Zhong Yue gritted his teeth and pulled out the Fang Blade behind his back while he said, “Dear senior martial brothers, please don’t act recklessly. My Fang Blade is made with the fang of a god, how would you be able to put up a fight against me?”

The dhole headed Qi Practitioner laughed and replied, “The god’s fang is a precious weapon. Even a Spirit Body Qi Practitioner couldn’t elicit its full potential, not to mention someone as weak as you! The god’s fang is just an ornament in your hands! Dragon brat, hand it over right now!”

Zhong Yue showed an uncertain expression and after a brief moment, he gritted his teeth and hurled the god fang into the ground in front of him before he backed off. He then said, “Senior martial brothers, remember what you said and I hope you will keep your promise by letting me go.”

The wolf-headed Qi Practitioner laughed and walked forward to grab the hilt of the god fang. He then praised, “Heavy! No wonder it is called the god’s fang. Brother Chai, let’s just kill him.”

The dhole headed Qi Practitioner hurled his steel fork towards Zhong Yue and he laughed, “If he used the god fang to fight, we would have to spend some effort to kill him. But without his god fang, killing him would be as easy as a pie!”

The wolf-headed Qi Practitioner lifted his hand and the god fang to examine it closely. Suddenly, a golden Sword Qi shot out from the Fang Blade and the golden Sword Qi pierced his head with incredible speed!

The wolf-headed Qi Practitioner’s countenance was frozen in stupefaction as a hole appeared on his forehead and occiput. He then murmured, “How is it possible that you could control the god’s fang….”

At the same time, Zhong Yue did not push forward, instead, he backed away and rushed towards the black ray and a scarlet little tree appeared in his hand. As he waved his hand, eighteen Sword Qi energy rays flew up and flew towards the dhole headed Qi Practitioner!

“I did not control the Fang Blade, I merely hid my Sword Qi inside the Fang Blade.”

Zhong Yue waved his hands again and the golden Sword Qi that pierced the head of the wolf-headed Qi Practitioner immediately landed on the ground. It then transformed into a tiny Xiang Dragon that charged at the dhole headed Qi Practitioner with an unstoppable power!

The dhole headed Qi Practitioner was stunned as he had never thought that his friend would die so fast.

They were already beyond the level of just a Qi Practitioner. Their own souls had morphed into the Yuan Shen and their strengths already surpassed that of Hu Wensheng, Bai Xiushi and the others. If they were to fight directly just like that, the wolf-headed Qi Practitioner would not lose without putting up a risky fight!

He died so fast because the information they had on Zhong Yue was that this ‘Long Yue’ was still a newbie that was not even a Qi Practitioner. He had only managed to killed Sun Xiao through a stroke of luck. However, little did they know that even though Zhong Yue was still not a Qi Practitioner back during the older days, he had already cultivated the Sword Qi for a long time, hence, managing to catch the wolf-headed Qi Practitioner off guard by concealing his Sword Qi inside of the god fang.

The eighteen rays of Sword Qi flew and slashed at their target with high speed while the dhole headed Qi Practitioner shouted. As his psyche was stimulated, his psyche surrounded him and condensed into a turtle-shaped shield.

There were condensed ferric elements that coated the surface of the turtle-shaped shield. From the looks of it, the shield must be a defensive ability that was created by absorbing the ferric elements from the environment and combining them with the psyche.

These shields flew everywhere and released resonant clashing sounds as they came in contact with the eighteen Sword Qis. Surprisingly, none of the eighteen Sword Qi rays managed to penetrate the defense of these shields!

Suddenly, the Xiang Dragon Sword Qi approached ferociously and ascended from the ground before morphing into a Sword Qi manifestation, slashing towards the dhole headed Qi Practitioner.

The dhole headed Qi Practitioner took out another steel fork from his back and used it to fend off the Xiang Dragon Sword Qi, preventing the Sword Qi from closing in. As they clashed together, an ear-deafening noise was created.

At the same time, the black ray also got dangerously close to Zhong Yue and the Jiao Dragons that was wounded around him immediately charged at the black rays with the Jiao Dragon Sword Qi continuing to dance around him. However, the Jiao Dragon Sword Qi was not a proper defensive technique, thus, giving the chance for the black ray to penetrate its defenses.

