Sinful Biker

His voice was so warm, so much like melted chocolate pouring over each word, rich and deep and oh so enchanting. She could listen to him read for hours and hours and never grow tired of hearing the words that rolled off his tongue.

He made Charles Dickens sound exotic, erotic and so much more inviting than Julia had ever known him to be. She shivered, a flush creeping up her skin. He was mesmerizing. It was lyrical, the way he read.

James sighed, a smile on his face. “It’s just…the change he undergoes is incredible. You see it later, in this passage. This one is my real favorites.” He smiled and read on.

“Scrooge was better than his word. He did it all, and infinitely more; and to Tiny Tim, who did NOT die, he was a second father. He became as good a friend, as good a master, and as good a man as the good old City knew, or any other good old city, town, or borough in the good old world. Some people laughed to see the alteration in him, but he let them laugh, and little heeded them; for he was wise enough to know that nothing ever happened on this globe, for good, at which some people did not have their fill of laughter in the outset; and knowing that such as these would be blind anyway, he thought it quite as well that they should wrinkle up their eyes in grins as have the malady in less attractive forms. His own heart laughed, and that was quite enough for him.”

“Beautiful,” Julia whispered, and she was not sure whether she was talking about the book, or about James himself.

James seemed satisfied at her answer and he shut the book, gently stroking the cover. His hands were broad and strong, but he stroked the cover of the book with such care. Julia almost bit her lip at the sight. The shiver that ran down her spine was inappropriate to say the least.

“Classic work.” James smiled, leaning closer. Julia felt a thrill move through her. He was close, closer than he had been before, the spicy smell of him overwhelming her senses. She wanted to lean in, to kiss him, and the electricity that crackled between them was hot and sharp.

Then James slowly moved back. “Sorry, I’m keeping you up.” His voice was smooth and Julia found herself standing.

  “It’s no trouble.”

“You’ll be up early tomorrow for Penny.” He smiled. “It’s not fair to you to keep you awake at all hours.”

“I don’t mind you keeping me up at all hours.” Something about her words sounded seductive, low in the dim lighting. Her heart raced.

James stood too, closing the distance between them. He brushed her hair with his hand, fingers pushing it back out of her face. She leaned in. There was a moment, heavy with the possibility of what could be, what might be, what crackled between them, burning the air up. She shivered.

Their lips met. And Julia forgot about everything else. There was nothing but the feel of his lips on hers, hot and warm and all consuming. The taste of him was in her mind, her body, her soul. She kissed him back, wanting to feel this, to feel more of it.

The taboo sizzled between them, the fact that they shouldn’t be doing this only adding fuel to the fire, only causing Julia to burn deeper with passion and pleasure, with a desire that she had not felt for so many years.

It lit her body up, burning through her. Her hands found his shirt and tangled in it. James’s hands came around, pulling her towards him, closing the distance between them. Julia gasped as she felt the heat of his skin through the fabric, felt the way he shivered, just as deeply as she did. She was lost in the moment, and more than happy to stay that way.

His hands stroked her hair, coming to rest in the silky strands that tumbled down her back. She parted her lips and their tongues met. He was holding her tighter, unwilling to let her go. His muscles felt hard beneath his shirt and Julia ran her hands along the fabric, wanting to see every part of him, wanting her hands on his skin.

He was her employer. There was no way she should be doing this, no way she should want him like the air she breathed. But she did, and there was no denying it.

When they finally broke away, they both gasped for breath. James was looking at her with his dark eyes burning, “Julia…that was…” He seemed to be fighting with himself. “You don’t have to…” He cleared his throat. “You’ll always have a job here.”

For a moment, Julia was confused, then warmth flooded through her body and mind. He was worried. He didn’t want to take advantage of her, and have her feel like she had to sleep with him in order to keep her job. He didn’t want to pressure her or use their working relationship to his advantage.

