  They then waited patiently and after quite some time, King Geng frowned and he was slightly puzzled.

  It was very strange that after waiting for so long, not even one of the Eighteen Emperors of Heavenly Cloud arrived.

  He was very confident that they were loyal to the previous Realm Monarch and him and that they would never turn their back on him, but his confidence shook inevitably when none of them showed up.

  Jun Wudao, Yu Bochuan and the others exchanged glances and they remained silent; perhaps, the Eighteen Emperors of Heavenly Cloud were afraid of the current Realm Monarch’s power or they had betrayed King Geng already.

  After waiting for quite some time again, a gloomy expression climbed up on King Geng’s face and he said mockingly, “I thought that I would receive the same treatment if I treated them sincerely and maintained my loyalty to them. Seems like I’ve thought too highly of myself. It’s fine, the Realm Monarch possesses such great power and I won’t blame them if they merely seek a brighter future for themselves….”

  Suddenly, a burly voice sounded out angrily, “Surrender to the current Realm Monarch? Is he worthy of our loyalty? King Geng, you have underestimated us!”

  “We are the men of the previous Realm Monarch, the wings of King Geng and a loyal subordinate will never have a second lord!”

  King Geng was surprised and happy at the same time and he immediately got up as he welcomed the newcomers, “Eighteen Emperors of Heavenly Cloud! I’ve returned!”

  Zhong Yue and the others immediately got up and they looked towards the entrance of the Inn of Heavenly Treasures, and they saw seventeen strange looking gods walking into the inn.

  The one leading them was a god blind in one eye and another eye of his appeared to have contracted with some kind of decease and it kept on tearing.

  Behind him was another celestial emperor who had his arms placed on the shoulder of the leader and another one of them placed his hands on the shoulder of this celestial emperor and the Eighteen Emperors of Heavenly Cloud walked in one by one in the same manner.

  Upon seeing this, King Geng trembled in anger and his eyes turned red.

  Under the lead of the god with one blind eye, the seventeen of them got up the stairs carefully and stopped at where King Geng, Zhong Yue, and the others were seated.

  The leader continued to the other side of his eyes tearing non-stop and through his remaining half blinded eye, he looked at King Geng and the others who appeared extremely blurry in his eyes and he shouted, “King Geng! Which of you is King Geng! My eyesight is as good as it used to be and after King Geng is reborn, this old man could no longer recognize you, King Geng.”

  King Geng held his tears in and restrained himself from crying, and he got up saying, “I am over here. “Brothers, your eyes….”

  The one-eyed god laughed happily and the other gods behind him raised their head as happy smiles blossomed on their face and in sync, they all said, “Good! Good! It’s nice to have you back, King Geng!”

  And it was at this time that Zhong Yue and the others saw the face of the seventeen other Emperors of Heavenly Cloud. Goosebumps rose on their skins as they noticed that none of them had eyeballs in their eye sockets. Rather, their eye sockets were occupied by white stones instead!

  The stone eyeballs were embedded tightly into their eye sockets, and within these stone eyeballs was a great power that prevented them from regenerating, permanently keeping them in a blinded state unless the seals were lifted.

  Other than that, the power hidden in these stone eyeballs had also blinded their Yuan Shen and they could no longer see anything!

  However, the one-eyed god still had one eye that could vaguely see things around him but it just kept on crying to a point that it seemed like its tear ducts would dry up!

  “Brothers, what happened to your eyes!”

  King Geng was consumed by hatred and without giving it a thought, he shouted, “I gave you an order to behave and stay low until my return! Why did you act recklessly? Even I am not Helian Yunshan’s opponent, not to mention you guys.”

  Suddenly, from the opposite table came the voice of Prince Yun He sneering, “Blind even with eyes.”

  And what he said was true.

  With their eyes dug out and replaced by stone eyes, they had all became blind.

  The seventeen celestial and demon emperors kept quiet for a moment and the one-eyed god said, “After King Geng’s defeat and exhile, we listened to your orders and we laid low. One day, a lady called Queen Shi Ji came forth and gave us two choices; surrender or become blind men.”

