summer.
  I figure we can have dinner at the pier, go on some of the rides, and then hit the bars. We can let loose and have fun before Brooklyn has to fly back to Vancouver. Plus, she’s itching to find a guy to show her a good time.
  I pull out my cell and send a text to Kayden. I hope he sees it since he’s supposed to be working out right now. “I just texted Kayden to see if he is up for going to the pier tonight and doing a bar crawl with Zak and Jacob.”
  “Oh, awesome! I hope he says yes because I’m in desperate need of some fun. I am going to be stuck on set all week, too busy to even think about having fun!”
  Jogging up the stairs I glance over my shoulder at Brooklyn, “Why don’t we change and see if Jacob and Zak are up for us joining in on their game? It’ll help pass the time until Kayden gets done at the gym.”
  “Sounds good. I’ll go get changed and meet you down at the beach.” We head inside, tossing our purses on the table by the door.
  Walking over to the stack of boxes, I look around until I find one labeled Savannah’s workout clothes. Thank God Brooklyn is OCD with packing. She has each box labeled and organized separately; making it easy to locate everything, rather than having to tear through every box.
  I dig out a pair of yoga pants, a racer back tank top, and a hoodie. I dress quickly, opting for my flip flops since we’ll be playing in the sand. I adjusted my ponytail before heading into the kitchen to grab a bottle of water.
  I’m ready to whoop some ass.
  Brooklyn is already down smacking the volleyball over the net to Zak.
  My phone starts blasting Ginuwine’s Pony. Kayden’s ringtone he programmed into my phone last night, of course he was tipsy when he picked that song.
  I can’t help but smile as a picture of him pops up on my screen; smiling up at me, holding his bottle of Corona sitting by the fire pit.
  “Hey! I thought you would be busy pumping iron.” I say into the phone, as I sprint down the stairs.
  “Hey baby. I stopped to get a drink and saw your text. I thought I would give you a call rather than text you back. I loved the picture by the way.” His voice is husky and so damn sexy; I love it when he says baby with that Southern drawl. Dayum it gives me butterflies every time.
  I stop at the bottom stair and plop down on it plucking at the plastic wrapper on my water bottle, “Thank you for the flowers and strawberries. You’re spoiling me Knox; I can’t wait for you to feed me those chocolate covered strawberries tonight.” I say seductively.
  Kayden let out a low growl into the phone. “Damn it baby, you’re making me hard. I still have over an hour of working out to do.”
  I can’t help but blush. Sucking my bottom lip into my mouth, clamping it down between my teeth, I let out a small moan. “Well then, you better work out as fast as humanly possible because I am ready for round three.”
  “Well then, I better get off this damn phone, because baby, I’ve been dying to have you beneath me screaming my name again since I left the house this morning.”
  “I will be ready and waiting. Brooklyn and I are going to play volleyball with Jacob and Zak until you get here. So, are you down for going out with them tonight?”
  “Yeah, sounds like fun. I’ll text Braxton and see if he and his girlfriend would like to join us. I can rent a limo for the night to drive us around. I better go so I can get finished up. See you soon baby.” I hate hanging up, but the thought of being back in his arms in just a few hours instantly puts a smile on my lips.
  ~~~

  I forgot how fun it was to play volleyball. Brooklyn and I teamed up against Zak and Jacob. We beat them six to five…Brooklyn, having no shame, did the cha-cha celebrating our win. She is acting like we just won the Super Bowl for God’s sake.

  She’s extremely competitive, has been our entire lives. She played every sport you could possibly play in high school, and dominated in all of them.

  Zak brought down a cooler full of beers for everyone to drink while we played. I am still working on my first one, since I’m not a big fan of beer. Brooklyn, on the other hand, will drink pretty much anything. She is on her third Budweiser and looks to have a good buzz going on.

  It’s almost seven, so we all headed back to our houses to get ready to go out. “I cannot believe Knox is getting us a limo to go in, this is going to be soooo much fun!” Brooklyn said her voice full of excitement.

  “It’ll be nice to finally meet Mya, Braxton’s girlfriend, if they decide to come out with us tonight.”

  Brooklyn flashes me a questionable glance, “I just hope she is not one of those snotty football wives you see all the time that let the fame and money go to their head. If so, that will definitely ruin my night.”

  I am praying she’s sweet; it’ll be nice to have another friend around here since Brooklyn’s always traveling for work.

  “Kayden said she’s very nice and a lot of fun; they’ve all been friends since they were kids, so we will see. I can’t picture someone as funny as Braxton being with anyone obnoxious.”

  Chapter Eight

  I slip into my favorite tight blue jeans; they have flap pockets on the back covered in rhinestone crosses and flare out at my ankles; they scream Texas!, a cute spaghetti strap flowing black tank top with rhinestone detailing at the top and a black leather jacket. I feel sexy, and cannot wait to see what Kayden thinks when he sees me.

  I opt for my favorite cowgirl boots, and slip on a few bangle bracelets to accessorize. I am eager to go out and hit the town.

  After I finish curling my hair, I spray on some of my favorite coconut and tropical flower scented perfume that drives Kayden absolutely crazy, and I’m ready to get this party started.

  Brooklyn’s in the kitchen with Jacob and Zak doing shots. “Don’t get too drunk before we leave Brooklyn, the last thing we need is you barfing on the Ferris wheel!” I laugh, climbing onto
a barstool at the kitchen island.

  Zak almost spits his shot straight across the room, letting out a deep chuckle. “I know who I’m not sitting with, or anywhere near tonight when we go on rides at the pier.” He joked.

  “Don’t be ridiculous, Savannah. I’ll be perfectly fine.” Brooklyn says tossing back another shot.

  “Don’t say I didn’t warn you.” Shaking my head at her, I toss back the shot of whiskey Jacob placed in my hands.

  Pouring everyone another shot, Zak yells, “Let’s make a toast to new friends and to a wild ass night!” Simultaneously we all shout “CHEERS!” and toss back our shots.

  Just then, I hear the rumble of Kayden’s truck pulling in.

  “Ohhh! Kayden’s finally here!” I excitedly shout, jumping down from the bar stool.

  “Hey!” Brooklyn yells at me as I am running for the door. “NO FUCKING until after we go out! I’m ready to get the hell outta here. I don’t want to sit around twiddling my thumbs waiting for you to finish fucking like damn rabbits.”

  I look over my shoulder, roll my eyes and flip Brooklyn the bird with a Cheshire cat grin before hurrying out the door onto the deck where Kayden is just rounding the corner at the top of the stairs. As our eyes meet my heartbeat accelerates and my breath catches, becoming as uncontrollable as my pulse.

  He looks so freaking divine and did I mention hot in his tight black t-shirt, faded worn blue jeans, cowboy boots, and black cowboy hat.

  Kayden is the only man that has ever made my stomach quiver with just one look. The energy and sexual magnetism between us is beyond anything I have ever known or experienced.

  Noticing me on the deck, he flashes his megawatt, panty dropping smile. “Hey baby, miss me?” His rich Southern drawl cascades over my skin caresses my ears and sends a shiver down my spine.

  I ache for his touch, and to have his lips on mine.

  “You bet your sweet ass I missed you.” I run and jump into his arms, crushing my mouth against his. He grips my ass in his hands, giving it a firm squeeze and lets out a deep moan into my mouth.

  The fire burning inside is only intensifying the longer I’m in his arms, burning hotter and hotter.
