Immediately, Zhong Yue’s face stiffened up, and his legs wobbled, and he nearly fell from the mountain top.

On the other side, Jun Sixie heard it as well, and she looked at him curiously.

Then, to add on the shames on him, the blurred Xin Huo leaped out and shouted, “Mister Zhong, did you lose control over your body again? What a brat! The last time was a useless White Tiger, now a keep of demon ladies! It should’ve been good, very good in fact, but why did you do it with your incarnation? The bloodline power in your incarnation is so faint that he won’t even produce any good offspring! I let you off with the White Tiger incident, but now you go ahead and do this again? You… you… Can you actually do something that is useful?”

Zhong Yue’s face blushed red, and he murmured, “I didn’t do anything, it’s nothing much… Tian Mo Concubine is talking nonsense!”

“An exuberant young man surrounded with beautiful demon ladies, you dare to tell me you didn’t do anything? Not even once?” the little flame turned dark, and doubted.

Then, Zhong Yue saw Jun Sixie walking over from the corner of his eyes, he rapidly tucked the chattering little flame back into his psyche ocean. He calmed himself and said, “Senior martial sister, I’ll be hosting a world shattering incident, and I will leave the Ancestral Star after that. I need you to summon all the Qi Practitioners back into Swords Gate, and lock down the whole mountain. Swords Gate will remain full alertness until I return safely.”

Jun Sixie was initially here to ask about Tian Mo Concubine, but his words caught her surprise, and she exclaimed in shock, “What are you planning to do? Is it even more serious than provoking the gods?”

“Far more serious.” Zhong Yue said solemnly, “But only a few of the gods and godly spirits could see through my plans. As for the other experts, they are too trivial to even matter at all. Senior martial sister, I just need you to stay on guard and protect Swords Gate, that’s all you and the others are required to do.”

Jun Sixie’s heart palpitated heavily and her throat dehydrated. Never once Zhong Yue had spoken so firmly, he must truly be up to something big!

“Junior martial brother, tell me, what are you going to do?” She calmed herself and asked.

“Sealing the bloodline power of every race.” Zhong Yue answered placidly.

“Sealing the bloodline…?” Jun Sixie startled, she mumbled to herself and seconds later, her body shivered in shock. The more she thought about it, the greater the waves in her heart grew.

Zhong Yue continued in the same placid voice, “I can never leave in peace if our enemies are not taken care of. Even with the help of cultivation, the humans are still weak too compete with the other races, especially once cultivation ends in the future. Senior martial sister, Junior Martial Sister Jin’er has returned, it’s for me to go now!”

As he finished talking, the teleportation portal in the Golden Summit shone brightly, and Qiu Jin’er emerged out from the blinding lights. She saw the two of them and jogged over happily, “Senior martial brother!”

Her cultivation progress was indeed increidlbe, she was even a step faster than Zhong Yue in reaching the Imminent Deity level, suggesting that her time on the Celestial Wood Star wasn’t just boring and repetitive cultivation.

Surely enough, Qiu Jin’er was welcomed by the godly palace of an Innate Wood Spirit Body god in the moon of the Celestial Wood Star. There, she had learned and gained many insights left behind by the Innate Wood Spirit Body god.

Not only that, but this Wood Innate Spirit Body god was also one of the three hidden gods that were listed in the Legendary Board!

With the help of the insights left behind by this unnamed god, Qiu Jin’er’s cultivation progress was incredibly fast, and her foundation was also sturdier than ever!

Zhong Yue heaved a breath, saying, “You have returned just in time, I am planning to do a ritual before I leave, and I don’t know when I will return.”

Qiu Jin’er was stunned by the sudden news. Then, she suddenly held his hands, and smiled brightly back at him, “Senior martial brother, I will be there with you wherever you go.”

Zhong Yue was startled as well, feeling the warmth from her little hands touch his soul and.

