Blue Persuasion

I grasped the Hershey’s and painted my lips. Some dripped down my chin.
His fingers plunged deeper as his wicked thumb strummed my clit. He kissed and licked his way up my chin and then bit and savored the chocolate off my lips.
“I need you inside me,” I moaned. “Please.”
“I want to try a different position. I think you might be able to cum this way.”
“Okay,” I said, sitting up.
He lay down on his back in the middle of the bed, situating a towel underneath him. “Climb on top of me, covering my body with yours, lying down with your legs straight.”
I draped my body over Tate, my legs between his, and lifted my hips, angling him home.
“Yesss,” he hissed. He had to bend up for his mouth to reach my lips.
I held his head as he used my hips to shift my body up and down over his cock.
“Is it hitting the right spot?” he mumbled into my mouth.
“Oh my god, yes! I’ve never done it this way before.”
He rammed into me and said, “Good. Kiss me again.”
Back and forth, I slid against the ridge of his pelvic bone, my clit sparking against the friction on each pass. The length of his cock filled me and his girth stimulated my G-spot. But the best part of all was his mouth on mine, his kiss, his taste, breathing in his exhale. His dark eyes held mine, and I never felt more connected to another in my whole life.
He broke away from another steamy kiss and scorched me with his eyes. “Tell me you won’t let Bond touch you,” he pleaded.
“Tate, I...” I’m falling in love with you. “Only you.”
He grunted and then plundered my mouth, making my lips swollen with his fervor.
“Ohhh, I’m getting close,” I groaned.
He stopped moving his hips and said, “Wait for it.”
“Oh hell!” I felt dizzy with desire, my heart pounding frantically for release.
“Do you think you would ever trust me enough to flip you over? I think you would cum that way too.”
“I don’t know,” I said, touching his cheek. Maybe one day, if you ever love me back.
He circled his hips under me and resumed riding me up and down over his body. “Cum for me, Blue. Eyes on me the whole time.”
“Tate, ohhh, please, I don’t know if I can take— Holy fucking hell!” Every cell in my body contracted, trapping the air in my lungs. My feet flexed, toes curled, and then a scream tore out of me, “Ahhh, Tate, ahhh!” My body convulsed on top of him and around his cock.
“Blue, yesss!” he yelled, finding his own fulfillment. He jerked into me several times and then melted into the bed. His hand smoothed down my head, holding me with his other arm.
I breathed against his neck, floating in the afterglow. My pussy continued to spasm around him.
“Intense aftershocks,” he whispered. “I can feel them.”
“Mmmhmm.”
“Should we have a drink before your bath?”
“I don’t want to move yet.”
He chuckled, rocking us up and down on the bed with his laughter. “Okay.” He wrapped both arms around me and pulled me in tight.
I felt his breath in my hair and surrounded by his energy, I never wanted to move. I sighed and kissed his neck.
“We don’t have much more time,” he said, peering down at me.
“Okay, okay.” Pushing myself up on his chest, his cock slipped out of me, his cum dripping down. Using the other towel, I dried him and myself off. “You’re soft this time.”
“The orgasm was incredible.”
I smiled. “Do you want a beer?”
“Sure. I’ll run the bath.”
“Okay.” I kissed him and left the room. Wrapping my arms around myself, I stood with the fridge open, staring at the contents but not seeing them. I still felt discombobulated from the intense orgasm and our forged connection. I couldn’t fathom letting him go, and I prayed I would never have to. Some things you never recover from, and I felt certain I would never recover from the loss of Tate.
“Coming?” he called to me from the bathroom.
“Yeah, coming.” I drank a glass of water and then opened a beer and a margarita. After traipsing to the bathroom, I handed Tate his drink and took a sip of my own.
“Step in,” he said, holding out his hand to help lower me down.
“Oh, it feels so good. I haven’t taken a bath in years.”
Sitting on the rim of the tub, he said, “Can you hand me the soap? Thanks.” He lathered up the bar and started on my shoulders and neck, massaging as he washed my skin.
“Ohhh,” I moaned.
He ran his soapy hands down my arms and then under them. “Scoot forward.”
I did and he stepped into the tub behind me. “What are you doing?”
“It’ll be easier for me to clean your front if I’m sitting behind you.”
“I don’t think you’ll—” I guffawed.
He inserted himself under me, lifting me onto his lap and legs. The bathwater spilled over the side of the tub. “I’ll clean that up after we’re done.”
Sandwiched between his heat and the warm water, I sighed. “You’re spoiling me.”
“That’s the plan.”
So many responses whipped through my head, and I discarded them all. He clearly planned to make me fall and being so far gone already, I knew the battle was lost. What he hadn’t counted on was that I planned to persuade him to fall back.
His hands floated over and between my breasts, then down my stomach. He shifted his legs under me. “When we go away together, we must stay in a place with a big tub. This is ridiculous.” His comment didn’t keep him from cleaning my private bits, which caused me to blush.
I flipped over and hung my arms around his neck. “I’m going to drain the tub and start the shower.”
“I get to wash your hair.”
