“My driver can give you a ride,” he says.

“No thanks,” she says, waving goodbye. "It was so nice to meet you!" says Samantha.

"It was nice to meet you too.”

She disappears and he finishes signing autographs. He really wanted to talk to her more. For the first time in a long time he had a normal conversation with a beautiful woman. He likes that a lot. Jacob later smiles at the thought of their simple conversation. She wasn’t falling all over him. She was just being herself and he liked that most. He looks forward to seeing her again.

Samantha giggles in her seat on the plane like a little girl. She just wishes the one time a celebrity seems sincere, it wouldn’t be this time. If this goes any further she will have to tell him the truth.

However, she will cross that bridge when she gets to it. Samantha has a little pep in her step when she walks into the office the next morning. Nicki quickly runs behind her into her office.

“Girl what happened to get you so giddy?” asks Nicki.

Samantha says, “Girl take a seat. Remember how I had to get pictures for the Gala? Well low and behold; Jacob came down to the café at the hospital because he wanted to know who I was. I told him a lie that my name was Tiffany Skyler and that I was a photographer.”

  “What? Why?” asks Nicki.

“Because you know I don’t have a great track record of dating celebs. I didn’t think he’d ask me if I worked for me (Samantha). But he did so I said yes. I really just want to stay in the background and focus on making this Gala the biggest ever”, she says, as she dances around her desk. “I was able to get a lot of information from him because he didn’t know I was Samantha. This will work to my advantage! Anyway we sat and talked for an hour and he asked if I was coming to any other hospital events. I told him yes, but I didn’t tell him which events.”

“So you flirted back?" Nicki asks.

“I guess a little,” says Samantha. “My inner sassy girl came out,” she laughs.

"What are you going to do if he wants to go on a date?" asks Nicki.

“I will tell him no! I will not go down the same road as before. No dating celebs.

Oh and you know I don’t date white boys, no matter how fine they are. I just don’t think they can handle a sista,” Samantha and Nicki laugh.

Two events pass and Jacob is just about to give up and there she is just as beautiful. Her hair is long and flowy against her beautiful brown skin.

She is wearing a red blouse, navy skirt with red pumps and crimson lipstick. She wants to look all business today, maybe so he doesn’t notice her. Jacob doesn’t understand why he is so drawn to her. He dated one black girl in high school. He prefers women with brunette not blonde hair, but mainly white women. He likes the fact that she isn’t intimidated by his fame. Despite his first instinct to rush over he waves, to let her know he saw her. He doesn’t want to appear desperate.

Shoot he saw me, thought Samantha. She tries to ignore him by going to sit in the hallway. Jacob comes over sitting down next to her.

"I thought you take pictures at these things?" he asks.

"Paul and I do," she says. “I'm just observing right now. I will take pictures in about an hour. I'm early, says Samantha.

“I was beginning to think you weren’t coming back.”

She smiles. “I told you I would be back.”

Jacob is all smiles too. They nervously sit in silence.

“So can I take you to lunch?” he asks.

“No,” says Samantha. “I don’t date celebrities.” Looking down at her camera, she says, “Too bad you’re a celebrity; you seem decent. I dated a celebrity before. It ended badly making me swear them off forever.”

“Ok how about I hire you to work for me tonight. I have a photo shoot I need to get done," he says. “Can you meet me at Salon 225 in downtown Boston at 6 p.m.?”

  With hesitation, Samantha says, “Yes.”

But wear something comfortable like tennis shoes. You may have to do a lot of standing.”

"Oh, so what I have on is too much," jokes Samantha.

  "Yeah," laughs Jacob.

Samantha takes a cab over to Salon 225 on Newbury St.

"Jacob she’s here," says his driver Chuck.

Chuck is Jacob’s main driver. He usually only drives for him in Montreal but every once and awhile he will accompany him out of town.

Jacob gets out the truck as Samantha is exiting the cab. Jacob speaks to the Cab driver. "Did she pay you?" Jacob asks.

The cab driver shook his head no.

  "How much?”

  “$25," he says.

He gave the Cab Driver a $50.

  “Keep the change.”

"You didn’t have to do that. I am more than capable of paying for myself," says Samantha.

“I feel bad because I should have sent my driver to pick you up.”

"That would not have been necessary," says Samantha.

"After you!" He opens the door for her to the salon.

"How are you this evening Ms. Skyler?"

  “Fine.”

"Tiffany please," he says. “I almost didn’t recognize you.”

He smells so good, she thinks as she falls apart inside; still trying to keep her composure.

  “Can I take your coat?”

  "Yes," Samantha replies.

The lights are dim and there is a table with a white linen tablecloth set up in the middle of the room. She looks back at him with a mean look.

He puts his hands over his heart and says, "Please don’t be mad. I really just want a chance to talk to you. I really enjoyed our last conversation.”

  "Mr. Latters!" she starts.

Please have a seat as he pulls her chair from the table.

  “Call me Jacob.”

  "Do you drink wine?"

  Yes.

  “Good,” he responds.

The waiter brings over a bottle of Merlot.

“So you choose to wear a Patriots jersey why?” he asks.

