To My Husband And Kids For Their Love And Support I Couldn’t Have Done It Without Them.

  Prologue

  Ten years ago

“I don’t want to leave I don’t want to leave you.” I cry. Jesse wraps his arms around me kissing the crown of my head. “It’s okay Danielle. It will be okay baby.” He whispers into my hair. It hurt so much the idea of leaving here and not seeing him again.

“Why can’t we just run right now just the two of us.” I beg him like I have for the last month. As soon as I learned I was moving my fifteen-old heart shattered into a pile of dust in my chest. “You know why they’re pushing this move.” I clutch at him.

“It will be all right, baby. You're mine forever. When you can, call for me and I’ll come for you.” Jesse says firmly. Drawing backwards, he pushes his lips to mine. Tears flow freely down my face. My parents didn’t want us together.

When I refused to stop seeing him they forced this move on me. “You know we can’t run now Danny I can’t leave the club, it’s my legacy and how would we survive?” He whispers gently. I know he’s right, but that doesn’t make it any easier.

“Look at me sweetheart, you call me and I will be right there to get you I promise.” Jesse says fiercely. Fighting the sobs that were racking my body I nod my head. Words have failed me at this point.

I couldn’t picture my life without him without my Jesse. We have been together one way or another since we were six. Nine years together and I pictured forever. Kissing him fiercely I try to swallow the regret of not having him in the dance as old as time.

I want him to be the first and only I promise myself in that moment there will never be another. “It will always be you Jesse.” I whisper against his lips. His hand wraps up in my hair, holding me in place as his kisses become more intense more demanding.

I love this man with every fiber of my being. “Look at me baby it will be okay, promise to write me, call me please let me know where you are.” The begging tone in his voice has me swallowing hard.

Nodding, I grab hold of him tighter I never want to let go. “It’s time baby you need to go before they come looking.” He whispers into my ear I feel his arms tighten a little before releasing me.

“I love you Danny.” More tears spill over “I love you Jesse.” I say fiercely. One last kiss. A kiss that needs to last me until he could come for me. I turn and walk away, I fight the urge to look back it was a battle hard won.

  Chapter 1

  Danny

  Present Day….

The move that took me away from the man I love was a nightmare worse than any possible imagination I could have come up with.

The first day at our new home. I tried to write Jesse I wanted to give him our address. The result? The letter never left the house, and neither did I. I was home schooled and not for good reasons.

For the last ten years, I was a prisoner in my own home. Living in fear was a constant in my life that turned down right terrifying when I was informed four weeks ago, my parents sold me to a man a very dangerous man.

I was to marry him in two months. I went along with it waited for the opportunity to escape. They thought they broke me that I was docile and meek. They loosened the chains allowing me a little freedom.

The first chance I got I was out the door. I had no money or clothes. I was walking for what felt like forever staying hidden from other people. I learned my lesson when a man asked me if I needed a ride I guess payment was expected. I kicked him in his man parts and ran.

Since then I have stayed in the tree line. I was starving, I couldn’t remember the last meal I had. Something I was used to. My parents feed me little after the move. I passed the city line a few hours ago, I was so close to Jesse I could almost feel him.

The sound of bikes had me jumping. Peaking around the trees I watched two bikers drive by both wearing the Sons Of The Apocalypse MC cuts. I cried in relief I knew I could trust them, they would take me to Jesse.

Rushing from the trees I wave my arms up and down at first I didn’t think they could hear me screaming or see my arms moving up and down. But one signaled to the other and both slowed and turned around.

Both pulled up next to me. One removed his helmet I stare at him in shock, I couldn’t believe my eyes, “You alright darling” he asks me “Jace? Is that you?” I ask in wonder. “Who are you?” His voice turned dark, full of suspicion.

Happy tears fill my eyes, I rush to his arms open for a hug. A hand wraps around my arm, halting me in my tracks. “Whoa there sweetheart.” The man growls quietly. I cry in fear. “Help me Jace, please.” I beg him as I tremble in fear.

“Who are you?” Jace demands. “Danny I’m Danny don’t you remember me Jace?” I ask him sadly. If he’s forgotten me, then so has everyone else, something I should be used to but the hope there were other people out there that knew I existed kept me sane.

“Danny? Danielle Moore?” Jace asks in shock. I was afraid all I could do was nod my head. “Let her go.” He snaps at the man holding me. As soon as he's had released my arm I was grabbing Jace with everything in me I didn’t want to let go the first real human contact I have had in years.

“What happened to you sweetheart?” Jace whispers quietly. “So many things. I’m really hungry and so tired can you please take me to the clubhouse?” I ask him quietly. “Sure, sweetheart gets on the back of my bike I’ll bring you to the club house.” He says gently.

Nodding, I climb onto the back of his bike with his help relief washes over me, I made it I was safe. I wasn’t forgotten Jace knew who I was maybe the other would as well. I needed Jesse. I missed him so much he has been like a broken record on repeat in my head. Over the last few years. Every moment we spent together, all the words that were said, every touch, every dream.

