“I love it,” he said, holding it a moment before setting it on the nightstand and tugging me toward him. “You’re full of surprises, Mr. Foley.”
Then, because I’d said it so many times before… I did so again. “There’s more where that came from. Guess you’ll have to stick around a while to find out what I’ll do next.”
“No more illusions?” Remi’s fingers snaked through the back of my hair.
“No more illusions,” I promised.
“Good. Because I kind of love you, you beautiful bastard.”
I grinned just as my heart swelled in my chest. “I love you too.”
“Prove it.” He wiggled his eyebrows.
With a growl, I entrapped him in my arms and seized his lips. Three months ago, I would’ve never thought I’d be in that place, kissing the man I loved and being so damn happy that I could burst with it. I surrendered to Remi in every way. I trusted him wholeheartedly.
“I can never get enough of you,” Remi said between kisses as I guided him to the bed. “I never want you to stop touching me, Jay.”
“Careful what you wish for, darlin’.” The back of his legs hit the edge of the mattress, and he fell backward, taking me with him. “You might just be stuck with me forever.”
He caressed my cheek, his eyes crinkling with a smile. “Forever sounds pretty good to me.”
It did to me too.
