With over 20 Xuan Yin Banners, the consolidated power was certainly not something to scoff at. If properly wielded, these over 20 banners could easily freeze an Imminent Deity magnate to death!

"Strong indeed...," Yan Zhen was coughing blood out. Two streams of blood flowed down his cheek like tears from his empty eye sockets that were ‘looking' at Zhong Yue. The smile he had on his face was bitter and somewhat twisted, but he finally said, "I've won, but it was at too high of a price. I admit that you are really good, but this is your end!"

He stood up and staggered as he spoke. He picked up a Xuan Yin Banner on the floor as he headed toward Zhong Yue. He smiled as he said, "This is the real world, the real battle, the real fight. There is no such thing as pride and honor, only the victor, and the loser! I've won, and you've lost.

He walked to the front of Zhong Yue, raised his hand and sent the banner down into Zhong Yue's body that was frozen in the ice. Yan Zhen was still smiling, "I've paid two eyes to win this battle, but they weren't sacrificed for nothing. I shall claim your marvelous eyes for my own…"

The Xuan Yin Banner's sharp tip pierced through the ice like a knife cutting through a piece of tofu. Just as the banner tip was already less than half a foot away from Zhong Yue's head, the ice melted into a pool of water. Zhong Yue then stopped the banner with his hand while his other hand cast the【Celestial Demon Tai Chi Art】at Yan Zhen's chest!

Behind Zhong Yue's head, the light wheels revolved rapidly, and the Luminant Sun Gold flew out from the Yuan Shen secret realms. It was this Luminant Sun Gold that melted the Xuan Yi Qi and freed him from the ice!

"You are right, there are only two outcomes, to live… or to die!" Zhong Yue answered deeply.

Yan Zhen's body contorted as he was sucked into the【Celestial Demon Tai Chi Art】. The young demon expert was decisive as well, knowing that he couldn't escape the【Celestial Demon Tai Chi Art】. He madly struck a hundred arms at Zhong Yue!

Zhong Yue's injuries were even more severe. There wasn't a single part of his mortal body that was unscathed. But the pain and wounds couldn't sway his indomitable will in the slightest. He endured it all and continued casting the【Celestial Demon Tai Chi Art】until Yan Zhen was thoroughly sucked into and killed by the【Celestial Demon Tai Chi Art】!

Waves of blood mist then gushed out from the【Celestial Demon Tai Chi Art】when Yan Zhen's mortal body was crushed. The hundred-armed demon god Yuan Shen behind him was sucked into the【Celestial Demon Tai Chi Art】as well, decomposing into pure demonic Qi.

Zhong Yue's mortal body and Yuan Shen then shuddered, and a wave of energy surged into his body. The【Celestial Demon Tai Chi Art】refined Yan Zhen's mortal body and Yuan Shen, even the cultivation base was being broken down and fed to Zhong Yue!

The【Heavenly Saint Godly Radiating Art】's effect... to claim the powers of others as your own.

Zhong Yue quickly suppressed his injuries, and he chanted lowly and clenched his hand into a fist. The【Celestial Demon Tai Chi Art】then shrunk down, and Yan Zhen's energy was then condensed into a pitch-black medicinal pellet.

Demon Saint's【Heavenly Saint Godly Radiating Art】can refine the cultivation base of others for the cultivator's own use. But this isn't the cultivation that one truly cultivated on their own. There must surely be some flaws inherent to this method.

Zhong Yue was coughing blood, he opened his hand, and five bracelet-sized light wheels appeared in his palm. These were Yan Zhen's Yuan Shen secret realm that he refined and condensed into five light wheel bracelets before they completely collapsed.

He then sat down sluggishly like an old man, clenched his hands on the Xuan Yin Banners and carefully pulled them out from his chest one by one.

Yan Zhen had a huge advantage over Zhong Yue in that he possessed the Xuan Yin Hundred Demon Banners. It was such a heaven-defying weapon that with just a quarter the set was capable of taking away Zhong Yue's life.

If it weren't for the Luminant Sun Gold, Zhong Yue would have been the one killed instead.

The so-called young gods of the Kun Lun and A'thoer, are they all this strong? If they are, then that is truly terrifying.