  Then, the seventeen of them widened their eyes and said happily, “And we chose the second option.”

  Right away, tears filled King Geng eyes. After a long pause, King Geng said with a heavy heart, “Hahaha…. Quen Shi Ji… Queen Shi Ji…. It’s good as long you are all alive. Where is Heavenly King Lu? Why is he not here? Did he surrender?”

  The seventeen Eighteen Emperors of Heavenly Cloud kept quiet and the one-eyed god said softly, “Brother Lu is here as well….”

  “Where is he?” asked King Geng angrily.

  Suddenly, there came an old and tired voice from the light wheel of one of the gods, “This old man is here! King Geng, rest assured. I who has grown under you and your brother’s wing, an outsider you’ve treated like a brother. How is that possible that I turn my back on you?”

  An old man then flew out from the light wheel and like the other seventeen Eighteen Emperors of Heavenly Cloud, his eyes were also replaced by stone eyes. But what was even more terrifying was that his arms and legs were all severed!

  At the severed joints, there were also rocks that prevented him from healing!

  Heavenly King Lu, however, did not seem to pay any mind to his awful condition as he said, “Queen Shi Ji said that this old man’s strength is too strong and that my strength is close the a Creator. She feared that by sealing my eyes, I would still be too much of a threat. So she had my arms and legs severed as well. She said that if I change my mind, she will lift her curse, but do you think that is possible? Please forgive me, King Geng. With my legs severed, I could not move freely anymore so all I could do is hide inside the Brother Qian Shan’s secret realms.”

  Heavenly King Lu lowered his head and he could be seen trembling in joy at the reunion with his one and only lord.

  On the other hand, King Geng failed to keep his emotions in; he knelt on the ground, bowed at the Eighteen Emperors of Heavenly Cloud and he cried, “Brothers! I’ve failed all of you! I shouldn’t have asked you to wait for me! This is all my fault!”

  The Eighteen Emperors of Heavenly Cloud immediately knelt down as well and they all cried as well, “Please stop, King Geng! You and your brother have treated us like family, and if we really surrendered, then we would have truly become blind! We may have given up our eyes but our consciousness remains clear! Please get up, King Geng!”

  Chapter 701: When The Hand Was Raised, The Head Fell |

  The Eighteen Emperors of the Heavenly Cloud and King Geng knelt on the ground while King Geng continued bowing at toward the former; when King Geng swore the oath with Zhong Yue, he once said that Qi Practitioners should never kneel at Realm Monarch, heaven and earth and they should only pay their respect to heaven and earth.

  But now, he was kneeling and bowing non-stop as he cried at the unfortunate fate of his men.

  With their vision gone, the Eighteen Emperors of the Heavenly Cloud fumbled forward and forcefully dragged King Geng up as they all cried together.

  “Loyal men,” murmured Zhong Yue.

  He silently lamented the disastrous fate that had befallen the eighteen men; they had tirelessly followed their lord’s order, patiently waiting for his return and refusing to surrender even after having their eyes gouged out and legs and arms amputated.

  “Wow, so lively! Crying here and there and kneeling everywhere, it’s just as lively as a funeral.”

  At the opposite, Prince Yun He sneered , “Wi
th things in the state they are in, King Geng will no longer be able to maintain his full power. Who knows how much of his power he can use now. Perhaps, he is coming close to his end already.”

  He looked at the Heaven Realm Qi Practitioners beside him and he said, “They said King Geng is a proud man who only knelt toward the heaven and earth, not at the Heavenly Monarch and Realm Monarch. But now, he is kneeling before these blind and handicapped dogs. If we challenge him now, he will definitely accept our challenge in his grief. Killing King Geng will make us famous, maybe my father will start paying attention to me as well.”

  As soon as he said this, the other nine Qi Practitioners’ eyes lit up.

  And things were exactly just like what Prince Yun He said. Right now, King Geng was consumed with anger and sorrow, something that would greatly affect his strength; anger would cause him to lose his cool, and his grief would leave him irrational. Thus, the battle would be half won if they chose to fight him while he was in this state.