Jun Sixie’s heart throbbed bitterly at the scene, she suddenly realized what she was lacking compared to Qiu Jin’er, When Junior Martial Brother Zhong told me he is leaving, I didn’t ask to go with him, but when will he return. Perhaps, this is what I am lacking than Junior Martial Sister Qiu Jin’er, I can’t follow him at the cost of everything…

Then, Zhong Yue brought Gongsun Xuanyuan along, and they left for the Xian Kong Saint City, a ritual that would bring thousands of years of peace to the human race was about to happen!

  ……

East Barren, Xian Kong Saint City.

The saint city was now devoid of living beings as Shi Buyi had evacuated the monsters out of the city, even the lord’s manor had been relcoated. Now, the whole Black Mountain was engraved with the totem patterns of the Great Ritual of Sealing Abdication, essentially turning it into a giant altar.

Zhong Yue brought Xuan Yuan along and landed at the mountain foot. From there, they climbed the mountain by feet, stopping from time to time as Zhong Yue inspected on the totem patterns carved on the mountain body.

He walked around the mountain, checking the totem patterns inch by inch; he stopped the flow of the streams, walked on the mountain walls, and dove into the caves to check the totem patterns everywhere across the place.

Along the way, Zhong Yue had patiently explained the abstrusities within the totem patterns to the young Xuan Yuan. It took a full month for him to finish.

In the end, young Xuan Yuan was bombarded with all sorts of knowledge, both in width and depth.

Xuan Yuan was now fourteen years old. He had cultivated into the realms of Qi Practitioners, and his talents had finally started to bloom. But even so, the knowledge imparted to him was far beyond him his current realm; it was too difficult for him to understand them all now.

“Uncle Zhong, what use do these totem patterns have? Why are you telling me all this?” The young man asked.

“Totem patterns consolidate into the Great Ritual of Sealing Abdication, a grand ceremony of sacrificing offerings to the heaven and earth.” Zhong Yue replied with a warm smile, “When you have conquered the Ancestral Star, you will have to carry out the ritual again in this place. Not only that, but your successors, and the future human leaders will have to host the ritual every thousands of years, only then, the glorious light will always shine upon the human race.”

Puzzled, the young Xuan Yuan couldn’t understand anything.

All of a sudden, Zhong Yue turned solemn, he said sternly, “Swear that you will do it!”

The young Xuan Yuan quickly straightened his stature, and swore to it, vowing that the ritual would be passed down to the future generations.

From that moment onward, the leaders of the human race would continue to host the ritual during their appointments.

However, when it reached to the reign of the Emperor of Qin, the Divine Tree of Knowledge’s effect had already grown strong enough to stop the birth of future Qi Practitioners. Although the Emperor of Qin had awoken part of the Ancestral Dragon’s blood in his body, the lack of offerings for the ritual had imposed a great toll on his life, eventually leading him to pass away early at the age of fifty.

Hence, the need for the ritual had disappeared. After all, the other races have already devolved, and assimilated into different races of the human species.

Zhong Yue smiled, he nodded and brought young Xuan Yuan to the mountain summit.

There, Shi Buyi was already awaiting for him. The lion was puzzled when he saw them, but never asked why Zhong Yue brought someone else along.

Shi Buyi looked at Zhong Yue and hesitated for a few seconds before asking, “Master Zhong, can you tell me what will happen to the monster race after the ritual?”

  He was perturbed, but if
the ritual would seal the monster race along, then he would do anything to stop it!

Although Shi Buyi was selfish, he was still a monster, he couldn’t have allowed his own race to be annihilated in front of his eyes.

“Don’t worry, both the monsters and humans only have ordinary blood flowing in them, they won’t be sealed.”

Zhong Yue smiled, “It will be a fair competition, do you think the monster race can’t compete with the human race?”

Shi Buyi was relaxed, and laughed loudly, “The monsters will lose to the humans? What a joke! The human race has only one Zhong Yue in over thousands of years, but the monster race had innumerable talents in every generation! In the future, the human race will go extinct as the monsters devour each and everyone of them, do you not think so?”

Chapter 601: Cries of Heaven |

Shi Buyi’s heart suddenly throbbed with shock as he realized that he had been acting too egregiously and was afraid that Zhong Yue would renege on his words and seal the monster race as well. Shi Buyi quickly smiled and gave a dry laugh, “I’m just joking, don’t take it too seriously, it’s really just a joke! Speaking of which, we are leaving after the ritual, aren’t we? Has Master Zhong left a few seeds of yours behind?”