Julia couldn’t stand it. She kissed him again, all hesitance removed. She kissed him like she meant it and consequences be damned. She wanted him like she had never wanted anyone before. A sigh of relief shuddered out of him and he responded, shifting to pull them both onto the couch. She tumbled into his arms, onto his lap.

His lips were on her skin, her neck, down her throat. His hands were over her skin and Julia thought that she would lose it right then and there. His hands brushed the hemline of her skirt, stroking her legs, running up and down the skin. Julia gasped, her fingers finding the buttons of his shirt, struggling to tug off his tie. He obliged, shedding his tie, his shirt pulled open by her needful fingers.

Julia bit her lip. Oh, he was gorgeous. He was everything that she had dreamed he would be and so, so much more. Toned, hard muscles rippled down his chest, tanned and strong, the fine silk of his shirt hanging off him like it was no more than a cheap dollar store purchase.

So at ease, so confident. Julia felt warmth flooding her panties, felt the heat that burned in her chest and worked its way to between her thighs. She touched his skin and it was warm to the touch. She stroked, caressed, shivered when she heard the low moan that came from his throat.

It sent a thrill down her skin. Then he was on her, pressing her down onto the couch, lifting the hem of her skirt, letting it ride up. Julia shivered, and squirmed out of her dress, letting him all but rip it off her skin. She shivered as the warm air hit her, revealing the soft cotton and lace she wore beneath her dress. Pretty but practical. The black stood out against her skin and made it look so much more dramatic, so much bolder and sexier.

Julia blushed. She hadn’t planned it like that, but by the way James was looking at her, she was doing something very, very right. She bit her lip and he smirked.

His hands circled around her, finding the clasp of the bra, unclipping it in a quick motion. She gasped, a blush on her cheek. “James…” She wasn’t sure if she was protesting, or asking for more, and she didn’t care. His lips found her breasts, her nipples and oh, he was so talented!

His tongue was hot and warm and made her squirm. Shivers ran up her body. Here she was, dressed only in her panties, on the couch in her employer’s library.

She gasped, she squirmed, she held on, her hands in his short, dark hair. Her skin was on fire. She was breathless, the way he touched her making her feel good in ways that she did not know she could. She trembled, she huffed and moaned. He pulled her panties down her hips, and she let him. She gasped as the air rushed against her skin when he parted her thighs in the low light.

He was breathing heavily, and he fumbled in his pocket, before undoing his belt with a confidence and clarity that made Julia want to melt. He slid his pants down and Julia gasped at the sight of him. He was big, strong, and she had a good feeling that he knew how to use it.

Shivers ran down her spine. He grabbed her hips, gently pulling her so that her hair spilled around her, her legs wrapping around him, and a blush spread along her cheeks and down the curve of her breasts.

He pushed against her slowly, but she could hear the arousal in his breath, the way it hitched as he softly caressed her skin, overwhelming her senses.

  “James…more…” she moaned softly.

He didn’t need further encouragement. When he pushed within her, Julia thought that she as going to lose her senses. Pleasure jolted through her, blinding her to anything but the thrum of her heart, the smell of him; spicy, and rich, and masculine.

  Just l
ike him, she thought. Her mind was addled with the throes of pleasure that were fast beginning to claim her. She held onto him, gasping as he pulled out, grabbing at him, moaning when he thrust back within her.

Ecstasy burned in her mind, trembled through her body and she bit her lip to stop herself from calling out. But who would hear her? The thought sent jolts through her. Who would hear her, in this big and lonely house, except for the man who was thrusting within her? Penny was deeply asleep, many, many rooms away.

And she was here, beneath him, as he thrust into her with a skill and passion that left Julia breathless. Her thoughts fled, leaving her alone with nothing but the sensations that were him, the sensations of his hands on her skin, around her, cradling her, rocking against her.

He felt good. Smelled amazing. His tongue and lips on her neck almost made her cry out. She shivered, feeling the heat burn and build between her legs, a fever pitch that needed release. Oh, she needed and wanted him, had since the very first time she had seen him, even though she had fought it.