Zhong Yue immediately started moving in order to evade the attacks and the dhole headed Qi Practitioner felt relieved after seeing this. The monster Qi practitioner then thought, This dragon brat lacks defensive techniques and arts, which means killing him would be much easier than expected.

He reached his hand to the back where he actually carried a cloth bag. When he opened the bag, countless steel forks could be seen lying quietly in the bag.

The little steel forks then started flying towards Zhong Yue unceasingly as they strived to kill him!

Whereas a huge monster god appeared on the back of the dhole headed Qi Practitioner – his manifested spirit. His spirit was a dhole headed monster deity with eight hands; four steel forks and four shields were held in each of his hands respectively. As he stretched his arms out, he formed an impregnable barrier around the dhole headed Qi Practitioner, allowing no room for the Xiang Dragon Sword Qi to penetrate its defense!

All of a sudden, a little sapling appeared under Zhong Yue’s legs and it immediately burrowed into the grounds, disappearing completely.

As the steel forks turned into black rays and rained down on Zhong Yue, he was left with no options but to retreat. Instead of getting closer to the dhole headed Qi Practitioner, he was being pressured by the relentless attacks of the dhole headed Qi Practitioner.

Whereas for the dhole headed Qi Practitioner, he was trapped by the eighteen Sword Qi rays and the Xiang Dragon Sword Qi that flew around him quickly prevented him from moving freely as well.

Suddenly, a sapling grew out from the ground under the dhole headed Qi Practitioner. This sapling was the Wood Sword Qi of Zhong Yue! The sapling then grew rapidly and in a split second, had become a skyscraping huge tree with its branches flared out omnidirectionally. It then unleashed a torrent of Sword Qi that instantly drowned its surroundings in wood elemental energy!

The dhole headed Qi Practitioner was tossed into the air and he could only let out a shriek before being utterly eviscerated by the Wood Sword Qi. The morsels of his shredded remains were scattered all over the area as the wood elemental Sword Qi dissipated without a trace.

Without their master channeling them, the black rays stopped flying and fell to the ground.

Zhong Yue panted heavily and recollected his distracted thoughts before recalling the Wood Sword Qi and Xiang Dragon Sword Qi. He then picked up the god fang and resheathed it onto his back. During the battle just now, he had inevitably felt a tense sense of apprehension as this was his first time fighting with Qi Practitioners with his life on the line.

  *Cough* Cough*

Jun Sixie smiled helplessly as black colored blood gushed out from her mouth. She then mocked Zhong Yue by saying, “Monsters will always be monsters, killing their own kin mercilessly, You even used dirty tactics in order to win….”

Zhong Yue walked in front and picked up the steel forks before he went to pick up the spiked rods that belonged to the wolf-headed Qi Practitioner. As he heard the remarks of Jun SIxie, he did not turn his head and he replied, “We are not of the same kin.”

“That’s right, you are from the dragon race, meaning that you are not of the same race with them.

Jun Sixie then suddenly felt a little hope and she said while coughing blood, “The dragons are a proud and honorable race. We are all Qi Practitioners and instead of capturing me alive and let me be humiliated by the monsters, honor me by killing me! Bring my head to the lord of Lord Yan and Lord X
iutian and they will reward you generously….”

A Jiao Dragon appeared behind Zhong Yue and he placed the spiked rod behind him while he replied confusingly, “What are you saying? Why would I kill you?”

He then started walking towards her and Jun Sixie suddenly recalled that dragons are all licentious creatures who aren’t particularly picky about their choice of mate. Fear could be seen written all over her face and she pleaded strugglingly, “Don’t come near me….”

The Jiao Dragon behind Zhong Yue stretched out its claw and grabbed onto the fork that nailed her to the tree. He then freed her by removing the steel fork.

The young man then got closer and smelled the wound located on her shoulder. His series of actions scared Jun Sixie even more. She tried to get away from him but to no avail as there was a tree blocking her and she screamed, “What are you doing? Please don’t act recklessly!”

Zhong Yue then replied, “Senior martial sister, don’t shout, I’m trying to identify the poison in your body.”

Jun Sixie was not convinced and she said, “Are you able to identify it?”

Zhong Yue replied shyly, “Unfortunately, no. I have little knowledge about poison.”

