“Because he had more of the traits pertaining to being a psychopath. She seemed normal.”

“I don't know.” I paused. “Could you do me a favor and see what you can pull on the kids?”

  “Yeah, send me the picture.”

“Awesome,” I smiled. “I'll let you sleep. Call me when you get up.”

“Yeah, I will. And are you being safe?”

“Yes, damn dude.” I laughed. “I will talk to you later on.” I ended the phone call and stared at the pictures. There had to be something more. Why would Luna keep the pictures of children that were not hers?

  Lucas

The Summit had a rather large crowd for the night. There were tons that I needed to do. Mark was a madman when it came to numbers for profit and I had not yet even prepared the reports for him. His money was his obsession which was fine by me. I liked making money and the place basically ran itself with the good manager.

“Have you printed out the reports for me Kasey?”

“Not yet, there are some people crowding the bar. I was gonna help her for the moment and then bring them to you.”

“Just let her be.” I paused. “Bring me the papers and then could you make sure that there is another bartender on schedule for tonight. If there isn't then you should go ahead and get in getting someone else in for the night.” I looked over my desk. “Bring me a Jack and Coke with the report.”

She turned on her heel, “Anything else?”

“Yeah,” I winked. “Smile for God's Sake… you could be flipping burgers.”

“Yeah.” She grimaced as she left the cold office.

I had to learn some control. I took out my pencil and a scratch piece of paper. Controlling my urge was harder than I wanted to admit. If I could learn control, then there was a possibility that I could live a more than normal life. The light tap on the door was barely audible with the music booming on the other side.

  “Come in.” I yelled.

The door opened and closed in seconds, sending another cold breeze towards me. “Busy?”

I looked up at Persephone. She was beautiful. Much like her namesake, her curls flourished as they ran down her back. I'd been so enticed with Cypress I forgot what she looked like. “Very, I hope whatever you want is important.”

  “It's very important.”

I unglued my eyes from her and shrugged my shoulders. “Well then… speak woman.”

She dropped her jacket and she stood before me bare. Her perfectly round breast sat up at attention, causing me to watch the curve of her hips right down to her pussy. I found myself captured. I placed my pencil down on the table and cut my eyes up to hers. “Damn...”

  “I know you have Cypress...”

  I nodded my head. “Yeah.”

“But I can show you… that there is better out there.” She swayed her hips to the beat of music from the other room. “Can I show you...”

“Put your jacket on.” My tone was low.

  “Lucas...”

  “Now.” I snapped.

“Okay...” She slid her dress on and turned towards the door.

“Let's dance.” I mumbled. I moved to the door and led her out to the dance floor. The dim lights made it perfect for what I had in mind… The music was alluring… slow. I grabbed her by the hips and ground lightly against her. My hands clasped over her body and I could feel her thrusting herself on me. “What do you want from me?” I whispered.

  “A chance,” she said back.

  “At what?”

  “You...”

I slid my hand into the jacket and my fingers danced around the folds of her pussy. She was drenched. “I can give you that.” I heard a moan escape her mouth as I pushed my middle finger deeper into her. She stood on her tip toes and my other a room wrapped her in security as I was working to drive her to the point of insanity. Her thighs clenched at each thrust and then I withdrew and placed my finger in her mouth. “Taste yourself...” Her tongue grazed my finger. “Good girl… Upstairs…?”

  “Yes,” she answered.

“Good.” I grabbed her soft hands, leading her to the elevator. I pressed my pin in and watched the elevators open. “Are you sure?” I said. The doors closed and the elevator lifted from the shaft.

  “Yes.” She smiled.

I tossed her back against the elevator wall and hit the stop button. “When we get up here… lose the jacket and wait for me upstairs…”

“Okay.” Persephone nodded her head. The excitement bled out of her eyes.

When arrived she had done as directed. Persephone walked upstairs and stripped back down to nothing. I followed her up and stared at her. “I want to do so much to you. I don't know where to start.” I whispered.

“Start here...” she pushed her finger into herself and licked her lips slowly.

“That could be a good place... Don't speak again.” I growled. She pretended to zip her mouth shut and tossed the key aside. My eyes wonder her body. “Good.” I toss my shirt to the ground and climb in bed with her. My hands touch her stomach lightly. “You are soft.” I touch her neck softly. And my eyes see the picture of Cypress and I. She turns it face down before I can think. “Let's start… Undress me.”

Persephone's hands traveled up my body unzipping my pants and pulling the down. My boxers followed right after. Her eyes grew wide when I finally set free.

  “Wow,” she whispered.

  “Hush, suck it.”

She obeyed. She struggled to get all of me in her mouth, but when she did, she took me to the back of her throat. She swirled her tongue around me slowly and my eyes rolled to the back of my head. Her mouth was like wet silk. A slight moan escaped my mouth and my hands went to the back of her head, guiding her to take more of me. She was relentless as her head bobbed up and down as I could feel it coming so I pulled her up. “Damn...” She smiled.

