Breaker's Fuse Page 6

“Thank you, Ela,” I whisper, still in awe by this announcement and pretty much finding out Ela is a psychic. Most people would think she’s just being crazy, but for some reason I believe what she says. It all adds up.

“No problem, sweetheart. Between you and Tiny these men are going to have their hands full. It’ll be nice having little ones around here. My daughter just had a little one about two months ago and is pregnant.” At each of her words my mind seems to go into shock.

Holy mother of all hotness these men must have super sperm or something.

“Does Tiny know?” I ask, baffled that she’d told me.

“Oh, yeah, she knows. Chains was freaking out earlier demanding she go to the doctor when she was puking this morning. Let’s just say, until his baby is born, he’s not going to be easy to be around,” Ela giggles.

Blinking at the woman, I’m speechless.

“Anyways, I’m gonna go back into the kitchen. I’m thinking about making my Cajun chicken and rice soup for dinner,” she announces as she walks toward the door. At the mere mention of the food, I cover my mouth and head for the bathroom barely making it in time before I puke again.

Fuck me, this is going to suck if this is what I have to look forward to for the next several months. I only hope that it doesn’t go longer than that.

Groaning into the toilet, I close my eyes as Breaker joins me and places a cool cloth to my neck.

“It’s okay, ma tendre. Just think of it this way. First, you’re not the only one going through this. Second, at the end of this you’ll have a baby in your arms that is made from you and me. And just so you know I fuckin’ love you,” he murmurs.

“You know you have shit timing with telling me you love me,” I grumble as I lift my head to glare at him.

“Well, I’d intended to tell you last night but you’d passed out on me,” he grins, lifting the cloth he’d still had a hold of at my neck, he wipes it across my mouth. “If you’re done in here, let’s get you back in bed. You need some rest and I’ve got some shit to get done. I gotta get shit ready before two of your brothers get here.” My eyes widen as I let him help me up.

Did he just say my brothers were coming here?

  Oh god no.

The last few times I’d spoken to them they’d still been pissed I’d gotten married without them being here. My mom though, she was upset but she’d at least understood and was fine because of the fact I was happy. Shocked the hell out of me that she didn’t scream at me.

“Why are they coming here?” I ask, quietly.

Instead of answering me right away, Breaker helps me back into the bed without letting me brush my teeth. Once he has me settled in the middle of the bed he climbs up and stretches out bracing himself up on one arm while placing the other on my stomach.

“Reason they’re coming, mon chou, is due to Miles Granger going underground and they think he’s found you,” he says, calmly.

“What?” I whisper feeling as if my breath had been stolen from my lungs.

“Don’t worry, Nora. Chains has already called a lockdown. None of the ol’ ladies are allowed to leave the clubhouse. I’m gonna go grab you some stuff later on when I have a chance, right now though I’ve got to get some shit done before your brothers get here. I want you to rest, relax, and if you need me, call me.” From the tone in his voice I know there’s no room for argument. Which thankfully I don’t have the energy to even try to right now.

Nodding my head, I lean into him. “Okay, I’ll rest and see if I can’t find a doctor, I can make an appointment to go see,” I murmur.

“Sounds good, Spitfire,” Breaker grins and leans down to kiss me but I turn before he can kiss me and cover my mouth to which he gives me the brow lift.

“I just puked my guts out, again. I didn’t get to brush my teeth before you brought me back out here. I’m not about to let you kiss me till I do brush my teeth. There’s a huge difference in morning breath which I can handle because I can’t not get up without kissing you. You’re addicting, but when it comes to after vomiting, yeah no, that’s not happening,” I inform him.

Breaker doesn’t just chuckle at this statement. Nope, instead he throws his head back and laughs his ass off.

  “I don’t see what’s so funny,” I mutter on a huff.

“Spitfire, I fuckin’ love you woman,” he states as he sobers.

“That’s the second time you’ve said you love me,” I say losing the annoyance toward him.