Zhong Yue then thought, I have to cultivate my Inner Core and Heavenly Dharma to the extremity and exceed the common level of the other cultivators, or otherwise, I might not even be able to survive the next fight like this!

His encounter with Yan Zhen gave him a strong sense of danger. If the young gods were all at least this strong. Then there was a high chance he would be killed in the Returning Ruins if he ever had let his mind wander for even a single moment.

The worshipping chants continued to grow louder in the celestial temple, and the godly totem pattern chains multiplied as they slowly weaved a net above on the ceiling and more chain patterns still seeped out from the floor.

Zhong Yue frowned, he forced the broken bones out from his body as he tended to his injuries.

This doesn't look alright. Where did these totem patterns come from? And the chants.…

Zhong Yue thought in his heart while calling the Golden Peng Sword back into his hands. The bones reconnected in his body, and new muscles fibers weaved into the wounds of his body to repair it. He struggled up from the ground and then walked around the temple to collect the rest of the Xuan Yin Banners. Right when Zhong Yue finished collecting all 108 of them, the earth quaked again, and rifts emerged on the floor of the celestial temple.

Zhong Yue's heart skipped a beat, and he dodged the totem pattern chains and walked out of the celestial temple while thinking to himself, These chants are something only the godly spirits should have the privilege of receiving! Is there a god's spirit still residing in this celestial temple?

There was an evil existence, one that destroyed the Six Paths of Reincarnation and shattered the Kun Lun imperial court. This unknown evil placed a curse on all gods that were here before. If there was a godly spirit that was still living despite what had happened all those years ago, then this godly spirit must be incredibly strong!

Furthermore, the Six Paths World was now in a mess, ruins were everywhere, and even the Returning Ruins was affected by the residual energy of the Six Paths of Reincarnation. Those that were affected turned crazy and mad. Zhong Yue was very sure of himself that whoever this spirit was, if it were an amiable spirit in the past, then it most likely wouldn't be now.

Outside the celestial temple, Qiu Jin'er flew over toward him. She also had many wounds from her hard-fought battle with the demon slave. However, in comparison to Zhong Yue, her injuries seemed minor.

"Run!" Zhong Yue grabbed her hand and rushed out like lightning.

  Krong——

The earth quaked, and the celestial temple crumbled away. An appalling aura then rose up from the center of the ruins, and Zhong Yue's vision then blacked out.

Qiu Jin’er could be heard exclaiming, “Senior martial brother, I can’t see anymore…”

"The godly aura has blocked our senses. We are just blocked from seeing the surroundings. We're not permanently blinded."

Zhong Yue inhaled a deep breath of air, and he opened the divine third eye to still be greeted with pure darkness. His heart sank; this god's aura was beyond his imagination. His mortal body, Yuan Shen, and divine third eye were robbed of their vision, sealed by the godly aura. Even his psyche ocean was swallowed by the darkness!

Hefty footsteps could be heard from behind, and the wind that blew over their backs felt like hurricanes. It was the breath of a god!

Sui Sovereign and the imperial court!

Zhong Yue immediately visualized the Sui Sovereign and the Fire Order Palace. Right away, the darkness in his psyche ocean faded away, and his visions slowly returned. He then quickly pulled Qiu Jin'er hand and continued onward!

Behind them, a huge face lowered down and stared at them.

This was a godly spirit that was
n't completely destroyed. Fissures crawled across its face like a fishnet, and holes were everywhere on its body, especially the huge hole at its heart. One of its legs was severed, and one of its eyeballs was dangling below its eye socket.

Zhong Yue and Qiu Jin'er were flashing out like lightning, but the godly spirit's face was still drawing nearer to them, getting bigger and bigger.

Suddenly, Zhong Yue's vision blacked out again, and the Fire Order Palace and Sui Sovereign in his psyche ocean slowly faded away.

Zhong Yue's heart sank. The godly aura grew stronger as it drew nearer to them. It was even able to suppress his arcane energy, psyche, Yuan Shen, and senses. He was blockaded from perceiving the outside world!

This spirit is way too strong, and it is close to us. That's why it can even suppress my visualized Sui Sovereign!

