LES BOHEM has written A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 5, The Horror Show, Twenty Bucks, Daylight, Dante’s Peak, The Alamo, Kid, Nowhere to Run, The Darkest Hour, and the miniseries Taken, which he wrote and executive-produced with Steven Spielberg, and for which he won an Emmy Award. He’s had songs recorded by Emmylou Harris, Randy Travis, Freddy Fender, Steve Gillette, Johnette Napolitano (of Concrete Blonde), and Alvin (of the Chipmunks).
C. ROBERT CARGILL is the cowriter of the Sinister films, and the author of the books Dreams and Shadows and Queen of the Dark Things. He wrote for Ain’t It Cool News for nearly a decade under the pseudonym Massawyrm, served as a staff writer for Film.com and Hollywood.com, and appeared as the animated character Carlyle on Spill.com. He lives and works in Austin, Texas.
JAMES DEMONACO is the writer/director of the feature films Staten Island, New York, The Purge, and The Purge: Anarchy. He also wrote the films The Negotiator and Assault on Precinct 13, as well as created and executive-produced the cable TV miniseries The Kill Point starring John Leguizamo. DeMonaco lives in both Staten Island and Manhattan with his wife and daughter. He is an avid New York Yankees fan.
CHRISTOPHER DENHAM is the writer/director of Home Movie (IFC Films) and Preservation (The Orchard) and several Off-Broadway plays. As an actor, his film credits include Argo, Sound of My Voice, Shutter Island, The Bay, Charlie Wilson’s War, Forgetting the Girl, and WGN America’s critically acclaimed television series Manhattan. He lives in New York.
SCOTT DERRICKSON is a screenwriter and director known for The Exorcism of Emily Rose, Sinister, Deliver Us from Evil, and Marvel Studios’ upcoming Doctor Strange. He lives in Los Angeles.
STEVE FABER is an American film and television writer/producer whose credits include Wedding Crashers and We’re the Millers. He has written and produced many television projects (including Married with Children) as well as numerous pilots at various studios. In addition to a great deal of public speaking on matters regarding entertainment, politics, and culture, he also contributes to The Huffington Post with his acclaimed political blog titled Washingwood. He does not frighten easily.
GEORGE GALLO is a veteran Hollywood screenwriter and director, writing such classics as Midnight Run and Bad Boys. He is also a renowned artist, painting in the style of the American Impressionists, and is coauthor of the book Impressionist Painting for the Landscape. His work hangs in public and private collections around the world.
ETHAN HAWKE is an accomplished actor, screenwriter, film director, theater director, and novelist. He has appeared in more than forty films, including Dead Poets Society, Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, Before Midnight, Reality Bites, Gattaca, Training Day, and Boyhood. His numerous stage credits include, as an actor: The Coast of Utopia, Henry IV, The Winter’s Tale, The Cherry Orchard, Hurlyburly, Macbeth, and Blood from a Stone (2011 Obie Award winner); and as a director: Things We Want, A Lie of the Mind, and Clive. He has written two novels, The Hottest State and Ash Wednesday, the former of which he adapted and directed for film. He has also been nominated for a Tony Award, Academy Awards for both acting and writing, and Drama Desk Awards for both acting and directing.
WILLIAM JOSELYN has had a lifelong love of dark tales. He lives, dreams, and writes in Michigan.
SARAH LANGAN is the author of the novels The Keeper, This Missing, and Audrey’s Door. She’s at work on her fourth novel, The Clinic, and lives in Brooklyn with her husband, J. T. Petty, and their two daughters. She thinks twins are walking metaphors. Particular thanks to first readers Lee Thomas, the hubby, Robert Bloom, and Nick Simonds.
NISSAR MODI was born and raised in London, England, and moved to the United States to attend film school at the University of Southern California. He wrote the screenplay to the film adaptation of Robert O’Brien’s classic novel Z for Zachariah, which will be released in 2015 by Lionsgate/Roadside Attractions.
MARK NEVELDINE was born in Watertown, New York. After graduating from Hobart College, he worked as an actor, writer, and director in New York City. Neveldine hit the feature scene when he and Brian Taylor wrote, directed, and camera-operated Crank, starring Jason Statham. He went on to write and direct Crank: High Voltage, Gamer, Ghost Rider 2, and The Vatican Tapes. He lives with his wife and two children in the middle of nowhere.
MICHAEL OLSON is the author of the novel Strange Flesh. Before that he was a professor at NYU studying virtual environments. He now lives in Los Angeles and is working on several projects for TV and film.
ELI ROTH is an award-winning filmmaker and actor whose works include Cabin Fever, Hostel, The Green Inferno, and Knock Knock. In front of the camera Roth is best known for his portrayal of Donny Donowitz, “The Bear Jew,” in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Lorenza, and their dog, Monkey.
JEREMY SLATER is a screenwriter residing in Burbank, California. His credits include Relativity’s The Lazarus Effect and Fox’s new update of Fantastic Four. He is currently adapting Fables and Death Note for Warner Bros.
DANA STEVENS’s screenwriting credits include Safe Haven, City of Angels, For Love of the Game, Blink, and Life or Something Like It. In television, she was the creator and executive producer of Reckless, a sexy legal drama currently available on Netflix, and What About Brian, an ABC series produced by J. J. Abrams.
SCOTT STEWART is a writer, director, and producer whose credits include the feature films Dark Skies, Legion, and Priest and the television series Dominion and Defiance. In a prior life, Stewart was an accomplished visual effects artist with credits including Ironman, Hellboy, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, Blade Runner: The Final Cut, and Sin City. He lives in Los Angeles.
SIMON KURT UNSWORTH is the author of The Devil’s Detective. He is the author of many
short stories, including the collection Quiet Houses. He was born in Manchester and now lives in a farmhouse in Cumbria with his wife, the writer Rosie Seymour, in the United Kingdom.
