Max paused his motions, not wanting to hurt her, biting his lip as she clenched around him. He could feel her pulsing around his shaft, gripping with need. His hips bumped hers, never pulling out. His hand joined hers, rubbing her fingers a little harder on her clitoris.

Curling beneath him, her eyes closed as she moaned in orgasm. Bucking and shivering, her supple body rolled against his, pressing with desperation onto his erect shaft. “Mmmm!”

He held her, resting his cheek along hers, grinding his knot against her entrance.

Aftershocks shivered through her body, webbed paws gripping his back. She arched up. Her wet, swollen labia pressed his bulge as she engulfed his shaft once again. Her eyes closed, her breath evening out. “Ohmygosh, Maxie. Oh… Oh…”

Humping with gentle pressure, he stroked her hair and panted affection into her ear. The moment stretched on, basking him in the glory of his best friend panting with pleasure beneath him. That same voice that’d brightened long days of filming and chased off his homesickness.

“You got the knot in?” She looked quite pleased with herself. Her paw reached down that smooth stomach, feeling for a bulge where he would’ve tied her.

He shook his head. “Got too big to fit.”

Fingertips reaching her stretched lips, she caressed the swollen base of his cock. “It gets…bigger?” Her voice held equal parts terror and delight.

Max’s ears dropped with a shy smile.

She stroked his scruff. “Oh.” A lopsided grin. “Did you, um…?” She wiggled under him.

“No, but it felt really nice.” He shifted his hips. “Still does.”

“Whoa, really?” Her whispers spiked in volume, then got quieter as if to compensate. “I thought guys couldn’t help it once they were inside.”

“Umm, well, my knot’s not in…” He pressed forward to demonstrate, slick moisture squeezing out around his cock. That canine bulge pressed to her entrance, throbbing and eager in the quiet of the night. “Plus, I’ve never come with someone else around.” Pulling a little ways out, he dipped his muzzle, shy.

“You could if you want to…” Her whiskers twitched, catching moonlight with her smile. “I mean, I want you to…”

He brushed a lock of hair from her face. “Okay.” Drawing back, he slipped free, feeling her silky flesh caress his. Sitting up, his tip bobbed against her slick folds. His paw slipped down and hers followed. He stroked his bunched sheath against the base of his cock, rubbing paw pads against the back of his knot.

Slender otter paws joined in, caressing his cock, their webbing stimulating every inch of its surface.

He rubbed faster, thinking about where he was, who he was with, how much she cared about him. He climbed over her, stroking himself down into her. His tail dropped to meet hers. Soft growls of pleasure rumbled in his chest.

The lutrine gasped, hands massaging his slick shaft, feet tucked against his knees. “Ya close?”

“Mmhm!” He stroked faster. Breath caught in his throat. His balls tensed. Pulses of impending orgasm telegraphed up his length and through his body.

She rubbed faster, gripping here and there, still getting used to the feel of him in her paws. “Mmmmmm…”

Frantic with desire, he guided her paws behind his knot. The sensation of her soft, loving hands set him off. With a groan, he spurted along her forearm, then on her lower stomach, then her hip. He clenched his teeth, squeezed his eyes shut, and rubbed her fingertips harder on the back of his bulge, coaxing forth another few spurts. His mind reeled, swept up on the winds of bliss. As his orgasm faded to dribbles, he watched his pearly offering slip off her waterproof fur onto the bedspread.

Giggling, she arched an eyebrow at the pearly spatters across her belly. “Kinda missed your mark, huh Maxie?”

Still catching his breath, he could only answer with an awkward chuckle. “Yeah, sorry. That got a little…” He shuddered in aftershock. “…intense.”

She slipped a hand down, the dark fur vivid against her paler belly in the low light. She curled soft fingers around his tip, pressing it against the sopping fur of her mons and earning a gasp and a fresh spurt against her wrist from him. “Don’t apologize.” A shaky paw brushed hair from her eyes. “It was kinda cool to watch.”

His tail swished. “Here, let me help.” Already committed mentally to washing the sheets, he used them to wipe up his sheath and her crotch, amazed how nothing stuck to her.

