Sexy Love

“I know, it’s a shock for me too,” I reply. “I dunno why but…it just happened.”

  “Before or after the kiss?”

  “After.”

“She must have been a good kisser.”

I smile, “she is, but that’s not it. We just really connect, y’know? I can’t explain it but she feels like the perfect girl for me. We can really talk to each other and she shared a lot of things with me last night.”

“What sort of things?” he asks interested.

I feel embarrassed, not wanting to share it all with him in case Starlet is hoping it stays between us.

“Just stuff about her past,” I answer vaguely, “but it’s cool that she trusts me.”

“Still seems too much too soon,” he says unsurely. “Is she in love with you too?”

“I dunno, maybe,” I answer, wondering if she is.

She did act all dreamy last night so she could be feeling the exact same way about me too. My heart feels like its melting just thinking about it.

“It does feel like I’m going too far,” I admit. “I feel like I’m going crazy and I want to be with her all the time. Seriously, what’s with that? I don’t want to turn into one of those clingy boyfriends who have to be with them 24/7. It’s so not cool.”

He laughs, “that would be hilarious. Hopefully you won’t forget about your mates now you’re all love struck.”

“There’s no way I’d do that,” I insist. “We’ll still hang out. How else will you get the girls without your wingman?”

He smiles a little at my joke, but I can tell he’s a little worried that Starlet being my girlfriend could change things, “I hope so, dude.”

After work, I’m half-watching TV at the flat while thinking about how I’m going to break the news to Carl. I hope he really isn’t going to kick off about it and he’ll just accept it.

I look up when I hear him enter the flat and see that he’s already not in a good mood.

“Is it true?” he asks me. “Are you and Starlet together?”

I look down at the floor awkwardly, “Yeah…I was gonna tell you when you got in. Who told you?”

I start to feel annoyed, wondering if Mick has let it slip even though he agreed not to.

“I heard it from Steph this afternoon. Apparently there’s been rumours going around for a while, but now everyone seems to know that you two are together.”

I sigh, wishing everyone wasn’t so nosy. This relationship is between me and Starlet, not the whole building.

He sits down on the sofa beside me, “How long has this been going on?”

“I took her out on a date the night before my trip,” I confess to him. “We had a second date when I got back last night and then I asked her out. We’ve only been officially going out for less than a day.”

He looks surprised at my confession about the first date, “I had no idea all that was going on. So I guess you weren’t out with Mick those two nights?”

I know he disapproves of me lying to him and I feel guilty, “No, I’m sorry I lied.”

He looks a little sad that I’ve been hiding stuff from him. We’re not just brothers, we’re best friends too. We’ve always been close, ever since we were little, and I usually tell him everything…but not this time.

“I couldn’t tell you the truth ‘cause I knew you’d be pissed off and stop me seeing her,” I tell him honestly.

“So why did you do it even though I told you not to,” he asks disappointed.

“I don’t have to do everything you say,” I argue. “I know you’re my boss but this isn’t about work. What I do outside it is my business.”

“I really hope it stays that way. This better not get in the way of work,” he warns, “and I don’t want anything happening while you’re both on the job.”

  “It won’t,” I promise.

“I just don’t understand why you had to do this. You can hook up with any random girl outside here, so why her?”

“This isn’t about me getting off with someone,” I answer, feeling angry. “Starlet means a lot to me. We’re not just having some silly fling or short term romance. I want a serious relationship with her.”

“Really? I thought you didn’t have time for those?”

He’s really hit a sore spot there, “You know why none of my relationships lasted!” I snap. “It’s not ‘cause I’m jumping from one girl to the next. It’s because work always gets in the way or has to come first, just like it did with Nicola.”

I feel sad as I think back to my ex-girlfriend. She was devastated when I had to choose work over her and we ended up breaking up. Carl knows about it so I don’t know why he’s bringing it up and accusing me of being a player.

“Things are different with Star,” I insist. “I want to make sure it works out this time.”

“And why is that?” he asks, not believing me.

“Because I’ve fallen for her,” I admit.

There’s a stunned silence and I feel shy at what I’ve just blurted out.

“You’re in love with her?” he asks, still looking surprised.

  “Yeah, is that a problem?”

“No, of course not,” he looks down guiltily. “I’m sorry. I didn’t realise you felt so strongly about her. Now I understand why you went against my judgement.”

“So you’ll accept that we’re together?”

“Okay,” he agrees, defeated, “but I still think it’s a bad idea. You have to realise how complicated it will get if you two have an argument or break up. You’ll need to come in the next day and work together as if nothing’s happened. Do you really think both of you can do that?”

“I’m sure I can handle it,” I promise, although it breaks my heart to think what would happen if Starlet and I did ever break up.

“Good, because there’s no way I’m losing you or Starlet through an emotion matter,” he says. “You are one of my best employees and Starlet’s showing great potential too. It would be a shame to throw that away.”

“You won’t have to,” I say. “Things will be exactly the same as they’ve always been. I’ll still work hard and Star will too once she’s finished training. Whatever’s happening with us will stay outside of work like I promised.”

