“What are you here for then?”

“I’m looking at the ass I’m about to fuck.” He growls.

Oh the hide. “Well get your dick out and put it to use.”

He rips his shirt over his head angrily. “You piss me off.”

  I smirk. “Ditto.”

He rips his pants off and throws them to the side and then he is on me. Before I can reply, he has me lifted and impaled on his cock. I cry out as he pins me against the wall and wraps my legs around his waist. His dark eyes watch my lips and his mouth hangs slack. Oh God. My eyes close at the overwhelming feeling of his claiming. He slams into me and lifts me back and forth onto him.

  “Ahh, careful,” I cry.

He rips through my flesh and I think I feel myself tear.

“You’re hurting me,” I murmur, but he’s not. Not even close. It’s a good pain—an addictive pain.

“Let’s get one thing fucking straight.” He pumps hard. “You don’t act like someone you’re not.” He slams me again and I am dizzy from the strength of this beast. What is he talking about?

“I wasn’t acting,” I murmur as he hits me hard again and I feel him all the way to my neck.

“When weren’t you acting?” He growls, the veins in his chest and shoulders all pump with adrenaline.

“When I told you I wanted you.”

He pumps me hard again and we both cry out. This is too good. He was made to fill me.

  “Do you?” he cries.

  “God, yes.”

He slams into me as we both hold onto each other tightly.

“More than anything I want you.”

He takes my lips in his and kisses me. Unable to hold it, I shudder as an orgasm rips through me. It triggers his and he groans as I feel his hot seed burn me from inside.

Out tongues dance for an extended time and suddenly the beast is tamed. Our touch becomes gentle, tender. I kiss his cheek and then his face and, overwhelmed with emotion, I start to shower his face in baby kisses. He holds me tightly in his arms as if processing something, and I feel the desperate urge to protect him.

“Why are you being crazy?” I whisper.

He pulls his body out of mine and my legs drop to the floor. He slowly puts me down onto the tiles.

“You’re making me fucking crazy,” he whispers as if confused.

“Stace.” I kiss him and wrap my arms around his broad muscular frame.

“What?” he replies against my forehead as he holds me. I get the feeling that he can’t even look at me.

“I got your back, baby, you can trust me.”

  Stace

She lies on her side and smiles softly at me as she holds my hand in hers. Her long, dark hair is splayed across my pillow and she has a sheen of perspiration dusting her skin from our carnal activities just moments ago. I have never fucked the same woman so many times in succession in all of my life. I can’t get enough of her. She is blowing my mind and it is seriously pissing me off. My chest rises and falls as I try to regain my breath.

Fucking beautiful, deceiving bitch. I have so many questions. Who is she? What is she doing here and why does she feel the need to protect me? Where did she learn to fight?

I think for a moment as we lie in the stillness, hand in hand.

A cop. Is she a cop?

  Fuck.

She’s trying to get to Vikinos.

I fell straight into the bloody trap.

  Fucking idiot.

She has to be a cop, who else could she be? My mind goes back to when we found her as she came out of that back door. It wasn’t a coincidence at all that she witnessed that hit, but then she was crying? Why was she crying? I think for a moment. Do we have a mole on the ship that has tipped them off?

  Fuck, I’m so confused.

I think about it for a moment. What if she acted vulnerable knowing that I would protect her?

She got me. She got me good. I thought butter wouldn’t have melted in her mouth.

“You okay?” she whispers, breaking my thoughts.

I fake a smile and take her in my arms and kiss her forehead. “Yeah, baby. I got a lot on my mind.”

  “Like what?”

My fury simmers dangerously close to the surface. Wouldn’t she like to know? “Work stuff, nothing you need to worry about.”

She slides her top leg over mine and I feel my cock reharden. For fuck’s sake, enough with the fucking erections. My mind continues to wander. I’m going to have to kill her. Her leg slides up against mine and I feel myself harden further.

