Cherry Hill 16 - Spies Don't Fall In Love
Page 11
“Have you checked your account my friend?” the senator said with a smile, but then had to walk away as more people wanted to interview him and celebrate the victory. He heard his cell phone buzz and looked down. Mitch Sloan gave him the sign that the package was delivered, that Kasmul was thankful for returning his prize to where she belonged. He smiled softly. One sexy, intelligent spy for four dangerous terrorists, and a political win that was worth way more than a woman who fucked multiple men. Thank God Kasmul didn’t know about her indiscretions or this plan would never have happened. Now to take care of one last loose end. Seager.
He texted on his phone. Take care of the thing now. He pressed send and then someone interrupted him. He smiled, then put his cell phone away, putting all this back dealing behind him. He was a hundred grand richer and still got to hold onto his source, Kasmul, for future use, and four terrible, evil terrorists were captured while others were killed. It was a good day for America and for him.

“I don’t believe it. I don’t fucking believe it!” Denzel yelled, and slammed the desk with his fist. They were in Israel, at the U.S. embassy in a secure intelligence room. Stone was on the speaker phone and The Greek was on another one.
“Listen, Denzel. We’ve been working every fucking lead and angle we could once we got the call from Burbank. Genesis was a spy, a government soldier, informant, whatever for the U.S. government. She was impeccable, well trained and resourceful. The Greek has so much stuff on her, you guys should be impressed. She made sure that you and the teams were successful on that mission,” Stone told them.
“What he says is true, and from what I’m gathering, she was out. Completely done with being a spy. Something went down two years ago. About a dozen U.S. soldiers and informants were killed, but hundreds were saved when Genesis, her real name Jeanine Ray, stepped into action, exposed her cover and saving their lives. Kasmul held her prisoner for more than six months.”
“What? How the fuck did she survive? What the hell went down?” Mills asked.
“It shouldn’t matter because she escaped, got out of there, and someone made sure that Kasmul wasn’t charged, or that anyone went after him to destroy his businesses and connections to terrorists,” The Greek said.
“Burbank, Genesis’s commander, has leads now. That’s why we’re informing you of what’s going on. She wasn’t setting you up. She wasn’t involved in any of this. She helped out and gave that information because she knew Gable, too. They were close,” Stone told them.
Denzel clenched his teeth.
Zedock cursed. “She said there was a soldier she knew. One she was intimate with, but he was active duty and she was busy working, so they didn’t make it awkward.”
“It makes sense. Everything we’re finding out about her from Burbank leads us all to believe she’s a true patriot. She sacrificed herself, her new life, to ensure your safety and to bring justice to Gable and his team,” The Greek told them.
“So where is she now then? What the fuck went down that Burbank is concerned for her safety?” Freeman asked.
“That’s what we’re still working on. Burbank said this guy, a connection through the government, Seager is his name, had something to do with this. As of thirty minutes ago, Burbank and his team of soldiers located him and have him in a secure location. As soon as we get more info, we’ll contact you.”
“Sit tight, men. We’ll figure this shit out,” Stone said, and then they ended the calls.
Mills fell back in the chair and exhaled. “She’s a fucking spy. Was anything she said, she did with us fucking real?” he asked.
“Don’t, Mills. You know it was real. She was trying to move on with her life,” Freeman said.
“She knew, she figured it out that it was us going to take out Volchen and his men. That was why her expression changed that night we were with her. She risked her life for us,” Denzel said.
“It seems that way, doesn’t it? I mean, if she was that deep undercover, working the business dealings, getting close to Kasmul, and he kept her prisoner for that long, she probably wet through hell,” Zedock said to the team.
“Maybe if we said Gable’s name she would have confided in us?” Mills asked.
“No, she wouldn’t have. If she was that deep undercover and is that good of an agent, she wouldn’t have caved for anything. No, she isn’t who we thought she was, but what we shared was real, and now she’s the one in danger. She’s the one who risked her life to save us and we can’t find out where she is,” Zedock said to them.
“This guy Seager can. Stone and The Greek will get info out of him. They know he’s our only source to find out. He has to,” Freeman stated.
Denzel was looking at the computer screen. “Look at this shit.” He turned it toward them. It was a media broadcast from the United States talking about the mission, and politicizing the capture and killing of terrorist leaders. Senator Rangles was claiming knowledge of the event and his approval.
“That fucking dick. He didn’t approve shit,” Mills said.
Zedock listened and stared at the scene. He saw all the other bigshots around the room, claiming knowledge and like they physically risked their lives for this operation. Then it hit him. “Holy shit.” He picked up the phone.
“What, Zedock? What is it?” Freeman asked.
“Stone, Zedock. Hey, you catching that news coming in from the sates about the mission, and Rangles claiming knowledge about it? Yeah, looking for some votes. Seems coincidental, considering his department overlooks some of the situations we’ve dealt with over the years. Like maybe there’s a connection to the mission being a success and Genesis disappearing? You mentioned her involvement with business, funding and weaponry as her specialty. She would be a liaison between the contracts when negotiating certain aspects, correct?” He looked at his team and they nodded.
“Okay, keep me posted.” He ended the call.
“You think this is connected?” Mills asked Zedock.
“I think we need to look at every angle here, and not just bypass what could be right in front of us,” Zedock said.
“I hope she’s okay. I’m pissed off at her, and feel a bit betrayed for some reason, but I still fucking love her,” Denzel admitted.
“I think we’re on the same page, man. My concern is who took her and where did they take her. All we can do is wait and hope that the Greek and Stone are as good as we hope they are.”