He concentrated on his eyes, but nothing came into his vision. He diverted the focus to his ears, but they failed to register a single decibel; he couldn't even hear himself despite shouting like a madman. All he knew he could do was tight hold onto Qiu Jin'er's hand and continue sprinting forward in the hope that they would soon escape the godly spirit's area of influence.

His hand was never clenched as tightly as it was now. The fear of losing the young lady beside occupied the forefront of his mind, and if that fear came to fruition, he knew that it would be a moment he would regret for the rest of his life.

They continued running for a very long time. At this rate, Zhong Yue and Qiu Jin'er would have traveled over1000 miles, but darkness still persisted without any semblance of light at the end of the tunnel.

He could feel themselves rushing up and down a hill over and over again. They had been stuck in this cycling up and down motion for as long as he could remember. It was as if the path before them were an endless circuit.

Zhong Yue sprinted out faster, for a long time there it was the sensation of running up and down hills.

Zhong Yue's heart turned cold as he noticed it!

Meanwhile, the godly spirit's eyeball was still dangling behind him, and Zhong Yue curiously watched the running humans.

They were so small in its eyes, so tiny that if they weren’t the only living around it, it wouldn’t even notice them. It watched as they traveled on its palm, running up a palm line and moving down from it, then climbing another and rushing down again.

These hills were just godly spirit's palm lines; they were on its palm the whole time!

Suddenly, Zhong Yue stopped, and Qiu Jin'er ran into his back. She shouted, "Senior martial brother!"

As loud as she could shout, she couldn't hear a thing at all and neither could Zhong Yue. The two of them focused their sights, but all they could perceive was still the endless darkness.

The godly spirit's dangling eyeball then moved to their front. The eyeball rolled and made a series of high-pitched creaking noise like as if a beast's claws were raking across a metal wall. But the two youths couldn't hear a thing at all, nor could they see the eyeball in front of them.

Zhong Yue pulled Qiu Jin'er down, and they both sat on the ground. He tried looking into his body, hoping to find something other than darkness. But there wasn't even a single spot that wasn't black.

Even the Yuan Shen secret realms were shrouded in the dark.

Abruptly, a faint light flashed across his eyes, he was overjoyed and quickly looked over hopefully, and he then saw it. It was coming from the Pan Gu God that sat in the lotus position inside of a supposedly shining light wheel.

The Pang Gu in the Dao Yi Realm…

Zhong Yue's heart skipped a beat. He had reverse-opened the five secret realms, and thus, Zhong Yue's Awakening path started with the Dao Yi Secret Realm. This was exactly a resemblance to the true ancient god, Pan Gu, who has cleaved opened the chaos and created the universe. Thus, there existed a miniature Pan Gu God in his Dai Yi Secret Realm. However, the specific purpose of this Pan Gu God's had hitherto always eluded him.

Reverse-opening the five secret realms allowed him to stand above his peers, endowing him with the potential of a young god expert.

But what exactly was the power of the Pan Gu God, or what exactly could it be used for; Zhong Yue never knew. He had tried everything, but it remained unresponsive throughout all his tests. It had been far too long since then that even Zhong Yue himself nearly forgot about the Pan Gu God's existence in his Dao Yi Secret Realm.

Now, everything else was closed off to his senses, but only this Pan Gu God continued to glimmer with a faint light. Zhong Yue couldn't help but to focus and concentrate on that light.

The Pan Gu God's fingers moved at an optimum speed. Not prohibitively fast yet still agile. Every change of its fingers carried a mysterious rhythm, seemingly touching upon the most profound principles of the universe within its movements.

Zhong Yue was astounded, the Pan Gu God's fingertips would leave lines in the air, and thin and fainting totem patterns were drawn in a beautiful arc across the air. The hand seal was abstruse that even Zhong Yue couldn't perceive too much of it. It was indeed a mysteriously strong skill!

It was the fingers that moved which caused the darkness to falter around the Pan Gu God.

Furthermore, Zhong Yue finally understood where the residual energy from Six Paths Reincarnation hid upon entering his body. The Pan Gu God had absorbed all of it.

  This is….

Zhong Yue couldn't hold back, and his fingers followed the Pan Gu God's fingers, making the same movements and changes one time after another.

