Somebody to Love Page 26

by Danielle Burton

I shook my head. That wasn’t good enough. “Say it, please. I need you to say it.”

Her fingers shook as she lifted them to my face. In fact, her whole body was now shaking, but one thing that did not waver was her gaze on mine. More confident than I’d ever seen it. “Yes, Keem. I want you to make love to me.”

I took her lips again and she moaned against my mouth. Probably the sweetest sound my ears had ever heard, except her saying my name. I lifted slowly so I could turn us and lay her on top of the comforter stretched across the floor we’d snuggled on top of earlier to watch a movie.

She trembled beneath me, gripping my bicep when my lips trailed to her neck. “Keem.” Her voice, a breathless whisper urged me lower.

I slipped her bra strap off her shoulder and kissed her there, then lower and lower until my lips landed between her breasts. Her heart galloped, breaths shallow.

Her arousal increased mine and I removed her other strap and slid her bra down until her small, soft breasts were free for me to explore. I traced her areola slowly with my tongue, moving closer to her erect nipple with each resolution. I took it into my mouth and her legs squeezed my waist.

My name left her lips in a whimper. She continued to do so as I moved to the other nipple and gave it the same attention.

I was eager to be inside her, but I couldn’t rush this moment. It would be etched in our history, our love solidified by each touch, kiss, and caress.

I reveled in her sweet moans while slowly removing her clothes piece by piece, leaving kisses in my wake until she lay before me, bare and beautiful.

She watched as I too stripped down. I could tell she was nervous by the way she trembled and her arms wouldn’t stay still, moving from her sides to her belly and back again. As much as she was though, I was ten times that. This moment meant more to me than she could possibly know, and I’d make sure it was perfect. For her and for me.

When I was done, I lay next to her on my side, erection brushing her hip.

Her gaze stayed there a moment before trailing up to meet my eyes. All the while she bit her lower lip in a way that said she liked what she saw.

I smiled at her as I gently turned her face to mine and took her lips in a slow kiss. Both our breaths became labored. There, wrapped in each other’s energy, I traced her skin down her neck, past her sternum, then belly, until my fingers reached the soft hairs where her thighs met.

I didn’t have to ask or nudge her legs apart. She spread them on her own, opening just wide enough for me to touch her moistened lower lips. She sighed heavily into the kiss when I grazed her swollen clit and arched into my hand when I circled it.

I felt her hand wrap around my erection and almost broke the contact of our lips I was so caught off guard. I hadn’t expected her to be so bold. But it made me smile. My Sunshine was growing up, coming into her own, developing more confidence. I was proud.

That thought drifted away when Kirby whimpered and snatched out of our kiss to throw her head back and to the side. She gripped the blanket as I increased the speed of my rotation. Flicking my tongue over her nipple caused my name to slip from her lips. I did so again and again and was rewarded with more of the same.

Her breaths grew heavy, body thrashing almost uncontrollably. I knew what was coming so I angled my head to watch her face as I brought her to her climax.

Eyes squeezed shut, mouth frozen in an ‘O’, her back arched nearly a foot off the floor and she came, half whimpering, almost screaming, my name.

I let her recover, watching her lie with her eyes closed as her breathing slowed. That was all the time I gave her before my head was buried between her thighs and she was gripping the blanket again.

There was no almost this time.

Her moans, her whimpers, her running her hand over my head, gripping my shoulders tight while she rode the waves of ecstasy were all things I could get used to, and in a hurry.

While she recovered once more, I grabbed some protection from my wallet and rolled it on before settling between her legs so we were face to face.

Hers bore a smile. “You’re really good at that.” She circled my waist with her arms, moving her hand up and down my back in soft caresses.

I closed my eyes, enjoying her touch. It felt so good, like she was somehow depositing her loving energy into my soul through contact alone. If I had nothing else but her touch I’d be okay.

Leaning down, I kissed her deeply, putting everything I had into the one action so she never had to doubt how much she meant to me. In case that wasn’t enough, I looked into her eyes and uttered the three words I could never get enough of her saying to me. Sometimes I’d tell her just to hear her say it back. “I love you.”

