  Coming Fall 2015

I should have resisted him, but I couldn’t. My addiction to him was all-consuming, the high from his touch unlike any other.

  Without him, I couldn’t focus, couldn’t think, couldn’t breathe.

With him, I hated myself for being too weak to fight the devil himself.

And Tyler Burnham was the devil.

  He used me.

  He lied to me.

But he loved me. And he still does.

Unable to stop thinking about the man who deceived her, Mackenzie Delano struggles to move on and forget that Tyler Burnham ever walked into her life. But she still aches for him, despite his betrayal. Her mind is at war with her heart, a war that could be the difference between living and dying.

Tyler Burnham is lost without Mackenzie. As he contemplates the meaning of everything, he tries to find a way to prove that his feelings for her are true. That he would walk through fire to keep her at his side. That he would sacrifice it all…his career, his fortune, his life…to protect her.

The truth is, he may just have to…

Writing these acknowledgements seems to get more and more difficult as I write more and more books. There have been so many people that have been absolutely crucial to the journey that I’ve been on the past year-and-a-half that a simple thank you in my latest release seems so inadequate, but it’s all I’ve got.

First and foremost, a big thank you to my wonderful beta readers who are always brutally honest with me regarding what works, what doesn’t, and when they wanted to throttle Mr. Alexander Burnham. Lynn Ayling, Melissa Crump, Karen Emery, Lea James, Natalie Naranjo, Natasha Rochon, Victoria Stolte, Stacy Stoops, and Kimberly Twedt… You are all amazing and I value your input more than words can express. I promise once I’m done writing these acknowledgements, I’ll get back to writing Slaying The Dragon so y’all can read that.

My wonderful editor, Kim Young, the only woman I’ll ever trust with any of my manuscripts. Thank you for always working your magic and treating my baby as if it were your own.

To my admins that keep me sane and manage my social media so I can spend more time writing and less time on Facebook, Twitter, etc (even though we all know I can’t stay away)… Lea, Victoria, and Melissa thanks for your help in running my page when I can’t. And a very special thanks to Joelle for helping these girls keep the street team organized!

On that note, to my fantastic street team, thank you for all your tireless efforts in helping to spread the word about my books. If it weren’t for all your time that you so selfishly volunteer, I would never have even imagined I’d be where I am now, so I thank you.

A special thanks to Sylvia for reading this early for me and being my guru on all things Spanish, and to Tiffany for proofreading this bad boy!

To my amazing husband, Stan. I knew your expertise in firearms and weaponry would come in handy one of these days. Thanks for always being a sounding board for me to talk through storylines… And helping with “research”. I really like research.

To all you amazing bloggers who help spread the word about my work, thank you, thank you, thank you! It still blows my mind that you all do what you do out of the kindness of your heart. Your dedication to reading and promoting authors has made my decision to remain independent a very easy one.

Last but not least, thank you to my readers, for taking a risk on a no-name indie author and falling in love with the characters I’ve created. I write for you, so thank you for always keeping me motivated to drive forward. I have book ideas slated through the year 2020 so we’re not done yet.

P.S. - Sorry about the cliffhanger. I promise I’ll get Slaying The Dragon to all of you as soon as I possibly can.