How? I need to get into the gun safe. I can’t kill her with my hands. I already know that.

She softly nestles into my chest and sighs happily.

  Fuck.

This brings sleeping with the enemy to a whole new level.

She leans up onto her elbow and smiles down at me and then leans in and gently kisses my lips. My eyes close. I can’t keep them open when she kisses me.

“I wanted to talk to you about something,” she murmurs.

  “Yeah?”

“Last night when I was at dinner, I overheard Stucco and that skanky girl with the black hair talking.”

My eyes hold hers and I fold my arms behind my head. “And?”

“He said he was going to kill you.”

“He’s a fuckwit and threatens to kill me weekly.” I run my fingers through her long, dark hair without thinking. Her big, beautiful eyes stare down at me and I feel my chest constrict.

“He said he needed to get into the gun safe.”

I frown. She must have heard him. How else would she know about the gun safe?

“And you are telling me this because…?”

She screws up her face as if I am stupid. “Because I don’t want anything to happen to you. I think you need to carry a gun to protect yourself against this pre-planned mutiny.”

I smirk. She’s a good actor and probably should get an Oscar. “You don’t need to worry about me. I can take care of myself.”

She sits up and the blankets fall revealing her breasts. My eyes instinctively drop to them and I reach out and cup one in my hand as I think.

  “Stace,” she whispers.

My eyes meet hers. Why did I tell her my real name? She’s the first person it has ever slipped out to. Idiot.

“Baby, listen to me.” She reaches out and dusts my bottom lip with her thumb. “You are in danger and I can’t protect you.”

  “I don’t need protecting.”

“But, I will. Please know that.”

Our eyes are locked and I want to ask who she is and why she’s here, but I can’t. I know I can’t trust her. I wish that I could because a woman hasn’t made me feel like this… ever.

“You need to worry about your own safety,” I murmur as a warning.

“Can you get me a gun?” she asks innocently.

I bite my bottom lip to hide my smile. She has got to be fucking kidding? “Do you know how to shoot?”

  She shrugs. “A bit.”

I run my hand up her thigh and slide my finger into her dripping sex. She is molten lava hot. I add another two fingers and she groans and spreads her legs for me. “Where did you learn?” I ask.

She closes her eyes and arches her back as I pump her with my hand. “My father used to take me to the shooting range.”

I give her a hard push with my hand and she cries out.

  I want to yell liar.

I want to kill her right now for lying to me and making me desperate to be inside her while she does it.

“Suck my cock,” I demand as I grab her head and push her down. She gives me a carnal smile as she disappears down my body.

She moans in pleasure and the sound releases a gush of pre-ejaculate. My mouth hangs slack in pleasure. Hmm, so fucking good.

I lie back and close my eyes as I think of a way to kill the beautiful deceiver while she sucks me dry.

I tiptoe down the darkened staircase as my eyes glance around g
uiltily. It’s just on 7pm and Stace has gone to the gym for an hour, while I am supposed to be getting ready for dinner. The ship is quiet as everyone prepares for their night. The engine is the only constant sound. I’m exhausted and had the best day I think I have ever had in my life. Stace had a rostered day off and we spent the whole of it in bed.

The man is a bonafide sex god.

He makes the other men I have been with seem like really bad foreplay. I can’t believe what I’ve been missing out on all this time. His dry sense of humour makes me laugh and it’s weird between us. We talk endless small talk, neither of us asking questions about the other one’s life. I’m not sure I want to know what his life has been like and how he lives or why he goes by a fake name, and I don’t think he is interested in mine. Although, I’m not sure about that. He gives off mixed signals and I swing from feeling like the only woman in the world for him, back to what I really am… a roommate he is just fucking to pass the time. I’m under no illusion that this is anything more than what it is, but Hell, it’s fun. I know nothing more of him than I did this morning, only that he wasn’t kidding and he really does like to ejaculate to relax. Oh, and the small fact that I am probably going straight to Hell because when he jumped me in the shower this morning with no warning, we both totally forgot about a condom. He assures me he has always worn them and that I am the first, but doesn’t every guy say that to stupid girls who get lost in the moment? I have had the injection so at least pregnancy isn’t on my mind. I smile broadly. Baby Stace… wouldn’t that be something?

