Years later, when the Realm Monarch stepped down due to age, he passed his seat to this god.

Thus, this god ascended as the new Realm Monarch, and his name was Wei Shen.

As someone who had lived for such a long time, of course Emerald Heaven Dharma King had heard of the legendary story of this Realm Monarch, which resulted her in being very unwilling to let Zhong Yue and the others know about their miserable fates. She surreptitiously glanced at the servant that followed her order into Hell to check the book and she figured, I’m sorry but I had to put you down. I must not let anyone other than me to know about this.

She had secretly sentenced this servant to death, but her face still had the same smile as if nothing had changed.

On the other side, Zhong Yue and his companions felt even more relaxed upon seeing the copy burnt into ashes; now, all that was left was awaiting for the return of the servant that went to investigate in Cold Spirit Star.

And if she no longer suspected them, then things would be even easier at the side of the Realm Monarch.

The monarch would definitely dwell into the origin and identities of Zhong Yue and his friends; he would only go into this when he suspected something but of course, if Emerald Heaven Dharma King said that there were no problems about them, then the monarch would definitely not waste his time on such petty matters.

“The major competition will be held at the Empty Prison Heavenly Planet of our Prison Realm in a month time.”

No longer paying anymore attention to Zhong Yue, Emerald Heaven Dharma King looked around and said gradually, “The Empty Prison Heavenly Planet is the sacred ground where the Realm Lord of Prison Realm lived. Upon reaching there, you will be met with the most outstanding young Qi Practitioners from different galaxies of the Prison Realm. At that time, whether or not we Left Fang Galaxy will be able to outperform everyone and represent the Prion Realm to duel with the other five realms will depend on everyone present here. Now, anymore questions?”

With a shook, Li Tianxing and the others expressed that they had no more questions.

Suddenly, Bai Canghai said hurriedly, “Can I not take part in this battle?”

Emerald Heaven Dharma King glanced at him and suddenly, she felt disgusted and she rejected, “No, talented individuals like you have to take part. My little friend, the Realm Lord gave us ten slots and if I only brought nine, I’d be shaming our Realm Lord. No matter how unwilling you are, you still have to participate!”

Quietly, Bai Canghai was deeply troubled; though his cultivation level had experienced quite a leap during this short period of time, he was still far weaker than the likes of Zhong Yue and the others; he would be killed easily if he took part in the battle.

And no matter how he looked at it, he felt that Emerald Heaven Dharma King was asking him to voluntarily die.

He thought, Brother Zhong could lead us and triumph over the battle in Left Fang Galaxy but he probably can’t lead us out of the major competition. I might lose my life there!

Emerald Heaven Dharma King continued saying with a smilingly, “Don’t worry, I took a look at your fate written in the book just now. It says that your fate is extremely good and you wouldn't die for sure.”

“If that book is so good, then your son wouldn't have been killed by Brother Zhong.” Bai Canghai murmured softly.

The face of Emerald Heaven Dharma King darkened immediately and it took quite an effort to restrain herself from killing this little brat but she thought, This brat has always been like that, if I kill him, people who think of me as petty and narrow-minded.

However, whatever Bai Canghai said was true; the book might be able to decide one’s fate, but there are also some incapabilities in the book. For example, an unexpected accident could easily affect the fate decided by the book.

Initially, Prince Shi Yun would not die an unexpected death according to the book but because of Zhong Yue’s arrival — something that was not recorded in the book — he was cut down by Zhong Yue in one strike.

And this was something the book did not include.

Apart from that, the saying of a disaster in one’s life was not very clear as well; if it was written that an unfortunate event would descend upon someone someday, there would be two possibilities in the end, that person might survive or they might die. There was no fixed outcome.

Thus, one should not be too worried after getting to know his fate written on the book because there would still be changes.

Suddenly, a demon god pointed at Zhong Yue and said coldly, “My king, if this human failed to fight into the top ten, can I kill him?”