His breathing was quick and hard and Julia thrilled at the fact that he wanted her too. This wealthy man, strong, and sexy, and gorgeous…he wanted her. She was nobody special, nobody special at all. And yet, he was holding her like she was the most important thing, kissing her skin and rubbing the sensitive spot inside her until she could no longer see straight.

She ground against him, arching and moving her hips in time with his thrusts. The friction sent shudders through her body and she felt close, so very close to the pleasure that usually eluded her.

Deep, fast, he rocked into her, his hands caressing her skin. His breath on her neck. The sound of his moans. His strong, hard chest pressing against her breasts. Too much. Too good.

Julia climaxed with a cry, holding onto him as she rode wave after wave of pleasure, blinding her, overwhelming her senses. It shuddered through her, pleasure and bliss entwining with the feel of James, until she no longer remembered her own name.

There was only him, only this, only the feel of their bodies rocking together. James groaned and held her tightly and she felt him shudder above her. He held her tightly as his own climax hit him deeply. He pushed within her and Julia gasped. Whimpered.

She didn’t let him go, could not bear the thought as she breathed heavily, deeply, rocking with him, lost in the embrace.

As their afterglow burned through them, Julia sank back onto the couch. James moved, so that she rested on top of him, instead of the other way around. She was grateful. He was a strong man and she was so much smaller than he was. She sighed, resting her head on his broad chest.

He was so handsome, felt so good. Dreamy thoughts swirled around her head, finding rest in her heart. The afterglow washed over her and James was grinning, an easy smile, “Good?”

  She laughed, blushing deeply, “Perfect.”

He sighed in satisfaction and shut his eyes. They rested like this for a little while. Julia resting in James’s arms, head on his chest, taking her time to focus on nothing but the present moment. No extra worries, no burdens that were weighing her down and leaving her sick.

  Just this.

After what seemed like the longest time, James shifted. He reached for Julia’s dress as she sat up to. He was a gentleman, and he helped her back into her dress, making sure she was comfortable on the couch before he even considered putting his pants back on. He slid them on and did up his shirt, mostly. He smiled apologetically, “In case Penny is up.” Then he realized what he said and corrected himself. “I don’t mind her seeing this…” He leaned in, lips meeting hers again in a searing kiss, “Just…kids shouldn’t see their dad’s getting up to…mischief.” He smirked.

Then he took her in his arms, holding her again, like she was special, far more special than she truly was. With a smile, he carried her through the long hallways until they came to her bedroom. He nudged the door open and carried her to her bed, laying her down gently. “I’ve got an early start tomorrow…” he murmured, a soft smile on his face, “but I’m never far.”

He kissed her again as he tucked her into the softness of the blankets and the sheets, making sure that she was warm. Then and only then did he leave the room, flicking off the light as he went.

And Julia was left to bask in the glow of a night she had barely dared to dream of. Her heart twisted, excitement, happiness, and a growing sense of dread. Had she done the right thing? Was she anything more than a cheap fling with a live-in servant?

She hoped everything would be all right. Shutting her eyes, Julia dreamed of better days and fell into a peaceful sleep.

  ***

The next morning Julia almost overslept. Even though the alarm was ringing, she was lost in a perfect dream land of time with James, of her career, of everything good in the world. When she finally did wake, she realized that she had hit the snooze button at least once. Scrambling to her feet, Julia threw on some clothes and raced to get her morning started.

She woke up Penny and made breakfast. She checked that Penny was getting ready, she made sure she had all her books, and she walked her to the bus, just like she did every morning. She didn’t see James as she went about her routine of getting ready, and she remembered vaguely him saying that he needed to have a bit of an early start today.

It was only when Penny was out of the house that she allowed herself a moment to think, to really consider what had happened last night. She grabbed herself a cup of tea and made her way to her bathroom. She drew a large bubble bath, a luxury, and shed her clothing.