“Okay.” I stood between his legs and pulled him up to me. We both almost slipped, but he caught us by bracing his arm against the wall and holding me up with the other. “Thank you. That gave my stomach a whirl.”
“Mine too. For a second I thought we were both going down and not the fun kind.”
I chuckled. “Right.” I backed into the flow of the shower and wet my hair.
Sensuously, he worked the shampoo in, making sure to keep the suds out of my eyes. “Have I told you how much I love your silky auburn hair?”
“No and thank you. I have the same hair color as my mother’s sister, Helena. In middle school, I dyed it jet black because I hated it. Now I love it.”
“It’s the perfect match to your sultry blue eyes.” He led me back into the shower stream and rinsed my hair.
“You sure are full of compliments tonight.”
“Just to be more forthcoming with my thoughts.”
Yay!
“It was great to watch the boys admire you without feeling jealous. I got to see you in a new light.” After he rinsed off, he turned off the shower.
We stepped out and dried off.
“I’d loan you a robe but—” I laughed so hard I couldn’t finish the sentence.
He laughed with me as he used our towels to dry the bathroom floor.
Back in the bedroom, I dressed in a pair of black jeans and a sleeveless top and Tate redressed in the clothes he wore over. Checking the clock on my nightstand, I saw that it was close to the time I needed to leave.
When we walked out into the living room, Tate said, “Do you mind if I finish my beer before I take off?”
I shrugged. “That’s fine. Just lock the door behind you. Please don’t be mad at me.”
He hugged me. “If you keep your promise, I’ll be okay.”
I gathered my keys and wallet. “Why don’t you crash here, and I’ll come here after we’re done?”
“I won’t sleep waiting for you.”
“Tate...”
“Do what you need to do. Just keep your promise. I’d be happy to drop you off and pick
you up.”
“No, that’s fine. I’ll meet you at your place later.”

Clarity

I pulled in the parking lot at the Crobar and texted Bond.
Me: I’m here.
Bond: Come in and see me.
Me: Okay.
I yanked on the heavy club door just as someone was pushing out. “Oops, sorry,” I said, stepping out of their way.
Inside, the lights flashed across the dance floor and Gooey by Glass Animals thumped against the walls. Even at that late hour, there were still plenty of people gathered around the central bar. I waved to Frank and headed to the deejay booth.
Bond smiled as I approached and gathered me up in a bear hug. “Thanks, Blue. You’re the best.”
Stepping back I said, “Is she still here?”
“Yeah, she’s working the bar in the front room.”
“What can I do? What happened?”
“Hang on a second.” Bond paced away and said something to a young, gangly guy. The guy nodded and walked over to me, Bond following behind.
“Clint, Blue, Blue, Clint. He’s going to cover for me for a few songs.”
“Hey,” I said as Bond grabbed my arm, pulling me along with him.
Outside the club, he said, “Can we hang in your car? I need a break from the noise.”
“Sure.” I clicked the remote to unlock Tate’s Jeep.
“What’s this?” Bond asked.
“It’s Tate’s. I’m just borrowing it. I finally gave in and am getting the door fixed on my pile of junk.” I climbed in and so did Bond, his brow furrowed.
“What?”
“So things are progressing.” His hand reached out and caressed my neck.
I shrugged and rested back into his palm. “I guess. They’re definitely progressing on my end. He’s sharing more of himself with me, but the edge always feels so close.”
“You’re not staying over tonight, are you?”
“I’m sorry, Bond, I’m not. I don’t think I can have sex with both—”
He seemed a little lost and his eyes looked sad. “I get it.”
“I’m not abandoning you.” I reached across the console and touched his thigh. “Tell me what’s going on.”
“Rory cornered me the other day and told me all about the soulmate thing. Not that I buy into that shit but if I did, my soulmate would be Jacqs.”
For once, his words of praise for Jacqs over me didn’t stab my heart. “I understand. So?”
“So she threw herself at me in the back of the club and I ... well, you know I’m not one for tons of self-control, so I kissed her back. She surprised me.”
“That’s it? I mean I’m not saying that’s a good idea or anything, but nothing else happened?”
“No. I took her by the shoulders and pulled her off me. I said I was sorry and that it wasn’t going to happen again.”
I turned in my seat toward Bond and brought my knees up. “What aren’t you telling me?”
“I can’t stop thinking about her. She doesn’t make it easy, either. She rivals me as a flirt and if I don’t give her attention, she flirts with someone else in front of me. She insists she’ll stop doing it once I change my mind. She told me she wants me to have her body to use as I like. She says she needs a big, strong man to dominate her. She wants to be my slut.” He shifted in his seat to face me.
“She even said she was up for a threesome with you and me. She says she’ll take whatever she can get. There’s so many reasons why it couldn’t work. She’s too young, we work together, although she said she would quit if that were the reason. Plus, there’s you and Jacqs, and I’m getting too old to juggle so many relationships.”
“Holy fuck, dude, now you’re the one in serious trouble.”
He rubbed his forehead and said, “I know.”
“Sounds like, at the very least, you and she are sexually compatible. More than Jacqs?”
“Yeah,” he said, glancing up.
“I don’t know what’s going to happen with Tate but for now, I’ve promised him no sleepovers and no sex.”