Jun Sixie got angry and said, “And you still got close and smelled me even though you had no knowledge about it?”

Another Jiao Dragon reached out its head and opened its jaws to suck away the poison at the shoulder of Jun Sixie. The Jiao Dragon then spat out the poison before it reached out its claw and grabbed the zither lying down on the ground.

“Jun Sixie, to be honest, I’m from neither monster nor dragon race. I am a human”

Zhong Yue’s face slowly changed and recovered back to his original face. He then said, “Zhong Shan Clan, Zhong Yue, a new Qi Practitioner of the Swords Gate. My greetings, Senior Martial Sister Jun.”

  “You, you….”

The girl dressed in green was dumbstruck and was momentarily left speechless. She then regained her lucidity and said, “Wait a minute! The two monster Qi Practitioners said that you were a lord under the Gu Xia City, how is that possible that you are a Qi Practitioner from the Swords Gate?”

Zhong Yue unleashed his psyche and formed a smaller Jiao Dragon to carry the girl. He then laughed and replied, “This is a long story, let us skip this part now to prevent any time being wasted.”

Jun Sixie was enraged by him but Zhong Yue’s Jiao Dragon had her tied up firmly on its back like a sack of potatoes with her firm, round and bouncy apple bottom proudly displayed to the world. The girl could not move and she opened her beautiful eyes widely while shouting angrily, “You are a human Qi Practitioner, why are you tying me up!”

Zhong Yue replied, “The monster Qi Practitioners are all over the Savanna Wasteland looking for you. If we encountered them like that, they would not think that I am a friend of yours, instead, they would think that I was the one who captured you. I’m merely putting on a show, I beg for your forgiveness. By the way, you have a really great body!”

He then shifted his sights away from her butt and waist before he inhaled a deep breath and returned to his “Long Yue” disguise. Just as Jun Sixie started to believe him, she saw Zhong Yue was walking towards Gu Xia City instead of the Great Wilderness while the Jiao Dragons under them were also facing towards Gu Xia City. At that moment, she felt angry and shocked.

However, at this moment, the Jiao Dragons started to soar backward, its flight being led by its tail.

Jun Sixie was stunned and she immediately realized Zhong Yue’s purpose. She then thought, What a smart guy ... Hmph, so he is actually a sly and cunning one! He walked back to the Great Wilderness and if any monster Qi Practitioners encountered us, he could spot them in an instant. He could then pretend to be rushing towards Gu Xia City. His purpose of tying me up was to confuse the monsters by acting like I am his trophy. Other than that, if the monster Qi Practitioners were not alert enough, he probably would succeed in delivering a sneaky fatal blow!

Is this Zhong Shan Clan’s member really a Qi Practitioner from the Swords Gate? He seems young so how is he able to be so meticulous in his actions? Hmmm … Maybe he is just a natural deviant?

The Jiao Dragons’ bodies undulated up and down in rhythm with the flapping of their wings. Their speed was not very fast as they were flying backward, thus, they might probably take a day or two to enter the Great Wilderness.

Jun Sixie looked at Zhong Yue and saw him taking out her zither. He then tried to remove the strings on her zither and she quickly shouted angrily, “What are you doing!?”

“I’m trying to remove the strings.”

Zhong Yue then shouted back in a very low voice, “Senior martial sister, don’t shout. It would be bad if someone heard us.”

She felt as if her sanity was going to snap and she shouted back, “You are breaking my zither and you dare to ask me to shut up? What kind of ruthless man are you… I’m going to go crazy! I definitely won’t shout, I am not stupid!”

Chapter 83: Zither Without Strings |

Jun Sixie clenched her teeth, not long later the young man had disassembled the strings from her soul weapon. The strings were actually threads of sword silk that was continually by Jun Sixie countless of times whereupon it hid a formidable Sword Qi, allowing it to become extremely sharp!

Zhong Yue took down the zither string, he erupted his psyche into it and it slowly extended out. It grew to over three hundred feet long, continuing to grow longer and thinner with the continued inflow of his psyche where soon, it had reached a length of a thousand feet and was still stretching out!

“Senior Martial Sister Jun’s zither string is quite similar to the Sword Cocoons.”