“Yeah, mon amour, because I do love you. Nora, I’ve loved you from the moment I set eyes on you. When I married you, I loved you and when I said my vows to you, I loved you. I’ll continue to love you until I take my last breath. Even then I’ll love you into the next life.”

  Oh god.

I can feel the tears welling in my eyes.

“I love you too, Orin,” I whisper, as he cups the side of my face and swipes the tears that fall.

“I know you do,” he whispers just as softly.

Closing my eyes, I lean my head against his chest. Breaker moves to lay on his back and pulls me so that I can burrow into him like I’ve done every night since we started sleeping together. Enjoying the heat and strength that he pours over me.

In Breaker’s arms, is the one place in the entire world that I truly feel completely safe.

  Chapter Eleven

  Breaker

It doesn’t take long after I lay with Nora for her to fall asleep. Her body exhausted from being sick.

  Not sick.

  Morning sickness.

My ol’ lady is pregnant with my kid. I should probably be freaking the fuck out right about now but I’m the complete opposite. If it were any other woman besides Nora, I know I’d be pissed the hell off and feel as if they were trying to trap me. But my woman, nope. I knew she wasn’t on any birth control. The fact my woman was a damn virgin and no other man had been in there meant her pussy was mine alone.

  Fuck.

I inwardly groan when my cock hardens at the thought of being inside Nora’s pussy. I cannot help it. She has a way of riling my body quicker than any other bitch has ever been able to.

Without stirring my woman, I slide out from under her replacing a pillow where I’d been. Staring down at my little Spitfire, I smile as I watch her snuggle into the pillow. Before leaving the room, I lean down and press a kiss to her forehead. “Love you, mon amour.”

Moving quietly to the door, I open it and step out into the hallway. Once the door is closed, I make my way toward the main room and find Fuse sitting there at a table working away at his laptop rather than in his room. I walk up to the bar and signal Steel, one of the prospects, to grab me a beer.

“Thanks,” I mutter as I take it from Steel who nods in acknowledgment. Steel had been a hang around before he’d enlisted in the Army. He did one tour then he got out and came home, Axel became his sponsor. From the time before he left and now, he’s a completely different man.

Tapping the bar top, I leave him to it and move over to Fuse. “Anything new been found?” I ask as I flip a chair around and sit.

“Not much. There is only so much I can do without setting off alarms on their end. We haven’t ever had a problem with the Toxic Warriors before so I’m not trying to add fuel to the fire as I go searching for the holes in their walls. From what I’ve found so far on Miles’ side of things, he’s been in contact with Iceman and has offered an insane amount of dough for their assistance.”

“Fuck, how much?” I mutter, putting my beer on the table and lifting my hand to run my fingers through my long hair. I’d left it down from the bun I normally keep it in. I’ve found Nora also likes to reach up in her sleep to play with it.

“Three point five million,” Fuse says, his eyes lift to lock on mine as his fingers hover over the keys on his computer.

  “Motherfucker,” I roar.

  “What’s going on?” Chains asks.

“I’ll tell you what’s going on. Fuckwad isn’t just gonna be k
illed, I’m sending his ass straight to the depths of hell unrecognizable. Fucker offered his cousin over three million dollars to help him get Nora.”

“Fuck me. Miles is fuckin’ insane,” Chains grumbles.

“You’re telling me. This asshole isn’t getting near Nora or my kid,” I snarl as thoughts of Miles taking her and me never seeing her nor our baby ever again. Because if this fucker has that kinda cash then that means he has the means to disappear without a trace. I’m not about to let that fuckin’ happen.

“Kid?” Chains asks a brow lifted.

“Yeah, she’s pregnant. Well we haven’t confirmed it but she was throwing up earlier, Ela came in with crackers and ginger ale for her. Said she was and you know I don’t go against what she says. It’s all true and I’m going to make sure she stays that way,” I rumble.

“Boy or girl?” This time I’m thrown by Chains’ question.

  “What?”

“Which did Ela say you guys were having?”

  “Boy,” I state.

“Fuck, she said Tiny’s having a boy and girl,” Chains grumbles.