Zhong Yue was puzzled, he asked, “Why do you ask?”

Shi Buyi then laughed in reply, “To be frank, I’ve selected and impregnated a few lioness so that the Nine Headed Lion will not go extinct after I leave. Hehehe, I have nine heads, surely I have selected nine lioness. Did Master Zhong do the deed with a few human girls?”

Zhong Yue was between laughter and tear, he cleared his throat and asked, “You really plan to leave with me?”

Shi Buyi’s face changed drastically, he exclaimed, “Aren’t you going to threaten me to leave with you?”

Zhong Yue was puzzled, “Big lion, since when did I say I was going to do that?”

Various expressions flitted across Shi Buyi’s face, and he probed a few moments later, “So, you are planning to kill me before you leave? Although I am your mount, that doesn’t mean I won’t fight back for my life!”

“What makes you think so?” Zhong Yue asked curiously.

“Isn't it obvious that you will surely kill me if I don’t follow you away!? Among the humans, only you alone can suppress me; after you leave, who do you think in the human race can even stand before my aura?” Shi Buyi gave a cold hum, “That’s why you will either bring me along with you, or kill me to prevent future dangers! Don’t try to lie to me!”

However, Zhong Yue shook his head upon hearing it, “Shi Buyi, you are overthinking it. You’ve helped me many times, and I am not a man who mistreats those who have helped me before. If you are willing to leave with me, you are more than welcomed to follow; but if you want to stay, I will not stop you either. Warriors were not born in peace and harmony, they only rise from blood and metal. The humans are in need of a strong opponent like you to temper themselves; only in the face of adversity can humanity grow stronger.”

Shi Buyi was bewildered, he asked again in disbelief, “If I really don’t follow, you really won’t kill me?”

Zhong Yue shook his head in affirmation.

Shi Buyi instantly turned to leave, but stopped a second later. He turned back and said while smiling, “You are lying to me, aren’t you? You will surely kill me if I stay, am I right? You can’t kill me now exactly because I have lent you help many times; however, if I decide to stay, you will then have the right reason to kill me! Hmph, cheeky bastard, I will not fall for that!”

Zhong Yue sighed speechlessly. Shi Buyi was too cynical; he even doubted a genuine chance given to free himself from Zhong Yue’s control, even insisting to stay as a mount and follow Zhong Yue instead.

The more you think, the more opportunities will slip away from your fingers. Huh? Zhong Yue suddenly tilted his head and listened. Immediately, a bright smile spread across his face, and he took out the copper lamp, placing it on the center of the altar.

“The Great Ritual of Sealing Abdication may commence now! Lion, Xuan Yuan, guard the perimeter!”

His divine third eye opened, and three godly rays brimmed in his divine eyes. However, they were not shot out but continued brewing brighter.

One side was bright like the sun, the other smooth like the moon, and the third eye shaped like a golden willow leaf.

As time passed by, his aura grew stronger. Totem patterns emerged around him in various forms of legendary beasts—the dragons, phoenixes, White Tigers, Black Tortoises, Vermilion Birds and many others!

Six light wheels were revolving around him, with the Pan Gu God sitting in his Dao Yu Yuan Shen secret realm; there were also the faint figures of the ancient gods, worshipping at Zhong Yue in the center!

Then, all of the heteromorphisms were consolidated into two scrolls, which turned into two sabers right after. The sabers were pure white and pitch black in color each, representing Yin and Yang respectively. When the two sabers merged together, an enormously huge【Tai Chi Art】was formed.

The【Tai Chi Art】slowly descended down, covering the whole mountain; it fell onto the ground and radially extended three thousand miles out from the mountain!

Then, an inner core hovered up into the sky, it formed a dome above the【Tai Chi Art】and covered the whole mountain within.

The Nine Revolving Inner Core’s Force Field, Celestial Demon Tai Chi Force Field!