It felt like I blinked and missed the whole ride we were there in seconds. My nerves kicked into high gear when we parked the bike. Jace holds out his hand slowly I place mine into his and climb off his bike.

Standing there awkwardly I shuffle from foot to foot. Now that I was here I had no idea what I was going to do next. Well, I knew what I was to do next I just didn’t know how to get there. Jace was already striding in the direction of the clubhouse door his long legs eating up the space fast.

Looking behind me, I see the man standing there looking at me. Swallowing in fear I take off running after Jace. Jace was at the door by the time I caught up to him holding it open and waving me forward.

I was a chicken I didn’t want to go in first I wanted to hide behind Jace. “It’s okay, Danny.” He tells me gently. Swallowing I raise my head and hold it high as I walk through the door only to drop it and look at the floor when a table seating three-woman stare at me.

“Ella” Jace calls out. My head jerks up Ella? Ella O’ Conner? One of the women from the table stands and makes her way over to us. She wraps her arms around Jace in a clear mine pose.

“Ella, you remember Danny, don’t you?” Jace waves his hand in my direction I feel my cheeks turn pink. She turned her head so fast I was sure whip lash was a definite side effect. I watch her eyes widen they got so big I was afraid they were going to fall out of her head.

“Danny? Is that really you?” Ella whispers quietly. I look down at myself, I was covered in dirt looking back at her I smile I was just so happy to be free to be home. “Yes, it’s me,” I tell her with a light laugh.

My laughter quickly turned into a squeak. Ella w
rapped both her arms around me and squeezed hard. It has been so long. So long since I have had human contact I sigh as tears fill my eyes.

“Where’s Jesse?” I whisper into her ear. I felt her stiffen slightly. I watch Jace walk out of the room over her shoulder. “Let’s get you cleaned up.” Ella says as she releases me. She grabs my hand and drags me out of the room. The girls at the table following behind us.

  Chapter 2

  Jesse

I was just about to fuck this chick who at this very moment was face down on my bed ass in the air moaning. Slipping the condom on I line my cock up. “Open the fuck up Jesse!” Jace shouts through the door.

Fuck! Pulling the condom off I slap her ass “Sorry honey, but you need to go.” I tell her as I walk into the bathroom. I may be an asshole, but she doesn’t matter, none of them do. I hear her huffing and begging from the other room as I pull my jeans on.

I don’t bother with a response. ‘Sooner more so than later’ she will be out the door and the whining will stop. The sound of the door slamming against the wall has a smile spreading over my face that was a hell of a lot sooner than I thought.

The silence that followed was quickly breached by Jace’s laughter. Frustration mounts inside me. That fucker has an old lady and sex a plenty of course he found this shit funny. At this very moment, I feel my balls turning blue.

“What the fuck, Jace?” I snarl. His face went from amused to serious and something inside me sank. What the fuck was going on? I knew whatever this shit was it was going to blow my world to shit.

“Fuck man, I have no clue where to start. This shit isn’t easy to share.” His voice was full of pity something you never got from Jace he was a cold motherfucker so whatever he needed to tell me it was bad.

“Spit it the fuck out.” I snap at him. A part of me wanted to say keep that shit to yourself, but I knew I needed to hear it. “We picked someone up on our way back today...” Jace pauses and I wanted nothing more than to wrap my hands around him and shake his ass until the answers fell out.

I feel a smile spread as the image takes hold in my mind kind of like all those commercials where people are being shaken and shit all their shit falls out of their pockets I could just see Jace’s angry snarl as it happened.

“Wipe that smile off your face asshole this is very fucking serious.” His voice was like a whip it cracked in the air. “So, spit that shit out.” I growl at him. “Sit your ass down. I don’t want you to fucking move from that spot until I tell you, fucker. As your second I demand this not as a friend, although this is also being done because you’re my friend, Jesse. I promise you this needs to be how it happens.”

I glare, but follow orders. Sitting here I glare up at him with a silent demand spit it the fuck out already you ruined my evening with whatever her name was so let’s get on with it. “Alright, fuck so we picked her up, she was terrified covered in dirt. Look man there is no easy way to say this but, it was Danny.” He sighs and something inside of me catches fire.

“No fucking way! Danny is not here she left me.” I snap at him what a fucking asshole, rubbing that shit in my face. “No man I don’t know what happened to her, but whatever it was, it was bad man really fucking bad.” He looks sad and pissed.

Something inside me hollows out like someone took a spoon and scraped my insides. No this can’t be happening. “I’m sorry man” Jace puts a hand on my shoulder. I look at the offending appendage like it was a snake ready to bite.

“Just go” My voice was hollow as hollow as I felt. Instead of leaving, he lingers for a moment. “Dude, she’s out there waiting for you. Asking for you.” Then he was gone, leaving me in a cesspool of hate, anger, and loneliness.

  Chapter 3

  Danny

It felt amazing to shower off all the dirt and grime. Stepping into the jeans Ella gave me, I look longingly at my old dirty underwear commando was a must, sighing I slip the black tight tank top over my head.