  “Twins?” I ask for clarification.

“Yeah, twins. I’ve already made sure she’s set an appointment so if we can get Nora set on the same day we’ll swarm a vehicle with them in it for going to the doctor and back,” Chains says his face a look of torture at the thought of twins. Shit, I’m right there with him on that one.

One I can handle, two no fuckin’ way.

“Hold the fuck up, both Nora and Tiny are pregnant?” Fuse asks gaping at the two of us from where he was still sitting.

“Yeah,” we say at the same time.

“Oh shit. Congrats on becoming dads. But I’m telling you now, either of you fuckin’ turn out like my sister’s husband did when she was knocked up, I’ll strangle you both myself,” Fuse mutters. “That being said, I’ll do what I can to help protect both women from being harmed.”

  “Thanks, brother,” I murmur.

“No problem we’re family, it’s what we do. If I had a woman, you’d all do the same for me,” Fuse states.

“Fuck, yeah, we would. Now let’s quit the heart to heart shit before one of us grows a vagina,” Chains mutters. “Do we have anything else for now?”

“Nothing else. When I do though I’ll let you know,” Fuse says.

“Alright, cool deal, I need to go to the warehouse to check inventory then go by the house and grab some stuff for Nora.” I state as I lift my beer off the table and down the rest of the contents in the bottle.

“Alright, get Brake, Lynch, and Throttle to go with you,” Chains orders.

“You got it,” I say as I pull out my phone and shoot a mass text to the three of them telling them to meet me at our bikes.

Making my way to the door, I decide to make a detour and go back to the room and check on Nora. As I open the door to my room, I find her just waking up.

“Hey, Spitfire, you have a good nap?” I ask as I close the door behind me.

“Yeah, I don’t feel as horrible now,” she says giving me a small smile.

“That’s good. I was just coming to check on you before I left. I’ve got to head out for a bit. Do you need anything while I’m out? I’m going to stop at the house and pick up some stuff for you on the way back,” I say.

“Wait, why are you picking stuff up and bringing it back here for me,” she asks in confusion.

“Told you earlier, ma tendre, Miles went underground. Probably knows you’re here and Chains has called a lockdown. Tiny, Ela, and you aren’t going anywhere unless it’s completely necessary,” I say, and I can see the confusion on her face turning from irritation to anger with each word.

“Great, so you all are going to take yet another choice from me by not letting me leave the clubhouse,” she mutters.

“Nora, it’s not like that and you know it. This is about the safety of not just you but our child. What if you were at the house and no one was close enough to get to you in time, you’d be lost to me and I couldn’t live with that thought,” I state as I get close enough to pull her to me.

“It still would have been nice to have you talk to me about this before making a decision regarding me,” she says, sarcastically.

“Let’s get one thing crystal clear, Spitfire. When it comes to your safety, our child’s safety, I will do whatever the fuck I have to, to make sure you are not hurt in any way. Now as for your choice being taken away. That was not in any way me trying to control your life. Now lose the attitude and kiss me, I’ve gotta get goin’,” I state.

Huffing and still pissed, my woman still gives me a kiss. Not as scorching as it normally is but at least she kissed me.

“I love you, mon amour. Don’t be pissed at me for doing something I need to do to protect you,” I murmur before planting another hot and heavy kiss on her.

Lifting my mouth from hers, I press a kiss to her forehead and leave her to fume. I know she’s pissed, thinking I’ve done the same as her brothers have. And in some way if you think about it, I have; however, I’ll do whatever the fuck I have to in order to keep Nora safe. She’s not just my wife and ol’ lady, she’s the motherfuckin’ air I need to breathe easy.

  Chapter Twelve

  Nora

It’s been hours since Breaker left and I’m still fuming over the fact I’m being put on lockdown without it being discussed with me. Sure, I know from Emerson and the rest of them what lockdown means. And why the guys do this.

  I understand it, I do.