On the mountain summit, Shi Buyi and Gongsun Xuanyuan stood behind Zhong Yue. They glanced around and saw many altars emerging out of nowhere around the mountain. On the altars, there were many gods with each of them originating from a different race!

The visualized figures of the many gods just showed how amazing Zhong Yue’s cultivation technique was, nearly covering all the forms of the gods in it!

Other than that, they could also see the Yin Qi sinking to the bottom of the ground while the Yang Qi floating up into the sky. The Yin and Yang revolved continuously, forming the figure of a godly fish—the Yin Yang Fish.

The Yin Yang Fish was bigger than the Kun Peng, so huge it could easily bite a hole in the sky.

Then, a scorching sun rose within the Yin Qi but was gnawed away by a visualized Kun; while a bright moon fell from the Yang Qi and was eaten away by a second visualized Kun.

These two visualized huge fishes then swam around the Black Mountain. They had no physical bodies, seeming to take on an ethereal form between liquid and gas.

Meanwhile, the Nine Revolving Inner Core flew toward Zhong Yue with the Fuxi celestial being in it growing to over ten thousand feet tall, and it merged with his mortal body and Yuan Shen.

In that instant, Shi Buyi felt as though Zhong Yue was now part of the Black Mountain altar. He was now the altar, possessing the unearthly power of heaven and earth!

Behind him, the six Yuan Shen secret realms opened up together, and unleash their powers to their limits!

“Power of the Heaven and Earth!” Zhong Yue chanted softly, and the powers within him consolidated into one piece. A whirlpool of spiritual energy was formed right above him, pumping the purest energy from the heaven and earth into his body and into the altar!

Thunder rumbled and lightning flashed across the sky. Suddenly, the spiritual energy in the whirlpool grew so dense that it started blasting down onto the Black Mountain like a beam of light!

On the mountain body, the totem patterns engraved all across the rocks glimmered as though they were coming to life. The totem patterns started shifting with an inexplicably marvelous marvelous rhythm. At the same time, Zhong Yue’s arcane energy and psyche was forcibly enhanced under the effects of the overabundant spiritual energy.

  Krong—

Finally, the Great Ritual of Sealing Abdication was activated, the heaven and earth was worshipped in the ancient ritual with the Black Mountain acting as the altar.

One of the most obvious effects of the ritual was the exponential growth of everything around it — the Black Mountain rose, the tr
ees surrounded it become sturdier, and the waters flowed with an increased vigor.

Zhong Yue morphed into the Fuxi True Form ten thousand feet tall, his tail was coiling around the mountain summit, and he was looking down at the center of the altar from above while the Yin Fish and Yang Fish were swimming around him.

It was truly a stunning scene!

Zhong Yue’s current prowess was now beyond the monster god Shi Buyi. However, this was not his true strength, it was merely the power borrowed from the heaven and earth to proceed with the great ritual!

All of a sudden, Zhong Yue raised a finger at the copper lamp, and the lamp lid opened. A godly spirit dashed out of the copper lamp while shouting loudly, “Brat, you’ve suppressed us for far too long, it’s time to pay for what you’ve done!”

But, Zhong Yue didn’t even look at him. As soon as the godly spirit exited the copper lamp, he was instantly torn disintegrated into the purest form of energy, and absorbed by the Black Mountain altar!

Even his Yuan Shen was decomposed, robbing him of all his chances for resurrection!

“You dare let us out? Are you planning to die?” Another godly spirit dashed out only to suffer the same fate as the previous unfortunate godly spirit.

Shi Buyi was astounded until the fear began to settle in as his body started shuddering in terror!

The godly spirits flew out from the copper lamp, but none could last even a second before they were disintegrated into the purest forms of energy and offered to the ritual.

Each and every godly spirit was equivalent to an incredible amount of spiritual energy, that greatly boosted the power of the grand ritual.

The wind blew more forcefully in the sky, and blood rain started to fall.

Thunders was all that could be heard for hundreds of miles, and the blood rain baptized the entire Ancestral Star in red, even the icefields to the far north.

It was the cries of heaven.

The thunders were the sobs, and the blood rain were its tears.