“Lay down on your stomach and stick your ass in the air.”

Persephone leaned towards to kiss me and pulled her back to my chest, pinching her nipples, making her scream out in a mixture of pain and ecstasy. “Listen to me woman.” I slapped her ass as I pushed her gently to the bed, then scooped up her ass. My fingers pushed into her pussy and I reached over to the dresser. My hand grazed my knife and I grabbed the condoms, sliding one in a few seconds and I entered her slowly. I ground into her hard. I drilled into her fast barely having time to recover from how tight she was. My hands gripped her ass harder with each entry and she started to moan my name louder and louder until the moans turned into shrill screams. It was wild my hair had fell in my face blocking her from my view and all I could feel was her pussy grasping my dick with each pump.

I slowed down and slapped her ass once more just to watch her blood rush to the spot right after. My dick began to spasm as she came around me and she collapsed into bed hopelessly limp. I went into her faster and with a stream of incoherent words I pulled out of her and cum spilled all over her back. “Bloody Hell.” I pushed my hair into a messy bun and fell next to her.

“That was...” Persephone didn't complete her sentence she just sighed.

“Yeah, pretty incredible.” My hand made its way back over to the drawer and grabbed the knife. I climbed back on top of her. “We should talk.” I smiled. I crossed my arms and revealed the knife. “I am a wee bit tired of you...”

Persephone yelped and I placed my hand over mouth.

“Shut it… or I will use this god damned knife. I am showing major self-control by not killing you. I mean major,” she squirmed underneath me and my legs locked her down. “Persephone!” I yelled. “Shut your mouth now or I will spill every ounce of your blood all over these sheets. And my mum bought me these sheets. I'd rather they stay in good shape.”

  She exhaled and grew silent.

“Are you going to keep yourself quiet?” I watched her as she shook her head yes. “Now, I am happy with Cypress.”

  “Okay.”

“And I would rather you disappear.”

  She sho
ok uncontrollably. “Okay, I swear.”

“Now, here are some rules to insure that this never happens again...” I glaze over her skin with the cold knife. “I want you to understand that I am never leaving her. And she better not find out about this.”

  “She won't.”

“I know. Because if she does… and I find out it's from you… I will find you, Persephone. Even if that means traveling millions of miles. I will paint the walls of your home with your blood and drain you slowly while you scream for mercy… and then I will burn your body, and sprinkle your ashes in a trash can. Next stay away from me, stay away from her.”

Tears flowed from her face and I could feel my anger taking over. “Don't fucking cry. You are getting off easy. I fucked you and then warn you and darling. I have done so much worst.” I threatened. “I could have murdered you and done it, but I was nice. You should be grateful, as a matter of fact thank me.” I applied some pressure to her neck and bit my lip. “Now.”

  “Thank you.” she cried.

“Good, now get your jacket and leave...”

  Chapter Eleven

  Cypress

My bookshelf looked like a tornado had visited. All because I could not find my Stephen King book. I stared at the bookshelf in hopes that it would reveal itself and this afternoon would be saved from the hassle to relook. Of course the plan failed and I laid back on the carpet floor and groaned in frustration.

“What are you doing?” It was the first word he had said since he started to work on his book. He had seen my trouble and he just laughed and kept working three times. I wanted to slap the perfection out of him.

  “Dying slowly.” I moaned.

“You are over exaggerating. Are you sure you didn't let anyone borrow the book? Mark likes to read Stephen King.”

“I didn't let anyone borrow anything. Did you let someone borrow it?”

“No Cypress,” he continued to click on his computer. “Just buy it on your e-reader.”

“I want to hold the book and read it. I can only read that thing when the lights are out.”

“I can think of better things to do when the lights are out.” Lucas chuckled and pecked a few more keys on his computer. “There is something that I have got to get handled out of the country in a few weeks. You are free to come with if you want to.”

“No.” I said. “Will Stephen King be there?”

“More than likely no,” he laughed. “Are you seriously upset about this book?”

  “Why are you so amused?”

“You are dying because you can't find a book. You can just buy another one. I mean, that’s why author outs, no limit on how many books you can buy.”

“Do you know before we met I read your book over ten times?”

“You mentioned it once.” Mentioned it. He loved it.

“Well, books are therapy for me. I need them to feel alive.”

“You’re a hyperbole woman. You just like to read. And I understand it, baby, I love it. I love a well read, well sexed woman. Sometimes I can get lost in a book and wonder how five hours passed.”

“Yeah, yeah. Somehow every conversation we have together ventures back to sex with you.” I stood up and looked at him. “What are you working on over there?”

“A book,” he said quickly. “My publisher asked for a sample of something new to put on my page. My audience is a little upset that there will not be a movie. So I am writing a book called In Her Hand. And I feel like if they read a decently written chapter they would let up.”

“So that's what you are going to do when we finish college?”

“Yep, three months left for me. I'll just write and re-write and brood sometimes.”

“I wish it was that easy for me. I am thinking that I will more than likely just teach English. And I really don’t understand how February has passed us by already. Except for Valentine’s Day. I’ve yet to know what the hell you have up your sleeve.”