I have seventeen days left on the ship. Seventeen days and I am on my way to freedom. I get to the bottom of the stairs to find big, red double doors. If I go through the doors, what happens if somebody is on the other side? Fuck, I can’t see where they open. Getting into this maintenance room isn’t an option. I wonder if it’s manned all the time? I stand for a moment as I think. If I get caught in here, what do I say? Why would I be looking down here?

Shit, my mind is blank. Umm… I have nothing. For five minutes, I troll my brain, until finally it hits me. I’m looking for him. Stace. Shit, I mean Mac. I’m looking for Mac. Yeah, if someone asks me I am simply looking for Mac. He told me he was going to fix something and I came here looking for him. It’s simple, and most importantly, believable. I tentatively open the door and peer in. The room is dark and the sound of the engines is loud and churning. It’s huge with machines everywhere and doorways that lead into rooms. Okay, what am I looking for? I walk along the huge corridor as I search for what I need. I get to a room and I open the door and find desks with computers on each one. My eyes widen. Shit, do these have Internet? I close the door sit down and look at the computer in front of me. It’s got red lines in swirls on it. What the hell does that mean? I go to the next computer and it has a graph of some sort on it. The third has something else with all colors and swirls. Hmm, if I hit one of the keys, will an alarm go off?

I think for a moment. This could be freedom, but do I really want to ruin the plans I have to be saved?

  I’m saving myself, remember?

I decide to stick to my original plan and go back out into the main area. I see a sign ‘Tools’ above a doorway.

  Yes.

I walk into the large room and close the door behind me. I walk along the aisles as I search for what I need. I pull out the top draw… nothing.

The second drawer slides out and I smile broadly.

  Bingo.

I pick up the long, pointed screwdriver, and then look at the other ones next to it. I grab another two and put them down my pants. I keep opening the drawers until I find a long blade. I hold it up and smile.

Here you are, baby. Come to Momma.

I sit in my office and go through the last of the maintenance reports. It’s just gone dark and I have been here all day. Shit, I have a lot to do this week. It’s overwhelming, to be honest. The rotators need replacing and the bearings are all on their way out. I have six choppers coming in and I have to go through the keys and make sure they are all here. I can’t stand another fuck up like the last pick up. I looked so incompetent. My mind goes to Stucco and the hiding I gave him the other night. I didn’t want to stop, and if I didn’t want to blow it, I wouldn’t have. It’s no wonder he wants to kill me. One thing is playing on my mind though… the gun vault thing. She mentioned the gun vault, which would mean she really did hear him say he wanted to get into it. He may be serious this time. Who knows? A broad smile crosses my face as I recall Rosh kicking the weak prick’s ass in the corridor. Even she can beat him. An unfamiliar emotion runs through me when I think of Rosh. I get a vision of her on me laughing out loud and carefree… of us kissing. I’ve been let down by a lot of people in my life and I couldn’t have cared less.

  This one is different.

I’m waiting for the last of the office staff to leave their stations in the control tower so I can ring Chris, my contact on dry land.

“You want me to do anything else before I go?” Jack asks.

I smile. “No, mate, you go. I got another hours work to get through here.”

“Okay, catch you later.” He packs up his desk and I wait for him to walk down the stairs. I flick through my diary until I get to the phone number disguised as a product order key and I dial the number.

Ring, ring. I wait. Come on pick up, pick up. Ring, ring.

  “Hello,” the happy voice calls.

An instant smile crosses my face. “Yo, Chris.”

“Hey,” he calls excitedly. “Stace, man. Where you been, bro?”

