Ain't No Wifey

“Minka, did you piss yourself?” Morocco asked.
“No, I just feel a little pain it will past,” Minka tried to assure her.
“No, you didn’t. I think your water broke, Minka,” Morocco told Minka.
Milan stuck her hand in the wet spot.
“It doesn’t smell like nothing,” Milan advised.
“Her water broke. She’s experiencing pain and the water is clear and odorless. Let’s get her to the hospital.” Morocco jumped up and grabbed her Chanel bag out the kitchen.

Donovan paced the waiting room, anxious to know what was going on. Milan came out and informed him Minka would be delivering the baby that night. Donovan pulled his phone out and dialed Micah. Micah answered right away.
“What going on, Don?”
“Minka is about to deliver this baby. You need to get here ASAP.” Donovan warned.
“She is only eight months. What happened to her? What hospital?”
“Bridgeport hospital. I really don’t know what’s going on. Just get here when you can.”
“Wait, where that is?”
“Connecticut. Hurry up!” Donovan rushed off the phone.

Micah sat up in the bed removing Lisa’s hand away from his waist. The two had a long day and decided to unwind with some TV and head; Micah being the receiving party.
“What’s the matter baby?” Lisa yawned.
“Minka is in labor I need to go.” Micah got up and dressed in some sweats.
“I'm coming, I can get my father to loan me his jet. Let me go call.” Lisa hopped out of bed and rushed to her cellphone. Micah didn’t want to bring her but he would be able to get there sooner on a private flight than commercial. Lisa hung up the phone and walked over to Micah.
“It’s being fueled as we speak. It should be done by the time we get there.” Lisa put her Marc Jacobs sling bag along with her sunglasses. They both exited the house and jumped into Micah’s car in route to Lisa’s father private jet.

Minka started to feel contractions. The doctors didn’t say why her water broke or why she was delivering the baby a month earlier. What they did say was the baby was a good weight and they didn’t expect any complications, but that didn’t mean there wouldn’t be any. Morocco sat holding Minka’s hand. It felt weird and warm at the same time. Minka never so much as hugged her mother so this was comforting to see Morocco put everything that was just said behind her and was there for Minka.
“How many centimeters are you, Minka?” Milan asked coming back in the room.
“Six, they want to see if I dilate before they decide if I'm going to need a C-section. Where is Micah? This baby is coming.” Minka ate a piece of ice Morocco fed her.
“He just called Donovan. They just landed and should be on their way. I called Grams and Gramps and they are going to fly in tomorrow morning,” Milan informed Minka.
“Who are they?”
“Micah and his girlfriend.” Milan regretted having to tell her that. She could kill Micah for bringing his new girl to something so special and secret.
“That’s fine. Let Micah in. His girl can wait in the waiting room.”
“That was the plan from the start.” Milan headed out the room. Her phone was ringing.

