Right Kind of Wrong Page 18

“No, I can take you. Where do you have to go?”

  “The clinic by the hospital.”

“Yeah, I’ll take you. We can go out to lunch afterwards.” I hear her phone ringing from the bedroom. She breaks free from me. “Fuck, why don’t they get a clue.” She says in a pissed off tone. She goes down the hallway and gets her phone out of my room and comes back to the kitchen.

  “You ok?” I ask.

“No! They’ve called me five fucking times already.”

  “I’m sorry, Em.”

“It’s ok. Just be thankful you don’t have crazy controlling parents.” She goes over to the coffee pot to get a cup of coffee.

I walk up and wrap my arms around her, “Anything I can do to make you feel better?”

She lets out a small laugh, “I could think of something.”

I slid my hands down her stomach and find the waistband of her shorts and slip my hands in. Her breath catches.

“Xander,” She moans. My hand finds her clit and I start to rub it, she throws her head back against me. “I love the way you know how to touch me,” She says.

I slip a finger in her, “Damn, you’re wet already.” I lean in and kiss her neck. I take my other hand and slide it up underneath her shit and play with her breasts.

“I want you Emily, I want you now.” She wiggles my finger out of her and turns around.

“Make love to me Xander.” She wraps her arms around my neck, I lift her up and place her on the counter. Her legs spread apart, I slip my hand in her shorts again and place my fingers back in her and start to fuck her with my fingers.

“Xander!” She shouts as she comes.

  “Shower with me?” She asks.

“Thought you’d never ask.” I carry her to the bathroom, place her on the counter and turn to get the shower on. When I turn around, she’s naked sitting there waiting for me.

She wraps her legs around my waist and pulls me in. She starts pulling at my hair, I gently pull her hair and expose her neck and go after it. Her hands find the waistband of my pants and she unbuttons them. I stand back, take off my pants and boxers, lift her up and carry her to the shower.

Her back is pressed up against the brown tile, her legs wrapped out my waist. She grinds her hips against my cock and I know she’s ready. She wants it. Our lips never leaving each other, I move my hips backwards and thrust in forward and my cock slides into her pussy.

Her hips are doing all the work, grinding and moving in circles. “Hold on to me baby.” I whisper in her ear.

Taking my hands and putting them on each side of her to support myself, I start slamming into her. She’s holding on tight letting out moan after moan. Each one getting louder and louder.

“Xander, oh my god. Baby!” She shouts and comes.

“Fuck baby!” I snarl and release.

Holding her up against the tile both trying to catch our breaths. “Yeah, morning sex is a must.” She laughs.

“Yeah, most definitely, but then that means you’ll have to be spending the night a lot.”

She laughs again, “Ok, if you insist.”

I put her down and let her get herself cleaned up. I get hard again just watching the soap run down her body. She looks down and looks back up at me, “After the doctor’s appointment.” She bends down and sticks just the head in her mouth and swirls her tongue and stops. “Something to think about all day.” She says and walks out of the shower leaving me here hard and wanting more.

“Tease!” I shout as she closes the shower door.

I get Emily to her doctor’s appointment, and he still insist no work until at least then end of February, but the doctor would like to see her stay out until March. Her concussion is still bad and she needs to take it easy. She can’t even drive yet. I feel bad for her, because I’d be losing my mind. The guys told me not to worry about the bar, just to take care of Emily.

We go out to lunch and she wants to go grocery shopping and get a bunch of things. I have no idea how long she’s going to stay with me. I want to ask her, but I’m scared to ask for fear it’s going to sound like I want her to leave. That’s not the case. If it were up to me, I’d go pack her stuff up and she’d just move in with me.

We get back to my house and I realize I’ve got to go get Harlie from school. “You want to come with?” I ask her.

“Nah, I’m not ready yet. I’ll stay here and put groceries away.”

“Ok, well I won’t be long.” I lean down and kiss her. “I’ll be back in a little bit.”

“Ok, I’ll be here.” She gives me a smile. Something is bothering her and I wish I knew what it was.

