  The first thing bothering me is this Unlimited lifespan. I'm truly immortal then my body will grow up normally?

  “System, how come I got an unlimited lifespan?”

  Replying to the host, the System cannot determine which kind of existence the Death Core is. The only information available is that it can be destroyed but not by passaging time. Since your soul is fused with the Death Core, you have an unlimited lifespan. If the core integrity reduces to 0%, the Death Core will be destroyed and so will your soul. The System won't be able to save you.

  All right, I think I understood, ha-ha this is cool even if I'm not at the top of the world or become a super crazy strong expert, as long as I'm low key I can live without dying.

  Fuck, I almost went crazy again. I sat in a meditative position and calmed down.

  Three hours later I was ready to keep checking through the System. It seems my soul realm also improved after I created my body. Though I don't know how to fully use my soul, the only thing it really improved was that now I can expand my soul to one hundred meters. In some novels, I read they could attack and defend with their souls but it seems I'm not at that point at the moment. I should look for some more information, the System doesn't know all, so strange...

  I checked the rest of the System and it was pretty clear that it didn’t know everything, besides the talent stuff, which I knew no kind of information about.

  It was pretty easy to work with the inventory, I just needed to expand my soul, cover the item with my soul essence and wish it to bring it to the inventory. The item disappeared and got stored. The cool thing about this inventory is that it is unlimited. I wonder where this magical space is located and how big it is? Finally, I noticed.

  Suddenly, I felt from my heart some black-white liquid starting to flow out from the Death Core. Then the pain came... fuck!

  I rolled in pain, this is so damn painful, what is happening! I could feel the black-white liquid flowing through the veins in all my body. I started to convulse, the veins in all of my skin were visible on my body and they were pure black, the white liquid was moving into my bones.

  My body was out of my control, I couldn't feel anything anymore besides vomiting blood. In the end, I couldn't endure the pain searing my body any longer so apparently I blacked out.

  One hour later.

  I woke up, looking around me, touching my body. Phew, I thought I died... what an intense pain! I should be stronger right? The skill said it was used to temper my body. I checked the system and laughed like a madman! This is awesome!

  Found out!

  Power brought the worst out of me... it seems with the sudden increase of strength, plus being a little kid, I ended up crushing half of the house. I was sleeping, and I had an urge to go to the toilet, so I rushed to the washroom, unfortunately I couldn't control my speed and crashed through the wall.

  I’ve felt rather odd lately. It seems as though my immune system is still washing away impurities from the body created from the death auras.

  Sigh, how do I explain this to Ye Qing, at least now I can talk and explain this issue properly to him. Here comes the demon himself… I thought as I stood in the now open area, covered in wall debris.

  Ye Qing went inside the execution building, he was in a good mood, they finally fixed the building after so many years and it looked good, and today there were ten executions—that was a good day’s income. Fixing the building required Ye Qing to spend money he had been saving for years. Ye Qing only loved two things: the memory of his wife that passed away, and money. He focused a lot of mental effort to fix the building for the kid, in the end, he softened a bit; after all he was just a poor little kid. When he went inside the building and found the table broken, the kitchen half gone, and a wall turned to pieces...

  “YE BAIIIIIIIIIIIIIII... you little bastard!”

  Seriously? It's a cultivation world... Things get broken often, you are overreacting! I thought. Ye Qing is overreacting like a drama queen.

  “Explanation my ass!” Ye Qing yelled.

  Ye Qing kicked Ye Bai, Bai was sent flying and crashed through the window looking out to the courtyard.

  Ye Qing started to panic, shit maybe I killed him, he's just a little kid. Ye Qing rushed to the courtyard.

  “What was that for, you bastard!!!” I became really enraged. I had just gotten kicked really hard from out of nowhere! I clearly said that there was a proper explanation. Mother fucker… Without thinking, I rushed to Ye Qing and punched him in the stomach. He was unprepared, so he absorbed the entire force of the hit and fell down to the floor.

  “Little bastard...—this is how you treat your benefactor! I will teach you a lesson. You need to respect your elders!” Ye Qing started to punch and kick Ye Bai.

  “You! Demon you are hitting a little kid! You got no morals!” I kept struggling and avoiding him the best I could. I punched him with all of my strength.

  Ye Qing was surprised. What the hell is wrong with this kid! Ye Qing thought. “I keep limiting my power at the Mortal Realm, 3rd rank, yet he can endure the beating. If I didn’t use my martial arts training on him, and he doesn't even know how to really fight, we would be evenly matched! What a monster, reaching the Mortal Realm 3rd rank at only 4 years old.”