What I don’t understand is why take my choices from me. If he would have come to me and been like, ‘Nora we need to put the club on lockdown to keep you and the rest of the women safe.’ I wouldn’t have gotten pissed.

I’m not stupid and would have easily agreed with him without the attitude.

Okay, so maybe I’m being pissed for no reason. I just have never liked being left out of decisions regarding me.

I shouldn’t have gotten worked up the way I did earlier. I want to rule out the fact I snap so easily, when it comes to Miles, it is due to him creeping me the hell out but that’s not the case. Nope, I was raised by a woman who was independent and relied on only herself to do everything for four kids after Dad died.

A knock on Breakers door draws me out of my head before it can go down the road I had been going down.

Getting up off the bed, I move to the door and open it up. A groan escapes me at the sight of who’s standing there.

  Dee.

“What do you want, Dee?” I snap.

“I want what’s mine back,” she sneers as she steps directly into my space.

“I don’t have anything of yours,” I say crossing my arms over my chest.

“That’s where you’re wrong, bitch.” she smiles and moves quicker than I thought she could in her mile high, knock off, two-dollar stripper shoes. One minute she’s a foot away, the next she’s covering my mouth with a cloth. “You took the man I wanted away from me. And now I’m taking him back and giving you to the man who wants you,” she spits into my face.

I become lightheaded and unable to fight her as whatever she had on the cloth takes effect.

“Go to sleep, bitch, knowing when you wake up, I’ll be the one in Breaker’s bed givin’ it to him just the way he likes it,” Dee snickers.

My eyes grow heavy and everything goes dark. The last thoughts that run through my mind are of getting my hands on Dee and slamming her face against a broken windowpane.

“Here she is. When do I get my money?” Dee’s stupid ass voice is what I wake up to and that just pissed me the hell off as I try to regain my wits.

“You’ll get your money soon enough,” Miles snaps. I know it’s him because there’s no way I’d ever forget a voice like his. Smooth yet lethal.

  Great.

I let myself get taken out by a stupid winnebago bimbo that needs to go find herself a stick to shove up her ass for being a stupid fuckin’ cunt.

  And me using the ‘c
word says just how pissed off I am right about now. I hate the word almost as much as I hate being in this predicament.

“Is this the woman who you’re willing to fork out that much money for?” an unfamiliar voice asks.

“She’s worth every penny.” I inwardly cringe when Miles’ hand comes to brush through my hair. “Wake up, sweetheart,” he murmurs as he suddenly grips the back of my head by my hair.

Biting the inside of my cheek to keep from screaming in pain, I open my eyes in narrowed slits. I refuse to give him the satisfaction of him knowing I fear him.

“You know how much of a pain it has been to find you?” he asks, smirking at me. His eyes narrow when I don’t answer him. “Fuckin’ hell, you are more stubborn than I originally thought you to be. Which will make breaking you that much better? Tell me, sweetheart, are you still the virgin your medical files stated?”

“Of course, she isn’t. I told you she was married to Breaker,” Dee snaps.

“Silence,” Miles snarls at Dee before looking back at me. “Is this true?”

The only indication I give him as to an answer is my nostrils flaring, which gained me a release of the grip he had on my hair as he backhands me with the hand he wears a ring on each finger.

I am unable to stop the cry from slipping out due to the pain from the force he used when he made contact with my skin.

“Ahh, it seems I’ll have to use pain to make you talk to me. I didn’t want to have to do this, but I suppose you do deserve to be punished,” he states before turning his back to me. “Strip her and tie her up. It’s time she learns a lesson.”

“You got it,” the guy who I’d heard speak earlier states. “Just so you know Iceman said this was the only time he was helping you, after this he was wiping his hands of you.”

  Iceman?

Studying the man coming my way I realize he’s with another club. Panic starts to seep in as he pulls a knife out. When he reaches down to cut the zip ties holding my wrists, I use a move my brothers made sure I knew, if I ever ended up needing it. The moment my hands are free I grip the asshole’s balls in my hand and wrench them while I snatch the knife from his hands with my other and slam it directly in his windpipe.