XANDER JUST LEFT to go get Harlie from school. I stayed behind to put the groceries away. I’m still not ready to see the kids or the school, just yet. I have avoided my parents’ calls all day and night. I don’t get how they can say shit and then expect me to call them back or answer their calls. I did check my voicemail just to make sure nothing has happened. It’s just my dad or my mom telling me that I need to stop acting like a child and talk to them.

Mel texted me to let me know I got the check from the insurance company. That’s great and all, but I can’t fucking drive, so why should I care about the check right now. Doctors won’t let me drive for at least another two weeks. I’m going to lose my fucking mind pretty soon!

Someone knocks on the door and Axel starts to go crazy, barking and growling at the door. I go to the front door and open it, thinking its Xander, and of course it’s not.

“What are you doing here? How did you know where I was?” I ask my parents.

“When you weren’t at your house, we knew you had to be here. We came to see you, to see if you were done acting like a child.” My mother snaps.

“I haven’t returned any of your calls. That should be your answer. I don’t want to talk to you.”

“Emily! You stop acting like this! What has this guy done to you? This is not the daughter we raised.” My dad chimes in.

I go outside and close the door behind me, “Excuse me? He hasn’t done anything to me, this is all because of you and your small-minded world you live in. The daughter you raised is done being a puppet. I don’t want to be you!” I shout looking at my mother. Whose hair is perfectly placed, her make-up done just perfect, wearing jeans and a green sweater. She looks like the perfect Stepford wife.

“Emily Grace! You apologize to your mother!” My father demands. My dad and his khaki pants and black button down shirt with his greying hair perfectly done.

“No! I’m not going to apologize because I’m speaking the truth.”

“You do realize, we meant what we said. We leave here, don’t plan on ever contacting us again.” My dad tells me.

“Yep, I’m aware of it and obviously me not returning your calls should have spoken volumes to you. Not sure what you were expecting coming here . . .”

“I was hoping you would have come to your senses.” My dad says.

I start laughing, “I have come to my senses and I’m right where I’m supposed to be. So if that’s all, you can leave now.” I stand there cross arm standing my ground.

“Emily, I cannot believe you’re doing this.” My mom says.

“I’m sorry mom, but I’m not backing down. This is where I belong. Hopefully, one day you will see it too.”

“Well fine, if she wants to be this way, we have a flight to catch.” My dad commands my mom. Fuck I hate it when he does that. I think to myself.

“Well, I guess that’s it. Oh, be sure to tell my sisters and my brother the truth about me not coming around anymore. Make sure you tell them who’s to blame, because if you don’t, I will.” I say glaring at my dad. He just stood there, no words, just staring at me. It was as if we were having a pissing contest. If he thinks I’m going to back down, he’s got a new thing coming.

“Ok Emily, your father is right. We have a plane to catch.” She walks up and hugs me, “I’ll call you next week. Please answer my call. I love you.” She
whispers in my ear.

“Ok Mom, have a safe trip.” I look my mom in the eyes and smile at her. “Dad,” I say giving him my ‘I win, fuck you!’ grin. He doesn’t say anything, he just walks to the car not looking back. “Asshole.” I say under my breath. I stand there watching them leave and the aftermath hits me, I start shaking and tears start to flow out of my eyes. I sit on the bench and try to calm myself before Xander and Harlie get home, but that doesn’t happen because they pull in right as my parents pull out the driveway. “Fuck me!” I growl. Ok fake smile time. You can do this. Pretend everything is ok. I give myself a pep talk.

“Emily! You’re still here!” She shouts.

“I told you I would be kiddo! How was school?” I ask Harlie, Little Miss Blue Eyes. I swear this kid has got to have the bluest eyes I’ve ever seen and her hair so blonde. With this blonde haired, blue eyed little girl, we will be chasing the boys off for sure. Wait, did I just say ‘we’? Shit, why am I thinking that far ahead? Stop Emily, just stop!