With a smile, Emerald Heaven Dharma King asked, “Why so?”

“He killed my beloved student! With the protection of the Realm Lord, I can’t even harm a single strand of his hair.”

The demon god then continued, “But if he fails, then he will no longer be protected by the Realm Lord and by then, can I kill him to avenge my student?”

Another demon god stood up and said angrily, “My dearest son was killed by him, I must have my revenge!:

  “My wife!”

  “My grandchild!”

  “My daughter!”

One after another demon gods stood up, voiced out their anger and they looked at Zhong Yue in a way that as if they wanted to kill him on the spot.

Zhong Yue however, did not even flinch and he remained calm as he looked at everyone.

Emerald Heaven Dharma King looked around as well and with a smile, she said, “Excuse me for rejecting your requests.”

The many demon gods stuttered and before they made noise again, Emerald Heaven Dharma King sighed and said, “My son was also killed by him, how can I let you taste your revenge first before me? I guarantee everyone here that if he fails and is still alive, I will let everyone exact their vengeance after me.”

She said, “With my capabilities, I can revive him after he is dead. Hence, I promise that all of you will get satisfaction!”

The way she spoke was filled with hatred and anger, a testament to just how much she despised Zhong Yue.

To her dismay, Zhong Yue replied, “Don’t worry, my king. You won’t have the chance.”

Upon hearing this, Emerald Heaven Dharma King smirked and thought, You won’t be so confident if you saw your fate in the book!

Emerald Heaven Dharma King after all, did not know that Zhong Yue had singlehandedly altered the Book of Life and Death, and if she had knew about this, she definitely wouldn’t have the same confidence.

After a few more days, when the demon god servant headed to Cold Spirit Planet returned and confirmed the identity of Zhong Yue and the others, Emerald Heaven Dharma King announced the time of departure, and they all headed straight to Empty Prison Heavenly Planet.

They all traveled on a luxurious ship pulled by eight dragons; they sailed across space, passing various teleportation arrays as they get everso closer to Empty Prison Heavenly Planet.

After about twenty days, they could finally see Empty Prison Heavenly Planet from far away.

Zhong Yue stood at the deck of the ship, looked at the Empty Prison Heavenly Planet and realized that it was located at the centre of the Prison Realm Galaxy. Empty Prison Heavenly Planet was surrounded by massive black holes and at the outer rim of the black holes were bright divine rays that shone brighter than the sun. While the black holes devoured stars one after another in the galaxy, this star remained untouched, as if protected by some kind of power.

Although it was called Heavenly Planet, the Empty Prison Heavenly Planet did not look like one. Instead, it looked like a massive star that floated in the centre of the galaxy and it looked really ancient.

This huge star was much bigger than ordinary stars; it was so huge that even the sun had to circle around it, and there were more than just a sun and a moon that orbited around it.

But whatever went against the natural law could always be explained by the power of gods.

As time passed, they arrived at the Empty Pr
ison Heavenly Planet, and when it sailed into this star, Zhong Yue was shocked at what he saw. There were mountain gods protecting the mountains, river gods living in the rivers, and every other place had their respective gods living in them!

There were so many gods living here; the number was far beyond their expectation!

But it was actually pretty normal. This is the place where the ruler of the Prison Realm lived. The gods from other galaxies in the Prison Realm strived to be able to live here, and they viewed this as an honor, thus, making the high number of gods residing here quite understandable.

Other than that, Zhong Yue noticed that most of the gods here came from the celestial and demon race; most of the gods were from the demon races with very pure bloodlines, and with so many living creatures here, there would of course be a huge number of gods.

This Six Path World was the weakest among the three thousand Six Path Worlds and even so, they had such terrifying power.

Zhong Yue sighed at the fact that it was already extremely difficult for the Fuxi Celestial Race to rise again.

The ship then sailed into a place filled with marvelous and heavily guarded in Empty Prison Heavenly Planet and into a courtyard.