The otter shivered as the fabric stimulated her oversensitive flesh. The heat of her tender folds lingered on his paw pads. She bit her lip and savored his touch. Her paws stroked the fur of his back, drawing him close once more.

He cuddled her close, a sleepy haze drifting over his brain. His heartbeat slowed, his muscles relaxing, his cock withdrawing to its sheath. Maybe he’d been afraid to be attracted to her, for fear of risking their friendship. Here, laying together on an old, narrow bed, moonlight gleaming off her fur, that seemed more than a little silly. Their friendship remained, that connection now joined by a growing and greater need. As he snuggled closer, he knew he’d never let her go.

  — Chapter 13 —

  Trending

Sunrise bloomed outside, shining warmth between the trees, through the old windows, and onto Max’s bedroom floor. Wakefulness settled on Kylie like morning dew. A deep breath led to a stretch, which led to noticing she lay in the arms of a handsome, slumbering husky. She abandoned the stretch and snuggled into the breadth of his chest, giddy all over again.

With his door shut, and hers closed upstairs, her mom might not have any clue about the impromptu sleepover. A very good thing, she figured. The last thing she wanted right now was an awkward talk from her mother. It was hard to decide if the older otter would censure them for rushing forward or poke fun and wish them luck. She couldn’t decide which would be more uncomfortable.

Sex hadn’t been like she expected. She and Max always read each other like a final draft script, but sex had felt clunky. Wonderful, sure, but not the perfect rush of super-sexy fantasies she’d expected. Wasn’t sex with the guy of your dreams supposed to be mind-blowing? Also, she wished someone had warned her about being all sore the next day. Was that normal? Or because she’d chosen an enthusiastic and gigantic partner?

Max pulled her close, laying between her and the edge of the bed. They’d gotten close during filming, to the point of casual touching, but he’d kept even closer since seeing the monster. A tiny, irrational part of her worried they only got together because of what they’d seen. Dear, sweet Maxie; he might hang around her to protect her, but he wouldn’t sleep with her just to make her feel safe. Would he?

She chased the concerns from her mind, rolling to face Max. “Good morning.”

A soft smile rose to his muzzle. “Morning, rudderbutt.”

“Mmmm.” She wiggled against him. “So: confession…”

His ears tuned in on her, but he smirked. “Should I get tested?”

“What? No!” She swatted his arm. “You know we’re the two only virgins in Hollywood.”

A smirk as he pulled semen-stained sheets over their nude, entangled bodies. “Well, we were.”

“Whatever! Let me talk.” She blushed under her fur. “You know how there’s fanfiction of…us?”

He suppressed a laugh against her forehead. “You read it?”

“I started as the show was ending.” The otter chittered a nervous giggle. “Apparently, Cassie and Serge have wild sex whenever they’re alone and off camera.”

“Sounds like a plan to me.” His paw caressed her flank, a moving bump under the covers. Those powerful arms wrapped around her, one leg finding its way over her thigh. “How’d we compare?”

Her head rested on his arm. Fanfiction might have overplayed how good the sex would feel, but the cuddling… Cuddling with Max, free to be as close to him as she wanted with nothing but fur between them, was everything she’d hoped for and more. Being buried muzzle-deep in his scent and warm fluff, that did blow her
mind. “Pretty well.” She patted his side. Sleep stole over her, dipping her into dreams more peaceful than she’d found since arriving in Windfall. Or possibly ever.

The otter awoke to the wild drumming of a tail against the mattress. Still under her lover’s arm, she turned to see a very happy husky. “Hey Maxie.”

A sleepy bump of noses followed. “Hey there, rudderbutt.”

She nuzzled under his chin. “So, I had this awesome dream last night.”

His arms tightened around her shoulders. “Yeah, me too.”

  “So…fun?”

  “Mmm-hmm.”

She smiled. Shy fingertips traced his arm. “Was that how you pictured your first time?”

“I think I pictured more candles and soft music…” He caressed her hip. “…but the important stuff was all there.”

  Her lips met his.