“What I have up these sleeves will never be revealed until it gets here.” Lucas exhaled, “And you can write if you want to Cypress, no one ever said that writing was easy. It’s actually harder because for the first time you’ll let someone in your head. You can’t be scared people won’t accept the stupid shit that dwells up there. Just let it out. You not writing is just some nerves and laziness blending. I want you to push yourself harder than you ever have before.”

“Whatever, it’s Saturday and I’d rather eat and watch TV until something hits me. That’s my normal process.” Food had been heavy on my mind since we had been cooped up in my apartment all day. I want some pickles. You want some pickles.”

“No, I do want some pea soup.”

  “You can get that yourself.”

“You have to try it one day or better yet the...”

I finished his sentence. “Three Bean Soup.” I paused. “No way, sir. That is nasty. I would really just like a sandwich with some pickles on it and maybe a side of chili cheese fries.”

  “Don't be fat now.”

“I am not fat. I am in college, though.”

“Excuses,” Lucas mumbled. “The soup is really good though. I will make us some tonight.”

“I have to go to your mom's house tonight. She decided that she was cooking us some kind of chicken, buffalo… something.”

“Probably a casserole.” he complained. “Do we have to go over there? She tends to talk too much for too long and I have a deadline.”

“You can stay.” I answered. “I have to change and then I need to get some rolls for the meal.” I made my way to the room, stepping over half of my book collection and his large backpack.

“You are my girlfriend you know that?”

  “How could I forget?”

“I don't know. You spend more time with my mum these days than me.”

“You get quiet easily.” I looked into the array of unorganized clothes and snatched the blue university sweatshirt from the pile and he was behind me.

“You don't like me being quiet?”

“I like you better when you talk and let me know what the hell is going on in there.”

“I have some tainted thoughts in here Cy.”

“Like when you said you like to see the souls leave?”

I watched as his face turned white and he turned his head at me. “When did I say that exactly?”

“Our special trip this Winter Break.” I paused. “You said… I like to see the souls leave. I wish I had one. I don't know what you meant, but for once I felt like I had some insight into whatever you are thinking usually in your head.”

“You really don't want to know what is going on,” He answered.

  “Your dark inside.”

  “I am?” He questioned.

“Your writing is dark Lucas and you have this look on your face most of the time that is just different. You look like you could care less about what anyone else says. Sometimes you do it to me. Sometimes you don't. I don't know.”

“Well, I sincerely apologize if I make you think that I don't care. I do care about you more than you will ever know. And I didn't realize I...”

“You let me see the real you that you have been hiding for forever that day. And yes, my mind was a little off, but that was the first time that you really let me in.”

“I allow you in every day.”

“It's fine.” I kissed his cheek. This conversation was obviously over. I had grown tired of it. At some point I needed to realize that he would never truly allow me to see the real him. “Are we leaving here soon? I hope she cooks.”

“I want to finish this conversation.” He snapped.

“Okay finish it. Tell me something about you that I don’t know. What makes you so different from everyone else in this world? I tell you everything and you treat me like a fragile child. I will not break if you tell me something Lucas.”

  “I'm not normal Cy.”

“I didn't think that you were.” I mumbled.

  “I don't think I have a soul.
Lucas flashed his smile at me. “There you go. I don’t think I have the capability to feel emotions.”

“That is bullshit.” I looked at him as he brow creased.

“So I tell you something and you are just gonna call it bullshit. I am pouring my heart out here Cypress.

“Pouring your heart out about being emotionless?”

“You asked for the truth damn it.”

  Lucas was humorous. “Forget it.”

“Baby,” He soothed me jokingly. “There is nothing to tell you. I swear to it.”

“You don’t feel emotions towards me?”

“I don’t feel emotions towards anyone else Cypress. I just don’t react the same as any normal person.”

“So you are just a selfish dick?” I asked.

  “Why?”

“Because like you said.” He backed away towards the bed. “I tend to see things differently through my eyes. I am not compassionate and I don't care about anyone but you most of the time.”

“Well, maybe you just suppress those feelings. Who did you care about before I came along? I know you love Tracy and Mark.”

“I do love Tracy and Mark. But I’m not good at showing it. I would much rather banter with them.” He paused as if more was to come. “I can't do this right now. I don't think telling you about me will keep you here.”

“I'm not going anywhere. I’m pretty much here to stay, Lucas face it you’re trapped with me.”

“You will if I tell you. Hurry up and we can head on to the house. She'll start.” Lucas walked out of the room holding his keys, his back turned to me.

“No, sir!” I pulled him back into the room. “What is it? What are you hiding?”

“I am not a good person. What is this a damn counseling session? I don’t have shit to tell you Cypress.”

“There’s pretty much everything to tell. Why aren't you a good person?”

“Because I’m not. I don’t have to tell you everything about. There has to be something that is left to the imagination. You are intruding on my personal feeling is annoying as shit.”
