Love
by Madhu Kalyan Mattaparthi
Love is you.
Love is me.
Love is something you can't see.
Love is nice.
Love is sweet.
Love will sweep you off your feet.
Love is soft.
Love is best.
You can feel love in your chest.
Love is great.
Love is kind.
Love is always on my mind.
Love is special.
Love you cherish.
My love for you will never perish.
You Will Always Be My Man
by Ailene Openiano Giray
Sitting by my window counting the days
While longing nagging at me
I'll keep waiting for you as long as I can
I may not see your face and smell the scent of your
skin
Everything and nothing will ever change.
And I will remember your voice and your laughter
Long before it ever happens
You will always be my man
You're the sunshine of my world
And no matter how tomorrow unfolds
You will always be my man.
I can sense you from here,
In all places I shed tears,
My love stays, yes it stays.
Days turn into months and months into years
Until I can no longer remember when
You will always be the one
I kept on coming back to
And no matter how tomorrow unfolds
To the moment in front you stood,
You will always be my man,
Always...my man.
My Friend
by Ailene Openiano Giray
We meet online through the internet
It was so weird but we just clicked
We started with "hi" and "hello"
Warm smiles and bright eyes.
We talked a lot, chatting on WhatsApp
Even Skype helps lessen the gap
Through Gmail we shared our interests
On Gtalk we put up the rest.
Time flew, days comes too soon
Now here we are still going on
Our friendship grows beyond time
Beyond distance, and beyond realms.
A year is near for us to celebrate
The wondrous joys of our friendship
May this be the start of another?
Year after year of our future together.
We may be miles, and miles apart,
This bond of friendship never departs
Forever it stays in my heart always
Warms me all over with a sweet taste.
“You And I”
by Ailene Openiano Giray
You had me when things were rough,
You believed and you never give up,
You pushed me still to reach the top,
You loved me and you just won't stop.
I pushed you so many times away,
I closed the door and there I stay,
I left the world and left you at bay,
I lost everything even my own day.
You promised everything will be all right,
You encouraged me to step in the light,
You held my hand as I take a stride,
You see to it that I will fight.
I was overwhelmed with emotion I feel,
I was suddenly overjoyed for real,
I couldn't believe you and your tale,
I was lucky my gloom you steal.
We have come to an agreement,
We decided to have an engagement,
We took the oath of forever excitement,
We, You and I in our own endearment.
This Love
by Ailene Openiano Giray
Why do I love you?
Kept on asking myself this,
From the moment I set my eyes,
I can’t help but meet your gaze.
You looked at me like you knew,
All the hidden secrets buried deep,
In this heart of mine I had kept,
For ages and ages of sleep.
With you around I couldn’t lie,
All my feelings poured out of my mouth,
Oh how could I, how could I hide,
These feelings already growing inside,
What to do, a damsel I am I know,
Held captive not of war, money or feud.
But of your love so elusive,
I’m afraid I can’t hold.
But dear love I will forever wait,
No matter how many moons or sunsets,
For what I have in my heart for you,
Extends beyond life and after death.
I Am In Love
by Ailene Openiano Giray
Just when I thought I'm ready,
To face my remaining life solely,
You came and throw all away,
All my plans and make your way.
After the if's, but's, and maybe's,
I surrendered to you whole heartedly,
For I know there is no use,
Even if I continually refuse.
For once in my life I believe,
I'll be happy in your arms, I crave,
To feel the warmth of love that saved,
This heart that is long dead.
Feeling you close to me each day,
Makes a rainbow in my sky so gray,
You taught me things that seems ordinary,
And turned them all magically...
Even though ours is unthinkable,
You made it seem like it is possible,
To unite two poles of different people,
And made our ties unbreakable.
Realizing now we are in our journey’s end,
What better way to celebrate than to make
amends,
Cheers to the happiness you have sent,
To thy heart that would burst if contained.

Offering the best of indie authors