Zhong Yue praised, and with a shift of thought, the zither string slithered in the air, fast as lightning and yet silent as the grave, it was nearly impossible for the opponent to ever guard against its assault.

“The Sword Cocoons of the Ten Malefic Weapons?”

Jun Sixie heard the mumbles and she sneered, “Sword Cocoons is just famous for being in the Ten Malefic Weapons, my zither can be used like the Sword Cocoons, and what’s more, it can slay my enemies with an ear-soothing melody underneath which are hidden a myriad of deadly Sword Qi. It can also be used to place down a sword array. One day, my zither will be stronger than the Sword Cocoons!”

Zhong Yue smiled and said, “Sixty four Sword Cocoons are like sixty-four deadly assassins, it’s not that simple. But senior martial sister, your zither really is something else, it might just be able to surpass the Sword Cocoons.”

“You’ve seen the Sword Cocoons?” Jun Sixie asked curiously.

Zhong Yue nodded, “In the Lawless Battles of the upper house, I’ve fought with it.”

Jun Sixie was stunned, she then rebuked. “Don’t you boast!”

Upper house Lawless Battles? Didn’t that mean that Zhong Yue had fought with the Sword Cocoons when he was not yet even a Qi Practitioner? How could it be?

Zhong Yue did not defend himself, he concentrated on controlling the zither string, familiarizing himself with the power of the string. He slashed and waved the zither string around in the air; if it was someone else controlling it, their thoughts would be addled by the seemingly unlimited variations of the zither string; but it was Zhong Yue, the zither string was soon meandering and twisting with an abstruse grace, casting a few profound sword skills along with the capricious permutations of its movements.

Jun Sixie took a look at it, her heart thumped in shock. The sword skill cast by Zhong Yue was indeed, the art to control the Sword Cocoons, but as he had not grasped the quintessence of the art, his method of casting it seemed a little ludicrous.

Can it be that he has really fought with the Sword Cocoons of the Ten Malefic Weapons before?

Zhong Yue played around with the zither string for an hour until he had entirely familiarized himself with the zither string. Because he was not properly taught in the ways of using one, it would be useless for him to practice it anymore as he w
ould not see further improvements. Hence, the zither string could only be used as an ancillary weapon for ambush, rather than a primary weapon for frontal combat.

The zither string moved in tandem with the shift of his psyche and it wound around the hilt of the Fang Blade.

Jun Sixie’s gazed at her zither string and then turned to look at her zither that was stripped of its strings in grief, her heart was dripping with blood.

Zhong Yue grabbed a steel fork in his hands, he thought to himself, Soul weapons of the monsters are useless to me, why don’t I extract the Sword Qi from it. Xin Huo said before that once I have a spirit, I can then practice the Boundless Great Sword Qi, extract energy from the metallic items and form the Geng Jin Sword Qi. This soul weapon is made of metals, I suppose I can extract a strand of Sword Qi out from it?

Jun Sixie trembled as the Jiao Dragon slithered in the air, her wounds were aching in pain, After traversing a hundred miles of land, the young lady donned in green asked, “Zhong Shan Clan’s member, do you have any Lingyu Paste? I’ve finished mine and my wounds are still bleeding.”

Zhong Yue shook his head and answered, “Nope.”

Jun Sixie was furious and she yelled, “As a Qi Practitioner, how can you not have any Lingyu Paste? The Lingyu Paste is the medicinal remedy for wounds, who doesn’t bring it along with them?”

Zhong Yue responded, “I’ve just become a Qi Practitioner, I haven’t had the time to return back to Swords Gate, so I don’t have any Lingyu Paste with me.”

Jun Sixie took inhaled a deep breath of air and calmed herself down, “Alright, zero Lingyu Paste, but you should at least have some Yuling Pellets or Lingyuan Pellets right? If I can just recover a little bit more, I will then be able to suppress the wounds and repel the residual poisons in me.”

Zhong Yue shook his head again and said, “None at all.”

Jun Sixie was now on the verge of losing her sanity, she shouted out, “You don’t have any Yuling Pellets or Lingyuan Pellets? And yet, you actually have the guts to leave the mountain over to the monster land and disguised yourself as a monster Qi Practitioner? You know nothing at all, how can you be even called as a Qi Practitioner?”