This courtyard was the place where the Realm Lord handled the affairs of his ruling.

Far away, there were also many ships that emitted crazily strong aura sailing towards the same courtyard.

On these ships stood the most talented Qi Practitioners from the different galaxies within the Prison Realm.

Jun Sixie who stood at the side of Zhong Yue stared at these ships and she couldn't help but to murmur, “Finally, I can compete with the strongest Qi Practitioners in the Prison Realm. I wonder what kind of talented Qi Practitioners I will run into.”

  “Don’t worry.”

Zhong Yue included all of these ships in his vision and he said calmly, “I will hack them all to death.”

Chapter 647: Ancient Land of the Gods Grave |

At the side of the ship, Bai Canghai couldn't sit still and began pacing. Just like most men, when he saw the alluring Concubine Han who was leaning against the rail, looking extremely lonely and vulnerable, he approached her and started talking to her.

Beside Concubine Han were two members from the Heavenly Horse Celestial Race, but they acted like that they did not see that little brat disturbing Concubine Han at all.

“They said there are no good people in Prison Realm but I believe you are not as bad as they say.” Bai Canghai said suddenly.

Concubine Han who did not talk at all seemed like she was deeply moved by Bai Canghai’s words. She suddenly turned around and looked into Bai Canghai’s eyes with her eyes that seemed to be able to look into one’s soul.

As soon as their eyes met, Bai Canghai felt incredibly moved. He even ventured to guess that her eyes were even stronger than Zhong Yue’s.

“Really?” The lady asked, her voice seemed to tremble, and this caused Bai Canghai’s heart to undergo turmoil.

  “Of course!” Bai Canghai shouted.

He then said loudly, “They said you are evil, said that you have committed crimes beyond redemption, and that you are the most sinister woman, which was why you were banished by the Realm Monarch! But I know that you have been framed! How could an innocent and pure lady like you win against those merciless and vicious women in the palace! Don’t worry, I will protect you with my life in this competition!”

Seemingly struck by his words, Concubine Han murmured softly, “Thank you….”

Touched and deeply affected by her, Bai Canghai wanted to say something more, but this was when Zhong Yue interrupted, “Brother Bai, we have arrived, we need to get down now.”

Unwilling to leave her, Bai Canghai turned around and looked longingly back at the lady as he walked away.

“How did you start talking with Concubine Han?” asked Zhong Yue softly as he frowned.

“She’s not a bad person, she’s innocent!” replied Bai Canghai.

“I felt that she is someone very unique and this might be love at first sight….”

  “Love at first sight?”

Zhong Yue had a weird expression and said, “She’s the concubine of the Realm Monarch, I’d advise you not to have anything to do with her. You’d be dead for sure if you entangle yourself with her.”

Upon hearing Zhong Yue’s cold words, Bai Canghai laughed sarcastically and argued back, “I never thought you were someone so stupid, Brother Zhong. Our love is true! Whatever race or position we have does not matter when it comes to true love!”

Zhong Yue was left speechless and he said, “It’s not that easy, and you’ve failed to see the demon inside Concubine Han. She is not as good as you think. Did you know why she was banished? You actually deemed her innocent after having only such a short conversation?”

The persistent Bai Canghai continued to fight for Concubine Han’s honor and he said, “The Realm Monarch has so many wives and how could someone like her manage to beat the other old hags? She was definitely framed by them!”

Zhong Yue burst out laughing and he said, “Who do you think the Realm Monarch is? He is the one that rules the entire Six Path World and the strongest existence in this world. What kind of woman can actually cause so much harm just to benefit herself under the eyes of Realm Monarch? I once heard from a few gods talking about the sin committed by Concubine Han and did you know what she did? She killed the son of Realm Monarch with poison and so, she was banished into Prison Realm.”