I feel so much better maybe now I can finally see him, see my Jesse. Every time I ask they put me off telling me how I need to get cleaned up. They were right, I needed that shower and some clothes.

Walking out of the room, I pause as three sets of eyes find mine, no, four Jace was standing in the door looking concerned. “Did you find him Jace? I really need to see him.” My voice was hopeful, cheerful even.

“No, sweetheart, Jesse is out right now.” His voice was confident, but his stance was not. Something wasn’t right. I knew better than to argue. My parents made sure I was docile something that was in the sales pitch.

I shudder slightly at the memories threatening to take hold. Fighting them was almost useless a few escape I remember standing in the living room naked as I was examined by men so many men.

Tears gather in my eyes, as I fight back the fear and pain I was free, remember that, free. I keep repeating the word in my head. Opening my eyes, I had no clue I closed them, I see concerned faces staring back at me.

Giving them my best smile I pretend I wasn’t lost in the hellish world, I have lived in the last ten years. I needed Jesse he would comfort me he would protect me. “So, Danny, what have you been up to the last ten years?” Ella asks.

Her voice was something sweet that would be comforting, but it wasn’t. My body breaks out in a cold sweat. Swallowing I look at my feet and keep silent. What could I tell them. My parents locked me away for ten years, then sold me?

Shaking my head, I force words to leave my mouth, even though I wanted to stitch it closed so the world would never ask me to share the monstrosities I was subject to. “Nothing,” I whisper I could feel myself closing in and shutting down.

“I’m really hungry.” I squeak. “I’m so sorry Danny, I completely forgot this room is for you to use.” Ella smiles at me and I feel myself relax a little. “Come on Danny lets go pig out!” Tessa’s voice was full of excitement.

I really like her. I watch as Ella and Livie walk out the door Jace was already gone. Moving to follow them Tessa stops me before I reach the door. Her hand was on my shoulder and her eyes were locked onto mine.

“Danny, I know some shit has happened to you and it was bad...” I open my mouth to deny it before the words left my mouth, her hand was gently placed against my mouth. I feel the panic rise as the memories fight to surface.

“I’m here if you want to talk, okay, I’ve had some problems and I promise not to share anything.” Her words were full of understanding and compassion. I feel the heat rise to my face as the warmth spreads through my body.

“Thanks Tessa.” My voice was quiet. I wasn’t sure if I could ever share my last ten years with anyone not even Jesse. Just the thought of telling him had my heart constricting. Her warm smile melts away some of the tension.

So, I give her a nod and follow her out the door, hopefully, to find food lots and lots of food.

  Chapter 4

  Jesse

Holding my head in my hands, I try to wrap my mind around the possibility she was out there waiting for me. A bitter laugh rises in my throat she’s not waiting for me, she left ten years ago, with promises she broke the first chance she got.

I waited like a fool for any sign she was okay that she missed me when I heard nothing I still held onto the hope, but when I turned eighteen, I realized she was never going to send for me I felt like a fool.

My heart felt black and heavy like a stone in my chest. Part of me wanted it to be true. I wanted her to come home to be with me to have the future we always wanted but the larger bitterest part of me wanting nothing more than to tell her to fuck off and prove to her how much she ruined me.

Women have become just a place to find relief from the darkness that has surrounded me for the last ten years. You don’t find your soul mate before you can really understand that girls are not yucky and full of cooties.

I spent eleven years of my young life following her. From the first day, she walked into my pre-k class. It was like I was struck by a rock to the head, she was just per
fect. She called to me like nothing ever had and nothing has since.

The more I sit here and remember our past the more I feel like a foolish girl. If this keeps up my dick is going to climb inside me and never come back out. Standing I start to pace, stepping out of this room was a risk.

If she really was out there, then I would come face to face with my past and my stupidity. Snap the fuck out of it Jesse you’re not a bitch. Grow some fucking balls and show her what she missed out on all those years ago, what she gave up.

Smiling, I pull a shirt over my head, then my cut. Fuck her and the horse she came in on. I didn’t need her. Opening the door, I walk through it with purposeful strides. I eat up the space between myself and the main room.

Without really pausing I scan the room as I make my way to the bar. I was almost to it when something collided with me, no, not something, someone. Almost losing my balance I grab said someone and force both of us to remain upright.

Feeling the feminine curves before my eyes registered what or who was in front of me. “Watch it, sweetheart,” I grumble without looking at her I continue to the bar only to stop again as her arms wrap around me from behind.

“I missed you so much, Jesse.” She whispers and everything in me freezes. My eyes slowly take in the slim form a very slim form, almost all bones, of Danny her long brown hair was brushing her ass.

Her head was tilted back so she could look up at me. Her beautiful brown eyes, with specks of gold, look at me with love, a look I missed so much. Anger surges through me. Fighting for control I gently push her away.

Words have failed me, so instead of saying a word I walk around her to the bar. I needed a drink, I was originally going to get a beer but, now well, I needed something way the fuck stronger.
