Cassius came around the desk, pulling her up into his arms. “Are you sure?”
“Hell yeah.” Rose didn’t hesitate. “I’m excited for them. Seth will make a great dad, but me? Nope, I’m definitely not even in the same galaxy as being a mother. I’m pretty sure I couldn’t kick ass with a baby strapped to me.”
Cassius laughed, his eyes crinkling at the sides as his eyes cleared. “Oh, I’m not so sure about that, darling. I think you’d still kick ass. After all, you are the magnificent Black Rose, assassin extraordinaire.”
“And don’t you forget it.” Rose smirked a moment before his lips fell to hers, devouring her with passion.