  Ye Qing kept laughing while beating me up.

  Damm, damn, damn, this is so frustrating. He's harnessing his strength on purpose. Ye Bai thought as he managed to restrain Ye Qing from smashing him in the moment. Think, think, there must be something I can do... Copy! I expanded my soul while fighting Ye Qing, trying to view and understand his movements. Analysing him, foot, legs, torso, arms, hand…

  30 minutes later.

  “This kid is starting to copy my moves!” Ye Qing was surprised by this. This kid is insane, a genius! Where is he from? Who were his parents—this kind of talent is impossible to be from the Skyfall City, could his parents be from the Imperial City?

  It was almost time for today’s executions, Ye Qing got everything ready. After some time, twenty guards brought ten men together, they seemed to belong to the same faction. Ye Qing as usual, asked everyone their name and their last will and testament. He killed them the same way as always, choking them with his bare hands. When he was done he placed all of the bodies inside a big wooden box. Later, someone will come by to pick up the box to burn the bodies.

  Ye Qing went inside the building where Ye Bai was waiting for him next to the table.

  “Uncle Ye, what is there to eat? I don't know how to cook,” I said looking at Ye Qing innocently, acting like the best kid in the world I could.

  Ye Qing moved to the kitchen and began to prepare lunch.

  “It will be ready in a moment.”

  The ‘???’ the System showed me earlier was nagging my mind, so I couldn't wait and asked him.

  “What were the martial arts you were using before?”

  “Fighting Foundation and Movement Foundation.”

  We started to eat, Ye Qing was deep in thought, I also was thinking about the best way to answer his questions the moment he started to ask them.

  Sigh, “I knew the moment I saw you, you were not a normal boy, now with the fight from before it’s clear. I knew from the story you told me that you were not quite truthful, I knew there was a little bit of truth though. What I know for sure is, your origin is uncommon and that clearly you are not from here. I know you have the understanding of a little kid, you lack too much basic knowledge and you are quite stupid, though you possess great potential.”

  Ye Qing looked at me without any evil signals or bad intent, it was a pure expression, it was touching something in my soul, which helped my resolve to tell him some truth. After all he deserves it, he helped me out when I had nothing. I didn't forget what true gratitude was from my previous life.

  “Actually, I don't know who I am, I got no memories at all.” I decided to tell the best truth I could.

  Ye Qing was lost in thought. Sigh, poor kid.

  “I can feel your sincerity in trying to help me out with this token, you told me the bad and the good things about it. Besides, I can see in your eyes you mean no harm to me, death can't escape my grasp.” I said moved by Qing’s token of kindness.

  Qing stood there somewhat stunned. “I cannot tell you the story behind the Ye Clan, I also don't know much about it. Also, it can bring you more harm knowing it. The reason why I wanted to talk to you is for several reasons. You don't belong in this place, you have too much potential. If it was someone else, it would be hard to believe. Fortunately for you I'm a man of the world. I have seen many things during my trips, and I know that they exist out there—little kids like you. Kids born in prolific countries with many resources. Kids which have just turned ten years old, and they are already in the Qi Refining stage. I know it's hard to believe, but it's the truth. I was a dreamer when I was young; allow me to bring you to a higher stage and watch you grow!” Ye Qing bursted out his most internal desire from when he was young. There was something in this kid that made Qing want to dream again, he wanted to see him grow and advance. He wanted to be a part of it, Ye Qing didn't want to be alone anymore.

  I was stunned by the serious change Ye Qing took, I didn't expect him to be so passionate and so resolute with this. It was clear he had much passion and many dreams unrealized from a young time in his life and they were close to his heart. “A higher stage you said!” I said as I continued to analyse Ye Qing and the situation. There was something inside of me struggling, something inside the Death Core wanted to come out. Something inside of me wanted to crush these higher stages Ye Qing was talking about. I suppressed the feeling to roar but now I knew what it was! Pride! Death is above everything! Everything below death is trash!

  “GOOD!!! LET'S DO IT!” I stood and shouted arrogantly with my newfound pride.

  “GOOD!” Ye Qing also stood and shouted.

  To Ye Qing, it was clear that this kid was not a normal existence—he knew he was not a normal human being, perhaps a reincarnated immortal, perhaps a fallen deity. He didn't know for sure, but one thing he believed was in the monstrous potential this kid in front of him had.