The godly spirit saw that Zhong Yue and Qiu Jin'er had stopped running, and it seemed to lose interest in them, and so it hovered its head about them. It opened its mouth, and a barbed tongue rolled down, licking toward the preys on its palm.

The thorns and barbs were incredibly sharp, like the divine weapons themselves while Zhong Yue and Qiu Jin'er who were blockaded of their senses were oblivious to the imminent danger!

Zhong Yue's fingers were still moving, the movement patterns growing ever more abstruse as it began to resemble those of the Pan Gu God's. A loud billowing voice then slowly came within his body, it was the arcane energy and psyche which moved along with the changes of his fingers, surging and changing forms accordingly.

The totem patterns then also started to emerge at the tip of his fingers, weaving along with the movements of the fingers.

  Weng——

A buzzing sound could be heard, and a light wheel appeared behind him, it was the Dao Yi Wheel. Then, the Yin Yang Wheel appeared as well, followed by the Shen Cai Wheel, Wan Xiang Wheel, and Bloodline Wheel. Zhong Yue could feel his senses coming back to him, the voices could be heard and the surroundings he could see, moreover, his perception was even stronger than before!

He could feel his six secret realms consolidating into a whole cycle. The six secret realms had connected to another and formed a complete circulation system!

For a moment there, he suddenly recalled of the Six Paths Giant he saw when he had opened the sixth secret realm.

His status right now was almost the same as the Six Paths Giant in the Six Paths Reincarnation!

  Hu——

Zhong Yue heard the noises of an incoming object thrusting through the air, he quickly looked up and saw a huge tongue licking toward him and Qiu Jin'er. His heart skipped a beat. It was too late to even react to it now!

Before the tongue reached them, the secret realms' lights around Zhong Yue shone on it. Instantly, when the lights shone on the tongue, it started melting away like snow in the sun.

Meanwhile, the huge hand beneath Zhong Yue and Qiu Jin'er also melted away, and the six lights created a hole in it.

Zhong Yue and Qiu Jin'er then fell into the hole, plummeting down at a fast rate.

The godly spirit was whimpering in pain, and its voice trembled the sky as it suffered great damages.

  “Pan Gu Six Paths…”

The dangling eyeball saw at the six revolving light wheels behind Zhong Yue and its face contorted in terror
. The natural fear imbued in the godly spirit engulfed it wholly, and it dispersed into a plume of dark smoke which then disappeared in the ruins of the celestial temple.

"Reincarnation…" A voice that quivered in terror then came from beneath the celestial temple.

Zhong Yue and Qiu Jin'er were still plummeting down, they shot down like meteors and quaked the ground as they crashed into the soil. Moments later, the two of them crawled out of the huge holes created as they crashed into the mud. They both heaved a breath and were grateful that they had survived.

After a long time, Zhong Yue and Qiu Jin'er stood up. Zhong Yue carefully replicated the hand seals he had unconsciously made in the darkness. But what shocked him was that looking back at it now, the hand seal looked incredibly ordinary, and despite them being abstruse and mysterious, they were, in fact, not as strong as some other skills.

Yet, these were what had melted a hole the godly spirit's palm, and even scared it into fleeing like a bird.

This was something perhaps not even the gods with divine weapons could have done, right?

Why is the godly spirit so afraid of this hand seal?

Zhong Yue then cast it again and launched it at the floor. Instantly, a mark of the Six Paths Reincarnation and the Pan Gu God in the middle was branded into the ground. However, he was only able to leave a superficial mark that didn't manage to penetrate much into the ground, suggesting that the skill was not really that strong.

Since that godly spirit shouted ‘Pan Gu Six Paths,' then this will be what it shall be named as 【Pan Gu Six Paths】. Although my attainments in it now are still shallow, there is vast room for improvement if I practice it diligently. But… I have a feeling that this hand seal is not just a simple attacking skill … If only Xin Huo were still awake, he might just be able to see something.

Zhong Yue stood up and looked to the far end of the horizon. The Returning Ruins were vast and wide, most of the places were deserted of activities, and there were only a little few celestial temples scarcely scattered across the place in the haze.
