Her hands move to my shaft, stroking me, teasing my balls and making my fucking toes curl as she sucks on my cock. She moans around me, sending a charge right through me that has me gasping for air.

Reluctantly, I pull her away, stopping her protests with my lips on hers. Slowly, I ease her back on the chaise and start to crawl over her.

I wince, and her brow furrows.

“You don’t have one, do you?”

I groan and shake my head. “Nope.”

Addy reaches up and pulls me down until I’m hovering above her utterly perfect body with my erection hot against her belly. She slides a hand into my hair and kisses me, before pulling back.

“I mean, I guess it might’ve been a little off-putting if you had brought one tonight.”

I grin, leaning in to kiss her again. “Look, nothing expected.”

“I-” She blushes this insanely sexy and yet entirely adorable shade of pink. “I still want you. I still really want you.” She chews her lip. “And I’m on birth control.”

“Shit, Addy,” I groan, my willpower crumbling like sand.

“Are you…” She frowns. “I mean, have you ever been-”

“I’ve always used them. Always. And yes, I’ve been tested. All clean.”

She rocks her hips up into me slowly, grinding at me as her hands wrap around my torso. “We could just,” she says and looks up at me. “You know…”

My cock twitches against her skin and she giggles. “I take it that means you're okay with the idea.”

“Only if you are,” I murmur, resting my weight on one hand as I stroke her chin. “Only if you trust me.”

She nods. “I do. I think I’ve always trusted you, actually.”

  “So, you want-”

“I want you to fuck me, Cole,” she husks, her voice thick with need as her hips push into mine. “I want you fuck me like I’ve wanted you to for so long.”

I kiss her fiercely, making her moan as I ease my cock down and against her entrance. She’s slick, and wet - the lips of her pussy teasing the head of my cock as I press into her.

“Just-” she breaks away from my lips. “Just go slow. You’re, uh, you’re really bi-Oooh shit.”

Her jaw goes slack as I ease an inch or two inside, and I groan as I feel her heat envelope me.

“Okay please keep going,” she moans. “Please, Cole.”

The only words I’ve been dying to hear.

I sheathe myself the rest of the way inside in one thrust, and Addy cries out as her nails clutch at my back.

“Fuck!” she moans before my lips crash into hers.

Her legs wrap around my hips as I start to pull out, only to slide myself right back in to the hilt. She moans into my lips, kissing me hungrily and clutching at me as we start to move like that. My hips roll into hers again and again, driving myself inside her perfect, insanely tight pussy as her body shudders under me. Nails scratch at my skin, her thighs clamp tight on my hips, and she kisses my lips hard enough to bruise.

She pulls away, gasping for air and moaning out loud as I start to fuck her harder, pushing deep on every thrust. I slide my hands to her arms and push them up and above her head, my hands gripping her wrists against the back of the chaise lounge as I drive into her again and again.

We move faster and faster, until it’s this mad, unchained dash toward the finish line. It’s a full-out sprint for that release we’ve pretended we didn’t need from each other for years.

And there's no stopping it this time.

Addy breaks first, but I’m not far behind. The cry catches in her throat as her eyes fly open and lock onto mine, hooded in lust.

“I’m going to come,” she gasps, her chest rising and falling, her lips trembling. Her brow crumples, but her eyes never leave mine. “I’m going to come, I’m going to come, I’m going to-”

“Come with me, Addy,” I hiss through clenched teeth. “I want you to come with me right now.”

And then it’s white light, the crashing explosion of release, and everything going blank except the sweet sounds of her climax as her body shudders beneath me. I groan as I pump into her again and again, dropping her wrists and pulling her into me as her arms wrap tight around me.

We slow, gasping for air and letting our bodies slick together as we sink into the chaise.

“What. The. Fuck.” She pants into my ear before it turns into a groaning laugh. “That’s- yeah, that’s not sex.”

I laugh as I ease out of her and collapse into the big chaise. “No? Shit, I think I’ve been lied to, then.”

She giggles as I pull her into me, my arm around her and her chin dropping to my chest. “Yeah, no, that’s something else. That’s way better than sex.”