Her arms moved to encircle my neck then she pulled me into another kiss. “I love you too, Keem.”

I kissed her a few more times then positioned myself at her entrance. Shifting my weight to one arm, I took a moment to caress her cheek. “You can stop me at any time, baby. Okay?”

She nodded. “Okay, but I won’t. I want you to make love to me, Keem.”

  I loved those words.

A peck to her lips and a smile. “Ready?”

  Another nod. “Yes.”

I trailed my fingers up and down her arm, lost in the feel of our energies swirling together. I kissed her shoulder and she wiggled deeper into our spoon. My hand moved all the way down to hers where I intertwined our fingers and smiled. Was there something above happiness? Because that word wasn’t enough to describe what I felt.

  “Keem?”

  “Yes, Sunshine?”

  “I love you.”

My smile grew. “I love you, too, beautiful.”

She turned in my arms until she was facing me. We were still naked and her body pressed to mine was reawakening things. “That was amazing.”

“It was.” I kissed her lips softly.

When I moved away she bit the lower one, staring at me. “How long do we have to wait before we can do it again?”

I chuckled at her endearing innocence. Wrapping her in my arms, I rolled so she was on top of me and kissed her deeply. “Not one second.”

My hands were cradling her soft bottom when there was a knock on the door.

Kirby pulled out of our kiss and frowned at it. “What?” Her tone had a little bite to it.

It was Saige’s voice that came through. “Can I come in?”

“No!” we both said in a panic.

There was a pregnant pause. “Well, can you come out? I have something for you.”

I move my hands up to her back. “Guess it’ll have to be more than a second.”

  Kirby poked out her lip.

I kissed it. “Don’t worry. We have the rest of our lives to make love.”

  That made her smile.

We dressed quickly, and I hoped there was no evidence of what we’d been up to as we entered the house through the back door.

Raina and Saige were seated at the table, looking way too serious for my liking.

Kirby’s hand slipped from mine and she stepped to the table. “What’s up?”

Saige pulled a flat-ish white box from beneath the table and handed it to Kirby. Upon closer inspection, I could see some sort of black and white drawings over it and there was a green band across the front.

I leaned over her shoulder as she looked at it, doing the same. The return address in the corner read: Ringling College of Art and Design and just below that: Admissions Office.

Kirby’s hands started to shake. She looked at her sisters then over her shoulder at me.

  “Open it,” I encouraged her.

Her trembling fingers gripped the zippered edge of the box and pulled it down. She took a noticeably shaky breath as she lifted the top flap of the box.

A black band was across various materials, including coloring pencils and a book. It read: Oh yeah! Oh yeah! Oh yeah! Behind it was another black paper with the words: Accepted Student Day: Save the Date.r />
A high-pitched squeal filled the room and Kirby jumped up and down. “I got in! I got in!” She turned and threw herself into my arms.

I had to plant my feet before she knocked us both to the floor. Then I lifted and spun her. “Congratulations, baby!”

She was still screaming. Right in my ear. I didn’t care. I was so happy and proud of my girl.

I sat her down so her now smiling sisters could share the love. I guess seeing how excited she was broke whatever remaining reservations they had about the matter.

There were hugs all around and Kirby was jumping everywhere. I caught her in my arms and hugged her again. Her smile was everything.

  “Hey, guess what?”

She was too busy squealing to even hear me.

  “Guess what, baby?”

She eased out of my arms and to the floor, hugging her acceptance materials to her chest. “What?”

“I decided where I’m going to take my masters.” I’d gotten accepted by three different universities in three different states and had been weighing my options as graduation neared.

Her smiled faded to almost nothing, as our imminent separation dawned on her. “W-where?”

My smile never left and I’m sure she was wondering why, so I went ahead and told her. “Florida Institute of Technology.”

Her mouth dropped open a second.

“It’s a three-hour commute to see each other, I know, but–”

She was in my arms before I could finish, and she kissed me so deeply my body felt weightless. She pulled back, smiling big. “Yay!”

I gazed at my Sunshine, feeling like I was on top of the world. Finally, I had somebody to love and I wasn’t ever going to stop.