Genesis could barely open her eyes. She felt so weak, and very tired. As she went to move her arms, she felt the restraints and became a little more alert to her surroundings. A quiet, well-decorated room, an open window, and a warm breeze coming through. A familiar scent, and it hit her. Kasmul. She turned to look around her, realizing she was wearing just a gown, and was naked underneath it. That was when she felt a soreness and tears stung her eyes. Did that bastard rape her while she was drugged up and comatose?
The anger and disgust attacked her senses. What the hell happened? What had Seager done and Mogen? Were Zedock, Freeman, Denzel, and Mills successful and alive after that mission? Had her information secured their safety? Why was she here? What the hell was she doing here? The tears fell. She started shaking. If she somehow was taken by Kasmul, she was as good as dead.
“Ahhh, you’re awake.”
She heard his voice and trepidation hit her body. When he walked into her view, the man looked handsome and a bit older. His air of arrogance was obvious, and his blue eyes sparkled as he looked her over, licked his lips, and took a seat beside her. He slid his palm up under the white gown. She tightened up.
“Don’t.” He narrowed his eyes at her but smirked. “I already started to get your body reacquainted with mine as you rested. Seems my men gave a little too much sedative as you awoke on the plane and broke noses and nearly got yourself shot.”
“I don’t remember any of that,” she said as her chest heaved up and down.
He smiled and stroked the top o
f her mound. She gasped.
“It’s good stuff they gave you. I think here in the states they call it ecstasy?” he said, and then leaned closer and nipped her nipple through the gown. She clenched her teeth and then realized he said here in the states. They were on U.S. soil, not overseas in the Middle East. She looked toward the window then back at him. Where were they? Hawaii? Puerto Rico? She inhaled again.
“You disappointed me so much, Jeanine. I missed you in my bed. I missed hearing you cry out my name. You broke your promise and you ran away from me. Don’t you know I own you in every way?”
“You don’t own me. Never have and never will.”
“Ahh, but I do now. I paid for you,” he said, and stroked her jaw.
“What?”
“I offered information, a capture, and the promise that a certain military mission went off without a hitch, as opposed to all those soldiers dying. The payoff for my cooperation, information, delivery of those terrorists and their location, was you. My incredibly sexy, capable American spy. My woman, my lover, so cooperative. It’s because of you that those men lived. That your senator can celebrate a victory to reelection, and your bosses can continue to provide information that keep that bank accounts full and their lives of luxury continuous.”
She started breathing through her nostrils. Her eyes widened with anger, disgust, and then she went to lash out at him. She was a payoff? The government, her government negotiated with this asshole and handed her over? He caught her arm and immediately straddled her body. He shoved her arms up above her head, making her gasp in pain.
“No use in being angry. You know you’re expendable. Forget that life now, for they’ve already forgotten about you.” He lowered down and kissed her hard on the mouth. She couldn’t stop him, and the feeling of defeat hit her harder than she expected.
She thought of Zedock, Freeman, Denzel, and Mills, and how she would never see them again. They had lived and survived that mission because of the information she gave, but she was double-crossed by Seager. Probably by Mogen too because Kasmul mentioned a political reelection. Senator Rangles, that slimebag, anti-American asshole was part of this, too. What was she going to do? How could she escape? Her men would never know the truth. Then she vaguely remembered the car ride to the airport as she realized something was wrong and texted Burbank. What had he said? Would he investigate and maybe find out what really happened?
She felt the tears roll from her eyes as Kasmul suckled along her neck and then to her breast. She shivered and tried moving her legs.
“Do not resist me.”
“I hate you, Kasmul. You can never fully have me. No matter what you do, you can’t ever make me yours.”
He smirked as he pushed her top to her neck and leaned sideways against her arm, making it feel like he could break it. He played with her breast. “You see, that is where you are wrong, because I know about the men in your life. About Gable, about that crew of mercenaries you were fucking. I can have them killed whenever I choose.”
Her eyes widened and tears filled them. “Don’t.”
“Ohh, you see, there’s a negotiating tool. You obey my commands, they live. You attempt to escape, they die. It’s pretty simple. And as far as you cheating on me and not remaining faithful? Well, that’s what the cleansing process will be for.”
“Cleansing process?” she asked, and he pinched her nipple and held her gaze.
“You know I’ve thought about how to punish you, and what would give me the satisfaction I need from waiting so long to get you back. I come back to the same things. You need to be beaten down. Physically and mentally. You need to forget those capabilities and that fight in you that you have as an American spy, and to realize that you are now a possession, owned by me and me only. In order for that to happen, this perfect body needs to be damaged. But don’t worry. I don’t want this perfect skin permanently damaged, just decorated accordingly.”
“You can beat me all you want, Kasmul, but you won’t own my mind or my body.”
“Sure I will,” he said, and then stood up and opened the drawer by the bedside table. When he took out the leather case and opened it, she saw the needles all filled with some kind of clear liquid. He lifted one up. “We begin your punishment and training today. Don’t worry though, you won’t know the difference between what is real and what is not. And in between I will train that mind, this body, to accept me completely.” He leaned over to kiss her again as he struck her with the needle and she grunted.
“I hate you. I’ll always hate you,” she said, and immediately her vision blurred and her body felt like it was floating off the bed. She rolled her head side to side, and everything began to change. It was like time stood still, or maybe fast forward as images and sensations attacked her senses. She saw Kasmul with no shirt on, just white dress pants, barefoot, and then an ache to her back, her thighs, as stinging hit her. She imagined crazy things in her head. Screaming, pain, laughter, and then blood on his white pants. His nose broken, her fist in pain, it was complete mental chaos until darkness was all she saw, yet her body jerked and pain radiated everywhere until she felt and saw nothing at all.