  “I could not agree more.”

And then we’re kissing. And it’s familiar, and it's comforting, and it’s just simple.

It’s perfection, is what it is.

  Chapter 17

  Addison

At some point, I wake up. The dim lights are still on in the windowless wine cellar, but the house is entirely silent. No distant dancing, or screaming, or DJ music.

Cole’s chest rises and falls beneath me, making me grin sleepily. I pull my head up from his chest, and quickly bring a hand up to wipe away the little sleep drool I’ve left there.

  “You drooling on me, Tanner?”

I jerk my head up to see him grinning at me, the same sleepy expression on his face.

  “What time is it?”

I arch against him, feeling our skin rub together as I stretch my stiff muscles. “I have no idea.”

He pulls away from me for a second, reaching over the side of the lounge for his pants and pulling his cell out of the pocket.

“Holy shit!” He laughs. “Yeah, it’s ten in the morning.”

“Oh my God we are never getting out of here, are we?” I groan as I drop my head back to his chest.

“Nope. They’ll find our mummified bodies years from now. We’ll have to be sure to die in some sort of really complicated sexual position.”

I snort a laugh into his skin.

“So I guess this means you’re not still mad at me about the phone thing?”

I arch a brow at him, trying to hide the grin.

“Well, hmm.” I furrow my brow. “I guess it's a start.”

“It’s a start?” Cole hoots out a laugh. “You’re going to kill me, woman.”

He leans down to kiss me, his arm bringing me tight against him.

“Yeah, no, okay,” I murmur. “I think that makes us even.”

“I think that makes us a lot more than even.”

I nod. “I think so, too.”

“I think I want to keep doing this. I think I never want to stop doing this with you.”

“Redefining my entire perception of sex?”

He grins wolfishly. “Well that, for sure.” He leans in and kisses me again. “But I was going to say loving you.”

I shake my head at him. “Why weren’t you ever this smooth before?”

“Too busy sticking frogs down your dress.”

  I snort. “I mean later.”

“Oh, well, later you were dating a douchebag and slamming doors in my face.”

I roll my eyes before I press my lips to his.

“You know,” Cole says and pulls away from me. “I’m fairly certain Senator Tanner is not going to approve of me.”

“Yeah, well, then he might just have to learn to.” I lean into him again. “Because I love you too, you know.”

Our kiss lingers, growing deeper before I suddenly shriek as Cole starts to tickle me.

  “Uh! You asshole!”

I giggle, tossing my head back and squirming away from him before suddenly my eyes lock on the shelves by the door.

  “Cole- no, hang- wait, COLE.”

He stops, chuckling. “Fine, but I win that round-”

  “What’s that?”

He shifts, his eyes following mine before he goes still.r />
“Oh you’re fucking kidding me.” He sighs, shaking his head and groaning. “That, Addy, is a key.”

And it is. A little gold key hanging on a blue ribbon from a bottle of wine to the side of the door.

“Did you know that was there?”

He says nothing and I whirl toward him.

“Would you be pissed if I said yes?”

My eyes go wide as I lunge for him, giggling. “You are insane!”

“Addy! Addy.” He laughs, fending me off and pulling me tight against him. “I didn’t, I promise.” He winks at me. “But would you be pissed if I had?”

My head’s shaking side to side without a second’s hesitation. “Nope.”

  Cole grins.

“You know,” he says and shrugs. “We don’t actually know if that’s the key to the door.”

  “We could try it?”

“Yeah, we could.” That devilish grin spreads across his cheeks. “Or we could stay here and do more of that thing we did last night before we do.”

Something hot pulses inside of me, and I bite my lip as I slowly move tighter against him.

“We’ll have to check at some point.”

  “Oh, totally, at some point.”

“I mean, we have to eat at some point.”

He nods. “Yeah, and I doubt you want me peeing in the corner.”

  “Hey, you do you.”

He grins. “So, just to clarify though, we agree that we should definitely take advantage of being naked and alone in this room and in this big, comfy, very sexy chaise lounge first?”