“It was ok, Mrs. Smith is really crabby. She’s always yelling.” She says with a pouty face.

“Sorry, Kiddo. Doctor still says no work yet. Soon I’ll be back, and we’ll go back to having fun.”

“Go inside and change out of your school clothes. We’ll be in, in a few minutes.”

“Ok, Daddy!” She says and does it without being told more than once. She goes inside and closes the door.

“So you gonna tell me what’s up?” He asks me.

  “Nothing, everything is fine.”

“Really? So me passing your parents in the driveway is nothing?”

  “You saw them, huh?”

“Yeah, your mother looked like she was crying and your dad looked pissed.”

“Oh well, yeah they found me. They came over thinking I would change my mind and go back with them. I stood my ground. Dad, of course, doesn’t like it, but fuck it. I don’t care. My mom did say though that she loved me and she would call me this week and wants to me take her call. Not sure what that’s about, but whatever.”

  “So, are you really ok?”

  “I guess. I don’t know anymore how I feel. I guess I’m just numb.”

“Come on, let’s go inside and try to enjoy the rest of the night.” He holds out his hands and helps me up. “You know I love you and I’m not going anywhere. Right?” He says wrapping his arms around me.

I look up at him, “Yeah, I know. I love you too.”

The rest of the week was uneventful. I stayed with Xander the whole week, getting to know him and Harlie more. I can say without a doubt that this is where my heart is. Xander and I have been getting to know each other more and more each day, and the Pop Rocks have been put to good use, a lot. Sex with him now is more intense and hotter, and I never thought that would be possible, but I totally think it has something to do with us telling each other how we feel. He doesn’t go a day without telling me how much he loves me. I’m still trying to get used to it, still afraid I’m going to wake up one day and he’s going to be gone.

Saturday rolls around, and since almost all the bruising and swelling has gone away on my face, we decided to go car shopping for me. I still haven’t gotten the ‘ok’ to drive but I want to buy a car and I don’t give a shit what the doctor says, I’m going to start driving. I need my freedom back. Dressed in blue jeans, white t-shirt and my white canvas shoes, Xander and I take off for a day of car shopping.

We test drove probably eight cars, and I was getting annoyed. I just wasn’t feeling any of them.

“Babe, what are you looking for? You’ve test drove eight different cars and SUVs and you’re not liking any of them.”

“I don’t know Xander this is pissing me off. Who would have thought car shopping would be this hard.” “Maybe we should just give up and call it a day.” I say completely frustrated.

The salesman comes back out while we’re walking the lot. I feel sorry for this kid. I’ve made him run all over the place. He’s nice and all, but he’s got to think I’m the most annoying person ever. He comes up and says, “So, have we decided on anything yet?”

Xander starts laughing, “I’m really sorry, but she hasn’t found anything she likes yet.”

Mac the car salesman, is dressed in black dress pants, a white button-down dress shirt with a black and white checkered tie and his brown hair is slicked back. He’s not a bad looking guy actually, if I had a single girlfriend I’d totally set them up. “It’s ok. Emily, have you thought about a truck? Maybe you’d feel safer in a truck?” He says.

Could this kid be on to something? I’ve always wanted a truck, actually my first vehicle was a truck and I drove the bitch until it died. I had a window sticker that said “Silly boys, trucks are for girls.”

They’re both looking at me, judging my face for any sign of hope. “What the hell. It’s worth a try.”

I swear I saw them both breathe finally.

“Ok, well come on. Let’s go look at the trucks.” We follow him to where they keep the trucks and I’m liking what I’m seeing. I’ve always been a Ford girl, not sure why, but I’ve always liked Fords over anything. We’re looking around and I scan the lot, when my eyes lock on one. I walk over and check it out. Smiling, “This might be it.” I say under my breath looking inside.

“Can we test drive it?” I ask.

“I’ll go get the keys.” He says and runs into the dealership.