“Puerto Rico. Of all the fucking places to take her and hold her prisoner, this pompous mother fucker picks one in the United States,” Stone said, and rubbed his jaw.
“What do you have on the location, the security, and Genesis’s condition?” Zedock asked.
Stone looked at one of his men from his team. “Axel, what have you, Divo, and Parker come up with?” he asked.
Zedock knew Stone and his team had a plan in motion and now they were just making sure it was going to be a success. What they found out in the last week was that Genesis was sold to Kasmul for the information and capture of those terrorists in the Middle East, as well as for protecting Zedock and his team, plus the other soldiers. She completely lost her life, her identify, her new life in Cherry Hill with them, in order to protect them all. She was double-crossed though by inside people in the U.S. government that were working both angles. Genesis thought she was just protecting them, but then she was tricked into believing she was in danger from Kasmul’s men and that was when she was taken and transported by private jet to Puerto Rico. The Greek found out that Kent Mogen and Mitch Sloan tricked Seager into taking the blame for her abduction.
In the mix of things, the senator was informed of what Mogen did and apparently, he had dirt on Mogen, so he got away with paying Mogen a hundred grand to pull off the mission, but didn’t know about the sale of the agent or what else Mogen did to get Genesis taken. He was cooperating with anything they needed, but The Greek and Stone, plus the team, and Zedock’s team as well as Louis and his team, were the ones here right now ready to rescue Genesis. They get all the paperwork, the support and manpower needed. But they weren’t taking prisoners this time. It was decided amongst The Greek, Stone, and all of them, that this had to end. Kasmul killed Gable and the team, plus countless of other soldiers and agents. They were all going to die.
“Okay, I’m going to sugar coat this, it’s bad,” Axel told them and held Zedock’s gaze. He then pointed to the map of the estate and mansion Kasmul and his force was living on for the last few weeks. They held Genesis there for eight days, and at this point, Zedock and the team were desperate to know if she was alive.
“Go one and don’t sugar coat anything,” Denzel said.
“Okay, so surveillance on the estate, some visual, but mostly audio, indicates Kasmul is torturing Genesis, here in this room. We have about thirty men in total with outside security and inside. There are a staff of workers, cooks, cleaners, groundskeepers, maybe an additional twenty that could pick up a gun and help protect Kasmul. Our best bet would be sniper shots, here, here, here, and here, to take out those outside guards swiftly and quietly. Then we move in from east and west sides.”
“But if she’s in there, and he’s been beating her, shouldn’t we get to her quickly?” Denzel asked.

The heaviest set of guards seem to be on the east and west wing. When night settles in. We would be spreading ourselves thin if we separate and attack from all ends,” Axel added.
“Not like we can’t do that. We’re all highly trained mercenaries, and capable of taking over a building and grounds like this with four men. We have four teams here. Time is ticking,” Hunt stated.
Axel looked at Stone. “We can do it. Lex, Mick, Pierce, and Rad have been getting close and grabbing this intel. We let them set up for the sniper shots. North side, west side, east side, and south side. They clear the path and each team heads in. Zedock and his crew right to Genesis.”
“Sounds perfect to me. Get that info to Lex and them. They’re hidden on the property and have their weapons ready to go. Another two hours, and darkness will set in and we can make our move. Remember, no bad guys live. It ends here, then we put all those bodies in the house, and light it up. The boats are a mile up the beach,” Stone told them.
“Well get there and we’ll complete this mission and bring our woman home for good,” Denzel said.
They all agreed, then get their weapons ready and waited to head down the beach, onto the estate property and to rescue Genesis. Zedock just prayed that they weren’t too late.

Genesis felt numb. She could feel the hands on her body, and heard Kasmul’s voice. “You belong to me. To Kasmul. Say it,” he demanded. She moaned as he held her in his arms and kissed her neck. “Say it.”
“I belong to you. To Kasmul,” she said, and then felt the pain on her lips.
She reached up and felt swelling.
“You’ll be fine. Your training is going so well. Sleeping here with you at night, holding you close as you moan makes me happy.” He kissed her shoulder and she barely felt it.