He then added, “They said that that murdered son was the unborn son of Concubine Luo and the Realm Monarch. As one of Concubine Han’s major rivals, the child was murdered before he could even open his eyes to see the world. After the matter was found out, the Realm Monarch didn’t kill her because he appreciated the time he spent with her, thus, he only banished her. As such, she is not as simple as you thought.”

Dumbfounded by the news, Bai Canghai was stunned for a moment and at the same time, Concubine Han’s voice was heard speaking gently, “Human, why did you spoil my plans? I just wanted to play with him, are you not afraid of my power?”

Immediately, Bai Canghai shivered and Zhong Yue replied, “I have never killed a concubine of a Realm Monarch… If you infuriate me, I really wouldn't mind to kill you.”

Concubine Han looked at Zhong Yue for a while and smiled, but she thought with a heavy heart, This is an ruthless man!

  Dong—-

The ship touched the ground, causing a slight tremble on the ground. After it stopped completely, Emerald Heaven Dharma KIng said, “Ladies and gentlemen, please follow me to see the Realm Lord of the Prison Realm.”

Everyone then got down the ship and they noticed that the place where the ship landed was an area made up of entirely spiritual energy condensed into liquid. It was located at the center of the courtyard and looked just like a lake in the courtyard. There were countless ships that landed here while countless participants were alighting to the ground.

Floating on the water were gigantic jade-colored dragons; they exposed their back out of the water, forming white jade bridges that allowed everyone to cross the water before sinking back into the water again.

  Stunning, thought Zhong Yue.

And Xin Huo had been keeping quiet all the while as he fused with the sunfire in Zhong Yue’s body. There were countless strong Qi Practitioners in this place and if Xin Huo did not hide himself, these Qi Practitioners might be able to notice that there is a strange flame hiding inside Zhong Yue’s body.

When he got to the Prison Realm, Xin Huo was very curious of everything; back in his days, there were no Six Path Worlds, no Six Path Reincarnation and not even Hell, not to mention the Book of Life and Death.

During his slumber, the world had changed so drastically that this little flame almost couldn't recognize anything anymore. Thus, he had been absorbing these sudden changes and recently, he rarely show himself to guide Zhong Yue nor did he keep trying to convince Zhong Yue to impregnate ladies. Zh
ong Yue even began to miss the days where Xin Huo was still being obnoxious.

There were so many participants and when Zhong Yue looked around, he realized that each and everyone of them looked very powerful; none of them were any weaker than the Reverse Emperor and the other prodigies of the Left Fang Galaxy!

In the Left Fang Galaxy, the Reverse Emperor, Li Tianxing, Bi and An and the others... they were all strong individuals that were on par with Zhong Yue!

But now, there were so many of them right here!

Just thinking off this was already horrifying!

And this is only the weakest among the other Six Path Worlds and the weakest realm of the weakest Six Path World!

What was even more scary was that in the other 2998 Six Path Worlds, there are six realms in each of them, and there are bound to be even more strong Qi Practitioners like them!

The competition there would be even fiercer!

Compared to them, the Ancestral Star and Kun Lun were basically some rural village!

By now, Zhong Yue could feel the weight on his shoulders get increasingly heavy, and the stress of Jun Sixie, Qiu Jin’er and the others were even stronger. Their strength was still not on the same level as Zhong Yue’s and in this battle, they risked death!

Whereas for Bai Canghai, he had already given up completely and no longer paid attention to how things are progressing now.

As various thoughts ran wildly through Zhong Yue’s mind, everyone gradually entered the courtyard.

On top of the courtyard was a huge platform floating in the air, and on top of this platform were countless altars. These altars illuminated brightly and ]acted as the seats for the gods.

Right under the platform was a huge plaza and the countless Qi Practitioners gathered at the plaza.

Suddenly, the dharma king of the different galaxies ascended into the sky and landed on their respective seats and as they sat, they created unique supernatural phenomena.

  “The Realm Lord has arrived!”

Golden armored giants beat the drums as an officer shouted while a burly man showed up being surrounded by many officers. He sat on the throne at the centre of the platform.