“Wow. Is that a good idea?”
I looked down at my hands, fiddling with the hem of my shirt. “No, it’s the worst idea in the history of the world, but the truth is...” I paused and glanced up. “I only want him now.”
“You’re in love.”
I nodded. “I wish I could be a buffer for you in this case, but I can’t. Maybe you should give Rory a shot. Maybe she can help you get over Jacqs.”
“And you.”
“Seriously?” I said in disbelief.
“The last few months together, we’ve grown so close. Of course, it’s a loss. In some ways, I’m closer to you than Jacqs. We tell each other everything.”
“Damn,” I said, tears spilling down my cheeks.
“I didn’t mean to make you cry.” He opened his arms to me, and I climbed over the console into his lap. He kissed me, and I let him. Then he held me as I cried.
Once my tears had run their course, with a shuddered breath I asked, “What are you going to do?”
He wiped my cheeks. “I need to talk to Jacqs before I do anything. This situation will be different.”
“Ouch.” That time it hurt. My raw heart ached.
“Jesus, Blue. I’m so sorry.”
“At least it’s happening to us at the same time, right?”
“I’m going to miss this.” He hugged me tightly.
“Me too.”
CHAPTER EIGHTEEN
One And Only
by Adele
I drove back to my place in a daze. Inside, I gathered a set of my work clothes for The Chart House, a bathing suit, and my overnight cosmetic bag. In the bathroom, I noticed a new Post-It note in the center of the mirror. It read: Spend all your free time with a half-breed American Indian with a bad attitude. I laughed out loud but then felt fear spiral out from my gut. The image of a wicked spider luring me into a web to be swallowed up later reared its ugly head. I gave myself a dirty look above the note and headed out.
When I arrived at Tate’s, I knocked on his door and waited. Once the door swung open, I dropped my bag and threw myself at him.
“What is it? Did Bond hurt you? You look like you’ve been crying.”
“No, yes, I mean, not like you think. Can we go sit on the beach and talk?”
“Of course.” My hand firmly in his, he carried my bag into the living room and dropped it on our way out to the deck. He led me down the stairs onto the beach. I kicked off my sandals and followed him closer to the water. He hugged me tightly before we lowered down onto the sand. “So tell me what happened.” In the moonlight, I could see the firm set of his jaw and the tension around his eyes.
“What I’m going to share has to—”
“I would never betray your trust.”
I believed him. Facing him, I hugged my knees in front of me. “There’s a young woman working at Bond’s club who believes she’s his soulmate. I met her there a week or two ago. She actually asked for my help in getting Bond’s attention.” I shook my head at the memory. “Anyway, she’s definitely gotten his attention.”
“So you’re upset and jealous?” His frown deepened. “Did you kiss him?”
“Please don’t be mad. He did kiss me and I kissed him back, once, and then he held me as I cried.”
“You were crying because it’s over between you and Bond?” he whispered, not quite sounding like himself.
“Yes and no. Before he told me about her, Rory, I told him about me. About us... How I couldn’t possibly continue to have—” I cut off my words, frightened they would send Tate running away.
“Finish what you were going to say.”
“No.”
“Yes,” he said, gripping my upper arms and drawing me closer.
I closed my eyes and shook my head.
“I want to hear it. Look at me.”
My eyes watered as I hoo
ked into his gaze. “I only want you and couldn’t possibly have sex with him or anyone else.”
He breathed out heavily, leaving me waiting for the consequences of my confession. “How did he hurt you?”
“I was crying because Bond and I were saying goodbye to what we’ve had together and because of you and me. At some point, I’m going to need more, and you won’t give it to me. It feels like that moment is careening forward, and I can’t do anything about it.”
“Shhh. I’m right here.”
For how long? “Bond said he needed to let Jacqs know about Rory.”
“That’s what hurt?”
I nodded. “Yeah.”
“That’s understandable.” He looked out over the horizon and then back at me. “I’m not happy that you kissed Bond.”
“I don’t know what to say. I love Bond. I always will, but he doesn’t have my heart.” Holding Tate’s gaze, my heart beat wildly.
“Okay, good. Come here.”
I moved onto his lap, and he embraced me to his chest.
“No more kissing,” he whispered into my hair.
“I’ll miss your soft, full lips and your wicked tongue,” I said with a playful frown.
He peered down at me with smiling eyes and licked his lips. His fingers wove into my hair as he angled my mouth to his.
I lost myself in his arms as his lips possessed me.
His kisses were tender but adamant. He broke away from my mouth and kissed my eyes and my forehead. “Are you tired?”
“I’m exhausted.”
“Let’s get you to bed.”
The next day I awoke alone in Tate’s bed. I brought his pillow to my face and breathed in. There was nothing better than his smell. I stood, stretching up to elongate my back and rolled my neck from side to side. Padding naked through the house, I saw Tate, sitting in his robe, on the deck.
He waved me over.
I sat on his lap and covered my mouth. “I haven’t brushed my teeth yet.”
He hardened underneath me. “Do you want coffee? Are you hungry?”
“No.”
“Good. Go get freshened up. I need to take you again, hard.”