Micah and Lisa rushed the halls of the hospital until they were directed to labor and delivery. Micah spotted Donovan sitting with Milan in the waiting area. Milan looked up and frowned at Lisa. Lisa grabbed Micah’s hand and intertwined hers with his.
“What room is she in?” Micah asked.
“She is in this room on the corner.” Donovan pointed. Micah and Lisa rushed toward the room.
“Wait, you can’t go in there.” Milan stopped Lisa.
“Like hell I can’t. I’m going with my man,” Lisa spat back.
“No, the hell you are not. Why would you think you would be invited to my sister’s birth of her child? We don’t know you, so I suggest sit down or I will call security and you can wait in the parking lot.” Milan sat back down and crossed her legs.
“Lisa, just sit down. I’ll come out in a few,” Micah advised. Lisa looked at him strangely.
“Now I’m ‘Lisa’. Whatever, Micah.” She left Micah and started walking outside, pulling out a pack of cigarettes. Micah shrugged his shoulders and entered the room. Minka was breathing while a lady, who she resembled, fed her ice chips. Micah took his spot on the right of Minka.
“How are feeling?” Micah asked wiping her glistening forehead.
“As good as someone who bout to have a basketball come out of them.” Minka did a nervous chuckle as she played with her charm bracelet. Micah knew that when she was nervous she played with any jewelry she was wearing at that time.
“You will be fine. Miya will be here before we know it.” Micah reassured her.
“I am Micah nice to meet you.” Micah reached his hand across Minka to shake Morocco’s hand. Surprisingly Morocco shook his hand.
“I know who you are, my husband is a fan. I'm going to use the bathroom and I’ll be back, Minka” Morocco laughed. Morocco left the room to sip her wine that she had smuggled and to smoke a cigarette.
“One of your sisters? Older.”
“Nope, my mom. I heard you brought your girl. How respectful.”
“She’s the reason I got here so quick. Let’s not focus on that, let’s focus on our daughter.” Minka rubbed her head ignoring Micah. She regretted inviting him.
Chapter Thirty- Three
After twelve intense hours of labor, Minka held a 7 pound 4 oz. sandy brown haired, Miya Morocco Jackson. Minka named her Morocco because even though she was a terrible mother, it wasn’t her fault. She didn’t get to enjoy her first born, like Minka was able to, and she hoped Miya would grow up to have her grandmother in her life. Micah sat next to Minka with his cellphone out snapping pictures for Sharlean and Charles. His light brown eyes were misty with emotion. He couldn’t believe he was actually a father. Miya looked so much like him and Minka mixed.
“Minkas, you must of hated Micah through your pregnancy, that baby look just like him,” Milan joked and reached for the baby. Minka handed the baby back and popped her breast back in her shirt.
“Not hate, I just disliked him.” She sat her head back to rest a little bit. Minka was relived Miya didn’t have any problems. She was perfect weight but the doctors wanted to keep her in NICU to keep an eye on her.
“She fronting, she loves me. The real question is will the doctor let you fly back to Florida with a new born?” Micah probed.
“Now why would I be going to Florida? I live in California. He said in a couple days he will let me know. Right now I need to get some rest and enjoy my freedom before I have to deal with Miya on my own.”
“How will I see her? I want to be very involved in my daughter’s life and the only way that’s possible is if you move back to Florida.”
“I never said you couldn’t be; I actually encourage it. You can come see her anytime you want,” Minka said
“It’s not my business but I don’t think this should be a topic of discussion right now. Little Miya hasn’t been in the world for a day and you’re already arguing about supervision and visits. I think you need to check on your girlfriend because she is chain smoking like crazy out there,” Donovan advised. His god-daughter was the prettiest angel he ever laid his eyes on. Micah arguing about where Minka and Miya were going was irrelevant right now. Micah cut his eyes at Donovan and left the room. He went into the waiting room to see Lisa sitting with an attitude.
“How long is this going to take? Can we leave?” Lisa snorted.
“They are moving Minka upstairs now. You can get a hotel room but I’ll be up here all night. She is so beautiful.” Micah showed Lisa a picture on his phone. Lisa scoffed. She was jealous. She wanted Micah to pay her some attention not that little baby. In that moment, Lisa thought maybe she should have Micah’s baby.
“Yo
u’re not looking Lisa; I don’t know why I even showed you.”
“I'm tired. I’m going back to Florida and you can fly commercial. You have practice tomorrow so don’t think about missing it.”
“I can ask for some time. I just had a child.” Micah countered. Lisa rolled her eyes and got up to leave as Micah shook his head. Lisa was used to getting everything she wanted but this was one time someone came before her and that was, Miya.
Chapter Thirty-Four
Sasha jumped around the house at the positive pregnancy test. She was happy Byron wasn’t home because he wouldn’t hesitate to slap the hell out of her. Sasha already told herself she would play by Byron rules so he didn’t cause her to lose the baby with his aggressive attitude. She cracked open a bottle of wine and took just a sip. She didn’t want to hurt Micah’s baby. Sasha really believed it was Micah’s child she was carrying and nothing is more dangerous than a liar who believed their own lie. Sasha poured the rest of the contents of the seven hundred dollar bottle of wine down the drain. She sat on the counter and dialed Meghan; they hadn’t spoken in a couple weeks.
“Hey, Meg. How are you doing?” Sasha spoke before Meghan.
“I'm okay. Haven’t heard from you in a while,” Meghan mentioned.
“I’ve been busy; I wanted to let you know you’re going to have a niece or nephew.” Sasha gloated.
“Too busy to come to your own business? That’s great Sasha. I'm sure Byron is very proud.” Meghan congratulated not knowing Byron wasn’t the father.
“It’s not Byron’s. It’s Micah’s.” Sasha corrected.
“Sasha have you been going to the shrink I recommended, she helped me a lot. Please go see her. I won’t talk to you if you don’t.” Sasha could hear Meghan talk closely into the phone.
“Shut the hell up, Meg. I am not speaking to no bitch about my life.” Sasha screamed and hung up. Meghan called back a few times but Sasha ignored them.