The light was streaming through the windows, a warm, comfortable glow that lit the whole room. She smiled as her skin touched the warm water and she slipped slowly into it. It was warm and delicious. The bubbles tickled her skin and she felt amazing. It relaxed her aching muscles and made her sigh with relief and enjoyment.

This was one of the perks to this job, one of the many perks—being able to take a bubble bath in the middle of the day. It was relaxing and gorgeous and she adored it. As she leaned back in the water, her hair twisted into an easy bun, she contemplated last night.

A blush burnt her cheeks. It had been magnificent. She could not kid herself about that, so it was useless to even try. It was amazing and he knew just how to make her body hum and sing and feel so good. The intimacy was amazing.

The way he had held her afterwards had been even better. The way he had taken her to bed, reassured her that he’d never be far. It made her heart flutter and her stomach tighten with nerves. She was relieved that he had been such a great dad about the whole thing too, concerned that his daughter might notice them in a state of undress.

And yet he had kissed her, and told her he was not ashamed of that. It made warmth tingle through her. What did it all mean? Was he interested in her as more than a nanny? Or was it just sex?

She sighed and shut her eyes. She wasn’t sure, but the dread that had started in her last night was beginning to grow. Sleeping with an employer was not a good move. People would think she was scamming to improve her situation, to get more money, or something equally terrible.

In fact, if she let this continue, and then it ended, James might not give her a recommendation, and then she could be out on the streets with no one to turn to. She couldn’t let that happen. With a swallow, Julia realized that she knew what she needed to do. She didn’t want to do it. She wanted to grab every single piece of happiness that life threw her way, and hold onto it, never, ever let it go, never let it stop, never let anyone take it away.

But she had to let this go. She had to let this go or her whole life might end in ruins, even worse than it already was. She could not make any more mistakes. She could not sully her name any more. She needed to eat and this was a great job.

She couldn’t blow it because she was falling in love with her employer. Her caring, sexy employer. She bit her lip. She couldn’t allow this to happen.

With a sadness in her heart, echoed only by determination, Julia started to wash herself, ge
tting rid of the evidence of the night before, even though she wanted to cling to it, cling to James. Fear was fluttering through her—she didn’t want Penny to have any more heartache. She couldn’t let James fall for her and have his heart broken, and she couldn’t dare continue to do this with her employer. It just wouldn’t happen.

It couldn’t…but it still broke her heart. When she got out of the bath, she tried to boost her mood by using lotions and perfumes and putting on a comfortable, but pretty dress. It didn’t help much, and Julia went to do some laundry instead.

The next week seemed to pass in a flash. Julia was more than happy to lose herself in her work. Distancing herself was easy when she was doing it because of her chores. It was easier to avoid the dinner table because she desperately needed to mend Penny’s shirt for tomorrow. It was comfortable not to stay up late anymore, because she was getting up early to set up more complex breakfasts than were strictly needed. She did her job and she did it well, better than ever in fact.

It was only logical that that would demand more time and more energy from her, wasn’t it?

At first, James seemed confused, but he appeared to understand. He was polite and kept trying to talk to her. Julia was never rude, but she tried with all her might to keep things professional. She watched as James turned from confused, to hurt. She saw less and less of him as the days went on and he spent more time with Penny than with Julia.

It broke her heart. She wanted to call out and tell him that she cared for him, so very much, but that she couldn’t be fired for poor conduct again, not again, or she would lose it all and never get another job. She needed this job, and she didn’t want to hurt him.

It tore her apart and her days, once sunny, seemed to darken and turn grey. The haze that had claimed her, sad and unrelenting, since her first review, came back with a vengeance to make sure Julia knew she had done wrong.

But she hadn’t done anything wrong at the college, and this had to be the right choice. What else could she do? What else should she do? Confusion lingered across her mind, causing her to feel sick, feel unsure of her choices.
