  Vidar smiled. "Holland."

"Ah." He yawned. "How long's that going to take to get to?"

Vidar smiled. "Another three hours, give or take." He squeezed Tamir's hand. "Have a nap. I'll wake you up when it's your turn to drive."

  "Okay."

Vidar pulled into a driveway almost four hours later. He got out to open the gate and stretched, feeling everything from his neck to his ankles pop.

"Where are we?" Tamir asked, yawning and rubbing his eyes.

"We're here." Vidar climbed back inside the wheel as Tamir adjusted his posture, his back cracking.

"I thought you were going to let me drive if you got tired."

"I didn't get tired." Vidar smiled and rolled through the gate, stopping in order to close it again. "It's okay. You needed the rest."

"Not as much as you." Tamir looked out the window as they barrelled down the gravel driveway, a cloud of dust floating after them.

The manor house was bigger than Vidar's English manor. It was three storeys tall, and its facade spread across the length of a football field.

"Whoa..." Tamir murmured, gaping at the vast building.

Vidar grinned and pulled up in front of the steps, smiling as a collection of people spilled onto the driveway. Vidar stood up and greeted them in Dutch, then gestured to Tamir. Tamir appeared around the car and stepped up close to Vidar, watching all these unfamiliar faces with wariness.

"This is my man, Tamir." Vidar smiled at Tamir. "They understand English, so you can talk to them whenever you want. I'll start teaching you a few languages, so you'll never be left dry in a country."

Tamir nodded, then handed Vidar the bag. "I don't know about you, but I could do with a bath."

Vidar nodded, grabbing his hand. "Of course, cica. Anything you want, it's yours."

Tamir kissed Vidar. "All I want is you."

Hayley sat in her study, head in her hands, when someone banged on the door. She stood up, her knees and back cracking. It was cold tonight, and she was feeling her two thousand years already.

Hayley grumbled as she snatched the door open, then glared down at the pair on her doorstep.

"What do you want?" she demanded, licking her lips.

"You made me a promise, little sister," Vidar said, tying off the end of the braid he'd made in his hair. "You promised that Tamir would be safe."

Tamir bared his fangs. "You lied."

Hayley tried not to take a step back, but the pair of vampires were very intimidating. They pushed her inside, shutting the door. Vidar grabbed Tamir's hand, holding the younger man tightly.

"I had no idea what was happening to him, to you—"

Tamir growled a little, managing to stun Hayley. The woman was far, far older and more powerful than him, but Tamir had Vidar's backing. And Vidar meant trouble. He wasn't the oldest surviving sibling for no reason.

  "Now Vidar, be reasonable—"

Tamir streaked forward, grabbing the woman's arms and holding them behind her, locking her elbows so she couldn't move.

"My Tamir got hurt, Hayley," Vidar said, stepping forward and pulling the woman's head sidewards. "My cica got hurt while you were fiddle-assing around with paperwork. He died."

"But you brought him back," she squeaked, tears trickling from the corners of her eyes. "Please, brother, don't—"

"I trusted you," Vidar snarled, his fangs descending. "My cica got hurt because I trusted you."

  "Vidar, don't—"

Vidar lunged forward, grabbing a mouthful of her neck. She tried to scream but Tamir pulled her head to the side, squeezing her throat so no sound escaped. He licked his lips, watching Vidar rip the woman's neck to shreds, and his stomach growled. The sight was making him hungry.

Vidar let go of Hayley, and Tamir did as well, letting her corpse fall to the ground. He stepped over her, grabbing Vidar and backing him into the wall, kissing him hungrily. He tried to suck as much blood as he could out of Vidar's mouth. Vidar purred into the kiss, his hands restrained above his head by his lover's arms.

Tamir pulled back, licking the blood from Vidar's neck and Vidar closed his eyes as his cock hardened.

  "Mmm, Tamir," he groaned.

Tamir smiled, then released Vidar's hand in favour of rubbing the older man's erection through his jeans.

"We should take this home," Vidar said, then caught Tamir's lips with his own. "Before someone finds us."

Tamir glanced over his shoulder at the redhead's corpse. "Why? She won't tell," he said, sinking his teeth into Vidar's neck.

Vidar groaned, riding the waves of passion that Tamir was stirring inside him. "I love you, Tamir."

Tamir smiled, dropping to his knees in front of Vidar and undoing the blond's fly, releasing the older man's erection from its confines. "I love you too."