Sasha sat up in bed alone. Byron was away on vacation; Sasha wasn’t invited unless he said other wise. She flipped through the channels until she stopped on something that caught her eye.
“In other news, over the weekend wide receiver Micah Jackson welcomed his daughter Miya Morocco Jackson into the world with ex-girlfriend Minka Santos. The two split a couple months ago, there are rumors swirling this might be the glue that brings these two back together. It has also been rumors Lisa Manoret and Micah Jackson have been dating. The two have been spotted having dinners and intimate outings together. Julius Manoret denied the allegations of his wife’s infidelity. “
Sasha sat on the bed fuming, how could that bitch go take her man away from her? The reason Sasha befriended Lisa was because she had access to the stadium and she could see Micah whenever she wanted. Sasha regretted ever showing Lisa who Micah was. Now Sasha understood who the “mystery man” was who Lisa had been having an affair with. Lisa never disclosed his identity and now Sasha knew why.
Later that evening, Sasha hung up the phone and waited for her Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to blow up. She just hung up with TMZ. She sold them the story about her being pregnant with Micah’s baby and the assault that took place. Sasha sent an email to Byron’s partner to file the legal motions and sat back and waited for her time to shine. She would make Micah regret ever paying her the time of day, she would have settled to be Micah’s side bitch.

It had been a week since Miya was born Minka was getting back to regular life. The doctor advised it was okay for Minka to fly with Miya. She was now home and adjusting to life with Miya, late nights of breast feeding and a cranky baby, all alone. Not at all like she pictured having her first child would be like. Minka pictured her husband or fiancé at the time there with her and not in another state with a girlfriend. Minka opened the front door her condo; she struggled with the mail, keys and Miya’s car seat. She sat Miya’s car seat down and put all the mail on the hall table. She heard the TV and Milan’s loud mouth.
“Minka, come here right now!” Milan yelled.
“I'm coming! Wait a minute.” Minka unstrapped a sleeping Miya and walked into the living room where a picture of Sasha and Micah were on the screen.
“Turn it up,” Minka yelled, agitated. She needed to hear what was going on.
“Today we hear from Micah Jackson’s ex- girlfriend Sasha Evans. Sasha Evan is the ex- girlfriend on NFL player Micah Jackson; she is also carrying his child, pressing charges for assault and suing for emotional distress. This comes after Micah just welcomed a brand new baby girl just a week ago. Here is our interview with Sasha.
“How are you Sasha? What made you wait so long to come forward with these allegations?”
“I and Micah were always on and off. One minute we are together, secretly of course. I just felt like it was time to stop living for Micah and expose him for what he really is; a woman beater.
“You also allege his ex-fiancé, Minka Santos, and her sister assaulted you. What are the legal steps you are taking toward Minka?”
“I can’t really talk about those steps but please know legal action is being taken. How could a woman so violent have custody of a precious new baby? It’s very sad.”
“Now what do you have to say about your pregnancy? To my understanding you are engaged to your lawyer, Byron Hall. Were you cheating on Byron?
“I was and I am completely ashamed. We are working on our relationship; he plans to be here for this baby. Like I stated before, Micah and my relationship was an on and off thing that we privately had together. When I found out I was pregnant, I knew it couldn’t be Byron. We are saving ourselves for marriage.”
“Thank you, Sasha, for giving us this exclusive. I hope everything works out for the best.”
“No, thank you, for letting me get my truth out.”
“Stay tuned.”
Minka quickly sat down, she started to feel like the room was spinning. If it wasn’t one thing it was another. She was finally satisfied with just her and Miya.
“Basically, Micah has another baby on the way. Miya get ready to be a big sister.” Milan shook her head. The doorbell rang so Minka handed Miya to Milan and went to answer the door. A short man with a vase of flowers stood on the other side.
Typical Micah, always thinking flowers will fix something, Minka thought and swung open the door.
“Hi, are you Minka Santos?”
“Yes, I am.”
“These are for you, please sign here.” The man handed a paper. Minka signed her name and handed the man the paper back, he handed her the vase and an envelope.
“Minka Santos, you’ve just been served.”
Epilogue
The rain hit the window pane making an annoying ticking sound. A sound that matched the man’s attitude; ticked off. He sat by the same window for six months hoping for some news other than his progress was getting better. He had no visitors or received any mail. He only had one visitor he wished would go away. At one time, this visitor made him happy but now he was just like the rain on the window pane; annoying.
The door creaked indicating he had a visitor. His one visitor. The man never turned around to greet. The man’s visitor sat in the chair in the corner; a seat he sat in frequently. He sat and looked at the man but never saying anything to the man. The man got up and sat in his bed and removed his bandages to let them breathe. The man was glad he was just about healed and could soon be released to where ever that might be.
“How are you feeling today?” The visitor asked.
“Better today. I’m finally done with speech therapy,” the man slightly slurred.
“That’s good. You look good for someone with half their head taken off.”
“When will you be discharged?”
“Next week.”
“Have you thought about our deal?” The visitor inquired.
“Yes, I have. I’m down to take down the motherfuckers who did this to me.”
“So you’re ready to finish taking
down one of Moore brothers and the people who tried to kill you and killed Snuff?” Agent Ramez asked, being more detailed.
“I sure am.” Juelz answered rubbing his hands together.