Stroking down her back, he kissed in return. “Plus, now I’m even more familiar with your rudderbutt.” His paw groped her ample tail.

“Ee!” Her head nestled against the bare fluff of his chest. A shared, content silence wrapped around them, accented only by breathing. “I was scared things would change when we started dating.”

His tail thumped the bed as he leaned in to kiss her on the brow. “You’re still you, and I’m still me. I’m just allowed to notice what a nice butt you’ve got now.”

She giggled, rolling closer against his chest. “You’ve got a nice butt too; nice and fluffy.” Her hand slipped up and earned a whimper from him as she gently rolled his testicles along her fingers. “Wow, Maxie. Even your balls are soft.”

He squirmed, panting against her ear. “Might want to hold off. Don’t want to wake up your mom.”

That stopped her cold. “Oh right. Forgot about Mom.” She cast a wary eye at the door. Her eyes shot wide. “You need to go scout if Mom is out there so I can sneak back to my room.”

His paw stroked up to her shoulder, his touch light and calming. “Do you really think we’re going to be able to hide this from her forever?” He glanced over their entwined, blanket-covered bodies. “Her mom-sense probably went off the moment you lost your virginity.”

Peeking under the covers, she blushed. “Oh yeah, w-we’re naked, aren’t we?” Her gaze flicked through the room. “Where are my clothes?”

“On the floor. And the chair. And the dresser.”

The otter snaked out of bed, gathering garments. “Panties. Where are my panties?”

“Don’t you remember?” He propped his paws behind his head and watched her naked form, quite interested. “You left them on my doorknob.”

“Not even funny, Max.” Fighting her way into her shirt, it somehow wound up inside out, forcing her to start over.

“Honestly, I think we can relax a little. Your mom probably saw this one coming.” He watched her stumble into her clothes. “What’s the worst she’ll do?”

Her vest came next, pulled straight but unzipped. “Snap a picture, frame it, and engrave the frame ‘I told you so.’”

“You’re going to make me put on pants, aren’t you?” He crawled out of bed and located his trousers, though his gaze barely strayed from her half-clothed form. True to his word, he seemed to be having a hard time taking his eyes off her hips.

With a quiet cry of victory, Kylie found her panties on the nightstand lamp. A few quick hops saw her into them, followed by her jeans.

The husky strutted over to the dresser and made a show of pulling on fresh boxers and pants, then drooped his ears at his own boldness. Still blushing, he buttoned her tail strap without being asked. And if his paws strayed a little while they were back there, she couldn’t say she minded.

“Thanks.” She spread her arms. “Respectable?”

Deep blue eyes flashed over her. “More than you usually look before coffee.” His ears lifted. “Wait, where’s your bra?”

“Upstairs in my dresser.” She gave a knowing smirk. “I haven’t worn one around the house since you got here. Not a great idea on a hike, by the way—learned that the first day.”

A deep pink rushed to the insides of his erect ears.

With an exasperated groan, she puffed up her chest and wiggled for emphasis. “You seriously didn’t notice?”

He gave a shy shake of his head, eyes locked on her breasts. “I noticed.” He blushed even redder. “I just didn’t know you wanted me to.”

“Sheesh, Maxie.” She leaned back, paws covering her face. “It’s a miracle I ever seduced you.” She turned to open the door for him.

A gentle husky paw closed around her wrist. He pulled her into a soft embrace, pressing her rumpled t-shirt to the bare fur of his chest. Then his muzzle lowered onto hers in a soft, slow kiss. His fingers trailed through her hair to cup her cheek. His eyes met hers, misty and sincere. “I’m really glad you did, Kylie.”

The otter wiggled with joy against him. “Me too.”

After another warm moment, she stepped aside and let him out the door. Padding through the entryway, he glanced up the stairs, ears perked for any noise, then poked his nose into the kitchen. He returned after a moment with a note.

Kylie’s sigh of relief stirred the paper. “Dodged a bullet there.”

Max’s eyes rolled, then his stomach gurgled.

  She glanced his way. “Breakfast?”

Options bounced around his mind, evidenced by the set of his muzzle. “Waffles?”

