  Merry was saying more, but it was lost to Emma. The crowd seemed to believe in what she was saying, cheering her on. Merry, who hadn't talked to more than a handful of people in ten years, was taking full advantage, and working a desperate crowd, like Emma had never seen a seasoned politician do.

  She was shocked as Merry's every word was worshiped by her new followers. She had heard of none of this, and she wondered if her sister even believed in what she was saying. But the crowd seemed to, and that was all that mattered.

  Emma wondered how she'd managed to brainwash them so quickly, and what this new development would mean for their future.