“Okay,” he looks relieved. “Just make sure it does.”

After dinner, I send a text message to Starlet, hoping we can talk so I can warn her that Carl knows about us:

Hey Star, can I c u tonite? I really need to talk to u about something Xxxxx

  She replies back right away:

Yeah sure, Im free. Just come round any time xxxxx

I quickly type in a reply before setting out of the door: Cool. I’ll b right over xxxxx

It only takes me a minute to walk over to her flat and she answers as soon as I knock.

“Hi,” she greets me with one of her pretty smiles.

“Hi Star,” I reply, feeling really happy to see her and go in for a kiss.

It feels just as good as it did last night and we eventually stop kissing and go into her flat.

“So what’s so important?” she asks as we sit on the sofa together.

“Carl found out about us,” I tell her. “I never told him about our dates ‘cause he didn’t like me tryin’ to get with you. I was gonna tell him about us today but he heard it from someone else first.”

She looks a little anxious, “what did he say about it?”

“He’s pretty annoyed at me for going against what he said,” I reply, “but he finally accepted that we’re together and I think he’s okay with it now.”

  “That’s good.”

“He wants us to act professionally at work, so that means we can’t kiss or anything during work hours,” I say. “I know we shouldn’t but I bet it will be hard.”

“It’s fine. We need to anyway,” she says, not fazed by it. “We have to stay focused, plus we’ll be pretty busy and have missions to do, so I guess we won’t have time for other stuff.”

&n
bsp; “I guess you’re right,” I agree. “I promised him we would keep our relationship outside of work… but he says that if we do have any problems then we have to just carry on as normal.”

“I’m sure I can,” she says, although she looks a little troubled. “Do you think I should go and speak to Carl about it? Just so he knows that everything’s fine?”

“Maybe not,” I tell her. “I don’t think he really wants to discuss our relationship, especially when it’s with me. I think he trusts you to do everything right, it’s just me he was nervous about.”

  “Okay, if you’re sure.”

I start to feel nervous, “You don’t mind all this, do you?” I ask, hoping that the issue of Carl and all the work stuff won’t put her off wanting to be with me.

“No, it’s fine,” she reassures me. “We’ll handle it.”

I smile, feeling so lucky to have an amazing girlfriend like her.

“I’ve missed you. I know we only saw each other last night,” I say, hoping I don’t sound clingy, “but I love it when we hang out.”

“Me too,” she says and snuggles up to me happily. “It was great last night and I still can’t believe I have an amazing boyfriend like you.”

I feel touched, “aww, thanks. That’s sweet, and I’m totally happy you’re my girlfriend too.”

We kiss on the sofa for a while and I feel so relieved to finally be with her again. At least I won’t get any more cravings until I have to leave.

  Chapter 8

Starlet has her last day of training four weeks later and I can’t wait to celebrate her qualifying once she’s finished for the day. Luckily, Carl mentions that he’ll be out working until late and I feel so happy that we’ll be able to have the flat to ourselves. I take my chance and ask Starlet over to the flat to eat pizza and watch a movie, so we can spend some time alone together.

Starlet is buzzing with excitement when I see her later on, feeling happy to finally be one of us and start real freedom fighter work tomorrow. She agrees to come over and I feel excited as we walk there together. I’ve tidied the flat especially and made sure I looked good enough, getting my hair style perfect and putting on some expensive cologne.

Starlet is wearing ordinary clothes, just a t-shirt and skinny jeans, but the way they both cling to her body and show off her figure make it look so sexy.

We don’t even get to watch a movie or order a pizza at first. She’s so irresistible that I pull her onto the sofa with me. She giggles and snuggles up to me and I put my arms around her, looking into her eyes. I run my fingers through her hair and kiss her lips. She kisses me back and slips her arms around my neck.

We’re soon making out and it feels great. It’s amazing having her lips on mine and snuggling her close as we lay across the sofa. We start to kiss a little more passionately as I do open-mouth kissing. This feels even better and my hands slide down her back. I run my fingers along it, feeling myself go harder when my fingertips brush over the clip of her bra, which is hiding beneath her t-shirt. I want to take it off so badly but I know that’s too forward right now.

I quickly drop my hands down to her waist instead, but I can’t help slipping them under where her t-shirt is coming up and feeling her slim waist. I run my fingers over it, loving the way it curves, and she sighs a little as we continue kissing, enjoying my touch.

Just hearing her sigh like that makes me more excited and I want her even more. I pull her waist even closer to me so there’s no gap between us at all. We’re still open mouth kissing, so I know I can get a chance to French kiss her like I’m longing to.

I carefully slip my tongue into her mouth as we kiss, find hers and brush against it softly. She responds, brushing against mine too until we’re having the best French kiss ever. She moans a little with pleasure, although it’s a little muffled from our kiss.

I return to open mouth kissing again. I want to stay French kissing her forever, but I know that doing it too long will start to get too sloppy and wet. We keep returning to a few seconds of French kissing before taking a break of normal kissing.