  And Prince Yun He, whose eyes could see throug everything, dared to say, then it must be true that King Geng’s end was near.

  He had obviously prepared himself for this moment and had come here with his men and sat opposite of King Geng in order to see King Geng’s death.

  Unlike the Prison Realm’s Qi Practitioners that knew no limits and no boundaries and had no respect for the Realm Monarch who banished them and their child into the Prison Realm, the Qi Practitioners from the Heaven Realm had always wanted to get into the Heaven Court; they wanted to build a noble reputation, start a huge family with great power and make their ancestors and their family proud.

  Thus, Prince Yun He’s proposal had greatly affected them.

  One of them immediately stood up and shouted, “King Geng, I am Yuan Congxi from the Yuan Shen Family. I’ve heard that you are very strong and I wish to challenge you!

  Another one stood up and said, “They said that King Geng once put up a tough fight with Realm Monarch and now, please allow me, Gu Xuanji from the Gu Family, to seek some teaching from King Geng!”

  A lady laughed happily and she taunted, “King Geng, are you afraid of accepting a challenge from Qian Rou?”

  The Qi Practitioners around Prince Yun He all stood up and challenged King Geng while Prince Yun He smiled and continued enjoying his wine.

  Zhong Yue frowned upon this scene and got out to stand in front of King Geng. At the same time, Li Tianxing, Yu Bochuan, Jun Wudao and the others also stood up to do the same.

  Similar to those from Heaven Realm, Zhong Yue and the others could also tell that King Geng was not in the greatest state of mind right now.   The challengers were all Qi Practitioners that have reverse opened all six wheels, innate spirit bodies, cultivated perfect Six Paths Reincarnation techniques and with their overpowered bloodline, they would prove themselves foes equivalent to King Geng.

  Besides, with his current condition, King Geng would not be able to put up a fight.

  King Geng was a proud man but knew what he was doing, and this was what all the Prison Realm’s Qi Practitioners liked, which was also why they would still stand up for King Geng.

  King Geng, however, stopped them and said with a very sore voice, “Ladies and gentlemen, I thank you for your kindness and I appreciate that. I am previously the ruler of Heaven Realm and if I do not accept their challenges, my fame will be tainted! Let me deal with them!”

  Jun Wudao frowned and she quickly said, “You are not in a very good condition to fight. Why try so hard to kill yourself?”

  Eighteen Emperors of Heavenly Cloud frowned as well and Heavenly King Lu whispered, “King Geng, no point getting so angry over some puny injuries on us. You must stay calm….”

  “If I don’t accept their challenge and have them slaughtered, the anger and sorrow in me will not be abated and they will become a mental obstacle that will restrict my growth. Stand aside, I’ve made up my mind.”

  With a very depressed and gloomy look, King Geng said, “Brother Zhong, please take care of these eighteen brothers of mine. If you become strong enough in the future, please help me to lift their seals.”

  Zhong Yue frowned and an uneasy feeling crept up in his heart as he felt that King Geng was handing over the fate of Eighteen Emperors of Heavenly Cloud to him so that he could fight without any worries anymore!

  “Isn’t better if you do it yourself?” Zhong Yue said as he still tried to convince King Geng.

  King Geng burst out laughing and said proudly, “I can, but if I kill Prince Yun He, the Realm Monarch will probably want my head so I cannot let you guys to it. Brother Zhong Yue, were you telling the truth when you told me that your previous life’s age was fifty-four thousand years old?”

  Zhong Yue nodded and replied, “I was lying but I was also telling the truth when I said that I am older than you in this life.”

  “I knew it. but let the past be the past. In this life, you are older than me and since we have sworn the oath, I shall call you my elder brother,” conceded King Geng. “Did you know why I refused to call you my elder brother? My blood-related elder brother was the Realm Monarch and because of my respect for him, I was unwilling to call you my elder brother. Now, I am willing to call you my elder brother ever since you promised me that you will take care of the Eighteen Emperors of Heavenly Cloud!”