“Because this is all I had with me and I sometimes watch the game in my Jersey.”

He thought it was so cute.

“There is a game on tonight that I am missing, because I am sitting here with you. No offense,” she says.

“None taken” he says. “Have you ever gone to a Patriots game?” he asks.

“Yes, in Atlanta where I’m from. It would be cool to see them play here," she says.

He loves to see the excitement in her face.

“It’s funny we’re both from the South,” she laughs. "Do you hunt?" asks Samantha.

  “Yes, deer and turkey.”

  "Same here," says Samantha.

“Wow a woman after my own heart.”

She blushes. "Dinner is delicious," says Samantha.

  “Can I speak candidly?”

"I wouldn’t have it any other way," he says.

“Have you ever dated a black woman before?”

"Yes,” he replies. “I did in high school.”

"Have you ever dated a white man?" he asks.

“No. I liked a few guys from a distance but I always felt they were too eager. They just wanted a taste.”

  "A what?" he asks.

  "Sex!" she replies.

  He starts choking.

“I'm sorry I am known for being too open. This is one of the reasons I'm single.”

"Well you can't get rid of me that easy," he says. "So will you go to one more place with me?" he asks.

  “Ok yes!” She smiles.

He leads her out to his truck. Chuck looks back in the mirror at Jacob and nods.

"So what else do you do in Hot Lanta?" Jacob jokes.

“I hang out with my friends sometimes but mainly I stay to myself.”

“I really can’t believe you’re single," he says.

“Guys really can’t handle me. In my line of work, working with celebrities’ everyday can be torture. They have so many issues. That’s why I don’t date them. But you’re diffe
rent. You’re so easy going. I wasn’t expecting you to be this way.”

“Being laid back is, I guess, my specialty,” he smiles.

They pull up in the back of a building. Jacob gets out, opens her door, and extends his hand for hers. He begins to escort her into the stadium. She stops.

"No way! What, why, how?" she asks.

She jumps up and down giving him a big hug. They go upstairs to his skybox. They have total privacy; no cameras. Her mouth drops open as they enter the skybox.

  "This is amazing!" says Samantha.

He realizes he wants to continue seeing her happy.

Samantha excitedly shares more Patriot statistics.

"Tom Brady is my favorite football player," she says.

“Have a seat I’ll get you a drink,” he says.

He hands her a bottle of beer and sits down next to her. They watch the game and discuss player statistics between the Cowboys and the Patriots. That night Jacob finds himself watching more of Samantha than the game.

“Thank you for this wonderful evening,” she says. “I had no idea this was going to happen. I wish it didn’t have to end!”

“It doesn’t have to end," he says.

They go to a local bar for drinks and play darts. She dances to the music and he does too.

"Omg, you have rhythm," she says with a laugh.

They leave the bar and walk down to Piers Park. They talk about high school and what their favorite foods are. They can feel the temperature drop as they sit down on a bench.

“You do realize I'm black and we don’t do well with the cold?”

Laughing he says, “So what will you do when you go to the event in Montreal?”

She laughs. “I will dress like an Eskimo!”

He pulls her close to him. He wraps his arm around her to keep her warm and feel her close to him.

"You're very dreamy," she says. “Oops! I'm sorry that just slipped out. I'm sure you get that all the time.”

"Yeah I do but never from you. I like it coming from you," he smiles. "You are so beautiful," Jacob says, as he grabs her chin and kisses her on the lips ever so softly.

"You’re a great kisser," she says. “It must be all that acting.”

“Well what's your excuse?” he asks.

“I have none. I'm just a great kisser. No really it’s my full lips,” she smiles.

“That it is,” Jacob says as he kisses her again. “So can I get another date since this one was so great?!”

“Jacob, this wasn’t supposed to be a date.”

“I know but I'm happy it was” he says. “What about you?”

  "Yes!" she smiles.

Jacob turns red he is just so taken back by her. He really doesn’t want the night to end. “So can I call you before the next event?” he excitedly asks.

  "Yes.”

She gives him her personal number at home because her voicemail doesn’t give her name. They arrive at her hotel.

“Thank you so much for an amazing night!” says Jacob.

“I will talk to you soon,” Samantha says, as she exits the truck.

Jacob can't believe how fast he is falling for this woman.

They began to talk every night. They talk about everything from his show to what dishes she will cook for him.

"I have another surprise for you when you come to Montreal," says Jacob. “Where do you plan to stay?”

  “In a hotel,” she says.

“I can pay for your room.”

  "No Jacob," says Samantha.

“I might not stay at the finest places but its ok for me. I don’t want to owe you anything. You’ve done enough.”

“So you think I will feel you owe me sex?!” he asks. “Tiffany that is not what I want from you. Not right now anyway. I enjoy your company. I'm just not use to a woman not expecting me to do things.”

“Well I'm not your average woman. I don’t want your money. I don’t want you ever holding anything over my head. I have an idea though,” she says. “Let’s make a deal. We can do a shut in weekend. We will spend all of our time together and see how we get along," she says.

"Where? At my house?" asks Jacob.

“Yes, at your house. There will be no sex and no sleeping in the same bed. We will just be getting to know each other without clouded judgment.” "Deal!" says Jacob.