“Sure!” She padded after him to the kitchen.

He smiled and started gathering ingredients: waffle mix, eggs, milk, oil.

The otter left him to whip them together and scampered into the dining room to rummage through boxes. Where had Mom put the small appliances? She searched, until, in the third box, it shone with promise. With a triumphant squawk, she paraded into the room with a waffle iron, which she set on the counter and opened it to reveal fish-shaped spaces.

The husky groaned. “Of course. Where the heck did you find a fish-shaped novelty waffle iron?”

“It’s not novelty! It’s imported. Taiyaki are the waffles of the Orient.” She dug through the various jars in the door of the fridge, letting her tail sway against his wrist.

His paws traced its contours. Rough paw pads sang over slick fur as he slipped a hand the wrong way against the fur and tugged the tail-clasp of her jeans.

A squeak bounced her upright, a jar of red bean paste clutched to her chest. “Hey!” A skip closed the distance, bringing her muzzle to his cheek. A kiss. Their eyes met in a sparkle of happiness. “You’re lucky I like you, Maxie.”

“No kidding.” He wagged, then turned to measure batter into the iron, spreading it so it’d adhere to the surface when closed.

Kylie nestled in next to him and glopped bean paste into each tray, closing the iron with an expert flick of her webbed paws. She then pushed him back against the cabinets and kissed him again. Her tongue swirled around his, only stopping when a soft click announced the taiyaki had cooked.

After toasting a few more of the fish-shaped pastries, Kylie tossed them in a paper bag and headed to the door with a smile.

The husky followed, led by the smell. “Umm, where are we going?”

“That curio shop you told me about. I’d never even heard about it before yesterday.” She swung the bag.

His muzzle tracked the bag, though his eyes stayed on her. “You think the owner knows something? What makes you think he’d tell us?”

“Because we’ll show him the disk.” The otter grabbed her satchel and backed out the doorway.

Closing the door after them, he leaned down to sniff at the pastries. “You don’t think that’ll make us look…?”

“Crazy? Max, I can either spend all my time telling people I’m sane, or hunt a monster and prove it.” Heading past a stack of new shingles, she handed him another fish-shaped waffle.

The dog ate half the pastry in a series of happ
y chomps, then nodded.

They padded across the driveway. Cool shade welcomed them to the forest as they followed old game trails. The otter spun to survey her boyfriend. A lingering tension clung to his posture. His ears strained, perked upright and nose sniffing for any incoming monsters. She smiled his way, though, and took one of his big paws in hers. Like he’d said, nobody had ever seen monsters this close to town. His eyes met hers. A smile grew on his muzzle.

The ground sloped down to Windfall, easing each stride. Her gait bounced even more, though, mulling over the events and sensations of last night. A little sore now perhaps, but he’d filled her so well. Her muscles clenched just thinking about it. And the doggy had more to give; they hadn’t even worked his knot in. Maybe she if she took a nice hot shower first, she’d be stretchier? Maybe he could join her? Possibilities swirled into daydreams, ceasing only when she realized they’d stopped.

Max, ears cocked and amused, fish-pastry in paw, watched her watch him.

The otter wiped the obscene smile from her muzzle, then shrugged with a blush.

Silent but smiling, he wiped crumbs on his jeans and drew her close. A soft nuzzle grew into a kiss, then bloomed into several more. The soft sound of wind on leaves swept around them, the landscape alive and brimming with wonder. She lived in a world with monsters now, but she’d found something else with Max, something that made moments like this utterly safe.

The kisses tapered off, leaving them standing in each other’s embrace. Max tilted his head onward, tail swishing in the breeze. They continued through the woods. As they finished the last of the pastries, their steps fell on sun-hot sidewalks instead of mossy earth. They ambled through town, past locals with places to be and tourists looking for the same. Even after months in town, the degree to which weekends enlivened it amazed her. The streets flooded with tourists and locals, eager to lose money in the gaudy shops. A few people whispered and pointed, but no one stopped them for autographs, which she took as a blessing. Slipping through the last of the bustle, they reached the curio shop, only to find a closed sign.