  King Geng bowed at Zhong Yue and when he got up, the gloomy expression on as he looked at the many challengers with excitement, “Idiotic fools! When I fought with the Realm Monarch Yun Shan, you were all still drinking milk! I accept all of your challenges. Now come at me all at once!”

  “Good!” The many challengers shouted and they all stepped forward immediately!

  The interior of Inn of Heavenly Treasures was incredibly big; inside the Inn of Heavenly Treasures was a pillar and around it were round shaped buildings. The pillar had stairs that one could climb and flying bridges that were connecting the pillar to each floor of the Inn of Heavenly Treasures.

  When standing on the top and looking down, the pillar appeared to be a gigantic circle.

  And it was because of this pillar that the guests could move around the Inn of Heavenly Treasures easily.

  However, it would still be way too small should a fight occurred here, especially so for the likes of King Geng and the others as a single skill launched by them would easily destroy a huge area of land and tear the skies apart.

  However, Inn of Heavenly Treasures was entirely made from countless divine weapons; if a fight occurred, the interior of Inn of Heavenly Treasures would expand quickly in order to prevent the fight from disturbing the other guests.

  Thus, as soon as the nine Qi Practitioners flew out, the platform on the pillar expanded and turned into a huge arena in an instant.

  At the same time, King Geng moved forward and stars gathered around him. The stars then turned into a raging cosmic river where King Geng stood on the cosmic river as he charged at the nine Qi Practitioners of Heaven Realm.

  These challengers were indeed amazing Qi Practitioners; as they unleashed their full power, light wheels appeared behind their head, where their Yuan Shen turned into horrifying beings such as thousand hand celestials, dragons, and gods with serpents and towers charging out of their hands.

  And from the light wheels behind their head came the sound of prayers, which suggested that these nine Qi Practitioners had cultivated the perfect Six Path Reincarnation Techniques and achieved the Six Path Reincarnation within their body!

  Apart from that, the Dao totem patterns danced around the arena and appeared in different forms; some appeared to be trees, rivers, volcanoes and even moons and these were the Dao totem patterns that they cultivated!

  Their power spread across the entire arena as they unleashed the power of their bloo
dline and were shrouded in the divine rays of the Six Path Reincarnation.

  The expression of Li Tianxing and the others changed tremendously and even Yu Bochuan was shocked at the power displayed by Yuan Congxi and the others; these guys were one of the strongest enemies they had ever come across, and they had to admit that the Qi Practitioners from the other realms were indeed stronger than those in the Prison Realm!

  Li Xianxing was an extraordinary genius in the Prison Realm who had achieved all the state of extremity. He had also had his Six Paths Reincarnation activated and as an innate spirit body, his strength was among the strongest in the Prison Realm, allowing him to compete with the likes of Zhong Yue and the others. His only drawback was the fact that his bloodline was not that strong.

  Yuan Congxi, Gu Xuanji, Qian Rou, and the others on the other hand, possessed the best of the best bloodline even within the Heaven Realm. One could imagine King Geng’s ending provoking the nine of them to attack him at once!

  Finally, King Geng and the nine of them clashed, but at that moment, along with a shout from King Geng, his presence surged and thunderous noises echoed out from the inside of his body!

  “Nice!” Zhong Yue and Yu Bochuan shouted upon seeing this.

  In truth, King Geng had entered the Imminent Deity level from the True Spirit level at an instant; he had been suppressing his strength all the while and now, he unleashed the suppressed power and caught his challengers off guard.

  In a split second, endless apparitions of gods rampaged around the arena, each standing on gigantic planets as divine rays lit up the heaven and earth!

  Suddenly, the divine rays disappeared and King Geng charged straight at Prince Yun He after leaving nine corpses on the ground.

  When the divine rays erupted, King Geng had cut down his nine challengers and flew straight towards Prince Yun He with unrelenting momentum!

  King Geng was once one of those in the strongest tier in the Six Paths World, thus, even his level was still very low after being reborn, his experience and knowledge from the past life was still there and now, he immediately reached the peak state in the Imminent Deity level as soon as he advanced into this level!