I’m just enjoying feeling her tongue against mine again when I hear the flat door open unexpectedly. I jump away from Starlet in surprise, my heart beating fast. I turn and see that Carl has entered the flat and is now staring at me and Starlet in shock.

Luckily he doesn’t make a scene. He just politely says hi to both of us, his face red with embarrassment of finding me making out with someone. Then he quickly escapes to his bedroom and we’re left alone again.

I look over at the clock, feeling dazed that I misjudged time for when he was coming back. I realise Carl is back earlier than he said, but I’m surprised to see that me and Starlet have been making out for a whole hour and thirty minutes.

We don’t try to continue our make out session, because we’re too nervous about Carl walking in on us again; so we finally watch the movie and eat.

There’s an awkward tension at breakfast with Carl the next morning. I know he’s still embarrassed that he walked in on me and Starlet making out last night and he’s annoyed at me for letting it happen.

“I’m sorry,” I apologise, feeling a little guilty. “I know things were a bit weird last night…”

“I’m just not so happy about her coming around here,” he tells me. “Do you know how awkward it was walking in on you two?”

“I know. I’m sorry about that. You were working and I thought we’d have the place to ourselves. She was going to leave before y’ came back.”

“And don’t even think about doing it on the sofa or anywhere else,” he warns me. “Stick to your bedroom.”

“We weren’t doing anything last night,” I tell him honestly. “We were just kissing, I swear.”

Okay, so maybe I was secretly tempted to have sex with her on the sofa last night, since our make-out session felt so good. I wasn’t sure whether I should try last night because I didn’t want Starlet to think I was trying to take advantage of her. We haven’t really talked about doing it yet.

“And I will stick to my room, there’s no way you’re walking in on that,” I add.

  Chapter 9

We all have to attend a team meeting the next morning and I’m totally knackered. Carl woke me up in the night to ask me to do some emergency hacking and I didn’t finish until three o’clock in the morning. I just want to finish sleeping in bed, but I cheer up when I get to see Starlet.

Carl informs us all about Snider’s new plans and we get ready to take action. I want to go work with Starlet, but Carl isn’t letting that happen and makes me go to boring meetings instead.

When I finally arrive back that evening on my motorbike, Starlet is waiting outside for me. She’s sitting on the low wall and looks really hot. I take off my helmet and give her a wink. She comes over to greet me and I smile, giving her a hug and feeling tired.

We catch up, discussing work we’ve done today and then I tell her about an important mission I’m going on tomorrow night and ask if she wants to help out.

“That’ll be cool,” she agrees, her eyes shining excitedly.

“You’ll need to wear all black, it helps to camouflage when you’re hiding in the shadows and it makes you harder to spot in the dark,” I advise her, “and remember your gear, you’re gonna need it.”

I remember that Starlet has her dance show tonight, so I agree to give her a lift on my motorbike and we arrive just in time for her to start getting ready backstage.

I order a drink at the bar and wait for her to come on. When she does I can’t help staring. She’s wearing tight designer sweat pants and a crop top, showing off her slim waist and flat stomach. Her hair has been styled wavy and she’s wearing more make-up.

I hear someone wolf whistle at her as she starts the routine and a few guys are already cheering. I try not to feel jealous because I want people to like Starlet’s dance shows, but I can’t stand them ogling her like she’s a stripper, especially when she isn’t.

  “I’d def
initely bang her,” I hear some older guy comment to his friend and that’s when I snap.

“Hey, that’s my girlfriend you’re talking about,” I tell him, annoyed.

  He just grins, “lucky you.”

I ignore him and watch the show, trying to resist the urge to punch anyone who I think is perving on her too much.

She finishes the last song with a flip into splits and everyone claps in amazement. I didn’t even know she could do those sorts of moves and I’m impressed.

She goes off stage and I set off through backstage to see her. I try to go into the small dressing room that she’s using but the bar manager stops me.

“Where do you think you’re going?” she asks disapprovingly.

“I’m here to see Starlet,” I tell her. “She’s my girlfriend.”

“Sure she is,” she replies, making it clear she doesn’t believe me. “Starlet isn’t greeting any fans right now so please go back to the bar.”

“If you don’t believe me then ask her,” I say, annoyed at being treated like some pervy starker.

She rolls her eyes but knocks on the door just so she can prove her point. Starlet answers and smiles at me, her make-up washed away now that the show is over.

“This young man here says he’s your boyfriend,” the manager tells her quietly. “Should I call security?”

Starlet can’t help but grin, “no, it’s fine. This is Rickie, I told him to meet me back here once I was done.”

I can’t help but smirk at the disbelief on the bar manager’s face.

“Oh,” she replies, flushing a little with embarrassment. “Well don’t come wandering back here again. You need permission from me first.”

Starlet pulls me into the dressing room as the manager walks away and we both laugh.

“You were totally amazing tonight,” I say, putting my hands around her waist.