By the time we got done with the test drive, I was sold. By the end of the whole thing I ended up buying a 2012 Ford F-150, Tuxedo Black super cab truck and it’s perfect. With grey interior, it has everything I want and need, plus plenty of room for Xander, Harlie and Axel. I paid cash for it. The money I got from the accident paid for all but $500.00. The manager discounted the $500.00, so the truck is all mine with no car payments.

“Mac, I am so sorry for putting you through hell.” I say with sympathy.

“Don’t worry about it. I get it. When my girlfriend was involved in her car accident, she did the same thing. I ended up buying her a truck. It was the only thing she felt safe in.”

“Well, thank you for everything today.”

“You can pick up the truck on Monday if you’d like. They’ll go over everything and make sure it’s ready to go for you.”

“Yay!! What time on Monday?” I ask.

“I’m here til 5pm, so any time before then.”

“We’ll be here around 10am.” Xander says.

“Great, I’ll have it ready!” Mac says and shakes our hands.

We get back to Xander’s car and leave, “You happy with your choice?” He asks me.

“Yeah, I am. I don’t even know why I didn’t think about a truck right away. I’m just hoping the doctors will let me drive.”

  “I know you are, Babe.”

“It’s ok, Xander. You being here these past few weeks has been great. It really is, but you do know, eventually, I will have to go back to my house.”

He starts to pout, “Do you really have to?”

“We can’t move in together, it’s way too soon for that.” Or is it? I don’t know how I’m going to be able to handle not seeing him every day or not sleeping with him every night.

“I guess.” He says quietly. ”You hungry?” He asks.

  “Yes.”

  “What sounds good?”

“Anything but Mexican food.” I tell him, he takes us to Applebee’s “Is this ok?” He asks.

“Hell yeah. This is perfect.” I smile.

We get seated right away and the waitress asks what we want to drink, “Mudslide!” I say way to excitedly, but fuck this shit. I haven’t taken a pain pill in a couple of days and I just bought a truck. I’m celebrating.

  “You sure?” Xander asks.

  “Yes, I’m good.”

“Ok, well I’ll take a beer.” He tells the waitress. She’s all fumbling with her words and her face is a couple shades of red when she tells us she’ll be right back.

  “She thinks you
’re hot.”

“What? No she doesn’t.” He tries to act all dumb.

“You can’t lie to me and tell me you don’t see it.”

“I’m only looking at you, Baby.”

“Yeah, ‘gag’ with your romantic shit. I know you love me and I love you too.”

“Ok, so yeah, I saw her face turn red. So what? It’ll never happen cuz I ain’t looking.”

The waitress comes back with our drinks, she hands me my drink and then gives Xander his beer. Her face is bright red, she makes eye contact with him, and “So are you ready to order?” She says to him.

I clear my throat and she ignores me. “Yes, I am ready to order.” I say in my best bitchy tone.

“So what can I get you?” Still looking at Xander. Xander is just sitting there laughing. This bitch has no idea what she’s doing and I’m about ready to stake claim on my boyfriend.

“Xander, obviously she’s blind and hard of hearing. Would you tell her what I want?” I snap.

“Sure, Babe.” He says and gives her our order, “Ok well, I’ll bring those out right away.” She winks at him and walks away. “Oh this bitch is going down.” I say under my breath.

  “You ok?” He asks.

I don’t say anything, but I’m annoyed that he didn’t put her in her place. Wait, is she one of the many tramps he fucked? Damn it, we haven’t even talked about that shit.

  “Just curious about something . . .”

  “What?” He asks.

“Did you fuck her?” I ask.

He throws his head back and starts laughing. Asshole don’t laugh at me. “No Emily, I haven’t fucked her or anyone in this place. Why are you asking me this?”

“I don’t know, I guess seeing this bitch flirt with you, it just made me think. We’ve never talked about it and I’m just starting to wonder if we’re going to run into any of them.” I look down at my hands.

  “Emily, look at me.”

I look up at him, “Em, you need to stop. Even if we were to run into any of those girls, you have to know they mean and meant nothing to me. You are the only one I want and you will always be the only one I want. Ok? Trust me. You’re it.”