I laugh out loud. “Missing you, you ugly prick.” I swing my chair from side to side. It’s good to hear his voice. Chris was my best friend all through school, and even now as I live in an ulterior universe to him, he is still my best friend. He works for the United States Government and has contacts everywhere. A diplomat, no less.

  “Hey. I got big news.”

  I smile. “Yeah, what’s that?”

  “I’m getting married.”

“What? No way?” I laugh. “Tell Elsa deepest condolences.”

“She’s the luckiest bitch on Earth to get to bang me for life.” I can hear the happiness in his voice.

“Congratulations, man.” I smile. Elsa is his high school sweetheart; he has loved that girl since he was twelve years old.

“You going to be my best man?”

My face falls as I am overcome with emotion. “Really?”

  “Really.”

“I’d be honored.” I pause. I can’t believe he asked me. “Thank you, it means a lot.”

Chris knows I have fallen on the wrong side of the track, and yet his loyalty has never wavered once. He doesn’t ask questions and I would literally lay my life down to protect him.

Justin, my brother, and he and I were inseparable all though school. The things we got up to.

  God, we wreaked havoc.

“The wedding is next year in April. Make sure you are home.”

  I smile. “Okay.”

  “You still on that ship?”

  “Yeah.”

  “You okay?”

“Yeah, I’m doing good. Have you seen Mom?” I ask.

“Mom has said she is doing okay. Missing you, of course.”

Guilt fills me. I should be around for her. “Listen, man, I need a favour.”

  “What?”

  “I met this chick—”

“No, I can’t fuck her. I’m taken,” he interrupts.

I laugh. “She wouldn’t have you anyway, you fat prick.”

  “Anyway.” He laughs. “Go on.”

“Something is not adding up. Can you run a background check on her for me?” I hold her licence up and read the details.

“Yeah, no worries. What’s the name?”

  “Roshelle Myers.”

  “How do you spell it?”

  “R.O.S.H.E.L.L.E,” I spell out. “M.Y.E.R.S.”

  “Date of Birth?”

  “1
4th of October 1993.” Her birthday is in four weeks. I do the maths. She’s 24 turning 25.

  “Address?”

  I read her address out.

“So what’s the deal with this chick?” he asks.

“I hooked up with her a couple of months ago and we have been chatting online, but I get the feeling she is not who she says she is. I just want to check everything before we go on vacation together to save myself some hassle later.”

  “You think she’s married?”

I screw up my face. “Yeah, maybe.” I try to think what else I need. “I want all the details. Job, current and past relationships, convictions. Memberships, stuff like that.”

“I’m on it. I will put it through now but it takes about 24 hours to come back.”

“So if I ring you tomorrow night you should have it?”

“Yep.” He pauses. “It’s good to hear from you, man.”

I smile sadly, I wish things could go back to the way they were. “You, too. Take care of that beautiful girl of yours.”

“Any luck she will be pregnant and horny this time next year.”

I laugh and rub my eyes with my hand. “Oh God. I can’t even imagine your poor kid dealing with you as a dad. Poor fucker.”

  He laughs. “Speak tomorrow.”

  “Bye.” I hang up.

And silence falls in the office again. Soon, Roshelle Myers, I will know who you really are.

I put my hands behind my head and inhale deeply as I lean back on my chair.

It’s going to be a long twenty-four hours.

  * * *

  Rosh.

I walk along the deck of the ship in between the containers as the light fades. Dusk is the quietest time of the day here as everyone goes back to their cabins to prepare for dinner. Stace is still working and something is going on with him. He’s different to the first night we slept together. Something changed yesterday morning when he went to get me breakfast. Did he see me hit Stucco?

Fuck. Why did I do that? I nearly blew my cover.

I’m going to have to take Stucco out before he kills Stace or the plan is out the window.

  I don’t need this shit.

I smile softly to myself as I get an image of Stace—beautiful, sexy Stace. The only regret I have is that we didn’t meet under different circumstances like he said. If he wasn’t a murderer connected with this ship.