“It is a sexy chair,” I say in agreement and nod.

“I think we can make it sexier.”

I gasp as his hands pull me into his lap. His cock is already hard and throbbing against my thigh, and I shiver as the desire pools between my legs.

“First one to tap out buys brunch?”

Cole grins as he pulls me close and kisses me.

  “Deal.”

  Bloodlines: Sneak Peek

  Bloodlines: A Dark Saints Novel

Once upon a time, he was my prince not-so-charming.

Liam Roarke was my first, and I wanted him to be my last. Six years ago, I let him take it all – my v-card, my heart, and my breath away. He was my secret, my temptation… my all-consuming love.

But this is no fairytale, and there are no happy ever afters with life in the Dark Saints – the Irish gang my late father ran. And when it all went bad, the boy I thought I loved sent me packing.

I swore I’d never come back to Boston after that, but that was before I got set up.

That was before I owed the Italian mafia $1 million.

So now I’m back, and signing a devil’s deal - a fake marriage with the douchebag son of the new head of the Saints in exchange for my debts being settled.

Oh, and it turns out, there’s a target on my back that I need protection for - protection in the form of a 24/7 bodyguard with orders to never let me out of his sight….

  Liam, of course.

The cocky, infuriatingly gorgeous, panty-melting temptation I used to love - and the last man I ever wanted to see again.

But I won’t fall for him again. I can’t, actually, or we’re both dead.

So, a debt to the mafia, a target on my back, a fake marriage, and the most wickedly tempting man I’ve ever known shadowing my every move.

  What could possibly go wrong?

  Prologue

  Aela

“Looks like your luck’s run out, Aela.”

Rain pours in sheets outside, crashing like waves against the big factory windows of the old building. Graffiti tags the crumbling brick walls, glowing neon with each flash of lightning outside.

The flash also illuminates the silvery metal of the gun in his hand.

My chest feels tight, like I can’t breathe. My pulse pounds like a drum in my ears as I eye the gleaming metal and the grinning man holding it.

He shakes his head. “Aela, Aela, Aela. What are we going to do with you?”

It’s a rhetorical question. I’m not exactly going to answer with a gag in my mouth.

He lifts the gun, hefting the weight of it in his hand as he steps towards me. Thunder booms outside.

“You know, your father would be so disappointed in you.”

The rage comes flashing to the surface just as the lightning crashes, and I scream at him through the gag. I lunge toward him even though I know it’s a futile gesture, the plastic ties binding my wrists to the chair burn hot as they dig into my skin. My eyes squeeze shut as the fight drains from me.

  He chuckles.

“Headstrong and reckless as ever. You know, that’s what got you into this mess in the first place.”

  It’s not.

He’s what got me into this mess in the first place.

  He’s
the one that set me up.

He’s the reason I’m here, and why my world is shattering around me.

He’s why the man I love is lying bleeding back in the church with a hole in him.

  Love.

Or loved. Or still love. Or maybe it’s “love again.”

It’s a moot point now anyways, though.

This is what I get for coming back here. This is what I get for falling into him and his arms all over again — for letting go, for throwing caution and rational thinking to the wind and letting what always came natural to us carry me away again.

This is what I get for wanting him.

For surrendering myself to the man who already broke me once. For craving his touch. For being addicted to how sinfully dirty he makes me feel, how perfectly bad it is when I’m with him.

The way he shatters my world like he shattered my heart all those years ago.

The tears I’ve been swearing to myself I wouldn’t let this man see — the one holding the gun who stole that away from me — finally trickle from me eyes, trailing hot lines down my cheeks to drip onto the white wedding dress I’m wearing.

He grins smugly, as if my crying is a win for him.

“I want you to know this is nothing personal.”

  He lifts the gun.

The tears are still falling, but I’m screaming in rage at him now. I’m straining against the binds, feeling the blood run hot down my wrists to stain the white dress, and not even caring as I stare fire, rage, and death at the man who’s about to murder me.

The man who took everything I’ve ever loved.

The man who’s leveling a gun at the center of my forehead, about to take the last of me as he slowly shakes his head.