  CHAPTER 2

Samantha arrives at the Montreal hospital in the children's ward where Jacob is already talking to the kids. Jacob waves when he sees her enter the room.

  “I'll be right back kids.”

Jacob motions with his eyes for Samantha to follow him. She follows pretty far behind. Jacob dips into a stairwell.

"Jacob," Samantha whispers. “Where did you go?”

Jacob opens the door pulling her in. “I missed you!” he says, as he throws her against the wall kissing her beautiful full lips. I can’t wait for tonight.”

“Jacob the agreement is no sex. I can’t believe this is happening. I'm not supposed to be dating you. What have you done to me?”

"Nothing. I’ve just been my wonderful natural self," he winks.

“Somehow I think you're just nicer to me.”

"You are so beautiful," he says.

She kisses him again giving him a hug inhaling his great smelling cologne. She is becoming so attracted to him she doesn’t know what to do.

"Tonight we are going to have some fun. It’s a surprise, but wear something comfortable," he says.

Jacob already made arrangements with the studio, so he can give her a private tour. He asks her if she would come over and talk to the kids and tell a little about herself and take their pictures.

"Why is he calling you Tiffany?" asks her associate Paul.

“Long story, just go with it. I will explain back at the office.”

Later that afternoon Jacob tells Samantha that Chuck will pick her up from her hotel. She insists on getting a hotel for the weekend. Jacob insists on paying for it just in case things between them get awkward.

All the nurses can see that his demeanor has changed and he is only interested in one woman, Tiffany Skyler. Chuck arrives at her hotel at 5:30 p.m. Chuck takes her small suitcase from her and put it in the back of the truck while she gets in the back seat.

When she arrives at the film lot it is a ghost town. His driver pulls up to the door and blows the horn. Jacob comes out and opens her door as Chuck is getting out the truck.

“I’ve got her,” says Jacob. “Tiffany, did Chuck give you any problems?" Jacob jokes and winks his eye at her.

She laughs. “No he was very polite.”

“Thanks buddy! Give me an hour," says Jacob.

  “Ok”, replies Chuck.

It is so cold she is bundled up like an Eskimo.

"Where are you in there?" he asks.

“Funny. I don’t like the cold.”

Samantha is so excited to spend time with Jacob. He opens the door for her. She gives him a big hug and a kiss on the cheek upon entering the studio.

“Is that excitement for me or my character?” he asks.

  She laughs. "Both!" she says.

She can’t believe she is on her second date with Jacob Latters. I’m going to play it cool, she’s thought. She sends a text to Nicki with a picture of her excited face.

But she knows after tonight she will have to tell him she can’t date him. Tonight she is going to have some fun. He places her belongings on a chair.

"Are you ready for the tour?" asks Jacob.

He shows her the markers on the floor where they stand for certain scenes. She is fascinated by all the different sets that make up various scenes when they are not on location.

“How familiar are you with your character after five years?”

“My character became a part of me a long time ago. I find myself doing stuff that Stephen would do especially when it comes to my eating habits. I think they are one and the same.”

She laughs. “I love to watch you eat on the show.
You make it look so real yet sexy at the same time,” she blushes.

  He smiles.

She grabs his hand, “Lead me to the weapons! Why are the weapons so light?” she asks. “Can we shoot them?”

  “Sorry no!” he says.

  “Please!” she asks.

“Ok, aim at the Target but be careful,” he says.

She aims, shoots, and misses the center target on purpose.

"I thought you can shoot?" he asks.

“I can but I don’t want to be a show off. Maybe I will show you at the gun range one day.”

“Ok I will hold you too it. How often do you go?”

  "Once a month," says Samantha.

“I’m going to let you jump through the window. Although its fake, keep your eyes closed.” He positions her behind the glass so she can do the stunt. He places his hands around her lower waist positioning her to jump through the window.

"Are you sure I won’t hurt myself?" she asks.

  “Yes, I promise,” he says.

She jumps through the window. She falls on the ground rolling around. He comes running around.

  “Are you ok?” he asks.

She jumps up, “Just playing!" she says.

“Oh you’re playing dirty," he says.

They walk through a field of fake dead carcasses.

She says, “It smells good I imagined it would smell like human flesh.”

He laughs. “Good to know this look works.”

They are near an old Mustang prop car.

“Who plays flag football on the set?” she asks.

“We play when we're on break.”

Samantha grabs the flags, tosses one to Jacob, and puts one in her pocket.

“Go long! I always wanted to say that,” laughs Samantha. “Ok let’s get into character,” she says. She tosses him some bubble gum. She says, “We have to chew very obnoxiously and scream mean things to each other.”

  He laughs.

She yells, “Get into position! I'm the captain and you do what I say!” she says in a deep voice.

  “Hey, go long!” he says.

He throws the ball and she fumbles it.

  He laughs.

“You have to know how to catch.”

  “Doubt it!” she laughs.

He then runs over to position her to throw. She is so close to him she can smell his cologne again.

She throws the ball and he catches it. She jumps around in a dance. They walk towards each other to give each other a high five.
