When You Came Home With Me: A Secret Baby Second Chance Romance (Blue Shore Book 3)

Cici traced her hand down my pants, then bit my lip playfully. “We could do it right now, you know. Nobody would be the wiser.”
“I can’t believe I’m saying this, but let’s wait. When we’re together tonight, we’ll be man and wife. And we’ll know all day how much we want to get into each others’ pants.” I laughed.
She pretended to pout. One hand traced my arm, and the other went to her belly. It was just beginning to swell. “Tim, it’s not for me, it’s for the baby.” She laughed, knowing she’d been overusing that excuse, especially when it came to the foods she wanted.
Who was I to stop Cici from fulfilling her cravings, though? The baby that was going to be born here, in Blue Shore, was everything to us. She’d grow up here, playing with her spunky, sassy sister Maggie, and chasing those wild Bedloe twins around on the trails. It was going to be heaven, I knew that already.
We had named the baby, no matter whether it was supposed to be good or bad luck. We knew her so well already that it seemed silly not to give her a name. Late one night, we’d counted to three and each spoken the name we wanted. It had come as no surprise at all when Cici and I both said the same thing at the same time.
Our baby would be called Summer. We were naming her after the summer we came home together, and the Summers that were still here in spirit, in our home and in our town. We loved them all, no matter what had happened years ago.
Knowing that I couldn’t argue with my beautiful wife when she wanted something, I reached my hands around to the sides of her lacy panties and untied the strings that held them up. She leaned backwards onto the bed, and pulled me down with her.
We were starting a new life.
At home.
Together.
